Golden Rule Tattoo

Me and my friends came here to get tattoos over our spring break, we looked around at the area and decided that here would be best! We didn’t call ahead just walked right into the shop to get started! Richard tattooed each of us and gave us exactly what we wanted! He was very willing to listen to us on size and placement. I had a wonderful time talking to him, he was incredibly polite and patient! He was able to tattoo three completely different styles of tattoos in under 2 hours. Me and my friends had the PERFECT experience and one we will remember fondly forever. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Best tattoo shop! I have 3 tattoos from Kirby and they are the best tattoos I have ever received. The whole process from the consultation to the end of healing is a breeze. Super clean, relaxing environment that does not feel overwhelming or rushed at all. 10/10 recommend!!

Definitely recommend coming here for your next tattoo! The staff are very polite and respectful. We walked in without booking ahead of time and they took care of us right away! We are very happy with how the tattoos turned out. Couldnt ask for a better experience!

Super awesome experience!! I walked in on a Thursday and was greeted the owner and another staff member. They were very welcoming and I explained what I had in mind (a little lotus finger tattoo). I was told to come back in 45 minutes - which is totally and absolutely expected as a walk-in customer. I love to put my hands (in this case quite literally) in the minds of the artist. Upon my return Richard was set to go and 100% exceeded my expectations. Definitely and positively recommend this studio!! Thanks again, Richard!!

Walk-in after distasteful interaction at Bristol Tatoo.Richard @ Golden Rule took the time, care, and attention to listen to exactly what we wanted, and more importantly WHY we wanted it! The ink experience was quick, clean, and professional.But even better, Richard made us feel like old friends, even tho first time at this shop. Reasonable prices, good execution. (Even with two scoops of ice cream)

Chill spot to get tattooed, the atmosphere is super cozy. Sanitation is on point. Very clean and tidy. Tons of cool flash and art pieces cover the walls youll notice something new each time you look. My first time visiting the shop Kirby made me feel like id been coming there for years. Hes a true professional and his tattoos are top quality. 5 stars I recommend anyone go get tattooed at Golden Rule!

Can I give more than 5 stars? Richard is absolutely the best all around. He makes you feel welcome and comfortable. He is extremely personable and his shop is clean, clean, clean. We came in from VA and I gravitated to his presence and art online. He did not disappoint. He squeezed me in and did exactly what I had envisioned. I am considering making him my go-to artist even though I live 3 hours away. I highly recommend paying him a visit and allowing him to make your tattoo dreams come to life.

Richard is the best. Hands down. Hes done all of my tattoos except one and NEVER disappoints. My husband and I LOVE his work and LOVE how he puts his own twist to every piece. Very talented. He always does the best. The atmosphere is great too. Very relaxing!

Kirby is the best hands down!! He’s a great artist and super friendly. The shop is super clean and cozy. I’ve personally had 3 done there and have been several times with my friends and all have been great experiences. Definitely recommend to all my friends when they’re looking for an artist!!

I tried to get something priced and both the guys were gone for multiple hours for lunch and then were rude and said they had a minimum price without listening to me for 5 seconds. Honestly there are 3 better places less than 10 miles away that arent ran by hipster dou*ebags that will do an equally good if not better job and be much nicer while doing it. Didnt even get inked but wouldnt recommend based off the rudeness.Update: I just went back and looked at the tattoos posted on the reviews and theyre AWFUL. Shoddy line work, weak definition and saturation.....I am so lucky I didnt get a piece done here (and I just wanted something simple). Look at the line work and how wavy it is on the second piece down if you dont believe me; its awful and these people are giving them 5 stars.... unbelievable. Seriously street clear; terrible work.Update again: oh cool, an honest complaint met by more rudeness and an inability to even address my core issues, oh and their minimum is $80 no matter what they do to you (which again doesnt look good from what Ive seen). Shakey, crooked lines and mediocre tattoos. I stand by my review and opinion.

I cannot say enough about Golden Rule Tattoo. The atmosphere is a nice, chill vibe. The shop is clean. Richard Kirby is an amazing artist. He can create whatever you envision! Ive gotten two tattoos from him so far and I refuse to go anywhere else.

Golden Rule Tattoo is the place to go for your tattoo needs. I had a general idea of what I was looking for, but left the small deets up to Richard, and he came through in a big way! Amazingly skilled artist whose #1 priority is client satisfaction! Also, just as importantly, the shop is organized, neat, and spotlessly clean.

Amazing atmosphere, Kirby is the most talented tattoo artist out there. If you’re thinking about getting a tattoo there, this is your sign!! He didn’t overprice a thing, if anything, it was inexpensive and the tattoo was A+ quality! I promise, going there to get a tattoo is the best decision you could make for yourself.

Just got my 6th tattoo (first one from Golden Rule, though), and I can’t say enough good things about the shop. Kirby is personable and professional and the space is immaculately clean. I’ll definitely be going back. Highly recommended.

Richard did an amazing job designing and tattooing my dog on me, very clean and fast!! I love this tattoo so much and he used beautiful colors to match her energy. I can’t thank him enough for this beautiful piece ♡
