War Horse Tattoo

This shop has given me the best tattoo experiences I’ve ever had - awesome atmosphere, super kind folks, and insanely talented artists. Dana has been my go-to artist for about a year now and as long as I’m near Belgrade I’ll keep going to him. He’s one of the fastest tattoo artists I’ve gone to, but still manages to create extremely detailed pieces. Idk how he does it… he literally did that moth in an hour and it’s insanely clean. 100% recommend this spot.

Flew all the way from Cali, and then made the 3 hour drive to get a tattoo from one of the best… Dana. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️’s ALL DAY!!! Everyone was super friendly and kind in the shop! I would do it all over again for the experience. My tattoo was very sentimental and I only had an idea in my head of what I wanted, Dana was able to capture it the way i imagined. Shop has a nice layout and super clean. Highly recommend. Definitely will be returning.

Awesome shop with very talented and kind artists with a fun/inviting atmosphere.Maddi is absolutely amazing!!!! She has done basically all of my tattoos and every new one I get is my new favorite tattoo. She is very patient, does a great job, and makes you feel comfortable… so she’s pretty much perfect. Go get a tat from her!

Blown away by the artists here- every single one is not only incredibly talented, but also SO personable. We had by far the best experience as a group of walk-ins who all wanted something a little different. Rattlesnake rick took care of us and I can promise you I will be making the 5 hour commute back to get another piece from him and the warhorse team. Thank you all so much for making it such a memorable experience.

I have received tattoos in Minneapolis, Detroit, and other shops in Montana. My experience with Ricc, and others in the shop has been great. First and foremost, the work is great. The shop is brand new, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Pricing, design, and the patience shown, will keep me going back for more work. If you’re reading this, I encourage you to go pay them a visit. I’ve been going to War Horse Tattoo for some time now and every time I go all the artists are always down to Earth and friendly. Whether it be some good music playing, a movie on or just having genuine conversation with the artists the vibes are always right. My artist is Ricky, we are currently working on my left arm for a patchwork sleeve and his attention to detail is unmatched. His meticulousness shows his care and passion for his work. I’ve even sent a few of my buddies to Ricky and all of them have come back satisfied with their new ink. War Horse Tattoo is the best shop in the Bozeman/ Belgrade area, you WILL see me again. Dana is amazing! He took such care and time to draw up exactly what I wanted, which was very specific. He was patient, kind and very professional. I highly recommend him and his shop, and will be getting tattooed by him in the future!

I’ve gotten tattoos from both Jacqui and Dana- they’re some of the most talented artists in the area! Both of them have super clean line work and are very consistent in the art they create. They respect the client’s time, are efficient and run a super tight, clean shop. I’ve been to several shops in the valley and they’re one of my favorites! Everyone in the shop is super kind and extremely fun to be around. And most importantly- I feel safe there! Looking forward to getting lots more body art from them!

Jarrod is awesome. I appreciate his calm demeanor and he is very thoughtful and meticulous in his work. The shop is clean and welcoming and everyone is very friendly. I feel very comfortable getting tattooed here and would highly recommend!

THE BEST. IN MONTANA. Change my mind. That is exactly how I feel about this gem of a spot. Dana did an incredible job. He went above and beyond and is so reasonably priced for his breathtaking talent. The vibes, the aesthetic atmosphere, the friendly smiles, the tunes, etc. it was just overall the best experience I’ve had getting inked (this was my 12th tattoo btw).p.s. one of the other artists was there doing a stingray on another client and the detail was just stunning. 10/10 talent.After I got my lovely tat, I drove straight to work to show my coworkers—THE BEST TAT I now currently have on this canvas of a body—and boyyy let me tell you. Definitely a 5 star place and a 5 star tattoo! What a great little shop! The Place is clean and the staff are awesome! After a few other tattoo shops that unfortunately for them..lacked customer service skills.. Warhorse had my idea drawn and on! I absolutely love my tattoo!Thank you Dana

Jacqui did the sweetest tattoo of my dog Wynona! She went beyond my wildest expectations! I’m in love with it. I go in next week to get my other dog tattooed. The shop is a perfect space for tattooing and everyone is super friendly. 10/10 recommend.

My dad and I went in today to see if we could get in with Dana and from the second we got in there it was such an amazing experience! Everybody was so kind and made the space very comfortable! Dana did A PERFECT tattoo on me and will definitely have all my business for the future! I am so happy with everything about my time there and so grateful! This shop is a great atmosphere full of amazing people. They have great artists who are funny, kind, and welcoming. Whenever I go in there I am greeted with kindness and walk out happy with quality tattoo work. All of their artists are incredibly talented and never fail to make me feel heard and safe. Best shop in montana.

These guys did an amazing job for my first tattoo (parent’s handwriting) and my friend’s fourth tattoo (dragon). we got in and going pretty quickly, and they were super patient with me being a nervous wreck. awesome atmosphere and incredible work, we’ll be seeing them again soon!!

A Week prior to a wedding in Bozeman, MT, I reached out to War Horse Tattoo to set up a time & date for a new tattoo ... had received confirmation of time/date & when I arrived, I found that my tattoo artist was off that day & had written the date down wrong ... Unprofessional & a waste of my time!!

I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience! Dana did such an amazing job, and he made me feel so comfortable! I’m obsessed with my tattoo, and I can’t recommend him enough!

Jacqui is literally the only person I trust with my tattoos. Her precision, speed, and artistry is unmatched. She makes you feel comfortable and welcome whether it’s your first tattoo or your hundredth. 10/10 wouldn’t recommend going anywhere else but war horse 💣

Riccy did an absolutely fantastic job drawing up both my pieces and then tattooing them on me! If you have a chance definitely go and get tattooed by ANY of the artists at War Horse. Riccy is my go-to, but I know all the artists there do a fantastic job. GO TO WARHORSE!!!

This is the only tattoo studio Ill go to in the Bozeman area. All of the artists do phenomenal work. Ive gotten six tattoos from Rick and plan for more. You wont be disappointed by going here!

I went to War Horse Tattoo for the first time during a Friday the 13th Flash Event and oh my, it did not disappoint! Its full of welcoming and talented artists in a fun environment, Id highly recommend planning a visit here.
