Steve just did my husbands tattoo and it is so AWESOME! My husband got his whole arm done like a sleeve and the originality and old school ways is absolutely brilliant! He is down to earth, easy to talk to, and everything was clean and comfortable. I am now going to get one as I have the utmost confidence that the scorpion I get will be like no other and done with the perfection only Steve can do by seeing the outcome of my husbands tattoo! Go to him if you want a great tattoo that is only original to you and prices that arent ripping you off!! This tattooist is a true artist not only with ink but sketching/drawing with a pen and paper!

This guy really is a fabulous artist ( improved quickly on my daughters already nice concept drawing). He is amazingly affordable compared to the hipster experience boutiques found all over town. He is a wise soul with a truckers mouth. And he is a meticulous caregiver before and after the work is done. His dog and he are both from Central Casting for a tattoo parlor --- and adorable, too. I do not want to see my daughter get much inkier, but this would be the place and the guy to come back to!!!

When my wife first told me she wanted a tattoo, I started researching places for her. I had already went to a place in Waterbury for my first one and it was a bad experience in every form of the word. After happening upon Phantom Ink, I was sold that this was the place for the wife to get hers. She met with Steve and both my parents came along for the ride. We left with appointmets for her, my Dad, my Mom and myself. We spent an entire day with Steve all getting ink. My wife now has 3 (all Steve), I have 3 (two new ones and he fixed my Waterbury butcher job), Mom had two (both Steve) and my Dad went overboard and has full sleeves. All of them are fantastic and all custom. Like others have said, we went in with designs, Steve brings them to the next level and then delivers something that your proud to have for the rest of your life. Will be returning shortly... The wife and I seem to be having a contest now with how much original Phantom Ink Art we can collect! I promise that the professionalism, talent, pricing and complete care for the clients needs are second to none!

I went to Phantom Ink just shy of a year ago for my first tattoo. Ill be brutally honest and admit that I was a little worried by my first impression judgement on the outside of the building. I was scared that something would go wrong, but Steve was an incredible sweetheart! My sisters both went with me, one to watch, and one to make sure I didnt pass out.Steve told me what he was doing as he was doing it, and even took the time to stop and make sure I was alright when I began to feel ill during the tattoo. As it turns out, it was my body coming to therms with the fact that getting the tattoo wasnt nearly as bad as Id hyped myself up over.To make the experience just ten times better, he not only offered a completely fair and honest price for the tattoo (I paid $60 for it. Not bad!), but he drew another tattoo outline for my sister and put it on her wrist for her so she could leave with a tattoo just like me!When I get my next tattoo, Im making sure to go back for another amazing experience at Phantom Ink!

I found out my wife has been cheating on me with my best friend of 6 years. Immediately upon catching them together I called up to see if I could get a tattoo, Steve opened up just so he could remove She Whom Shall not be Nameds name from my dog tag. He did a great job of covering it up. And was also a great listener. Would definitly go back.

Yes he has a potty mouth but if u have no sence of humor dont go there. Does a very good job fast on tattoos and is very clean he did 2 of my tats n my cousin and friends as well. I would deff go there again. Prices r perfect

Steve fixed a bad tattoo and turned it into what I originally wanted. You cant even tell there was a bad tat underneath. Excellent work. Excellent music. Def going back.

Ive been going to Steve for about 8 years now hes done all but one piece. And I still get compliments to this day and every little bit of work I have. I highly recommend going here.

My boyfriend decided to spontaneously get a tattoo here while camping & we were thrilled with the outcome! We came in with only an idea and steve sketched it out perfectly!

Currently on 10 days worth of antibiotics because my tattoo was so severly infected, had to also get a tetanus shot. They did not use new needles atleast from what I saw, no paperwork no nothing. Place should get shut down. SKETCHY SKETCHY SKETCHY
