Starfire Body Piercing has great staff and many body jewelry choices. I gave them three stars because many of their policies, specifically surrounding fees, non refundable practices are for their protection versus customer satisfaction. Keep this in mind when making a piercing appointment especially if you do not live in the greater Bend area.

I really didn’t want to write anything negative but it’s now been 9 months of dealing with the damage that was done and trying to get help and being ignored or talked down to. I was pierced with too large of a gauge for my lobes and after 6 months of them trying to heal I needed a doctor to remove them and I replaced them with regular sized studs, which healed a bit more but the damage is hard to undo - also not mentioned that they only use captive ball rings and that you have to buy Then there which turned an already expensive appointment into a very very expensive appointment - when contacted about the healing issues was ignored until I pestered again and was told that for another fee they would evaluate. Ears still not healed and have paid 200+ for simple first lobes - treated rudely by all and only pressed for more money.

Way overpriced, unaccommodating, deceptive, staff is (or was) not knowledgeable and sold me jewelry that was not what they said, appointment only for basically everything except maybe buying jewelry you walk out with in a bag, and they wont help you with anything unless you purchase it from them. Absolutely do not recommend supporting this business.

Terrible experience. Extremely rude customer service. They know they are the only show in town so apparently they treat their customers like crap. Avoid this place at all costs. Very expensive too.

This is by far the best piercing shop in Central Oregon. I used to frequent another shop, but after losing multiple piercings due to improper placement, I decided to give Starfire a shot. Starfire has a completely sterile procedure and takes the time to ensure proper placement of your piercing. They work with your anatomy, and pay close attention to detail. I’ve been absolutely amazed at the difference in my healing process.

Owner is obviously knowledgeable and only sells high quality jewelry. But she did not listen to me, she just wanted to talk about how much she knows and others dont. I had my conch pierced 1 year earlier from another shop. Though I had issues with it she told me she would not put a hoop in it as the piercing was in the wrong spot. I ended up buying a stud and had her put it in but when i got home was so disappointed as it was not what i really wanted. After spending over $300 in her shop I bought a quality hoop online for $70 and put it in and I love it and it looks great. Will not return to her shop for anything!

Rude and unprofessional. I went in to ask them what I should do with an irritated piercing and in the time she could’ve just answered my question she spent it telling that she won’t help me and that I need to wait almost 3 hours for the rest of the people on their schedule which isn’t the first time this has happened either. I just needed a professional opinion and I left there feeling pissed off and annoyed with how I was treated. Never going back to this place.

Clean and quick, employees were kind and helpful. Owner who pierced me seemed like she was having a bad day - she was annoyed I brought friends and criticized some of the jewelry I was wearing. Dampened the experience :(

I have never left a review for a place before but I am currently motivated to leave a very negative one for this establishment. I don’t even want to get into the details but I made an appointment to get my nose ring replaced and ultimately had to wait almost two hours after my appointment time to be seen, while I am able to see and hear her chatting with a client she already pierced for over half an hour. The employees were lovely but the piercer and owner of the shop (Jamie) was greedy, inconsiderate, and arrogant. She talked a lot of smack about other piercing shops but I have never had such a horrendous experience at another shop. I would rather get pierced at the circus, which is a notoriously bad idea, than ever see her again. I spent more money than would have ever been necessary and am just incredibly disappointed with my experience and star fire as a whole. I have heard that it’s really hit or miss on whether or not you have a good experience here. But I would argue that the only way you’d have a pleasant experience is if you have a spare $500 to burn or if the piercer decides that you’re worth talking to like an adult.

Ive had many piercings done over the past 10 years and never have I ever left an appointment feeling so terrible and unsure about myself.First off, the piercing room is not private by any means, every one in that shop can hear your conversation with the piercer. My partner, who was sitting in the lobby area, mentioned when we got in the car that he could hear how terribly she spoke to me.Second, she was clearly knowledgable but Ive never dealt with a piercer with such a superiority complex. She gave her opinion of already placed piercings I didnt ask for, and where she wouldve placed them. She placed my new nostril piercing where I asked, but not without giving me a speech about how she wouldve done it better first. Im very happy with where my nostril piercings are and I left feeling like Id made a mistake.Lastly, I was charged for a can of saline spray without being asked if I needed it. If you require that to be included, include it in your price of piercing. Dont charge me without my permission for me to find out I spent an extra $15 on something I already had at home.I dont usually leave reviews but Im still thinking about this experience a week later. Usually I leave piercing appointments feeling confident, but this time I felt diminished. From what ive read it seems like other reviewers have had similar experiences.

Terrible service. Over 200$ for this piercing service and I had to take it out for a procedure and couldn’t get back in. It was a custom cork screw, never had it done before, and would not help me to get it back in. The woman who pierced me literally walked away, with no one in the store, as soon as I asked for help. They offered a 2 week appt, because that’s how “booked they were”, and aren’t open on weekends!Over priced for the terrible service. Went to Trend Kill in Redmond, not only did they offer to put mine back in, for free, but I ended up picking better jewelry that wasn’t overpriced and fit better. Super nice people there, worth the 20m drive.

I got my nose pierced at starfire 3 years ago so I thought I should go there for a new ball despite the terrible things I had heard about them. I got a ball, had to come back the next day and paid for them to put it in- a couple weeks later I realized it fell out without me knowing I went back in there cause I thought maybe they could help me out but they literally just told me I could buy another one and make another appointment to get it put in, not the friendliest/ caring environment I will not be spending anymore money or time there.

Dont go in unless you have had all your piercing done by someone at Starfire and all of your jewelry is from Starfire. Otherwise, they WILL NOT touch you. No change-outs on anything done at a different shop cause apparently its like an industry thing. These are salespeople youre working with and they just want to make money regardless of who gets screwed in the process. Went home with the same stud I went there to get changed out and a $140 piece of jewelry that probably cost $15 to make. Plus they told me to figure it out even though I made it ckear I was struggling with removing the stuff on my own. t home even . Do they not have linsurance or something? so they have to be extra picky about who/what they work on. Either that or they are just a snobby and greedy group of people. Also, why dont they make it clear on their homepage, up front and center, that they will ONLY serve people whom had had their work done at Starfire and they only use Starfire jewelry. Itd save a lot of people a lot of time and money. Plus, it would knock out like half of their bad reviews.

Went in just looking to buy jewelry. Everything is insanely overpriced, they had me look at their website but everything I asked about they didn’t have in stock. Had an employee say they would check their stock for me only to start helping other customers who had come in after us. Even after helping this other person we were never helped again so we literally just left. I know I wouldn’t have purchased there anyway because I was looking for a replacement for a piece I already had and they charge $60 more than I originally paid for it. You’re better off ordering jewelry online or driving to another city.

My experience with the piercer was very positive. Other than that, negative experience. The prices there are extremely unreasonable. Theyre the only body piercing shop in town and my nose ring had fallen out, so I needed an emergency filler ring. The cheapest one they had was $300 (they said normally their cheapest is $150, but they were completely sold out of them). I didnt have that, but it was an emergency, so I borrowed from people. I asked the staff what size I needed to get. They told me. I buy it. I bring it home--its too big. I tried for 30 minutes and it wouldnt go in. So I had to dash into Claires as it was closing and get like a $17 ring that gave me an infection. I tried to bring the nose ring back to be returned to Starfire the next day and they said they dont do returns. I asked if I could exchange it for one that was actually in my size, as it was their staff that measured my nose hole in the first place. They said no, my only option was to make an appointment with them to pay to have it repierced LARGER. I dont want a larger hole in my nose in order to adjust to their $300 mistake. I made minimum wage. I couldnt get much to eat that month because I had emergency purchased the nose ring they told me would fit. They absolutely do not do not do not have pity when their staff make mistakes that cost you, and they were going to still charge me for a full piercing to get it redone. So Im just out $300 now. I have not been back in two years because it was such a discouraging experience. I do not plan to ever return. I go to Portland if I want piercings. I order nose rings online (the same exact $300 nose ring is online for $75! So I know theyre way overcharging their customers). Its too bad because I do really like the staff there, thats why I didnt give this only one star. It is not the fault of the staff that the company has these policies. I do wish the person who measured my nose had been better trained. But what are you going to do? People are fallible. Thats why I wish the company would take accountability for when they dont train their staff well enough.

Paid $67 for a 1.5 mm cubic zirconia tiny stud for my ear and the girl wouldn’t help me put it in. It was so tiny I dropped it while trying to put it in myself. It’s gone forever. Went back in to buy another and asked if she would put it in for me if I bought another one. She said I needed an appointment…can I make an appointment for right now? She said no. So instead of taking 2 min to be kind and help someone out who just wasted $67 she gets a 1 star review.

Went in because i got my nose pierced somewhere in colorado and don’t know how to take it out. I paid 143 dollars for a single nose ring and they didn’t help me put it in or take mine out even after I told them the only reason i came was because i can’t get mine out. Then they told me to do it at home. Overall very bad service and very expensive. And on top of you you can’t even return the item even if it has never even been taken out of the packaging.

I spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars in this store. Once covid happened. The owner because the most unreasonable greedy person in Bend. I’ll go to trendkill who have hours that are good for customers, not the entitled owner. I hope to see another shop open drive starfire out for good.

Owner/piercer is rude. I waited 30 minutes while she talked to a friend in front of me. Then she told me I was unhygienic with bad habits because I touched my ear that was pierced (I was there to get my nose done). She was efficient other than that but has been doing it so long she obviously doesn’t care about customer service. For the high price I expected more than I got. I won’t be going back.

I had a wonderful experience today. My first time being pierced. It was a breeze. Cool people greet you help you pick out jewelry and then pierce you. Great instructions on aftercare. Make yourself an appointment.

Years ago Jamie was my piercer and now my teen daughter will only go to Jamie. She knows her stuff and is an impeccable artist through and through. The staff are very helpful and sweet, too. We can’t recommend Starfire more strongly.

Wildly pretentious and made me very uncomfortable. I went in for an easy jewelry swap and the process was overcomplicated and the woman helping me wasnt able to answer a single question without a pamphlet. They ended up not swapping my jewelry because she didnt know what size it was and couldnt tell and wouldnt help me decide. Clearly not an industry professional, most people at other piercing shops can be at least somewhat helpful. Im never going back.

I watched Jamie work on a few clients before I knew she was the best and I would let her pierce my nose! As an ex EMT, I saw how careful and sanitary and professional she is. Her knowledge of piercing is amazing and her mannerism is calming. Awesome lady! The staff is fabulous and I find the jeweley prices are fair with a good selection. I have recommended Starfire many times!

Ive been here 3 times before to get some work done, and recently vame back this morning to get my right nostril done. The staff is amazing! Their welcoming demeanor really helped calm what little jitters i had left before going into the piercing room. They are very clean and quick. I will definitely be going back for the rest of my piercings.

This place has really gone downhill used to use them for all of my piercing and I don’t think I’ll ever come back again. Staff were rude and tried to up-charge me and my partner for an earring backing. The prices are insane here for cheap jewelry that I could get from the same wholesaler. The piercer was rude as well. Said one of her own piercings on me was done incorrectly. Never coming back.

Unreal customer service! Seriously, I want to be besties with all these folks! 🤣 Enormous selection of really high quality body jewelry-I cannot recommend them highly enough.

The front desk ladies were rad and everything was clean. They had a decent selection with a wide variety of pricing. I thought my piercing was a bit expensive, especially since it didnt include the jewelry- I had to buy separately. The wait wasnt too bad, and the girl who did my piercing was nice enough. I think Ill try another shop before I choose to go back... it just didnt feel very welcoming once I decided against purchasing the more expensive jewelry and the added saline spray that I already had.

Would have loved to give more stars. Really friendly staff. Chipper, enthusiastic. My daughter called to get a price for a piercing for her 14th birthday and she was told $50. We came in today, got the piercings, and the lady was professional and friendly. I paid $100, thinking that my daughter was mistaken and it was $50 for each ear. Tonight I told my daughter that it was $100, and she said she was told it was $50, so I called the shop to clarify. The employee told me I paid extra for the more expensive hoops. The problem is that we were only shown the expensive hoops. She mentioned “and we have sterling silver” at the end of her spiel, but I assumed they were more expensive - they weren’t . To make a long, slightly boring story short, we talked and she said although she may have made a mistake by misleading us on our choices, they couldn’t do anything about it. I should have clarified at the checkout, but assumed that my daughter’s understanding of the price was incorrect, but rather I was paying double for more expensive jewelry. Bummer is I liked the shop, but feel taken advantage of and have a residual yucky feeling. They could have kept us as customers with a simple acceptance of responsibility and a reimbursement, but I can’t see taking my daughters back there again. A good lesson on customer service.

Should have just read the reviews before coming in. All I wanted was a nose ring. The girl started showing me almost 200.00 nose rings. In my case, they always fall out so I don’t want to spend that much money on one. The girl then showed me other nose rings at the bottom of the case and said “normally, I don’t even show these”. Well that was what I was looking for. I picked one .. that was incredibly over priced but I was still going to just get it anyway. I told the girl and she walked away, and started talking to a friend. We waited for a bit so I could just get my nose ring and leave, but she kept ignoring us. So we left, and we will never be back. I was willing to drop 30 dollars on a nose ring that is about 10 dollars in a mall but that wasn’t good enough. Forget this place.

I want to give zero stars, but Im giving two to take accountability for some of the poor experience I had at Starfire. I went in a couple months ago to buy some jewelry and make an appointment for two piercings, one in each nostril. The girl at the front desk comes off super nice, but shes pushy. I can look past that for good quality piercings. I waited patiently for two months, and I was super excited when the day came. I got there early to pick out my jewelry. Up front, I asked for simple studs because I knew I wouldnt be able to change my jewelry for a few months while it was healing. Again, I felt pressured to go with more expensive jewelry. When she left me to browse, I asked the other super nice gentleman to show me the more affordable studs because the prices are next to impossible to read in the display case. He was great and showed me more options. Turns out, they were out of the super basic clear bezel stones (which were still like $60 a piece, on top of the cost for each piercing). I was offered an alternative in the same size/style, but with a blue tint. Not really whay I wanted, but I was willing to go with it because I knew I could change them eventually. After selecting my jewelry, I went to pay and realized my debit card was not in my wallet. Admittedly, that was totally my mistake! I said I could have my husband read the card numbers off on the phone, but they wouldnt accept that. I said I could run home and grab it (I live 7 minutes away and had arrived early), but she said there probably wouldnt be time with traffic. So I said, I guess Ill need to reschedule. I was so sad, because I knew Id probably have to wait a while again. Then the lady informed me that I could reschedule, but my $50 non-refundable deposit was also not transferable. What?! So, because I felt like I had no other choice, I asked them if I could try to rush home and grab my card. They agreed. By the time I got in my car, I was so flustered I was in tears. On the drive home, I realized that even if I got back in time, the last thing I wanted was a piercer to rush through putting holes in my face. When I got home I called and cancelled, forfeiting my deposit, and told them I wasnt going to reschedule. All in all, Im glad it didnt work out. They lost an additional $200+ dollars from me all so they could keep my lousy $50 deposit. Plus the other piercings I have planned down the road! In retrospect, with all the upselling and pressure, it really felt like I was dealing with car salesmen. Except car salesmen are more flexible! There are other good options in Central Oregon. This place is clean, but their business practices feel shady. I wish I would have listened to my friend who had warned me ahead of time and saved my time and money!

The place is clean. The girls at the front were quite nice but I did notice a lot of push for upselling. Hoops were my only option for my second and third lobe piercing which I thought was odd. I was informed that they heal better, quicker and are superior in quality to studs for new piercings. I felt quite rushed through the entire process and went home following their care instructions to the tee even with their saline solution. Unfortunately, I still had issues with irritation and a scar tissue bump. I swapped out the hoops for studs on my own while still following their instructions with no problems after. A year later I let them close and decided to review because I didn’t care for the placement and chose to go elsewhere since my first experience was average. This place gets the job done but not my first choice.

Person at front desk didnt seem to know what he was doing. I went in for a replacement on a piece Id gotten from them, told him I hadnt seen it on their site so thought Id go in to check and see if they could give me the maker so I can get it repaired/replaced.He spent several minutes futzing with their website only to tell me what I already knew: that they didnt have it. He also seemed kind of haughty/egotistical.

The entire staff was very helpful and nice. Jaime did an amazing job on explain how to properly take care of my new piercings and she helped me learn more about how to take care of my sensitive skin with my new piercing. She did an amazing job on mine and my sisters piercings!

Jaime is awesome! Shes done a bunch of my piercings and made every visit a positive one. Great selection of jewelry. I always find something I want. The gals working the front are knowledgeable, helpful and super friendly.

They have the potential of being great with lots of options, but they were a little rude, inflexible… and were really pushy trying to up-sell. They would not do reservations, you just had to stay in the store with all the other people and wait for two hours. (During the hight of COVID?!) We left and went to Claire’s in the Old Mill and felt they were much nicer.

Starfire is the only piercing studio I can trust, wholeheartedly, to get pierced.The shop is clean with sanitized equipment, jewelry is high quality, and everyone working here is super welcoming and down to earth.None of my piercings done by Jamie have ever gotten infected or had any issues when healing.👍

Absolutely amazing! Start to finish exceptional experience. Could not imagine a better place for my daughter to get her ears pierced for the first time. I was the nervous one and they made me feel confident and comfortable. Highly recommend

Best studio Ive been in my life! Wonderful and helpful staff, friendly. Jamie is super nice. I havent had a problem with any of the piercings I have gotten done there. Very hygienic and has a large selection of jewelry in the studio.I recommend it to everyone considering a piercing! And Jamies cars always impress:-)

I came into the shop for a nose piercing. The ladies at the front desk were very sweet and meant well. However, I was given conflicting information by them and Jamie (the piercer). So I wanted my piercing to match up as close as possible to to my nose ring on the opposite nostril. Originally I wanted a stud but the gals at the front told me that it would not be possible with another stud, that a ring would be better given the opposite nostril placement. Even though it seemed odd to me their information was clear so I went on to make the purchase. It was a Saturday so yes it was busy, but they gave me no time estimate and over two hours of waiting it was finally my turn. Jamie seems like a nice lady however she talks a mile a minute and like many of the other reviews really rushes the situation. She seems very knowledgeable, however again like many of the other reviews was quick to tell me what was wrong with my other piercings (which were all done at a reputable shop in San Francisco by a woman with 30+ years of experience and all of her credentials mounted on the wall for all to refer to). She also told me the quality of my jewelry was not great (which I know is not true). Anyways she went on with her platinum tounge filling me with so much information and making two marks on my nostril telling me they were my only two placement options if I ever wanted to wear a stud. Both options did not come close to matching the other side...and yet Ive always been able to wear a ring or stud on the other side...she went on to convince me that the stud I had in did not fit correctly ( even though Ive never had a problem with it in the past 6 years)...so even though I had a bad gut feeling I let her smooth saleswoman skills get the best of me. After it was done I was a bit concerned that the ring felt tight on my nostril, but Jamie assured me it would loosen up after swelling went down...after a few days of thoroughly fallowing her care instructions the ring was still CLEARLY too tight, so tight that the piercing was starting to migrate downwards making an ugly line looking hole. I thought about calling them to see if they could do something for me but Im going to go with my gut this time and stay away from this shop. I have taken out my nose ring and so far looks like it will heal without scaring. I know this is a very long review but hope it helps anyone who is thinking about getting pierced there. I just think if your shop and service is that great you shouldnt have to blab the way Jamie does. Im sure she has done some good work...I mean there are more good reviews than bad, but in my case Jamies work spoke louder than her mouth and was far less smooth.

Honestly super displeased with the service. Normally don’t write reviews but this was ridiculous. Not only did they sell me ridiculously over priced ear rings that was impossible to get on, the next when I went back and asked to have help screwing on the back of the ear ring they wanted me to schedule and pay for an appointment that would be at the soonest three weeks out to literally screw on the back of an earring I bought from them.

These girls are AMAZING!!! Honestly can’t understand how someone would ever leave them a bad review. Everyone was super nice and helpful, they made sure I loved my jewelry and that everything would compliment one another before going through with the piercings. Super clean, they were helpful with after care and made sure I knew the best way to keep a healthy piercing. Would 100% recommend them to anybody wanting a piercing!

Great staff. Jamie is awesome and super sweet and reassuring about your uncertainty about certain peircings. Aside from her the real stars are the staff she employs! Super great friendly and always really helpful with an questions you may have about jewelry, prices, and peircings. Best customer service! Also they are very good at wearing mask properly and following covid guidelines and social distancing.

The Experience here is a whole lot of fun. The staff is absolutely more than accommodating super friendly super fun and honestly theyre kind of all dorks which I really love. They may go in there and get nose Dairy piercing or a random common piercing a whole lot of fun have a lot of jewelry as well as merchandised photos everywhere but definitely recommend

My daughter and I both had our ears pierced by Jamie at Starfire. The studio has a professional, clean atmosphere and she was great about explaining the procedure and how to take care of it once we got home. The jewelry was quality as well and they had a good selection. The staff was fun and helped us feel comfortable. It was a great experience!

Beautiful store and jewelry. Definitely come here if you have a lot of money to spend. But don’t bother with their affordable options I got a hoop earring for $18, and the ball fell out second day. Wasn’t rough with it, just a horrible design.

Very nice employees and very sanitary. However I came in with my MEDICALLY PRESCRIBED service dog and Jamie had a fit and tried to force my husband AND MY MEDICALLY PRESCRIBED SERVICE DOG to go back to the car! When we finally got her to make a compromise she said she was going to do my piercings then get us out immediately! She even passively-aggressively insulted my condition by saying that this is our livelihood and we cant put it on the line. I understand that but we are talking about MY LIVELIHOOD AND MEDICAL SAFETY. Also she nearly broke the law by saying that because I had a service animal I could not be there. My previous experience with them was very good but after THIS? Starfire has lost my business.

Amazing jewelry, incredibly approachable and friendly staff, immaculate studio. Jamie is creative, thoughtful and so so knowledgeable; not to mention hilarious & quick with the actual piercing so its as painless as possible. Love this place!

Jamie is the best and the staff is lovely. I only gave four stars instead of five because the custom earring I ordered still hasnt come in and I ordered it in Nov 2021. Other than that, love this place.

Excellent service. The ladies at the front were well informed of how the procedure would happen and explained the difference between the various piercings. Jamie was kind and very professional with the way she handled everything. They gave clear instructions on how to care for my piercing, which was very helpful.

Jamie is simply the best. Her shop is immaculate, her jewelry is legit gorgeous and shes incredibly knowledgable. Its such a fun + luxe experience to get pierced with some incredible jewerly by such an amazing person.

This place is amazing. do not read the negative reviews. you go to a piercing place, yea, they’re gonna cuss. that’s life, don’t complain that it’s “bad customer service” because everybody who works there is AMAZING. and yes, things there are expensive but never have i ever ONCE got an infection or keloids or cauliflower ear. there jewelry is top quality and i would never recommend somewhere different. i got my industrial pierced at a different place and regretted it, they changed my jewelry and now i can sleep on it happily!!! i’ve come here for 3 years and will never change. they have a great selection of jewelry and if you can’t find what you like, they’ll order it!!!!!! 100/10 recommend this place.

Absolutely amazing staff! Top notch service from start to finish. I went in to get a rook piercing and came out with a beautiful piercing and a fantastic education on how to care for it. To top it off they were great about recommending that I call with any questions since I live so far away... I highly recommend, and plan to be a repeat customer!!

I am taken aback from the unprofessionalism from the owner of this establishment and am upset that i can’t leave 0 stars. the only good experience i’ve had here was with an employee that unfortunately no longer works there, and i’m happy that she doesn’t because she doesn’t have to put up with the owner anymore. her attitude is unacceptable and makes you feel bad about going anywhere else to get pierced because she thinks she’s the only one who can do it right. also good luck getting an appointment within the next 4 months… like i said she’s the “only one” who can pierce you because none of her other employees can(there’s about 15). happy to never walk in there again.

The woman at the front desk didnt seem to know what I was talking about when I was asking for a shorter threadless posts for my nose.They also dont sell 20g jewelry.Will continue to look for a place more knowledgeable.

I was afraid to come here with the negative reviews…. My daughter n I came by today to get new jewelry... I don’t remember her name, but, she was awesome!!! So helpful, very informative, super cool!! I would never go anywhere else! I hope people try it out without the negativity in mind. Super Awesome!!!!

Looking forward to getting pierced after visiting their website. They look to have an array of really beautiful jewelry and some unique pieces too. They do seem to be a bit on the expensive side, but Im certainly no expert. Their site had great reviews from ppl who have actually had piercings done there. My daughter and I both want specialty ear piercings done so Ill follow up and see if they are as good as their site leads me to believe.~sk

Jamie and the staff at Starfire were so genuinely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable without any pressure — not intimidating to be there at all, only got starry eyed from so many amazing pieces to look at and choose from!I purchased a new rook earring and went back a few hours later to have Jamie change it out for me — she is super cool and I can tell she cares about making sure her customers are getting the right treatment for their needs.I happened to be visiting on a short trip to Bend and was only there to specifically check out their gold jewelry but left knowing I would have to return for the rest of my piercings and earrings! I can’t wait!Lovely place!

I only gave 2 stars because she did a good job educating us about caring for piercings, she was clean and the other staff was amazing. That being said dont do kids pircings if your going to be a jerk about the kids coming into your shop! My kids were not even being loud or disrespectful there and my friends have said that the lady was rude to their kids too. I feel like the other staff tries to make up for the attitude of this lady here. Take your kids elsewhere....there are other places that will treat everyone of ALL ages respectfully.

In the span of 4 years Ive spent a little over $1000 on piercings and upgraded jewelry, and in no way am I complaining of the price because you get what you pay for and I returned each and every single time anytime I want a new piece or piercing, because the place was friendly, clean, and reputable. Recently at the beginning of the year, I decided I wanted a new piercing and to have my nose ring put back. It wasnt a pleasant experience with a little snobby attitude but I figured it was a bad day and that was fine with me because I have enjoyed the place for over 4 years, one little hitch wasnt going to make me stop coming back. I return 2 weeks later to have it shortened and the attitude and unfriendliness was still there, at this point its a little disappointing. Fast forwarding, today I had an mri appointment and needed to get some retainers for my piercings and I ended up spending 100$ on just retainers and requested to have them put in because a lot of piercings I have are difficult, to have Jamie say its not something she should need to do or want to do because she doesnt make money and its taking up her time. Mind you there is no one in the shop but me. To top it off with rude comments about one piece of jewelry I had that was in fact from the shop it just had different ends.Im sorry but you would think a repeat customer of 4 years and as much as Ive spent there she would be happy enough to do a service for me, even after I spent $100 for retainers from the shop!No longer will be bringing my business or recommending this piercing shop to anyone!

Ive been coming here for years. I know that when I come here, the girls are always honest and really do look out for my best interests. 10/10 would recommend. Jamie and staff are the best and they will continue to be the only piercing shop I will go to for all my jewelry/ piercing needs!

Really friendly staff! Professional, clean and they take all all of the covid precautions seriously. Our artist gave us thorough instructions on how to take care of the piercing and was super-knowledgable. Great experience! Looking forward to come back.

My daughter, a couple of her friends and I visited Starfire so that my daughter could get a non-lobe ear piercing. My daughter had turned 18 the week prior, so she didnt need a parent there; she could use her ID and sign the required paperwork herself. The staff was very welcoming of our entire group, allowing us to sit on a bench inside the piercing room while the technician explained to my daughter all of the ins and outs of caring for a cartilage piercing. She was very professional and personable, making it a relaxed atmosphere but with a clinical approach to the work being done. A very sharp needle was used to make the piercing and my daughter said it did not hurt much at all; much better than the guns used at the mall ear piercing shops. Starfire carries a nice selection of high-quality products, so it was easy for my daughter to find the jewelry she wanted for her piercing and feel confident is was safe jewelry. Totally positive experience.

My boyfriend and I went to Starfire to get our tongues pierced earlier today. Jamie was our piercer and she did amazing! She was straight to it and wasnt going around corners. All of the staff was super sweet and gave us great advice. Really opened our minds to piercing and if I plan on another piercing will definitely be returning!

I only give a 2 because the ladies were nice. the first time i went there was to get my nose pierced with a stud. the wait was a 2 hours but that was understandable considering they had to clean the whole room after each person because of corona. the next time i went was 5 months later to change to something else, i wanted a ring. i told the lady at the front that this time i was hoping for a ring and she replied that i wasn’t pierced for a ring so if i ever wanted a ring i’d have to get another piercing. which i thought was odd because i never asked to only be pierced for a stud. but then i just chose another stud that was $140!!! this was my first change so i wanted them to put it in for me but they said that they’d have to see how long the wait was and they’d have to clean the whole room after. even though we were the only ones there...(so in other words they just didn’t want to) so she showed me how and we left. later i washed my face and sanitized my new stud to get ready to put it in. i took out my old one and tried to put in my new one literally no more than 10 seconds later and the inside of my hole had closed already and was too thick to push through...within an hour it didn’t even look like i had ever gotten a nose piercing. nobody at the shop had warned me that it would close in a matter of seconds. so the next day i went back and they told me that i’d have to get it pierced again...but it would have to be with new jewelry because “they can’t use jewelry that has left the shop”, which would all add up to about $200(which is how much i paid for getting my nose pierced with there jewelry the first time). definitely not going here again.

Got two piercings recently and the whole staff was super friendly and made me feel super comfortable. jamie was very smart and straight to the point when it came to the actual piercing part and after care. definitely coming back to this shop to get more piercings in the future!

Sold me some seemingly faulty jewelry, did nothing to fix the situation but make me drive back across town so they could tell me I wasted money to my face. Aside from that everyone in there is super nice! I’m gonna be taking my business only to Trend Kill when I’m in central Oregon as they have always made sure everything is right and when they mess up they give out replacements, all around a better shop. Don’t waste your money here, just drive the extra 20 minutes.

Terrible customer service. Two separate customers came in after us and got service and left before we were treated. Questions were not even addressed. Instead other customers took priority. Six piercings over 5 years time Former customer. We will not be returning. One last thing, young children should not be allowed in. They no doubt breathed in marijuana. Bad atmosphere.

The gal that waited on us was very thurl and helpful when it came to looking at multiple options and pricing but once we decided on a piece of body jewelry that needed to be swapped out for the one that was already in the girl that does the actual piercing was very rude and condescending towards the prior place that we had purchased and gotten the body piercing done at as well as put down the placement which led to my daughter feeling kind of insecure on whether or not her piercing was done correctly I felt that it was very unprofessional for the lady doing the piercing to put down another place just because we had not gone to their shop. Which we did not live in Oregon at the time but now that we have been to the shop we will probably not return prices are extremely high and we just werent very happy with how we fell after leaving

I cannot recommend Jaime enough. She is professional, the environment is super clean and inviting. The entire staff makes you feel comfortable and welcome. I just cant say enough good things about Starfire.

A little expensive but worth the money. The people there are EXTREMELY knowledgeable and the quality of the jewelry is outstanding. Definitely not your typical/cliche piercing studio. This place is top notch in every aspect and therefore the high prices are completely justified and worth it.

Super friendly staff, but they sold me a septum ring too small for my big honkin nose. No returns, which I get cause thats nasty, but they were very condescending when I brought it back to have it put in professionally- the piercer pinched my nasal flesh hard in the process. They bashed on my old ring which never have me a single prob. Made me sad. Clean shop. The piercer also complained loudly about too much business for her to grab lunch. Maybe she was having a bad day. Maybe I was putting off bad energy. Who knows. Ive heard piercing is way cheaper in Redmond anyway

I was really impressed with how my experience wont at Starfire. The staff was very friendly and personable, they were incredibly knowledgeable and my piercings have been healing amazingly. Their jewelry is top of the line and I wouldnt trust anyone else to pierce me with the same quality.

Great customer service! The galls there are really into their work and provide top notch information and make you feel at home. There is playful banter and brutal honesty. If they dont recomend something they will let you know.Also I had gotten an industrial and at first I wanted it on my right side. But it can only work on my left. They told me this and why that is. I do not suggest going here. I got my second and third holes done at the same time. Jamie is a very nice person and I think she means well but you are only allowed to pierce with hoops, witch is a bad idea, but me not knowing much I went along with it. Later my ears never healed and got very infected. I went down to trend kill and I was informed I needed to go see a doctor to get on medication because of how bad the piercings were. I took very good care of them and nothing helped it. I have giant bumps on the back of my ear and it’s very painful. So if you are debating going to Starfire, please, proceed with caution.

Initially I was very pleased with my daith piercing, but after 5 months of excellent home care it is still in pain. I went in to talk with the staff about it and was immediately blamed for the lack of healing. During my piercing Jamie seemed very rushed and I didnt even have time to ask her questions. This made me uncomfortable as it was my first time going to this shop. Not sure Ill return. Ive heard other stories of rushed piercings or incorrect piercings even from her frequent customers.Edit:Over a year later I went to another studio (Black Hole in Portland) to change out my jewelry. The piercer told me that quality jewelry does not immediately break when removed like my daith jewelry did. This confirmed my fear that my jewelry wasnt great quality and that may have caused the year+ it took my ear to heal. Another thing to note is that Black hole has repeatedly heard about Starfires reputation and has clients that frequently come all the way up to Portland to avoid the studio.Another note: Dont buy their saline spray. Buy saline spray at the pharmacy.

We consulted with StarFire about piercing practices for our 1 year old. Kept on getting a yes but they then decided last second when we came in to “not recommend” yet when I asked them about where their morals are placed in today’s standards with having out little girls ears Pierced by what I would perceived to be By professionals they flat out would not tell me if they refused service or not. They just kept on beating around the bush and wasting my time and most importantly my daughters time. I intentionally went to you because you were a professional practice that deals with a day-to-day basis of ear piercing and other types of body modifications. Yet you tell us that going to Claire’s is the worst idea which definitely is but then don’t offer us the best option. At the end of the day I wouldn’t recommend this business to ANYONE. Save your time and find another studio.

The greatest piercing shop Ive ever been to. I learned more about metals for my piercing and proper care than anywhere else Ive been.The piercer talked me through the process, let me know when she would touch me and why, as well as what to expect.Amazing variety of jewelry, especially gauged earrings.

Always love going back to the shop when Im in town! Love them all there, they are always so nice and helpful. Best selection of jewellery I have found, anywhere! I live in the valley now and have yet to find anywhere that has the quality or quantity that they do.

EXTREMELY OVERLY PRICED. I can get 5 pairs of the same gauges for the price that theyll charge you for one pair. 104 dollars is pretty ridiculous for one pair of plain black double flare steel gauges. If you can order online from somewhere else I highly recommend doing so. Even paying for the shipping is cheaper than going to this place where they steal all of your money because they know they can get away with it

We took our sweet little eight year old to get her ears pierced, Jamie and her staff were so kind and spoke TO our daughter, making her feel valued. She walked out of there with her head held high and ready to take care of her ears just like Miss Jamie told her.

I used to love this place, been in several times over the years, but recently returning has left a really poor impression with me and I really don’t want to give them my business. The jewelry options are quite limited while the piercer has the attitude of turning and burning. I hope they can amp up their selection and give a variety of prices/available jewelry and the piercer can bring some of that personality back that made me enjoy visiting so much.

Ever since the now forced appointments and shortened operation hours, it just seems that they dont have the quality time anymore for the customer, cutting corners and not simply finishing the job. Id search elsewhere for a better customer service experience.

The staff can come off as condescending and rude, and the products are overpriced for their quality. I would not go back unless I had to. My piercing also took an exceptionally long time to heal, with excellent home care.

I went in September to get my rook pierced, the dark haired gal that helped me talked a mile a minute and made me feel VERY rushed and a little overwhelemed, like a robot who is proud that she knows everything but has no empathy or reasoning that I literally know nothing about piercings, so happy that you are so cool and that you know so much!! I Went to the back to get pierced and the lady that did my piercing was nice enough, a little into her looks and talking about getting botox in her eyebrows during the piercing...weird... anyways, here I am in January with a swollen ear and a NASTY bump that will not go away. I am a very clean persistent person who has a great routine and cleaned my ear twice a day, soaking in warm sea salt water, and it was still not getting any better. Went to a shop in Redmond after my ear wont return to normal size, he advised that the piercing was not done at the right angle, (shouldve been 90 degrees) and she went WAY too deep and this will most likely never heal, he took it out for free, and when I told him how much I paid for it ($144 with cleaner) he wasnt trying to sell me but stated his price which was alot cheaper! Like $30. He said it most likely never would have healed and the bump never would go away. Do you think I want to go back to the pushy mile a minute lady at the front desk to get a refund or let them know what they did wrong, Im guessing not, nor that they would really care, they got my money! Please do not go here my piercings was done incorrectly and would not heal, even after 3 month of nursing it and not touching it hardly at all! and the more I talked to people, the more I hear negative things and the fact that they try to upsell you on everything to make money shouldve been a red flag and I shouldve done my research! Not worth it!

This was a terrible experience. The woman who pierced my nose was condescending and tacky. She kept scoffing under her breath because my answer about when I will be showering and washing my piercing was variable. Im a mom with a toddler and was wanting to do something fun to feel better. This place was disappointing. I had heard about other negative experiences, but thought I would still give it a go in case it was just subjective. MISTAKE. Advice to consumers: find another place in Bend to get a piercing.

I am only give one star cause everyone was nice. I’m sure everyone has heard the term “you get what you paid for” this doesn’t apply here! It’s super expensive and I’ve had to have my piercings re done cause the were crooked which is the reason they never healed after a year! Don’t waste your money people. Go somewhere else who knows what they are doing verses talking like they do. I’m never recommending anyone to go here. Save yourself money and unnecessary pain. Went to get my ears peirced for the first time! The staff was very funny and talkative and nice. Jamie (the one who peirced my ears) was nice and talked me through the procedure. Overall it was clean and i would definitely recommend getting your peircing done here. :)

Jamie did my ears and my helix from having the old holes close up from a while ago and did a fantastic job doing it. The staff was very nice and they were wonderful. Definitely going back to get my second ear piercings and my nose.

The jewel on my monroe piercing came off when I was visiting Bend and I couldnt find it so I dropped into Starfire for new jewelry. I was very rushed, struggled to get good help, and was sold a very overpriced piece that is TERRIBLE QUALITY. Ive had my piercing for over 10 years and I bought a useless piece of junk for $38 bucks was so poorly made and has such crappy threads that the jewelry would not tighten effectively and stay in place. It literally falls out every hour, even after my partner got in my mouth with a pair of pliers and really tightened it down and I had to replace it two days later when I returned to Portland. I purchased replacement jewelry that was much higher quality and was only $20. The Starfire purchase was a useless, overpriced POS. I cant speak to the quality of actual piercing work they do here, but I believe that their jewelry (at least monroe selection) is very low quality.

DO NOT GO HERE! I am not one to post a bad review but my experience here was BEYOND AWFUL! They would only pierce using a hoop and within a week my cartilage piercing became infected. I tried everything to heal it (including going to other piercers to change the hoop to a stud and obtain advice on healing). I finally had to take it out after a year of constant infections and now I have a huge bump where the piercing used to be from all the scar tissue that came from the infections. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Totally love this place, have had so many issues from previous places all over L.A, & Vegas, and after moving here, I have finally found a great place with friendly, knowledgeable staff and no bs. Cant express how relived I am, wouldve never expected a small town like Bend to have what I need. Goes to show, never judge a book by its cover :) (fixed my irritated bump on my nose, & healed everything without scaring)

The one time I got pierced at Starfire it was done by Jamie and I got my cartilage pierced. When I was picking out jewelry at the counter, I was told that I could not have a stud for my initial piercing like I had wanted, and was only allowed a hoop. Being oblivious to the fact that this information was entirely false, I got a hoop. The piercing experience itself was pretty good/average. After a few days, the piercing began to get infected despite me following the exact care instructions given to me. After another two days, the piercing was so swollen and infected that I went to Trendkill in Redmond to have them take the earring out. While working with the fantastic people at Trendkill, they informed me that me not being able to get a stud for my initial piercing was BS, and also the hoop they gave me was THREE SIZES too big for my first cartilage piercing. Not only that, but Starfires aftercare instructions werent following the proper protocol. Trendkill managed to remove the piercing for me free of charge, and gave me proper instructions to cure the infection I was given. Sadly, even though the infection is healed and the hole closed, a scar still remains on my ear from Starfire not knowing what the hell they are doing. I have had lots of friends have both great and terrible experiences at Starfire, but when it comes to piercings, I am not willing to gamble between a good or bad experience. Or another infection. Ill be sticking to the awesome staff at Trendkill. They know what they are doing and their service/prices are incredible.

All the ladies were awesome super helpful ! Totally recommend I have always had problems with piercings never could get them to stay no matter how much I ocd cleaned them and for whatever reason havent had a problem with the new piercing. Im thinking quality of products definitely going back for more !

Great place in bend to go get your piercings.. Ive been going there since I was 16 and haven’t experienced any problems and love all my jewelry. The ladies are all so rad but make sure not to touch your piercings in front of them or you won’t hear the end of it! Haha

I had my nipples pierced, one side was extremely crooked and a year and a half later I have developed an abscess. I will be heading to the ER today. Worse experience of my life. Immediately after I got it pierced I noticed slight inflammation and ultimately had to remove the jewelry and let it heal and yet still, a year and a half later I am developing an extremely painful abscess. This entire process has been a nightmare. I had a great experience with getting my lip pierced through starfire but I would caution anyone with a busty chest before they get there nipples pierced there.

This place is so amazing I came in desperate for a new industrial and I feel so bad I dont remember her name she was in today at 11:30 helped me so kindly and Im lost of words with how amazing she was and the whole place.

When you go into starfire prepare yourself for a ear full on whats wrong with your current piercings. I went in there one time looking at their plugs, one of the staff came over and told me that I was wearing the wrong type of metal in my industrial even though I never asked her about it. I would not recommend this place to anyone because of the shear rudeness of the staff and lack of good service

One stars is to much! Went in to get my kids ear pierced and the owner came out as soon as we walked in and started yelling at us to keep the kids quite and not running around. It was like my kids were problems before we even got there. We didnt even say anything after that we just walk out!
