Great service! Booked online in advance and the nurses were so friendly. They were able to pierce my daughters ears in tandem at the same time as the other nurse did not have anyone at that time.They provided a precious certificate for her as a keepsake along with the information on what to do/not do after a piercing.Highly recommend for a great piercing experience!

Shelby and all of the staff did such a wonderful job at keeping my daughter, who is diagnosed with an anxiety disorder, calm during the entire process. Very clean, bright, and welcoming studio area. I appreciate their professionalism and knowledge and will definitely be bringing my daughters back for any future piercing needs.

I went in yesterday at 8:40pm without an appointment, however, it says outside the store “walk in welcome”. However, the girl told me that the last appointment was at 8:40pm and that she couldn’t do it. So, I made an appointment for the next day, at 6pm. That day, when I went to my appointment, the employee told me that the nurse got behind on her other job and that there was nobody that could do the piercings. He told me that when the nurse finally arrived, they were going to call me. So I stayed at the shopping mall waiting for the call. About one hour later, the employee told me that finally the nurse was supposed to arrive soon, and that they were going to call. So I decided to stay at the shopping mall. I never received any calls or texts. When I decided to leave at 8:50pm, I passed by the shop and saw that somebody was doing a piercing. So I never received any calls and waited so many hours for nothing. I feel that personally they didn’t want to give me a service. If I could give them less than one star I would. Two days in a row. And they are a piercing business and they don’t know if the nurse can come or not? They completely failed.

We went to get mine and my 3 year old daughters ears pierced. Autumn was our nurse and had zero patience with my daughter and quickly gave up on her and even acted noticeably annoyed. My little sister Charlotte (6) and I (9) got our ears pierced there for the first time and it was great! The people there were licensed nurses so it made the whole experience feel high quality. They can do two ears at a time or just one at a time. They have the option to use a needle or device (piercing gun). After the service they give you a little care package and are happy to answer any questions about the earrings. They also offer a cleansing product for the ears. You have been warned!I’m just in Alabama for 1 week for work and my wife wanted to get a piercing done and the reviews pointed to this place as a decent one. The first day I got to the place It was around 8:30pm and despite their “Walk-ins welcome” sign they wouldn’t provide their service because of the time. There were about 4 employees at the cash register doing nothing. I can understand that, but they should change their hours to better reflect their actual commitment to the customers. The second time we visited we had an appointment at 6pm to get the piercing done and when we got there at 5:40pm, they flatly told us to our face that there was no nurse available and they weren’t sure if another nurse was coming in. We decided to shop around, but at about 7:30 they told us a nurse was supposedly coming but they would call us if there was a possibility for the piercing. We kept shopping around and just about when we got to the car at 8:50pm they were piercing somebody else. This is totally disrespectful. I’m beginning to think that they didn’t want to treat us because we are latinos or I guess we didn’t dress up enough for them. I didn’t get an excuse or a rescheduling message from them. I will be taking my business elsewhere and I strongly suggest you do the same.

My daughter and I came her to get our ears pierced. I was very impressed with our whole experience. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable. There was a great selection of earrings and the piercing experience was wonderful- Kait walked us through the steps, pro and cons of needle vs. gun, and put my daughter at ease throughout the whole process.

Will be coming back in the future to stock up on earringsUPDATE: It’s been almost three weeks and I just had to consult an outside piercer to completely replace my Rowan jewelry. I mean this as no disrespect towards the nurses or staff at Rowan, but as a company, they should know better than to pierce with butterfly backs. A simple google search yielded countless sources providing information on why butterfly backs are not suited for fresh piercings, which my own experience validates. One of my backs became embedded in my ear, and the removal process left my earlobe so shredded that it nearly needed stitches. Had I noticed the embedded piercing any later than I did, it would have warranted an urgent care or emergency room visit for removal. There will be permanent scarring on my lobe that could have been avoided completely by utilizing safer piercing practices. Again, I bear no ill will towards the staff (and my rating remaining at three stars is to reflect this), but company-wide, there need to be practices in place which protect customers. All this said, I cannot in good faith recommend getting pierced at Rowan anymore.

When I walked in I was instantly greeted by 2 very kind ladies who were busy at work but took the time to acknowledge me. One was the nurse doing the piercings, the other checking people in; They made me feel so welcome & not freaked out at all (I know some can feel weird about a new piercing). The woman got me checked in & then the nurse assisted me with the piercing options, lots of stud options using a specialty piercing gun (not the scary loud one a lot of places use), & soon to be options for needle piercing for the ear! I got seated & everything went smoothly. I would recommend for any & all ages, I remember getting my ears first pierced when I was 7 & so scared about it. I wish a place like this was around then because I would’ve gone there in a heart beat. 10 out of 10!!!!!

Best piercing experience EVER! I was very scared to have my piercing done with a device, however the wonderful nurses and manager educated me on the Rowan style device that was NOT SPRING LOADED and would pierce my skin just like a needle. They told the truth!! I did not even know when the piercing was completed.. it was a gentle pinch that left my ears stunning with their device jewelry. Do not even get me started on the healing process!!! I got my ears pierced a week ago and I am 75% healed!!!! All in all, Rowan - The Summit is the way to go!! I will definitely be back to get a helix piercing .. who knows, I might even have them use their device again! 😊

When in need some help from getting a piercing done at a tattoo studio, the piercing was not healing well and Shelby fixed my ear right up with the right earring and gave me some great advice on how to take care of my ear piercing to make sure it continues to heal properly.
