Everything about this studio is amazing! Adam pierced my nostril and was so exceptional, I dare you to find a better piercer anywhere! He helped me to pick the perfect jewelry, took the time to explain what placement would work best, and gave me every opportunity to offer feedback and ask questions. The piercing itself was so quick and seamless, I barely felt a thing! Tallulah was also lovely and gave clear, detailed instructions on aftercare. My friend who came with me was so impressed, she immediately made an appointment to get a custom piece designed. Im obsessed with my new look and cant wait to go back and add to my Body Vision LA collection! Thanks again, Adam!!

We had a great experience at Ahimsa - Adam and Talulah were incredibly knowledgeable and helped us discern what the best piercing would be based on location, healing time, and lifestyle. The shop was very clean and Adam was super professional throughout the whole process. I got a third lobe piercing and it was done with such skill that I don’t have any swelling or soreness one day after! Would highly recommend Ahimsa to anyone looking to get a piercing and wants the best chance of successful healing.

I waited nearly a year after my appointment to write this review for a complete assessment. I went to Ahimsa for my first-ever piercing and the folks were simply amazing! They put me at ease and the process was super smooth. They also gave me a ton of info on post-care and when I developed an issue a few months later (piercing got snagged in my clothing) they helped fix it with a lot of care. Its expensive than other places but Id recommend for the hands-on treatment, especially if this is your first piercing. Im fully healed now and so happy with my new jewelry!

Ahimsa is a wonderful place to get pierced! Alex was extremely fun, professional and easy going. I was pretty nervous before arriving to the shop, as soon as I walked in and met him I felt like there was nothing to worry about. The shop is beautiful adorned with plants and cute decor. It’s clean and comfy. The Jewelry is extremely cute and they will be patient and helpful when it comes to deciding which piece you should go with. there is a back room with a leather chair for you to sit on while you get pierced. Alex let me know everything he was doing and when it was going to happen. I really couldn’t recommend him enough! I’ll be going back for sure.

I love Ahimsa!!! Alex, Adam and Candace are so kind. They never make me feel intimidated (which I have definitely felt at other piercers). I think that that’s what makes Ahimsa so unique!! I’ve gone to Ahimsa to get my conch and my rook pierced. With these piercings, I’ve had some issues but that’s just because I accidentally sleep on them etc. They’re always willing to help me (in person or over email) when that’s the case. Definitely go here if you want to get pierced in a comfortable, warm environment. :)

Fabulous experience from start to finish. Adam is super welcoming, thoughtful, and kind! The person working the front (whose name I have sadly forgotten!) was also really sweet. I went in for my third lobe piercings and he spent a long time looking at my ears to find the optimal placements. The actual piercings were a breeze and I couldn’t be happier. Will definitely be back for some more if I’m in the area.

The workers here are super nice. Small studio and very inclusive environment. Their selection of jewelry is small but all their prices are high quality and they had a lot of basics so anyone could find something here for a new piercing. I didn’t find as many styles as I was hoping for but I’d definitely still recommend them.

Ahimsa has always been great to me. You can tell that everybody there is very experienced and professional, and I highly recommend them if youre looking to get a safe, hygienic piercing. The jewelry is high quality and they are confident in what they are offering. All of the staff has always been so kind and helpful, not pushy when it comes to purchasing jewelry pieces. Even when my gold septum ring got bent out of shape, they were kind enough to help me reshape it and even put it back into place for me.

I trust everyone at this shop. I have been getting piercings and jewelry from Adam and Alex for nearly 10 years ( before they opened this shop!) I always feel like they really care and do not judge.Recently I got a piercing from Ari, who’s apprenticing, who did an excellent job. It was easy to trust someone learning with such great mentors!

Wonderful experience! I had my lobes pierced (3 on each side) as a kid 30+ years ago and wanted another hole on each side - no mall piercing guns this time! My spouse wanted their first, 2 on each lobe. Alex was very professional and advised it would not be recommended to put another hole where I wanted because it would end up going through a type of cartilage that was known to be tricky to heal, so I ended up getting a stacked lobe piercing on one side and a helix piercing on the other instead. Not at all what I ever envisioned getting but I felt so comfortable after Alex explained how to care for it and the healing time, that my old worries about helix piercings being nasty with infections were gone in a flash. My spouse was reassured and encouraged through the whole process and did great with getting 4 holes at once. I am admiring my new piercings and thinking I want to go back and get some more as soon as I save up again! I love their follow-up services and that we can stop by to have things switched out for glass placeholders if we have any medical procedures that would require metal being removed. Ahimsa staff are 100% professional and super friendly.

Brought my wife in to get her ears re pierced. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Didn’t try to upsell. Plan on bringing my daughter when/if she wants to get her ears done. Check them out.

I had a piercing job at Ahimsa a couple of weeks ago. Adam did my piercing, he was very professional, even though it was a private piercing, Adams professionalism put me at ease. I did not feel uncomfortable at all, this was something very important to me. He is very knowledgeable, and caring. The studio is rather small but very clean and funky! They created a very cozy environment. They have a selection of jewelry, but theres more variety online. I highly recommend Ahimsa!!

I flew to New York to visit some family and decided to get my fourth nostril piercing at Ahimsa. I’ve been pierced many times, so I can say with confidence this was one of the best experiences. The staff was so nice and friendly, they had high quality jewelry, and they were super knowledgeable. The shop was clean and comfortable as well. I got pierced by Alli and they made the whole process easy. I even asked if they could look at a five week old septum piercing I got done back home, because I had a suspicion it was done wrong. Alli took the time to look at it and ask me some questions and was able to determine it was placed in the wrong spot, and talked me through my options. Since the whole experience was positive I’m thinking about flying back to New York in a couple months just to go back and have them pierce my septum correctly. I would highly recommend this business for your next piercing, I have nothing but good things to say about my experience there.

I went to get my septum pierced today and had the absolute most amazing experience. Not only is the studio beautiful, but the staff is phenomenal! They make you feel super comforted and confident. Alex ( super chill guy!) and Candice ( I believe that was the lovely woman at the front desk) explained everything to me in grand detail. Once the piercing was done I was so happy. Ari is amazing, so professional and caring. They listened to the look I wanted and helped me pick the perfect sized nose ring. Plus Ahimsas price for a solid gold BVLA ring is much more reasonable than other studios in NY. Hoping to come back for a gemstone stud next year because the selection is just too pretty!

My only piercing before today were my earlobes, which I had done around 3-4 years of age. So its been a good 30 years! My friend and I decided to get our noses pierced together, as Ive thought about doing for at least 20 years but never worked up the courage. Ahimsa came highly recommended on so many best piercing studios in New York lists, corroborated by so, so many glowing client reviews.Well. Im here to add my glowing client review to the list! The appointment booking process was smooth and easy, with a detailed waiver & aftercare instructions form texted ahead of time. The studio is small, super intimate, and clean. The selection of jewelry is stunning, and both the front desk staff and the piercer Alex were so warm, friendly, and relaxed. Alex asked what we liked/ wanted, took one look at me, and picked the most gorgeous yellow gold beaded flower that suited me PERFECTLY. He made sure we felt comfortable, talked us through everything, used iodine and sterile gloves, and really took his time making sure we were happy with the marker placement before moving forward with the needle. He is clearly very skilled, and did the piercing quickly and confidently with a steady hand.It was really such a smooth process from start to finish. Its all in a days work for Alex, but he allowed me and my friend to have beautiful ways of self expression on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon. Its clear he loves what he does - and is damn good at it! I would totally recommend Ahimsa to anyone!

Adam was very accommodating on a rainy Sunday to my friend and I despite us not having an appointment (thank you again, we wandered in while exploring). He is a very knowledgeable and professional piercer. The jewelry selection is exceptional.

I went to Ahimsa for my first piercing (a flat) 2 years ago, and I could not be happier! The store itself is beautiful and I appreciate that they carry such high-quality jewelry. But I want to highlight the care their employees consistently provide! For my first piercing Adam and Candice talked me through my available real estate based on my anatomy, and I love where Candice placed it; she made a wonderful recommendation based on my desire to keep it in a slightly hidden spot, and it makes me happy to look at two years later. Alex provided some extremely helpful and reassuring aftercare onsite, and Adam provided continuing advice for the healing process and was extremely generous working with me when my ear kept swallowing my jewelry. Today Ari guided me through my second piercing with greatly-appreciated recommendations based on my anatomy, and I could not be happier with the conch placement and jewelry they suggested! Alex marked a spot which I love for how it mirrors the angles of my ear, and Alex and Ari made the piercing as comfortable and as pain-free as possible. Tullulah was a great second eye while picking the jewelery and made sure I had the aftercare instructons and wipes Id wanted. I am grateful for the care Ahimsa has consistently provided, from their deep knowledge of ear anatomy and aesthetics, to making the piercing process quick and easy (especially for a nervous customer!), to extremely responsive aftercare assistance. Both Adam and Alex were great! Prior to making the appointment for my nose piercing, I was deciding between Ahimsa and another Brooklyn studio. I called and spoke with Adam several times. He was extremely patient with my questions and was very informative, which mad my decision a no brainer. Once I made my appointment the process was seamless. The jewelry selection was vast and the actual piercing was quick and comfortable. Alex talked me through the experience so I was totally prepared. I’ve had so many amazing experiences with this business through the past several years that i only wish i could write multiple 5 star reviews with them!!! every single time they’ve been stellar with their customer service and accommodation, even through the pandemic, and most recently with me being located in texas and needing a replacement stud for my nose piercing.i’m a dummy and have lost my stud multiple times and they’ve been able to look up records of my purchases and immediately have been able to replace the jewelry, and based on my recent debacle they were able to ship the stud out to me with no problems. (they were even able to recommend a shop in the austin tx area which was insanely impressive to me)in my experience with piercing shops i’ve never had such stellar customer service. their prices are on the higher end, but let me tell you, it’s worth every penny. thank you so much to all the staff! you guys are rockstars and genuinely deserve a million five star reviews

I had an amazing experience here getting my first piercing. Candice and Alex were welcoming when they greeted me and although it was my first time meeting them, it felt like they’ve always been around! The facility was very clean and the energy in the environment was very light and warm. The place is overall astonishing! Both Candice and Alex were very detailed when explaining how the procedure works as well as the steps I need to take regarding aftercare. I’d definitely recommend anyone who wants to get pierced to get it done at this piercing studio. Alex pierced me, he was very gentle and engaging.I will be come back here for any future piercings!

I can’t recommend this studio enough- I’ve been here multiple times for piercings and check in appointments and every time has been a great experience! All of the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and kind, and my piercings were all smooth and practically painless. I was fortunate enough to visit New York from out of town, and even more so Ahimsa. The studio is in a wonderful location, and the inside is beautiful. The space is cozy, aesthetically pleasing, and very clean. I was greeted immediately by Adam the owner, and the manager, Alex. They were warm, inviting, and extremely informative about their product and services. They each spent individual time with me as I went through their jewelry selection (which is phenomenal) and answered any and all questions I had. By the end of my visit I felt as if I had just made two new friends and I will cherish the experience! I would recommend anyone in the area to make the time to go get adorned by some of New York’s finest!

Alex did a phenomenal with my piercings. Kind, friendly, and very professional, I was comfortable with him from the moment we set foot in the studio. No clamps used and everything was as quick and painless as possible. Feel comfortable coming to him with any question or concern I may have, but have yet to have any as he did such a thorough job explaining aftercare. I needed a new jewelry for my nose and I went to AHIMSA. I have to say that their costumer service is outstanding. Adam was very helpful and friendly yet very professional. I didnt had an appointment because I didnt knew I had to make one, but Adam went above and beyond to help purchase a new jewelry for my nose and installed it for me. The lady in the front is also nice, but Adam will make feel very comfortable. The place is super clean and they definitely follow social distancing and all Covid regulations. If you are looking for a clean, safe, professional place with high quality jewelry for your nose or body piercing I will definitely recommend this place. Its worth the trip.

My friend and I were super nervous about getting our noses pierced. As soon as we got inside, Adam and Alex were so welcoming. They were so informative, patient and caring that we knew we were in good hands. They have a lot of beautiful and great quality jewelries. Alex our piercer with (the hands of god) used aseptic method and was so gentle. I’ve heard so many stories of how painful a nose piercing can be but honestly with Alex it was not what we expected. The anticipation is worst than the actual piercing. Even after the piercing, the pain was very tolerable and didn’t last for long. The overall experience was perfect! Thank you so much to Adam and Alex for all the aftercare information and we can’t wait to see you guys for our follow up visit.

Alex and Ari guided me through my first piercings with such care and good humor, 1-on-1 attention, and a totally confidence-inspiring approach. I made an appointment for a nostril piercing online and came early but Alex was happy to take me right away. Great first sign! Picking out the jewelry was easy as they have the most beautiful options and Alex let me hold up some pieces to my nose (with forceps no touching) and made sure I loved it. I went to another shop in Park Slope and they wouldn’t let me hold any jewelry even with tools. The actual piercing experience was calm, simple and I felt so comfortable. The shop is so clean. I had no pain with my nostril piercing which I was surprised but thrilled about. Would go see Alex anytime for anything!

I love this piercing shop! Most professional and kindest people you will ever meet. I am super sensitive when it comes to piercings and all other piercings I have gotten over the years have had issues EXCEPT for the ones I’ve had done at Ahimsa. The quality of the jewelry and service is definitely the top. It is pricey but you are getting extremely high quality service, care and jewelry. I can’t recomend them enough.

When it came time for my piercing, Adam listened to what I wanted, and worked with me to suggest a few locations on my ear. The piercing was relatively painless and it looks great. Been to various high-end piercers in NYC and this shop definitely had the best selection of BVLA jewelry and the piercing room looked like a super clean doctors office, which I have never seen before and really appreciated. Adam pierced me and was super comforting and patient. Definitely will come back here in the future!Update: went back to get a conch piercing and had an amazing experience again. I was super nervous and Adam and Alex calmed me down. This time, Alex pierced me and it was super quick and painless. I took my 17 year-old son here to get his ear pierced. He was pretty nervous and was initially unsure if he’d get both ears pierced, but his piercer Candice was so kind and gentle with him, and talked him through the process so well with his first ear that he ended up getting both pierced. I was so impressed with the place and with the top-notch expert service that Adam and Candice gave my son, that a week later I decided to get my nose pierced. The selection of jewelry is excellent (not cheap, but you get what you pay for), the place is spotless, and the customer service is really above and beyond—my nose around my piercing got red and uncomfortable a couple of weeks after my piercing, so I emailed them, and they assessed the condition of my piercing via photos I sent them, and gave me helpful, spot-on advice regarding how to help it to heal quickly (which worked like a charm!). Came here with a friend to get nostril and septum piercings, we were both nervous and Adam and Candice were really nice to explain how it works, which jewellery option was best for healing, aftercare and all. One of the concerns we had were around having to get BVLA jewellery which was out of our budget but called ahead and they were nice to explain there are cheaper basic titanium options ~35 to 45. Also they cared that my friend seemed more nervous and were extra supportive so thanks! I did the septum and felt barely anything and Candice was very professional and narrated each step to ensure we werent nervous. would recommend first time facial piercings here. Thanks!

This was my first visit to Ahimsa Piercing Studio. I got my rook pierced on 12/26/19 by Alexander. The staff were nice and professional; possessing a lot of knowledge about piercings. They provided me with the information I needed to know about the piercing I was getting along with aftercare. The piercing studio was extremely clean! Alexander did an amazing job at making me feel comfortable, keeping me informed throughout the whole piercing process, and did my rook so easily! I recommend this piercing studio and Alexander. I will be returning to the studio for all my future piercings!

6 weeks since my piercing and I had absolutely no infections or issues. My piercer Alex did such a good job, and they were extremely knowledgeable about the different types of piercings and jewelry, as well as how to properly maintain a healing piercing. If you are looking for a place that have knowledgable people that are KIND and CARING with their customers, floor and counter tops clean enough to eat off of, and custom made jewelry that is safe for new piercings... you need to check out this place! Alex was wonderful. I hadn’t gotten a piercing since age seven and he calmly talked me through everything he was doing. They sent me home with very clear instructions to facilitate the healing process. The selection of jewelry was gorgeous. All around great experience and I’ll be back!

Two months ago, we went to Ahisma because my hubby wanted to gift me two pieces of custom jewellery for Christmas. The whole experience was an utmost pleasant one. Everyone here works with much passion and compassion. Adam was very patient and amazing in showing me all different options around materials, gemstones, and finishes to help me find the perfect setting for me. Alex was incredibly professional in finding the right size for me. The whole shop radiates comfort and trust. Yesterday, I could finally pick up the jewellery and it is gorgeous. I am very happy. I’ll be definitely back for my next piercing projects.

I honestly never write reviews but this shop definitely deserves it...i called last minute on a saturday afternoon to see if they could squeeze me in for an appointment for a nose piercing and thankfully they could since someone had cancelled prior!when i went in, adam and alex were so sweet!! they were super welcoming with helping me and took the time to answer any questions my mom and i had.as for getting the piercing itself, alex was a gem and really took the time to make sure my right nostril piercing was going to be aligned to my left. he was great at conversation, making me feel comfortable and really eased my nerves even though i have experience getting piercingsi highly HIGHLY HIGHLY enjoyed my experience here and will definitely be coming back :)

This a unique, cozy, and clean shop that I highly recommend on all accounts. I met Candice (who pierced my septum) and Alex, both of whom were a great mix of down-to-earth and expert at what they do. Candice was incredibly communicative and friendly during the piercing, and much care was given to sterility and proper piercing alignment. Alex worked the front and answered my questions about types of metals and aftercare without judgement. They asked what type of septum piercing I eventually pictured myself with, which is a small, tight gold hoop. After hearing about my preferences, they suggested giving me a titanium retainer ($35) for the 6 week healing process because it can be flipped up. They explained that healing should happen with a thicker gauged piece of jewelry, which is not the look Im going for, and Im grateful that they suggested this option of hiding it until I was able to get what I really want. Im to go back after 6 weeks, when they said theyd fit me with the right sized hoop and make sure things look the way Id imagined. They deterred me from purchasing any jewelry at that moment, which was nice and showed that they werent interested in guaranteeing an additional buy at that time. Im looking forward to going back – Their jewelry is high quality (solid gold vs filled) at a price that matches (in a good way), and although their selection isnt huge it is nicely varied in types of metals and styles.

AMAZING! I came in to get my nose pierced and had the BEST experience! Adam is the greatest. Very knowledgeable and let me know everything that was happening step by step. I felt really comfortable there. AND the studio was absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait to get my next piercing I will definitely be visiting Ahimsa again!

**Update** June 7, 2023. Ive been to Ahimsa a few times to get guidance on a bump I kept having and which eventually disappeared completely and then I added a few extra months to ensure it had properly healed. Happy to say that last week I finally went to get my hoop and Ive been so happy since!------------------------------------------Great first experience of this place.I heard this place was good from someone in my neighborhood and when I went to check their site online I was a little confused with the piercing + jewelry purchase deal.I decided to walk-in the next time I was in the area, and was met with a very informative person at the front desk. She told me it was appointment only and the way it worked with bvla jewelry, which made a bit more sense. Booked my appointment online with no issues and was asked for my cc to charge me in case of a no-show (which was the cost of my piercing 45$).I was then asked to sign a Release Form ahead of coming in (to save some time of having to do it during my appointment), which is pretty standard at tattoo and piercings shops. I expected the usual in the form about after care, understanding the piercing is a risk and things can go awry, understand what I am doing, etc. However, what threw me off was one item in the Release Form, which had a clause about paying for Ahimsa’s Attorney fees if I decided to bring action against them. While I’ve never brought action against anyone, it made me second guess my choice, and put the thought in my mind of whether people had tried to bring action against them so often that they had to add this in their form? Anyway, perhaps other shops do this too, but it was the first time signing something like this for me. Either way, after spiraling and imagining all the things that could go wrong with a nostril piercing (face deformity? lol I was spiraling spiraling) that would cause someone to take action against the shop, I tried to calm my own nerves and give the benefit of the doubt and signed the form. Perhaps more of an explanation behind the reason for this clause or different wording would make me/others like me feel more at ease (and take away hesitation/spirals lol)Anyway! On the day of my piercing, I made sure to eat within the 4 hours and walked in at my scheduled time. The lady at the front was friendly and helped me choose my piece of jewelry and then I was explained the aftercare in detail and my questions were all answered. Once ready, the other lady who was to perform the piercing took me to the back and made me feel at ease by explaining everything she was doing and why (which for a person as myself puts me immediately at ease) and also being extremely friendly and detailed. I noticed she sanitized everything and the shop had a focus on cleanliness. She drafted her suggested location for my piercing and explained why my suggestion might have trouble healing / not look so great if I planned to get a hoop eventually and I felt I could trust her expertise so I went along with her reco (and it looked great!).The piercing itself is done with a needle and hurts as one would expect of having their nostril pierced with a needle lol. But once done and the jewelry put in place, there was no bleeding just a little redness and soreness.Once the process was done, I went to the front to settle up the cost of my jewelry, as I had purchased the sterile saline sanitation wipes ahead of time and was out the door and on my way. So far it’s day 2 and the soreness has gone away and I’ve been following the aftercare instructions and it’s going great. I can’t wait to return to them in 10-12 weeks to see how it’s healing. Had I known it would be this professional and straight forward, I would have done this years ago!So tldr: some hesitation at first yet great first experience! Would definitely recommend and will certainly return!

About 6 weeks ago I went in for a helix piercing & I was sooo nervous! Alex completely put me at ease & made me feel super comfortable. I actually went back the next day & got a nostril piercing that I had wanted for awhile but was to afraid to get. Thursday I went for a conch piercing, & we planned out piercings for my other ear. I cannot say enough good things about this place & the people. If your nervous like I was just go! The jewelry is just as beautiful as the people! FYI my all 3 of my piercings are healing perfectly with no problems at all & are super cute!

I had the most incredible experience at Ahimsa! I went in to get a 2nd hole pierced in my ear lobe. My first hole was pierced as a baby so I had no idea what to expect and super-nervous. Alex really put me at ease. He was so kind, funny and super-professional. He didn’t make me feel ridiculous for being nervous and answered every one of my questions. The studio is incredibly clean and comfortable and the process was virtually painless. The jewelry and service is a bit pricey, but worth it for the caliber of service.

I loved getting pierced at Ahimsa. The service was unbelievably professional, but still had a wonderful human touch. I felt very well cared for, the piercing itself was as painless as one could hope, the place was completely clean and obviously sterile, and they had a great jewelry selection. I was sent home versed on aftercare and with a smile on my face. Its now 4 days later and my piercing looks like Ive had it for years. I couldnt be happier!

I had a truly delightful experience at Ahimsa. After getting turned down by several other studios in Brooklyn, I called at 6:45pm on a Saturday for me and my two friends and they took us as their last appointment at 7:30. They didn’t rush us at all - they helped us pick our jewelry and explained the piercing and after care process in detail. My friends and I all live in different cities (not NYC) and they even recommended local studios for us to go to in 6 weeks to get our piercings checked. For the piercing itself, Alex did an AWESOME job and was so fun to talk to. We loved him so much we took a picture with him before we left! I highly recommend Ahimsa and would definitely go back if I’m in Brooklyn and want to get a piercing on a whim again :)

Friendly & professional team. They are really good in what they do. Hygiene is extremely important for them. It was super clean and neat before covid anyways. I am certain its one of the most cautious businesses about hygiene guidelines in our community. Highly recommend Ahimsa. This place was wonderfully cleaned with beautiful decor. You walk in and automatically feel welcomed. Adam was professional and at the same time very comforting, he has such a great sense of humor. I had a great experience at AHIMSA yesterday. I got a Daith piercing done by Alex who was just awesome. He walked me through all his steps of the process. I was anticipating pain and I didnt experience any, whew! A little pressure and in seconds it was done. The dearest lady at the front desk was awesome as well. I was very nervous before getting my piercing done, but had been thinking about it for a long time. I booked an appointment, and after signing some papers, had a consultation with Adam. I felt comfortable and excited to give it a shot, but when it came time to the actual piercing, I got nervous! Adam did an INCREDIBLE job coaching me through my nervousness, giving me space to breathe, and assuring me. The piercing went by quickly and smoothly, and soon we were talking aftercare! This is the best place to get a new piercing! Although expensive, it’s completely and 100% worth it. The quality of the jewelry is amazing and it makes the healing process much easier and better. I got my ear lobes pierced for the third time yesterday, first two failed, so I was feeling really defeated, but also figured what was the worst that could happen if I tried again. Because if my bad past experiences (and because I can’t stand needles), I was nervous to go in again… BUT Alex was super professional, everything looked incredibly clean, the jewelry was beautiful and fairly priced, and most importantly for me, Alex was so sweet and personable. I don’t usually leave reviews but when I was looking to find the right place for piercings, I really appreciated all the positive reviews that directed me to Ahimsa.Ahimsa is a fantastic place where piercings are treated seriously and professionally. Both Alex and Adam thoroughly explained to me the process of getting a piercing, answered all my questions about sterilization, aftercare etc but most importantly, they made me feel comfortable/safe through their outgoing demeanor and extremely clean shop.So far my ear lobe piercing has been healing very well and I’ll be seeing them in a couple of weeks for their checkup! For any future piercings, I will make sure to come back to them!

Researched a piercing place with good reviews to bring my partner to get some piercings for her birthday and found Ahimsa. We originally had an appointment on a Sunday but had to cancel. Instead we went in on a Tuesday night. I had called before going and Adam told me that he should have time after his appointment. We were immediately greeted when we got in the store. Adam was very friendly and transparent during the entire time from the wait until the checkout. During the piercing, my partner unfortunately passed out. But Adam was amazing. Very kind and caring. He even made sure that I was okay after. As someone who has multiple piercings, I can say the experience at Ahimsa is unlike any other piercing place. It is far above the rest. I really really like this place. I’ve gone to a number of speciality shops in the city and I have to say that Alex has not only been willing to talk about my needs in-depth but he gave me honest feedback on if one ear was ready to do more.Some other high-end spots have rude people working there, or they’re really nice but leave out important healing details that come at a cost. Some have even gotten the names for certain piercings wrong (a conch and a tragus are not interchangeable). Not here, it’s a lovely place, extremely clean, welcoming and they make sure that you are well taken care of. Will definitely be returning. Thank you guys for everything!

The first time I got my septum peirced was at a tattoo shop, and it was done too low. When I came here today to get it repierced higher, I was terrified, thinking that it would be as painful. But my peircer Adam was super patient with my panic and reassured me that it would feel much easier when done right. It was done super quick and efficiently. It hurt way less than the previous peircing even though it was a bigger gauge size, since it was done in the correct spot. Candice and Adam are clearly very experienced. The studio overall is a calming environment, and worth the price. I also appreciate the extensive aftercare instructions. Besides for my checkup, Ill definitely be coming back here for another peircing!

The guy at the front desk (Owner I think) made a rude comment when my partner and I were talking amongst ourselves about our budget and told us “speak up, we can hear you anyways” and told his associate “go ahead show them the other stuff” which made us uncomfortable. He was condescending and we won’t be going back again. The guy who pierced us was nice though. He made my partner’s first piercing a good experience. Space was clean. Just make sure you don’t whisper around the owner and know what you want before you step in. Or else lol

Ahimsa embodied two key elements of personable service: Adam was very clear in his explanations of what my piercing would entail, and the staff was exceedingly helpful. The piercing area in the back is so clean- very much like a doctor’s office. However, unlike a medical office, Ahimsa offers an array of beautiful, high- quality studs and rings in their front space. Adam and Candice were wonderful to work with. They helped me replace a piece of jewelry, opened up a shrunken piercing, and gave me a new piercing! Clearly very knowledgeable, and especially friendly.

The location is amazing, the staff was nice and the piercing went okay. I would give it a five star review but the constant infection that both my sister and I dealt with was horrific. We followed the exact direction that was given with the cold saline and sterilized gauze for the healing period. It was after two months of the piercing my right ear got infected even though we followed the cleaning procedures. Then two more months after that my sister’s left ear got infected too. But hers was even worse than mine because the earring was pushed pack and blood and skin was covering the hole. These problems could be that the needles that were used werent sterile enough or the metal of the earring werent good enough because these infections are caused by bacteria inside the skin. With the constant medication for the infection, I probably won’t ever get a piercing again. The staff was nice though.

I came in to get a second piercing on my ear lobe and had an amazing time! I ended up getting to the shop a half hour before my scheduled appointment but Alex was quick to take me anyway and was super kind and efficient! Totally suggest this shop and their amazing staff!

I normally dont leave reviews but I honestly felt the need to after coming here yesterday. I havent been able to find tattoo/piercing shops in Brooklyn that carry gold rings so when I came across this spot I was thrilled, i have been really wanting a gold nostril ring, the owner completely knocked down my excitement with his horrible humor, referring to this and saying have you ever heard of google in such a demeaning way. While trying to find a ring, my friend asked to see two options, when she asked what they were he responded by saying the two options. Lastly she came with me in the back while he was switching the ring, she asked if she could wash her hands and with the nastiest attitude he said, no one normally asks to wash their hands back here, but you look nice ill let you use my sink, it was a sink with a knob she didnt know it was a sensor sink, she turned the knob and he got so irritated telling not to touch that. Listen the store is beautiful, the rings look great but the service was horrible, the attitude and the demeaning response made it a horrible experience. I only stuck it out because I wanted the ring. He also takes pictures of customers with new jewelry, granted my nose mightve been slightly infected, he didnt take one of me or even treat me like a paying customer. I spoke to him professionally and respectfully asking for his expert opinion so I at least expected the same common decency back. Im really disappointed because I loved the shop

I stumbled upon this place with a friend after being directed there from a different place. It was one of the most comprehensive, safety conscious, pleasant, encouraging, and comfortable experience I’ve had in a vulnerable position and the best impulse decision I’ve made of late. The staff was genuinely helpful and put me and my friend at ease and it was almost too fast considering the unexpectedly relaxing environment.

LBGT FRIENDLY. CUTEST CUSTOM JEWLERY EVER. GENTLE. PROFESSIONAL.Normally I would not take the time to write a review. But this was one of the best experiences of my life.I am a transgender female and dont often enjoy too many experiences in public. It can be nerve wrecking. My peircer Adam went so far out of his way to make me feel comfortable, it was amazing. It really meant a lot to me. Even most doctors and specialist are not this kind. My Identification is in the process of being changed over, and handing it over is a part of release process for gettig pierced. Its a highly uncomfortable situation for me. Adam was quick to deflect and started up a casual conversation to ease the process. The entire time we where there he used all pronouns so respectfully. I can not tell how much a little respect and understanding means to me and my partner. It shouldnt be hard to find, but trust me... It is rare. He was so very sweet and kind to the both of us.I went in for 2 peircings. I took the first one, super easy. I have had 3 other nose peircings in the past. This is the only one that did not make me tear up. It was so smooth. The second one was my septum. It kind of freaked me out, Not Adams fault. I passed out mid-peircing. A friggin nightmare. Uggh. I dont know mentally it got to me, I guess. Adam got the piercing done while I was out. Kindly worked me back into existance and took such good care of me. Cold Wet Compresses and kind words. I felt sooo bad. He was dismissive of the situation. He told me dont be sorry and let me sit for a second to recooperate. I told him, Adam you are Sooo Sweet. He responded, “its not hard to be kind to people”. This expeirence could have been difficult, but I was in the hands of a professional. I will forever sing the praises of this shop and the Amazing Adam. Me and my partner will be back to get some more of these cute custom jewelries after the healing process. I wish I could give them a 10/5!!! Dont waste your time anywhere else. It would be a mistake.Love,Jae 💖

On Friday September 17 I brought my girlfriend to Ahimsa Piercing Studio to have her nipples pierced. I believe the name of gentleman  that assisted us was Glen. He was super helpful and talked us through the entire process.

Went in as a walk-in for my navel piercing and had an amazing experience. I have never had any piercing of other than standard ear piercings so I was very nervous but Alex was so patient and informative.

This place was awful and overpriced I felt completely uncomfortable with Adam who pierced me so crooked that I had to go and get it fixed and then proceeded to get angry and try to gas light me into thinking that what he pierced wasn’t painful(because he pierced incorrectly in the wrong area) and the jewelry is not extensive and extremely overpriced save your time and your money
