I got my first tattoo here today. I can’t say enough how great this place is. I take a blood thinner everyday. They were very helpful and understanding. Every step of the process was explained to me from the very first day. My artist was Rizzo and I couldn’t be more pleased with his work. I am amazed at how good this tattoo looks. I showed him a picture of what I wanted. He researched it before I got there and found that part of the pic was wrong and corrected it in his drawing. The color combination is perfect. The lines and letters are very sharp. I highly recommend him and the whole shop. It was a great experience.

I have known two of the artists at this shop over 20 years all filled with amazing ink and innovative inspiration! My primary artist Chip has been helping me complete goals I created long ago! There is no substitute for experience and talent you’ll find both here! Highest recommendation

I recently got a nose piercing for my birthday and I love it !! So far it has been healing good & I been using the solution that I purchased from the shop no problems as of right now. Definitely want to go back to get my other side piece. Shop was clean and the staff was very friendly and professional. Definitely visiting again.***Update August 3rd*** my nose piercing is healing great I haven’t expecting any infection I clean it twice again honesty ready for my other side now

I got my tat done by Colin and he did PHENOMENAL!! He took my idea and ran with it in the best way possible and made the piece flow and look so much better. Definitely my go to artist now!

I went in to get a cover up. Scott did an amazing job on the tat. Everyone who sees it says wow, it looks fantastic. The entire staff is very friendly and they make you feel comfortable. If youre looking for any tattoo, go to Classic 13, you will NOT be disappointed, guaranteed! Great place because of great people!

I was there on a Saturday for a walk-in an hour before opening. Unfortunately, there were already 10 people ahead of me. When the door opened, they decided who would go to which artist. This process was totally unusual and strange for me as a European. When it was my turn, of course, there were no spots left, but Lana then offered to let me come the next day and we could definitely do 2 of the 3 planned tattoos. I had already contacted her beforehand and she had all the images and my ideas. She also knew that I had a long journey. When I came the next day, she showed me a template for the smallest planned tattoo without much ado and she also told me that she hadnt prepared the other tattoos yet and that she needed more time for them. She offered to draw something now and I waited almost 2 hours! until she showed me something that unfortunately didnt suit me at all. So we only did the small tattoo. The plan was a mix of 3 different styles (we had written about it on Instagram beforehand). In the end, it was almost identical to the last suggestion I showed her. I was a bit disappointed because I was hoping she could create something of her own. The tattoo is OK, but the whole process, the way you are treated in the studio and, above all, the listless, taciturn manner was not my thing. I have been to a few tattoo studios before, but I have never felt so uncomfortable! I dont really look at the price, but I have never (luckily) experienced 200.- for a 45 minute tattoo and the design simply printed out from a template! I would absolutely not recommend it to anyone!

I visited today for a nose piercing and was greeted nicely by phone and in person. The wait wasn’t long at all! Their jewelry selection was great and high quality, the piercer was very gentle and nice. 10/10 experience for me. I’ll definitely be back for another!

Did walk in for piercing for my son👃 and 👂 for me. The lady at the counter was efficient and friendly. Assisted as quickly as possible. When i mentioned i had a question about a tattoo she expeditiously went and found a tattoo artist to speak with me. I do not remember his name but he spoke honestly and professionally with me about my questions. He then declined to do the tattoo due to place and color choice i had asked for which would have been money thrown away. He also said he would if i wanted to but could not recommend it. I admire the business attitude of honesty and dignity for not just having said yes and taken my money for the heck of it. We had a little wait which I completely expect being a walk in. The waiting area I might add was spacious area with appropriate distancing and masks while we waited. Logan did both our piercings and was Awesome 👌! Answered all questions about piercings, was knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. He did such a great job neither piercings hurt but for the second they were done. Thanks So Much!! Well worth the 2 and 1/2 hour 🚗 from another state. Will definitely be back for some ink and probably another piercing or 2. 😉

VERY rude people. We took my little sister to get her very first body piercing, and the lady up front is very hostile and rude towards customers. She yelled at us and said ONLY THE PARENT when we tried to go back with our sister since this is a very emotional and scary experience for her, and we wanted to support her. We will not be back. Do not go here, there are other places where you can have better experiences across Birmingham.

I got my first tattoo here and it was a great experience. The staff is friendly and informative. Scott Srock was my artist and he truly is very talented. I cant wait for my next one

Got my first tattoo today on a walk in with Chip. He was amazing and created a wonderful experience. He was awesome and the people at the front were awesome. If I ever get another one I will be going here and I highly recommend the place.

Marcos was amazing! Super nice throughout the entire process and gave me a wicked awesome greek key tattoo. Very sterile and clean, and the work done was great. Have to see how I heal up, but the experience was awesome and Im super satisfied now. Reccomend the studio highly as well as Marcos !

Was really looking forward to getting work done here based on all the good reviews but canceled on me 4 times, one within 12 hours of my appointment and the other 3 canceled appts in less than 2 days notice, I know it should have been a red flag the first time but tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. Artist said it wasnt their style and tried to push me off on 3 different artists saying it was more their style despite an in-depth consultation in person where the artist was told to do THEIR style. I have tattoos all over my body from several artists and have never experienced such unprofessionalism and blatant disregard for the customer. Dont go here unless you want amateur things that your kids can probably do on a grapefruit. Artists should be able to do a mixture of styles and it was not a difficult tattoo. Go at your own risk because they will cancel at the drop of a hat. Id recommend Revolution Ink. Their artists are extremely professional and was able to do my back piece without any issues or trying to pawn me off on someone else or being wishy washy. Dont believe all the good reviews, they dont take care of people in the military either. If I could give 0 stars I would. Hope this helps your search for a down to earth, talented artist because it aint here folks...good luck!

He was very patient and informative. The first time I went in for a consult, left with a small word on my arm that I had been wanting and an appointment/design for the larger feather on my back. Marcos was incredibly professional, attentive to my questions and concerns, and finished the piece quicker than I thought! While Marcos was drawing my feather, Spike answered all my stupid questions about oral piercings without making me feel stupid haha. Everyone was really easy to talk to and gave great advice. I will definitely be coming back to Classic 13. Each artist has a unique and awesome style, so I will be having other artists design some of the pieces I have in mind for the future.

I walked in I spoke no one spoke back the only good thing that out of this was the guy who did my piecing was very nice . When he came out the back he did acknowledge me and asked has anyone help me I told him no he said my apologies and did everything he could to make me comfortable

They are super professional!! they are also very clean which is a big thing as you can even see them wiping down and sterilizing materials, furniture, etc…they answer any and all questions you may have and the wait for walk ins is 0-5min AT MOST.

I had my tattoo appointment with Brittany. She was very nice and made sure the design was the way I wanted it before starting. The room was clean and all the equipment and design tools were as well. I was comfortable during the tattooing. I had a great experience and will definitely request Brittany again if I get any more tattoos!

My sister and I came in as walk-ins and were introduced to Brandon. We showed him the inspiration for our tattoos, and he got us back as quickly as he could. He was super friendly and did a great job. The whole staff was awesome! We’ll definitely be back for future tattoos when we’re in the area!

They keep your money for no reason!!They require a $100 deposit for an appointment. I left $220 so I would have a bigger credit toward my Tatoo. After speaking with the several time about rescheduling, they said they were keeping my entire deposit and it was going towards the artists time. I had not even sent the artist anything to show him an idea of I wanted. He had spent no time other than about a 5 min conversation up front at studio. I can understand by canceling that they may keep $100. But not the full deposit of $220. They would not use any of my money towards a credit. So if u put down a deposit know it’s non refundable!!! I feel extremely angry about them keeping All of my money and will never go back there!!

( 1 star rating only bc i love one of the artist ) i’m not one to complain about places but if you go to classic 13 downtown DO NOT i repeat DO NOT get tattooed by ‘ brando ‘ He was a freaking jerk from the gitgo telling me : ‘ oh that wouldn’t look right on you , ‘ oh that’s 2 big ‘ ‘ why are you opposed to making an appointment ‘ like bc i’m here ???!!! why are you asking me / telling me your personal opinion when i didn’t ask for it . he was saying it with such a tone & i couldn’t stand it i asked if he could throw in a few little honeycombs & he said no pretty much like what the actual h3ll . LIKE ITS MY BODY & MY MONEY give me what i want !!??? he was very cocky like .. very & idky bc he was 🥴 but that’s beside the point . i let him draw up the tattoo bc im like alright lets just see how big he’s thinking it should be mind you it’s a BUMBLE BEE 🐝 ( GIVING HIM THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT ) it ended up being 2in by 2in IF THAT & he was going to charge me $250 !! like baaaabbbyyyyy idk where your from but i am not about to pay that for a little ą$$ bee when you aren’t even giving me what i actually wanted in the first place . & before someone says oh well we wouldn’t have had the time that’s cap he could’ve but he didn’t want 2. * sidenote - chip is the artist i love ! he did a huge tattoo within like a hour & i paid him $350anyway getting back to ole boy brando - tried to rip me off lol i told him nah im good sorry to waste ur time then he started talking more about it & he said yeah im glad your not getting it bc i dont wanna do it anyway . like yeah good 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️ , i just hope he did good for the girl behind me bc he was mad 🙂‍↕️ ( the one on the left is what i wanted the one on the right is literally a spitting image of his sketch & it was about that size too i just don’t get people . like im sorry if you’re having a bad morning or something but there’s no need to be that way with a customer . my money is just as good as anybody else !!!!!! & again chip does amazing work but he wasn’t available @ the time anyway my rant is over now , no brando !!!! HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL even told the lady up front i didn’t like how he was speaking to me . he put me down fr . i have many many friends who get tattooed there & i’ve let them all know about this experience & they will most definitely not be seeing him that’s for sure . posting a pic of what i wanted below . again i don’t leave bad reviews but he changed that i was not being respected .

Went here to get my second tattoo and touch up my first one I got from another tattoo shop. Overall great experience, I am very satisfied with the work. Everyone was nice and accommodating. My one complaint is the price. The total for the forearm tattoo (symbols) and touching up the circled area on the sun tattoo was $400 not including tip. It was explained to me due to the size and the amount of straight lines is why it cost that amount. However, the entire process for both tattoos took only about an hour, so $400 plus tip seems a bit high for only an hour long session. My first tattoo at a different shop took 1.5-2hrs and cost $150 before tip.

I came into this studio for a walk in. Lady at the desk who greeted me was nice and polite but the artist was incredibly smug and a huge jerk. I’ve heard many rumors about this shop being unfriendly towards women and POC but this basically confirmed it for me as the artist was so incredibly unfriendly, I couldn’t possibly fathom allowing him to mark my body for life, no matter how skilled or talented, let alone giving him and this studio my money. The tattoo artist is supposed to work with the client to create a design that is both feasible, practical, and within the realm of what the client wants. I was so kind and polite to the artist who looked as if he was too good for the design I wanted. I’m really sick of these older more traditional tattoo artists treating clients, especially female clients, like garbage or pretending to be too good for the design. If there is a problem with the design, there is a polite way to interact with the client to get a design that works. It is ridiculous to me that these people are still in business.

My tattoo experience with Classic 13 was awesome top to bottom! Extremely clean and professional environment, super friendly and knowledgeable staff, and an easy, fun walk-in experience!! Jory is amazing. He will always be my piercer in Birmingham. Very professional and knowledgeable.Side note: The other piercer Logan was not very friendly. I stopped by to ask a question and he seemed as if he didn’t have time, even though no one was in the waiting area or in the piercing room. Im not calling him rude, just wan’t helpful or friendly.

Went in on a Tuesday afternoon to get my lip pierced - I was in and out in less than thirty minutes! Not my first piercing, but my first one at Classic 13 - Ive had 4/6 of my tattoos done there and have never had a bad experience. Everyone that works there is amazing!! Me, my friends, and my family almost exclusively go there.

I enjoy getting work done at classic 13. Unlike most tattoo shops they are friendly and down to earth. The shop is clean and welcoming. Brittany, Bryan and Marco have all done my tattoos. I’ll be back.

I had my nose pierced a couple of months ago with Aimee- wonderful experience! She had me in and out in no time and was very calming and professional! Went back after three months to have the piercing changed by Logan and had the same quick and lovely experience. The healing was super easy and smooth; I absolutely recommend them for piercings!

I recommend this place to everyone I know. They staff are so well versed in everything that they do & I’ve never walked away with an bad experience. I love my tattoo & piercing I wish I could give them more stars than this.

I got a helix piercing and I love it. The shop was nice and the atmosphere was really good. My piercer, Spike, was friendly and did a great job. Id definitely come back.

Artist cancelled the appointment an hour before the appointment. After I drove 1.5 hours and took the day off of work, after I called to confirm the appointment the day before. Bummer. Brittany. Said she couldnt do the tattoo (like not capable). Fire and water. I was sooo excited. She could have told me the day before and saved me a vacation day and the 3 hours of driving there and back. If she fessed up yesterday, I wouldnt have written this review.

Awesome, friendly staff. Spike was super nice & such a great conversationalist that he eased my nerves right up. I got the Daith Piercing & it didnt hurt at all! Great experience!

Called in a few hours before the shop closed. walked in with no real plan for what i wanted. Logan and Marco greeted and helped me with ideas. knew exactly what i wanted shortly after and got a really nice flash piece done all within a hour. super clean and professional shop will definitely be coming back and highly recommend especially if it’s your first time.

I went as a walk in today. They were superaccomodating not only for the piece I wanted but open to further appointments to get one of my old tattoos fixed. Will definitely repeat.Minimal pain (small fine line piece) and beautiful work.

First time going in there, for a first experience for my septum piercing, and the atmosphere was very laid back. All of the employees were friendly, welcoming. The shop gave off such an atmospheric vibe, it was very down to earth.And then, I met the piercer Aimee for the first time. She was very friendly and super sweet. Also, with me being a first timer with getting my septum done, I was having mixed feelings on how painful the piercing was, but she talked me through it and gave me wonderful advice. She also guided me the whole way through and the piercing pain didn’t hurt at all. It was roughly a 3/10 when I felt the needle go in but we were finished very rapidly. She also gave me tips on aftercare with the piercing as well.If I could give her a thousand stars, I definitely will. And same with everyone else who works there.I will be coming back, for sure! 😁💜Thank you all so much for all that you do! You just gained another customer for life. 🥰

Terrible place. Called in advance for a piercing. They said come on in any time. We drove 30 mins to get there and they said, sorry the piercer just left. And this was the same IDIOT who told me to come just walk in before 7. This was 6. I wanted to rant and rave and demand gas money. My partner calmed me down. Stay away!!!!!

Rizzo is so incredibly talented and professional. He takes pride in his work and it definitely shows. He worked quickly and did a phenomenal job on a thigh piece for me. Cannot wait to get another tattoo from him. After I was done with my tattoo, I decided to get my nose pierced again and Logan also worked efficiently and was incredibly professional. Everyone was so kind, especially the girl at the desk (I never caught her name). It was pretty busy and she made sure to greet everyone and answer all of their questions. Highly recommend this shop!

Aimee has been my piercer for about 5 months now, and she is the absolute best! She is so gentle and kind. She pierced my medusa piercing back in July and I had an issue with it flaring up, and she helped me right away with many different reasons to why it could be angry! It healed up perfect and she downsized it for me today! She also pierced my nostril today and it went so smooth. She’s just so quick and gentle and it really makes getting pierced a lot less intimidating! She has ALWAYS made me comfortable and I will forever be getting pierced by her! I highly recommend seeing Aimee for any piercing needs 🥰

Very good shop! I got my first tattoo here as a walk-in a few months ago. Lana was my artist and she was great! She was very professional, made sure I was comfortable, and had a fair rate for the quality and time it took! I will definitely be returning to get some larger pieces done sometime!

I got my nostril piercing done today by Jory. I must say he was quite patient and understanding towards me. He made me understand entire process step by step and waited for me to get relaxed before the procedure. I’ll definitely visit this place in future. Highly recommend place.

I walked in like two months ago for two ear piercings. I was met with good customer service and done with my piercings in under 15 minutes. They’re healing lovely. I have a “downsizing” revisit scheduled for a month from now so I’ll be seeing them soon & maybe getting another piercing while I’m there too!! Thanks again y’all!

Got a great tattoo from Marcos. Once the touch up was finished, the face was altered. I sent an email the next day and didn’t hear back for a month. Complimented his work, left a good tip and he told me to “feel free to find someone else” after I was unhappy with how the touch up turned out. Now I have to pay another tattoo parlor to fix his touch up. Staff is nice, especially Casey.

Aimee did an amazing job on my piercing. She was so sweet and personable and talked me through the entire process. I went with a group of eight, and we all got piercings. Aimee did all of us, and we all were raving about Aimee for the rest of the day! I could not recommend anyone better. I would trust Aimee for any piercing! Not only that, but the front desk was also amazing (I forgot her name)! She seemed so invested in our choices and was great at being someone to bounce piercing ideas off of and was a joy throughout the entire process. Between the front desk and Aimee, my friends and I had a fantastic day that we will look back on fondly for years!

First heard about this place when my wife got a cartilage piercing, been going here ever since. The shop is clean, the artists are incredible, and the prices are fair. Theyre the only place in Birmingham I recommend to get tattoos.

I was a walk-in appointment for a septum piercing. The wait was over an hour, but the place was full so that makes sense. The person who did my piercing was kind, sociable, and talked me through every step. She seemed highly competent. I was anxious about cleanliness and complications before getting the piercing but my worries were put to rest because the facilities were very clean, the piercer was careful about being sanitary, and the piercer answered all the questions I had. I would recommend this place to others who are considering getting a piercing.

The entire staff is amazing! I’ve had 4 piercings from Aimée and she’s absolutely the best! Everything was perfect and she made the process a breeze. I’ve had tattoos from Marco’s and Brian and they turned out amazing! Marcos is currently still working on my sleeve and it’s coming out beautifully. I highly recommend everyone at the shop!

I recently went to Aimée to get another piercing, and she was just as amazing as the last time I went to her! I let her have complete reign of where to pierce my ear, and she ended giving me the cutest conch piercing with the cutest jewelry to match. She’s very skilled, and has a knack for putting you at ease if you ever feel nervous; she talks you through every bit of the process, and provides thorough instructions on piercing aftercare. I don’t think I could recommend her enough!

I have been here multiple times for piercings and consultations. Theyre knowledgeable and wont provide a service theyre not comfortable with. All piercings healed well, the jewelry is quality and prices are reasonable. Aimee did my Rook piercing tonight. She is well-informed in her art and I would trust her judgment on any piercing they offer. She had so much info on the initial piercing I had in mind, took the time to actually assess the location (super important) and offered great suggestions. I took her advice and am IN LOVE with my new piercing. Will definitely be back.

This is my second time getting artwork done there . It’s even better the second time . I enjoy tattoo artist whom I have a general idea of how I want it to be . As an artist they adjust how they feel . They’re artist let them create they can create here . Also the shop manger isn’t rude I got work from Marco and Scott they won’t disappoint remember a hood tattoo isn’t cheap and cheap tattoo isn’t good you’re paying for a piece of art on your body treat yourself don’t cheat yourself

Aimee was pretty sweet. Walked me through the whole thing before getting my helix pierced. However the lady up front seems to have a nasty attitude when you walk in, didn’t feel welcomed at all. Being a customer, and giving any business your hard earned money… you would think hey… at least good customer service but nope! I always come here for my piercings, I’ve never had an issue but you guys should really address that because it can drive potential customers to spend their money else where

I visited to get a flat piercing and had a wonderful experience. They have a good selection of quality jewelry unlike some other shops. Also, Aimée was so sweet!! The pain was minimal because of how efficiently she worked. Everything was very sterile. I will definitely be back for more piercings here in the future and would recommend if you are looking for great jewelry and a high quality experience

Brittany was my tattoo artist, and she did an amazing job!! She paid great attention to detail, and did not rush her work. Her tattoo work is exceptional!! I will never go to another tattoo artist!!! Brittany cared about my comfort level, and gave me short breaks throughout the session to insure that I was comfortable. The whole experience was quite wonderful! Brittany, and this tattoo shop are the best!! Highly recommended.

I had a nostril piercing issue that was dismissed by a piercer at a different business. I called and spoke to Aimee and she said that she was willing to take a look at it and give me advice. I’m so glad that I made the trip to see her today!! Not only did she find a major issue with the piercing, she took steps to reverse the current problem and went above and beyond to help me have any hope of saving the piercing. She was gentle, knowledgeable, professional, and just an overall good human.

Aimee was the best!!! I had two earlobe piercings that I let close up and she reopened them for me. One of which was being very stubborn, she talked me through the entire process and made it as painless as possible. The third earlobe piercing was new and Aimee did an excellent job! She was very professional, kind and took the time to go over after care instructions with me. I had such a great experience that from now on I will drive from Montgomery to Birmingham just to see her for any future piercings.

I absolutely love Aimee! I literally went in thinking my piercings may lead to my ultimate demise (I know super dramatic!)!! She was the absolute best, she thoroughly explained the process and we even had a hilarious convo about the craziest piercing reactions she has seen!! In the end I made it through 2 perfectly placed nipple piercings and a month later they are healing flawlessly! She is the best and I will trust her with all my future hole poking adventures!! I walked in to Classic 13 today heartbroken because my job wouldn’t allow my septum piercing (yes even flipped up) and walked in to get it taken out by Aimee. I was pretty upset and told Aimee how much I didn’t want to get rid of it! Aimee told me about septum’s they had that could easily be taken in and out of the nose (easy enough for me to take out!!!) Not only was all the staff there very kind but went above and beyond to make sure I knew how to use the septum and said I could come in the next day if I couldn’t figure out how to do it on my own. I would 100% recommend Classic 13 and Aimee as a piercer!

I love Classic 13 , the staff is always very welcoming and friendly. I’d been eyeing Lana’s artwork for a while and I’m so happy with the end result! I’m so glad she is available for walk-in’s on Saturdays. Lana did an absolutely amazing job on my tattoo it was exactly what I envisioned. I’d recommend her to anyone looking for a beautiful tattoo!! Great location! Friendly front desk staff, my husband I did a walk-in on Sunday and had the pleasure to get ink from Lana. She was sweet. Line work is amazing! Definitely will be back for more tattoos! Front desk lady Definitely helped calm my nerves since I had to go back by myself! She is the best!!

Worst service ever receive. I have 10+ tattoos before getting my last one and I never been in so much pain, oozing ink and fluids 9 days after getting tattooed. I have indentations(dips on skin) 3 holes and possible scarring on multiple locations. Tried to contact the tattoo artist but wouldn’t reply to me and when I tried to contact the shop it seems like they tried to blame it on me not taking care of the tattoo properly. Went back to the shop and no one would help me. Whole heartily I tell you to avoid this place at all cost, and I you really want to get tattooed there stay away from Brandon like the plague.

I was a walk in for two helix piercings. I picked out my jewelry, paid, got pierced and given aftercare instructions all in about 25 minutes total. Experience was speedy and efficient but not rushed, Logan was great and very professional. Love my piercings, they are so pretty and have healed so much better than my other 7 piercings, and it’s only been two weeks! Place is squeaky clean, atmosphere was easy, people were friendly. I will definitely be coming back for all future piercings.

I went to get my nose and upper lobes pierced by Aimee for my birthday and it was such a chill experience! She made me feel comfortable and talked to me the whole time, answered all my questions (before, during, and after😅).You can tell she loves her job and I trust her completely as my piercer. Ill be back after they heal for more!

Went in the middle of a storm, yeah sometimes I question my decision making as well lol, but I went for a daith piercing. The wait wasnt long at all. Everything was clean and the staff was very friendly and welcoming! Would definitely recommend!

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of being pierced by Aimée here, and we could not possibly be any happier with the experience! She was knowledgeable, very skilled, and just so sweet and kind. After the original piercings I had in mind would not work with my ear shape, she suggested a set of piercings that came out so much better than what I initially came in for, Im in love with the design she executed. I love this place…. I’ve had 4 amazing tattoos done, by Brian and his incredible team, this year alone!The whole staff is professional and courteous… and the facility is immaculate. Whether it’s your first tattoo, or not, you definitely should check them out, they even accommodate walk ins. Edit April 2022: I came back and got another double nose piercing done by Logan? I think thats his name. Despite having him re-mark the piercings twice and expressing concerns about them being off, he STILL pierced them wrong. Unfortunately, I have a lot of anxiety and trusted that he knew what he was doing. So now the left piercings are visibly off in comparison to the right piercings. I will not be getting them re-done, but Im not totally satisfied with them. My friend also got another nose piercing and theirs seems to be even with the other one. So YMMV.I got my first conch and re-pierced a septum here. My friend also got a nose ring done. They were done by Red. She is fantastic! Very friendly, very good on giving information. I would definitely go to her again. This was also after getting a second opinion in my first septum piercing and talked to Logan about it. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Overall, a great place to get pierced.Edit: I had to go back because the septum ring was too small and digging into my skin. The same later happened with my conch. Went in to see Red again both times and she was super friendly and quickly replaced the jewelry with a bigger size to make sure the piercing would heal well. No problems since then. She will definitely be doing my other conch!Edit 2: Went back later to get a double nose ring done and again Red was wonderful, very friendly, and I would go to her again. Friend came with again and got a belly ring.

Update - I have had my tattoo for awhile now and it still looks amazing. The healing process was painless and fast. 100% recommend and this will be the place I get my tattoos at from now on.Will update when I get my tattoo. Went in for a consultation and thr place was very clean. Brittany was extremely nice and welcoming and I cant wait to comeback for my appointment.

Staff is great and very friendly/ helpful. I’m giving this place a 2 star review because the owner is horrible to his customers. Instead of being helpful when I had issues with my jewelry, he decided to try to blame it on me for not coming in sooner, and told me that the issue was that I touched my piercing without washing my hands in front of him (the only reason I had even done that was to show him the issue). I came in a month after I was pierced and it took some time to realize that it wasn’t healing properly. The piercer who fixed it for me let me know that the jewelry was in fact faulty. She replaced it quickly and they let me know that there would be no charge, which I think is a good policy. The owner is the only staff member who I had issues with, but for that reason I will not be returning for my next piercing and I do not recommend this business.

I had the best possible experience getting my first tattoo here! They were very open and helpful on the phone and in person. I walked in early Saturday afternoon, met with Brittany who was above and beyond informative and helpful. She came up with the perfect art based on a few photos and our discussion. She was able to get me back in later that afternoon for the work. The piece is just beautiful; exactly what I was hoping for and then some.

I got a piercing with Aimee and she was absolutely incredible! I couldn’t recommend her more. She made me feel so comfortable and talked me through each step of the process. If you’re even thinking about getting a piercing, I would absolutely suggest going to see Aimee first.

Aimee did my first piercings!! She was great and talked me through the whole thing, really soothed my anxiety. We drove in from Atlanta to get piercings and they were really gracious about doing it close to when they were packing up, too. Really kind and considerate folks.

MY PIERCER WAS FANTASTIC. however, the miserable lady working the front desk - she needs to meditate. for a long time. i’ve never met someone who WILLINGLY goes to a customer service job just to be a condescending, inconsiderate, jerk to anyone she speaks to. during my initial visit to the shop i watched her roll her eyes, huff, and sarcastically respond to every customer that came through the door including myself. weeks after my piercing i called the store to ask a question, the lady (who is paid to ya know, answer questions and deal with customers) quite literally was so rude to me i started to record the phone call. i see this isn’t the first review referencing her attitude!!!!

The tattoo artists are great and so is the girl who did my piercing. However, the girl at the front desk has been rude every time i’ve come in. Just does not seem to want to give you the time of day and cuts you off in the middle of you talking. Everyone else is great

In town for work and decided to add to my right ear with a 3rd lobe and flat piercing. @aimee Leigh is amazing! She is kind, took quality time to help me select the perfect jewelry combination and explain the piercing process. I would go to her again in a heartbeat because she understands what I am going for and gets the placement perfect! When back in town will have to get a pierce from Aimee again.

I really enjoyed my visit! My tattoo artist was John. This was my first tattoo but the place is very clean and organized. John was super sweet and talked me through the experience which calmed me down! I highly recommend going and I will definitely be back to get more work done someday. The artists are very nice and are willing to work with you to make small adjustments if you want which goes to show how much these artists care about their clients and tattoos! Wonderful customer service and quality work is what you want and is what you will find here!

I came into the shop and was blown away by how immaculately clean the place was. It was clearly in good condition, and you automatically felt welcomed. Words cannot describe how happy I am with Classic 13 and Aimée. I had an awful experience with a piercer at an old shop and it ruined my expectations around piercings. I’ve been holding off on getting this piercing for a year now and I finally bit the bullet. I was extremely nervous the whole time until Aimée called me back in the room. Immediately she calmed my nerves and we just started talking. She did an amazing job of explaining the whole process and it was quick and painless. I got emotional because she healed my piercing trauma and gave me a hug in the end. I will be coming back to her for all of my piercings.

Marcos is absolutely the best in town!! I did a lot of research over the last 2-3 years and I could not be more stoked about the work he did on me. Very professional and the result was amazing. Got piercings done here. Great customer service. Everyone has great personality and its clean. Very professional but relaxing at the same time. They are a little more pricey then some other places I checked out but for the quality and cleaniness and people who work there its worth it. I will be back for sure for tattoos.

My friends and I all got piercings with Aimée at Classic 13 Tattoo, and I couldnt have asked for a better experience. We were a large group (8 people) and she took us all happily. I got an industrial piercing, which was my first real piercing, and Aimée calmed my nerves by talking me through everything that she was doing throughout the process. I must say I was very nervous about getting my lip pierced. The lady that actually did the piercing for me was SUPER professional and answered all my many questions during my nervous phase. She made me feel comfortable. I was in and out in like 10 minutes. No bleeding and/or swelling. I definitely will be returning and Ive already recommended this company to several friends/family.

This is the first time Classic 13 has done a tattoo on me, and oh my god I am so glad I went to them! Jules was amazing in putting the thoughts in my head to a design. I was debatable about some shading and his recommendation was perfect. I also decided once it was done to add more of one color and he acted like it was no problem to clean it and add the color. Highly highly recommend and will be back soon! My sister also got her first tattoo right before me also from Jules. He took the time to explain the process to her and did a small line at first so she would know what to expect. He thoroughly explained the aftercare and was so personable and knowledgeable throughout the whole process.

I came and this place the lady at the front the manager is so racist i came in there for a jewelry she didn’t tell me just for one cheap piece of jewelry is 30 dollars i never left out of there building with the jewelry the manager didn’t want to give me my 30 dollars back because they don’t get any customer so they try to over charge for things this isn’t worth the money she is bad for business i had to call the police just to get my money back please don’t go to this place for anything because you will not be satisfied they do horrible tattoos and horrible business and very racist if i was y’all i would let her go because she is a horrible person everyone and there is horrible because they was talking about me well i was right there so disrespectful .

I went to Classic 13 because I heard that Spike was the best piercer in town. He was clean, professional and very quick. His knowledge on piercings goes back with at least 20 years of experience and it shows. I healed very quickly and my placement was perfect. I highly recommend Spike to anyone looking for a quality piercer in the area.

Went to Classic 13 with 3 dear friends for a simple, yet meaningful tattoo. Called and was greeted by a friendly, helpful voice who encouraged us to come in! I had such a pleasant experience at this shop. I came in with an idea and John and the staff worked quickly to make it a reality. Even though it was a small tattoo, they made me feel like my business was extremely important to them. The tattoo turned out great and John is a very talented artist. I went there to get my nose pierced because this place got great reviews!The staff were very kind, and the piercer (Hopefully thats a word) did the process fairly quick, with little bloodshed or issues in general. Ive gotten 8 or 9 pieces from Brittany in the past few years, and plan on many more. She feels like a good friend whenever I go to see her, and is always willing to make any changes to designs to make them fit better to once Im thinking. My husband has also been tattooed by Brittany twice, as well as 2 pieces by Marcos, who has done a phenomenal job on his leg tattoos. Cant wait to get more from them soon. It feels like hanging out with the coolest family when youre at Classic 13. Brian and John are always friendly and stop by to say hi when you are getting work done. Amazing place! My nose piercing was only $40 and already came with one of the best metals you could use for a piercing. The piercing process was so smooth, so quick, so easy, it barely hurt. In YouTube videos, I saw it took so incredibly long for nose piercings and it involved multiple steps and exchanges, but here, it was all one fluid motion! Great place. Highly recommend it.

I go here to get tattooed by Rizzo but the whole shop is super dope! All the people who work there are friendly, helpful, and professional. I found this shop after many bad experiences at other shops and it was a breath of fresh air. I feel comfortable. SUPER professional. All the artist and staff were confident and reassuring which helped with my nerves. They have comfortable couches and nice lobby. And all tattoo areas are private with curtains if you want that. I have a lot of anxiety, and went for a last minute nose piercing on a whim. I was shaking while waiting and super nervous about the pain. My piercer was SUPER chill, made me feel extremely comfortable and relaxed! My piercing barely hurt, and I was in and out within less than 10 minutes. Love this place & will def come back!!!

I got my tongue pierced today by Spike. I had called a few days before to check pricing and store hours. When I got there I met Spike at the entrance and he was really cool and said he was one of the only piercers around that didnt use clamps. The atmosphere was really nice and clean. I was waiting on a friend to meet me there and Spike was really patient with me. Once it was all over he made sure I was okay and didnt want me to leave without feeling stable. I will definitely be coming back!

I came here in March for the first time, I had went out to eat with a friend and I was like hey, you wanna walk over to that tattoo shop and get piercings? at like 9 or 10 pm. I dont even have my ear lobes pierced--never cared to get them done--but I decided Id get my nose done. Spike did the piercing and made sure to sterilize everything there in front of me, which I appreciated. He cracked a lot of jokes and was just a super cool dude, and I didnt feel the piercing at all. He gave me an instruction/aftercare sheet along with all of their social media info. The experience was all really professional. Went back on April 13th for their last Friday the 13th special at that location and got a tree silhouette tattooed by I think Brittany. It was busy but I literally only had to wait for like 45 minutes, which was great for me. Really nice and again a good, professional, clean experience. Ive met all the artists in the shop and Id trust any of them to do future work on me.

Brittany was my tattoo artist, and she did an amazing job. Once I had an idea of what I wanted, she helped me design the tattoo, and it came out so beautiful; even better than I could have imagined. I wouldnt go anywhere else after Ive had the experience that I had at this shop. When you walk in almost everybody that works there greets you. They were super friendly and you could tell it was clean. I went in to get my first tattoo on Saturday and Luke was my artist. I was extremely nervous and he put me at ease. He was light handed and I would say the pain level was a 2.5/10. He was easygoing and just all around an awesome artist. I would recommend this establishment a thousand times.

I’ve been twice in the past months. the first time i went and got a tattoo, jules was the artist, he did great very professional & quick. then i went & got my septum pierced 4 days ago & it was quick i probably wasn’t in there more then 10 minutes. the guy who does them obviously has been doing it for a while because it only took him a second to do it & it was perfect, not crooked or anything & basically painless. both times i went they people working have been friendly & answered any questions i had. i definitely recommend this place.

Great place! Went as a walk in for a consultation and ended up getting the tats I wanted in an hour and a half! All of the guys there are friendly and personable and the pricing I was given for my tats was reasonable. the artist that did my tattoos was Jeff, and upon first encounter he seemed a little rough around the edges, but he was really nice and really sarcastic, which I can always appreciate. i felt a little intimidated about being picky, but no one harassed me on it and he seemed very understanding and didnt try to rush me. Will definitely be going for my next tat!!

I came into town for a vacation and Spike was extremely helpful. Upon meeting me and askung what type of piercing I wanted he first examined to make sure the piercing was practical and safe. I got tattooed by Marcos. This tattoo has changed my life, no flipping kidding. He took a picture that I loved and brought it to life on my skin exactly how I imagined it would be. These artists are well rounded and nothing short of superhuman. The shop is clean and inviting. Walking in, I felt secure. Getting work done, I felt safe. The price was reasonable, and walking out I felt a new confidence that I did not have walking in. My experience was unreal, yet professional. Great work guys! Birmingham is better with you here. I am going to tell all of my friends, if you need ANY Body modifications done, there is only one place to go in this state. Classic 13 is here to stay!

After getting my first tattoo here, I intend to come back every other time. They do really good work. Prices may seem a bit expensive, but it is worth it for the quality. Corey does my work. He is always patient, attentive, and friendly. Highly recommended.

I came in for a piercing today & he was pretty nice so I wasn’t worried. I showed him a picture of myself with the exact piercing I had previously and he said that he could do it no problem! I even zoomed in so he could see the placement of the piercing on my nose. After he set everything up and we went to the back, he told me he wasn’t comfortable doing the piercing how I had in the picture, then proceeded to charge me $20 for the “set up fee”. I wouldn’t have had an issue with the fee if he hadn’t lied and told me he could do the piercing how I had showed him in the picture. He knew before he set everything up exactly how I wanted the piercing and I am extremely disappointed in the service I received.

I went in with my girlfriend who was getting a piercing and decided to get my first tattoo. The staff were all incredibly professional and very chill. I showed my artist a bumper sticker on my favorite car, the Festiva. My artist Julius did amazing line work and perfectly replicated the bumper sticker. I can not recommend them enough, and now all I can think of is my next tattoo!The only thing I guess you could consider a negative on our experience involved piercing. They did a fabulous job on my girlfriend’s ear piercing, however they do not pierce tongues, or tongue webbing. Not a big deal, just something to be aware of as a customer. Thank you all so much and I will be back!

Vector Doe did my son’s tattoo. He was very quick but very safe and cleanly. He was helpful in choosing a size as it was my son’s first tat. The whole place was very clean and they were careful to be hygienic which was my main concern. The tattoo turned out very classy.

I first found Classic 13 just by looking for a piercer to replace the ring in my ear. I spoke to Spike on the phone and he was very knowledgeable and professional. When I stepped foot in the shop, it was very clean and the staff was very welcoming. My husband and I have both been tattooed there multiple times now and have always been treated fairly and have been most impressed with the work done.

Great experience for a first tattoo. They were communicative and fit me in as a walk-in easily. Also felt like they were really responsive to questions. Very satisfied.

Got my nose pierced here a few weeks ago. Guess the piercer name is logan was trying to talk to him about cleaning and taken care of it. He just blew me off didn’t wanna have a conversation so then I’ll start cleaning my nose how are used to clean it when I had my nose pierced before and now it’s infected talk to another piercer at a different location and sent him pictures of what my nose looks like and he says the jewelry looks to be to small well I don’t doubt it because I can’t even grab a hold of it to take it out I’m in so much pain this makes me so mad

Took my wife here for her first tattoo this afternoon. Got a warm welcome from the staff. John Mihelic was our artist. 5 star, true professional. His work, personality and professionalism floored me. We both love the tattoo and will highly recommend John and his staff. I’ll get my work done here and my wife said “I will only have John do my tattoos in the future”.

I’ve gotten two tattoos here and absolutely love the experience! Really nice people who want to work with you to get your tattoo exactly like you’d want it. They also make sure you’re getting your moneys worth and make sure the environment is clean and prep you when you’re ready to go!

Got my second tattoo here, and it was WAY more professional than my first tattoo experience at another shop in BHAM! Great staff and very nice environment. Marcos has the hands of an angel! I got a rib tattoo, which are notoriously painful, but he was great at helping me manage the pain. Very happy with final results, as well.

Marco was great! My son (17yo) wanted a tattoo in memory of his grandfather.My son researched, read reviews & even visited a couple of other studios. After meeting Marco & discussing expectations he knew that’s who he wanted.(As a healthcare professional) I also felt good vibes from the studio, it was very clean with a professional atmosphere all the way around. Marco did not mind answering last minute questions I had, he was professional & thorough.I would recommend this studio to anyone considering a tattoo.

This place was EXTREMELY CLEAN! The artist were cheerful, and beyond helpful. Everyone was super friendly. I visited other shops in the area... && NOTHING compared to this shop. Marco did my tattoo, && he was very nice and didnt mind me changing ideas so much. He always fixed my changes with no problems and was very helpful with his professional eye. I got a quote on my ribs and he had a very soft hand, and made sure I was ok. I honestly would let anyone in the shop tatt me just by their portfolios && cool vibes everyone had. Ohhh && spike is the man to go to for piercings! Looking forward to visiting again soon!

I loved my experience at Classic 13! I had my navel pierced by Spike. He was very professional, clean, and used free hand. He walked me through after care and was extremely patient. I will definitely be returning for future tattoos and piercings!

Nicest shop in town! I have two tattoos from the artists and Spike has done most of my piercings. He is always happy to answer questions and cares about his work. They havent cut any corners with the new shop, using the best quality jewelry and care for every customer.

Me and my friend went in to get an industrial piercing we were told we couldn’t get it because the way our ears were shaped and if we did then we have continuous pain which was cool we understood that but as we went on to try to understand why the man at the front desk had slightly an attitude and the woman and man at the desk were slightly not friendly at all. We came to the shop because we heard great things about it but it felt as if our presence was not welcome and for that I will not be back.

They accommodated me from start to finish. Pooh did a amazing job and exceeded my expectations. They even had music associated with the tattoo I was receiving jamming the majority of the time. Couldnt have asked for a better experience. Already looking forward to my next visit.

P absolutely crushed my tattoo. This shop was super accommodating, to the point that I walked in with no appointment and walked out with a tattoo. Very reasonably priced and rad atmosphere. Couldnt recommend P enough either. Super nice guy and great at what he does. Definitely going to be stopping by again in the near future.

Can’t recommend this place enough. I looked at reviews of several different places before deciding to come here for a nose piercing and I’m so glad I did. Spike handled everything for me. He was so professional, knowledgeable, and put me at ease right away. I was bracing for some pain but it honestly hurt way less than I expected. It was so quick and it was obvious that Spike knows what he’s doing. Place is very clean and smells great. Very pleasant experience, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

My friends and I went to Classic 13 for Friday the 13th tattoos. The staff was efficient, friendly, and informative. We received tattoos from Corey, Jules, & Rizzo. And we were all ecstatic with our results. Yes, they were small, quick tattoos. But the professionalism, cleanliness, helpfulness, and skill of the staff will bring us back again on any day of the year when its time for more ink.

Amazing place!!! Brian has done the majority of my tattoos and they are all exactly what I imagined and wanted!! And Spike is AWESOME!!! I went in just recently and he helped me out tremendously!!! Lets just say, A piercer (Drew) at Revolution Ink put the wrong jewelry in the wrong piercing and SPIKE at Classic 13 SAVED ME !!! Needless to say I will not go anywhere else but Classic for all my tattoo and piercing needs!!!!! Definitely recommend!!

I went in for a cartilage piercing yesterday. I called before to see if they could do it this week & he told me he could get me in same day. The shop was easy to get to & super clean! Ive never seen a shop that well taken care of! Will be going back.

My girlfriend and I were driving through Birmingham on vacation and decided we would like to both get small tattoos. After a quick google search we found that Classic 13 Tattoo had the best reputation and highest ratings. Brittany hooked us up with great tattoos for a pretty decent price. And she was quick. We are both extremely happy with what we got and would go back again.

These guys were very professional and took very good care of both myself and their equipment in addition to ensuring I was properly informed on how to care for my new snake bite piercing. 10/10

John did an amazing piece for me this weekend, i really appreciate him working through the busy holidays and icy weather and still going above and beyond in giving me an awesome tattoo. I don’t know why anyone would talk negative about ‘Classic it’s the best shop I’ve ever been to with some of the most talented artist around. I had Brittany do a script tattoo for me today - SUCH a great job. Very clean work and super fast! Besides that, the parlor itself is very clean, comfortable, and calm and tattoos are very reasonably priced. I strongly recommend!

Stopped in to get a piercing and they saw me within minutes (on a Thursday night no less). Mel did an industrial for me and it’s AMAZING. I’m absolutely obsessed with the results. Will be coming by again in a few months when I’m ready for a new piercing.

My sister and I walked in for piercings, they were fast and friendly. Spike did the actual piercing and he was easy to talk to and helped calm our nerves. We will be back for sure in the future.

I am so impressed by Spike, who pierced my and a friends nostrils. He was quick, informative, and friendly. I truly appreciated his input on placement, explanations on methods, and several laughs. Ive had plenty of piercings, and hands down this was the best experience I could ask for.

Spike is phenomenal. Went to get a VCH piercing yesterday. It was quick and easy. Spike was very helpful with answering my questions regarding aftercare. He gave more information than other piercers have in the past. He also offered to help me change my piercing and teach me how to properly change it once it has healed. If you are looking for a VCH or any other body piercing in the Bham area, please go to see Spike at classic 13. However, some of the tattoo artist a bit rude. You may not have a place to sit if they are busy. Overall, the appearance of the shop is nice and the piercer is dope.

Honestly worst experience I’ve ever recieved at a tattoo parlor. I have a service animal for my type 1 diabetes, and I was told I had to leave because my service dog was not allowed in the facility because I didn’t have her “papers”. I tried to explain to them that i didn’t need her papers with me because, under ADA law, I wasn’t required to proved proof of her. I also told them that they couldn’t ask me to leave, because even if she breaks health department rules, the ADA overrules them and she can’t harm the facility under the health department. The man that spoke to me continued to be rude and still refused to let me stay so I had to have my friend walk out with her so I could get my tattoo priced. It was a complete disregard of national law and it was insulting to me. After that, they outrageously priced my tattoo, pricing it 70 dollars more than anywhere I’ve had it priced. My friend came back later and had the same tattoo priced for 50 dollars less than they priced mine. It’s ridiculous how rude they were and how just disregarding of me and the national rules. I will never go back there again. My blood sugar could easily bottom out to a level where I pass out right there on the tattoo table, and my dog could alert me to that before I realized it. It’s inhumane and just rude. Don’t go there.

Great artists and atmosphere - for best results book in advance, walk-ins dont go as well but they do accept them if theyre free.Lots of great options for different styles of tattoos and jewlery. The new location is massive and has a relaxed waiting area, be sure to tip your artist!!

Ive had 4 sits with Brittany and I couldnt be happier. Shes redoing my left geometric sleeve. While it was good before the little details she has added and the minor changes she has made have made it look way better. Im more excited to go in for a sit now than I have been in years. I cant wait to see what she comes up with once we get caught up and start doing new stuff.

Spike and Bryan were AWESOME! Spike did my daith piercing and put me right at ease. I did not get a tattoo, but if I were to get one, it would be there. Clean and tasteful environment.

It was an alright experience with my tattoo besides the fact the artist changed the design without my knowledge mid-tattoo. He added more lines than asked plus the spider looks bad as he also changed without me knowing
