This is an amazing tattoo studio! A huge thank you to Dopey for the amazing artistry and the care and consideration of my wellbeing throughout my visit. From the incredibly friendly staff to the eclectic decor, this place felt very welcoming! I walked in without an appointment and was tattooed same day. I would absolutely recommend this studio to anyone interested in getting a tattoo done and will definitely be going back in the future.

Dopie is the best artist i’ve ever dealt with he is very patient, funny, understanding, and will go over everything with you before getting a tat step by step. At black sparrow the environment is very upbeat and everyone is always happy and really has a passion for what they do. I suggest for anyone that is in south jersey/pa area to go to black sparrow for an awesome tat. I have gotten 3 tattoos now from dopie and the guys have killed every single one and have all healed so good. Would recommend this shop to anyone!!

The staff were all super friendly and created a great atmosphere! got my tattoo done by dopie and he did a perfect job. not only did he nail the tattoo, he was also really caring and considerate and made sure i was comfortable the entire time. i would definitely come back here again and recommend it to anyone looking to get a tattoo.

I got a tattoo from Reed at Black Sparrow Studio, and I couldn’t be more stoked about it. I came to Reed sporadically with an idea for a trout tattoo and let him draw it up. Within a couple days, Reed had the stencil drawn up and ready to go. I knew that his work was great, but the attention to detail in the stencil absolutely blew me away. Honestly, would’ve been okay with just having the stencil tattooed on my leg, but the colors that were chosen really brought it to the next level. The finished product is unreal!!! Go to Black sparrow for all of your tattoo needs! Not to mention the vibes in that place were super dope and everyone in there was very friendly.

By far the most welcoming shop I have ever stepped foot into. ALL of the artists are personable and real. Can’t say enough good things about Dopie and Nick. 10/10 would recommend.

I visited this shop recommended by my friend who knew an artist there and the session could not have gone any better! He was really nice and kept a clean/santized workspace. Well priced for the quality and I would definitely come back!

Great tattoo shop with wonderful vibes!! i’ve gotten about 11 tattoos from black sparrow so far and will go back for more! Nick, the shop owner is a great guy and is always excited to see you get a new piece! My latest tattoo is from Dopie, he was so friendly and kind. He told amazing dad jokes 😂 and was just super awesome to talk to overall! Made getting my tattoo such a great experience 😄

Had an appt with Dopey (Justin). He had a lot of questions for me and was meticulous about the size and placement of the design that I brought to him. Nice guy, good conversation to keep me distracted and a fun sense of humor. This pic doesnt really do the piece justice, but its not easy grabbing a pic from that angle! Ive found my tattoo parlor.

Awesome, clean and visually appealing shop. The staff from the Front to the Artists themselves were kind, thoughtful and professional. I came to Reed with one idea and he absolutely flipped it on its head in the most beautiful and abstract way. I couldn’t be happier with my tattoos. Also there’s a lot a of really interesting details around the shop that really help with distraction! 10/10.

I came in for a walk in tattoo. Everyone there was so nice and friendly. The tattoo I got is beautiful. It is a quote, and the script is perfect. I will definitely come back for more.

Highly recommend Reed @ Black Sparrow. We took our mother there for a tattoo that recognizes her fight with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. We told him our ideas and he made them come to life. The attention to detail and his own spin really made it pop! They make you feel comfortable in the shop and really take their time to get to know the person they are working on. We will be visiting Reed again, you should too!

Dopie was absolutely great the few times I have been. Would 100% recommend this shop for anyone who wants to feel comfortable while they get tattooed and understand the entire process step by step. The tattoos I got healed wonderfully.

I did extensive research looking for a tatt studio that I would love....I found this place not too far from where I am at. Did a walk in gig on a week nite back in February. I had checked out ALL the artist profiles that were listed on their web site. I talked to a young lady stating what I was looking for & she directed me to an artist named REED, who was clearly not listed as an artist on their site nor was there a profile for him. I stated my reservation on this n he briefly showed me some of his work. WE communicated on a tatt, I made an appt with a deposit to return a week later for the cover up tatt that he was going to draw up. On the day of appt I tried to get ahold of REED to see what he had drawn up for my new tatt, no reply. showed up for the appt & the drawn tatt was NOT what I was looking for. So he took more pics of what I was going to cover up, asked me to give him 30mins to quickly change up what he had already drawn up. I gave him the time he asked for & was still not in compliance of the drawing. I left with the intention of rescheduling my appt for a month out to give him more time to draw it up. A mth later no replies to any of my contacts I had sent to him thru his insta acct...so I contacted the studio, he then replied....stating he needed more some more time n that he will be in touch a week or so later....a week or so later again, no replies to any of my shout outs on his insta gram acct.....had to contact the studio AGAIN......the communication was HORRIBLE... I indeed canx my tatt secession with him n asked for a refund...I believe he stole my money....I did not spend any more than possibly 30 mins with this guy.....DONT GET SUCKED IN.... His worked looked good, by pictures....however I am unsure of anything else....was so eager to take my money but not to produce a tatt...... :-(

Kelcie has been the best tattoo artist I have ever gone to. Her work is impeccable, detailed, and magical. She makes you feel welcomed and is super patient and willing to work with you in order to ensure she gives you quality product! I would highly recommend going to see her if you are ever in the market for a new tattoo!

I got my tatoo done by Nick the owner and my experience was above what I expected. He was so creative in coming up with the design but still allowing me to create my vision as well. The atmosphere and employees are great and they were so welcoming and made you feel at ease immediately. It was fast and they now have a new customer. Went to the shop and spoke to Edgar who will be doing my first tattoo. I love that he made me feel comfortable with my decision and chatted with me for awhile about some ideas I have for future tattoos. Super awesome guy and cant wait to see how it turns out.
