I wish i can give 0 stars, this was a few months back but i never realized how horrible my experience with steel city tattoos was, especially with the guy who did my work Mark, not only did he have a horrible attitude. I remember he made me feel extremely rushed, he made me feel extremely uncomfortable with his attitude and him humming under his breath everytime i wanted to have something done a bit differently. He also completely bypassed the picture and reference i showed him. I understand it is good to have originality in your art and change a couple things but he basically completely disregarded what i wanted and did something that looked like crap only bc it was quicker and easier for him, i wish i can give a zero star. He even added lines that have no reason and no ending or relevance to the tattoo??also The reason im writing this so late is because just today i finally got the piece he did so horribly covered up by another artist who did amazing and did everything i asked him unlike my experience at steel city tattoos, the tattoo artist doing my cover up was also said be literally feels bad for me having to deal with that just by looking at my tattoo and how much mark messed it up. I just wanted to share this so people can be careful.

Jayson was extremely rude, unprofessional, and arrogant. Not only did he mess up my tattoo, he was rude and distasteful with an attitude and persona. There was no discussion about lining preference and he was rushing me like I was inconveniencing HIM when I’m the one receiving and paying for a permanent tattoo on my body. I was rushed about my design and he made me feel so uncomfortable to be able to get it how I wanted it and anytime I asked for a correction, I was given attitude! This permanently goes on my literal skin how dare he rush me and give me attitude. Not to mention, he made me fill out the intake form and didn’t even look over it. I am prone to fainting and he had me up the entire time and didn’t even bother asking if I was ready or okay before, during the tattoo. I felt like even speaking up about wanting to lay down was inconvenient for him by the way he was once I got into the room. I ended up so unhappy with my tattoo which I got as a Christmas present to myself, one that I’ve wanted for a while and saved up for/used money I was given from the holiday. I feel disgusted with myself for even allowing him to place anything on me with how he was acting because there is nothing worse than a SIMPLE and it was very simple….tattoo that is rushed and messed up along with a terrible experience. It’s tattoo artist like himself that make me believe I can walk into any tattoo shop and get a job as someone who is not artistic in the slightest…

Jayson was amazing. He was understanding of my nerves for my first tattoo and he was all around a great guy. He did amazing with the design and coloring of the tattoo and it came out perfect. I cannot wait to return and do more business with Steel City and Jayson.

I like my tattoo but it was overpriced for what I got. A simple sketch with no shading that took 30 minutes cost 300 dollars. They have good work but I would go elsewhere for a better deal.

Jay Cooper did my daughters first tattoo! This was her 18’th birthday gift from me so I was super nervous for it to be done right. We saw Jays work and reviews online, and knew he would do a great job with her spine tat quote. Let me tell you, he exceeded our expectations! The tattoo came out perfect!!! Straight down her spine, perfectly spaced, and beautifully written! I can’t wait to go to him for our matching mother daughter tats and all future tats!!Thank you Steel City & Jay Cooper! I got my first tattoo here with Jay 2/13/21 and I will definitely be back for more! The shop is very clean and he is extremely professional. Made my first tattoo experience pleasant, was patient, and made sure placement and sizing were perfect and to my liking. It is also evident that he truly enjoys what he does. I will be recommending this place to all family and friends.

Steel City Tattoo is the best tattoo shop in the Lehigh Valley! I have gotten 29 tattoos done by John the owner and I’m going for tattoo number 30 next week!John’s work is amazing! His attention to detail, use of color, artistic design, and creativity has given me tattoos that are better than I could’ve ever imagined. I’ll give John a picture and an idea for a tattoo, and the resulting tattoo that I get is truly a work of art that keeps me coming back for more! Jay and Marc, who also work there, are great tattoo artists as well. I know people who have gotten tattoos from them and those tattoos are also amazing. They are all great guys and the shop is extremely clean and professional. If you’re thinking about getting your first tattoo or adding another one, I highly recommend Steel City Tattoo Shop. Highly recommend Mark and Steel City Tattoo. This was my first tattoo and I was getting it as a remembrance for my wife Mindy who passed away in December. Mark was very helpful in refining my original idea. I’m very satisfied with the results.

Got my first tattoo here actually. It was kind of a scary experience when you are new, but exciting at the same time. Right away they made me feel comfortable and I knew that they were professionals. The answered any questions I had and even went into how their equipment works. I thought it was really cool they spent the time to make me feel comfortable, especially considering my tattoo at the time wasnt the biggest or most expensive thing. These guys are great and really care about all their customers. I highly recommend.

Meandered in this afternoon to enquirer about having some work done (my first tattoos ever). Marc just happened to have an opening and was a great first experience. Kind, accommodating, and professional. It took me 15 years to get these very simple designs done, but I wouldnt hesitate for a minuet to visit him again for more in the future. 10/10, An upright person who does quality work in an exceptionally welcoming and clean environment.

I had a high-level concept I wasnt sure if someone could execute. Additionally, this was my first tattoo so I wasnt sure what to expect. John did an incredible job from start to finish - from initial design (and communicating with me over email) to modifications and then to delivery, he was professional throughout. The final product was exactly what I wanted and more - he had great ideas that brought the static parts of the piece to life. What I especially enjoyed is the conversation we had throughout the visit, as John can talk about anything under the sun.I definitely plan on visiting again soon for more work! Thanks John!

I highly, highly, highly recommend getting your next tattoo at Steel City Tattoo. My artist, Jay, knocked it out of the park with my 3/4 sleeve! Amazing artist and the collaborative journey we went on together made the sleeve and the experience everything I wanted and more. I will 100% be back for more work in the future! Not only is the tattoo top notch, but the other artists, John and Marc, were beyond friendly and genuinely showed in interest in our project during the many weeks I came in. If I could, Id give them all 10 stars, cool dudes, cool tattoos, cool conversation, cool experience! Youd be doing yourself a disservice if you didnt check out their work!

This place is one of the best places in the Lehigh Valley to get a tattoo. It was my first time getting a tattoo and Mark walked me through the process. He explain what he was going to do before performing the action. The end result of my tattoo looked so cool. Overall I highly recommend this place to go get a tattoo.

This is hands down the best tattoo shop in the Lehigh Valley. I went in there asking for a cover up that I had always thought would be impossible. Name on my neck and word on my shoulder. I told John what I would like to have and what he provided exceeded my greatest expectations! The price was fair, scheduling/rescheduling was easy. Nice, friendly group of guys that make you feel welcome in the establishment. It’s nice to know outstanding customer service still exists! If you are looking for a comfortable setting, friendly atmosphere, and QUALITY artwork, check them out!

This was my first tattoo experience. I had Jayson and he made sure every little detail: sizing, tilt, shading, etc was perfect. He also did a “test” line before going 100% and had a very gentle touch. I know where I’m going for the rest of my tattoo needs.

Mark did a phenomenal job on my tattoo... he was amazing and calm which made getting my tattoo in a very tough spot easy. I loved it so much , I’m going back for my of his work... highly recommend him!

The shop is exceptionally clean, the artists are all very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is great. I highly recommend my artist, Elvis. He did a phenomenal job working on a very sensitive area of my arm, and I am extremely pleased with the outcome.

Two days ago I got two tribal paws on my left hip by Marc. It was such a great experience compared to my first tattoo at another place. Really sold the place to me. 10/10 would go back.

I just called in trying to get a ballpark quote for a simple solid black wristband. I didn’t even get a chance to finish what I was saying before the dude cut me off with the craziest attitude I’ve ever gotten from any business. I Will never even give this place a chance. If I wanted to talk to a narcissistic diva, there are plenty of other places I can think of to call. Didn’t think this was one of them.

Been going to Steel City for 20 years now and 99% of all my tattoos are from here. If that doesnt say I think John and his crew are the best what else does? Top recommendations.
