Love the End is Near! Great service and piercing options. Location has street parking for convenience, the shop is super cute and holds tons of beautiful pieces for all your piercings. Appointments and reschedules are super easy and convenient. All equipment is sterilized after each use. I’ve gone back twice thus far. And last but certainly not least- my technician is absolutely amazing. They are super cute and friendly - great mannerism for putting you at ease. Anthony is super professional and I absolutely love interacting with them.

Hailey was super helpful! I was hoping to get a forward helix done but she mentioned I didn’t have the anatomy for it. I really appreciated her honesty and explaining everything to me.I was able to slip in and she kindly changed out my helix jewelry after helping me pick a cute stud. Overall good experience but I haven’t given up on the forward helix yet…. 😏

Made an appointment to get my 7 yo ears pierced here. It was a clean, friendly, easy experience. Prices were on par or with other piercing services but who wants to cheap out on piercing your body? They made my daughter feel very comfortable and explained the whole process to her. Highly recommend.

Hali gave me three options of conch placement; I picked the most visible choice for my first but she gave an option on the top which I will be back to let her do in the future for sure!

I’ve been coming here for years! Since at least 2016 when I had my belly button ring replaced. I had my septum piercing done in 2017, and several ear piercings in the following years, concluding with my nostril piercing in October 2023 which was done by a very nice young woman, I think her name is Ellie? I did all my follow-ups with another nice young woman, whose name I can’t remember, but within 6 months of getting my nose pierced I upgraded to a small silver hoop which ultimately got infected - which btw, I get that happens sometimes! The nice lady I saw, I think she had like red slick-backed hair? She’s always made me feel at ease and switched me back to a stud from the hoop - explaining that the base of the stud is long, with a lot of space to allow for healing. She advised that I should return once the infection healed to have the base switched out for something less long, so that the nose ring wouldn’t poke out and snag. I moved out of the neighborhood but decided to keep coming back because I have trusted this place for awhile.I’m traveling in the next week, and was told by the aforementioned professional that too much movement in the piercing can irritate it, so I wanted to come back and have it shortened. I made an appointment for today (Sunday the 23rd of June) and came in. There was a male professional there who just seemed like he was irritated by my presence in the shop. He barely greeted me and barely listened to my concerns (I wanted to have my hoop put back in as my piercing seems to have healed BUT I wanted a professional opinion, etc.) but he just ignored my questions, had me tilt my head back for measurements, etc.My biggest concern is that I do not know how well he sanitized the new piece that was placed. He didn’t explain anything (as the other professionals I have seen here have done) and was generally pretty gruff. It looked like he took the new piece, put it on a paper towel, and squirted it with the antibacterial solution they use to sanitize jewelry. I’m concerned because in the past it always seemed like that was a longer process.Also, when I was seen, he had me standing in the lobby with my head tilted back, and when I came to the exam room, he had me sitting up with my head tilted back instead of laying down, which made it seem like he was in a rush and wanting to get the procedure over with as quickly as possible.He got to work on my nose, frustratingly trying to get the new piece to seal and not explaining anything, it was just not a nice experience - my husband was in the lobby and heard the clicking of his instruments and was nervous for me because he didn’t know what was going on. I’ve had jewelry placed before, so I’m familiar - but if I hadn’t been, it would have been very unsettling.I’m a little concerned about this experience and I’m unlikely to return, I feel a little bit like this establishment is running on their reputation alone.Updating review to respond to Anna below:Hi Anna, I tipped well because I worked in the service industry for over 7 years, and I tip on the services I receive REGARDLESS because I know artists in your profession rely heavily on tips just as I did. It’s the right thing to do. For you to imply that my experience couldn’t have possibly been that bad, despite the fact that I took the time to leave a review, all because I left a generous tip, is ridiculous. Similar to others in my industry, the way that I tip is more of a reflection of me than it is of the service I received. I’m glad that you and Anthony came to somewhat of an understanding - I expressed my feelings about the service I received, and you both agreed that it could not POSSIBLY have been that bad and that it sounds like a “me” problem. Went to Rowan for my daughters piercing and regretted it (the nurse who was assigned to do the piercing was sneezing and coughing so hard that we had to ask manager for another person - he never should have been working) - TEIN was so much nicer, cleaner and our piercer (thanks Hali!) seemed far more knowledgeable and went out of her way to make sure my daughter was comfortable with the process. A great locally owned shop!

Ive been going to The End Is Near forclose to a year now for all my piercing needs. Ive needed medical treatment for the last year which has made it super difficult for me to have all of the piercings I do, and continuing to need help taking them in and out. Anthony has helped me every step of the way with everything from removal/insertion whenever it has been needed (and doing that correctly isnt easy!), helping collaborate with me on what jewelry to pick out when Ive wanted new ones, to giving me a brand new conch piercing this week that is absolutely perfect! Im so truly grateful for everything. Anthony is such a considerate and genuine person, amazing at what he does, and I wouldnt go anywhere else to get new piercings or help with caring for them. I recently visited the End is Near Brooklyn for my first-ever facial piercing, and while the professionalism and cleanliness of their place were commendable, my overall experience was disappointing. The facility adhered to strict hygiene standards, and I felt assured of their commitment to safety. However, the person conducting the piercing seemed uncaring and lacked the willingness to provide essential information on aftercare and guidance in selecting the appropriate jewelry.As a first-time facial piercing recipient, I expected more guidance and support throughout the process. Unfortunately, I left with larger jewelry in my nose than anticipated, only to be informed afterward that it was necessary for the healing process. This lack of communication left me feeling frustrated and uninformed.I regret having to leave this comment here, as I chose this business for their excellent reviews.

Hali was the absolute best! I would recommend her to anyone for any type of piercing! I got a septum piercing and was nervous it would hurt quit a bit but it was so quick and easy. Hali did an amazing job explaining everything -- from selecting which jewelry to start with to the actual piercing. I appreciated her walking me through everything and explaining her thought process so I knew it was going to be done perfectly. She was so nice about answering all my questions (of course I had many :) It looks so so good and thats all thanks to Hali. Thank you so much!

I got my septum pierced at a different studio about 6 weeks ago, and since then, Ive been experiencing lingering tenderness on the tip of my nose and grew some piercing bumps that I was somewhat concerned about. I went back to the original piercing studio for a follow-up visit last week, and while I got some good information about next steps, I wanted to get a 2nd opinion from another piercer. Multiple friends recommended that I stop by The End Is Near, so I booked a quick 15-minute consultation yesterday and regret ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Hali, who put me at ease the second I stepped in the door. She read through my notes ahead of time and knew exactly what I was coming in for (which I found very comforting), and was extremely patient while I explained my situation. After doing a visual inspection of my septum and seeing the piercing bumps that I mentioned, she commented on how the retainer was a little snug and rubbing, likely contributing to those bumps. She offered to open the retainer a little bit to give some extra room and calmy talked me through each step of how she was preparing to do it. She explained what every instrument was while unwrapping it, gave me a quick nostril cleaning with some saline wipes and q-tips, and even offered a pack of wipes to take home with me afterwards (I accidentally left my saline spray at work and didnt have a way to clean my nose again before bed, so I thought it was SUPER sweet of her to offer). Once she opened that retainer with those sterilized pliers, babyyy, I felt that relief instantly and actually almost cried, lol.We talked about aftercare, the typical timeline for a full heal, and recommended the styles of piercings to consider once Im healed up and ready to transition to my full-time piercing.The service and my experience was above and beyond what I expected, and Im glad that I have some additional knowledge and confidence to hold on to. Left my appointment super happy with everything!Hali, I appreciate you so much girl. Thank you a million times over for taking care of me - looking forward to a repeat visit!

I went to get my nipples pierced a couple days ago on Monday 5/6/24, Hali is amazing and SO patient and respectful when it comes to body autonomy! I highly recommend!

I’ve gotten many piercings in my life, all without any issues. In my experience with this business, that was not the case. Back in February this year, I came here based on their glowing reviews, they seemed like a trust worthy business. It has been nothing but a nightmare since. I got 2 piercings on my upper lobe and purchased 5 flat back 14k studs with a whopping price tag of over $800 dollars! I was shocked with the price but proceeded anyway, I traveled far to this location and I really wanted to get these piercings. The piercer was very nice and professional with his work but I have been fighting a painful infection with the 2 piercings they did for 6+ months now. Incurring $200 + in medical expenses. After 2 rounds of antibiotics I came to realize they put in metal backings not even titanium, which is causing my infections. I thought I was paying for 14k gold earrings. My skin reacts negatively to certain metals which is why I wanted only gold, I specifically asked for gold and was willing to pay that price for gold. I went online and found the same studs they sold me (COMPLETE WITH 14K GOLD BACKS) for a fraction of what they charged me! I definitely cannot recommend coming here. They caused me unnecessary pain for their own financial benefit. They cheated me and will cheat you too.FOLLOW UP: I want to add that I religiously followed the aftercare plan as directed. Despite my efforts the infection persisted. The irritation and infection was only in the back part of my piercing, where the cheap metal back that has already discolored was sitting. I recently completed my 2nd round of antibiotics and within 1 day felt the itch and presence of the infection starting up yet again. After purchasing acrylic flat backs on Amazon for less than $10 I am feeling notably better. Thus more proving that it was in fact the cheap backs that were placed in my new peircings causing all of this. I will also update this review with photos of the discolored backs. Your response is deflective and does not resolve anything.

Haylie did an amazing job with my piercing along with my friends. She was so kind, took her time to explain the process and even did some breathing exercises which made the process smooth and relaxing.

The pictured three-stone gold + clear CZ stud, the piercing itself, aftercare supplies, and tip landed around $300.He/the shop could easily have taken another $300+ of my money on piercings I wanted in my other ear in the same session, but Anthony instead recommended I wait, so Id have a comfortable side to sleep on for the coming months. (And as of the next morning, he was right.)All around, I was super impressed!

I got my eyebrow pierced here a few months ago. The piercer Anthony placed it too low/close to my eye but I think I was too excited to notice in the moment until a few days later. He also used too short of a bar, there was no room for swelling at all. Over the last few months it has gotten infected 3 times bc of the active placement and short bar. The last infection resulted in puss oozing out. It was too tender to take out on my own so I treated it the best I could until it calmed down. It has felt on the verge of infection/irritated for weeks. Finally I admitted defeat and just took it out. There is a DENT in my forehead from the too short bar. Any piercer knows there has to be room for swelling especially when it’s first done. This place is waaaaaay overpriced for mid range service. Definitely will not return or recommend them. I am so so sad because piercings make me feel more like myself and now I have to wait weeks for it to heal and spend more money what a waste lol

I had my second nostril piercing done by Hali yesterday. She was absolutely phenomenal and had excellent customer service. She made me feel at ease and really ensured that the piercing was symmetrical with my other piercing. You can tell that she takes her job seriously and is diligent in cleanliness, execution, and overall professionalism. I also appreciated the Black Friday discount I got. Loved it ! Each experience is new but always fun and I leave the facility happy. I’m made to feel comfortable and the staff is so warm and kind. The facility is intimate and small but clean. And it’s close to my home. I was serviced the first time by Anthony and the second time by Hali. I’ll definitely be returning to have more ear piercings done and to switch out my jewelry.

I went for my second lobe piercing and the experience was absolutely phenomenal! not only is it the prettiest thing ever, the piercer Jaymes made my family and i feel so incredibly comfortable, we spent the entire time laughing and joking and it really took the anxiety off. ill be back in a few months for more!!!

I came in with a friend on July 9th, 2021 to get my second ear lobe piercings on both of my ears. The only person who was working there at the time (and the one who pierced us) was Jeff. He was very friendly but my issue was when he actually pierced me. The first ear was fine but after he did the second ear I looked in the mirror and noticed they were very uneven. I have social anxiety so I was afraid to say anything and figured, if he didnt see a problem then maybe I was just seeing things. I ended up walking out of the back room and he told my friend to come to the back next for her turn.Almost immediately he came back and told me he wanted me to come back because he knew that my piercing was uneven and he asked me if I would let him fix it. I said of course and got back on the table. The second time hurt so much worse but he assured me it would heal properly. Its been almost 2 years since then and Im still having problems with that one piercing. I was originally giving it time because I do have thicker lobes and I figured it needed more time to heal. I cleaned it every day and didnt sleep on my sides either.One of the ears healed fine but the other ear still hurts often, even now. Ive been reluctant to take it out because of how expensive it was so I was just putting this off for as long as possible hoping it would EVENTUALLY be fine. The piercings are actually still a little uneven but at this point that is the least of my problems. I did also come back about a month later like I was told to for my posts to be changed but I knew my piercings werent going to be healed by then so I didnt say anything about it at the time.I obviously take the blame for not speaking up sooner but I also assumed nothing was able to be done about it anyway.

Got a second set of holes in my earlobes here today. I had an appointment for 4:00, but was so jazzed to get it done I got there about 3:00. They had a cancelation so they took me early. Anthony did my piercing. He let me take my time choosing jewelry—there is a lot to choose from—and was up-front about pricing and aftercare. He was calm and deliberate doing the actual piercing. He was friendly and conversational. I’ll definitely come back for any future piercings, especially because it’s only a few blocks from my apartment.

Wonderful experience. Got my nose pierced by Matt just the day before I fly back to Singapore. Matt was super friendly, professional and patient with all my questions and concerns. The piercing room was clean and a brand new piercing needle was opened in my presence. Matt then explained the steps he will be taking for the piercing which definitely made me feel Im in good hands. We booked a 2nd earlobe piercing for our 14 year old who fears getting shots and the technician had a very reassuring, matter of fact approach that our kid found reassuring and quite painless! Anthony is extremely professional, efficient, passionate, friendly, and fun. Ive been to him twice, first for a nose-ring replacement and secondly for a nipple piercing. Unlike many tattoo shops where piercing is an afterthought, TEIN is focused around piercing, and Anthony is clearly experienced, excited, and passionate about the professional process and the art of body piercings. Quick and welcoming. Jules, who pierced my nose, was very nice and explained a lot of the process and after care. The saline spray here although is kind of expensive ($8.50/ 2.5oz) it has helped me keep my nose clean. I had it pierced originally in June but got an infection due to my own error (forgot to clean it after about 2 weeks, was relying on making salt water solution) The spray has made it easy for me to carry and use. Its been a week since I got it pierced and there isnt as much pain unless I accidentally poke it. The piercing itself has a flat back stud instead of the L shaped which is what I prefer. I had the L shape last time which removing while infected was not easy even while a doctor had professionally done it. Hopefully it doesnt happen again but switching piercings when its healed would be a lot easier with the flat back stud in my opinion.

The End Is Near is a Brooklyn treasure! On your end, make sure you book an appointment in advance online---- no walks ins, which is completely understandable. Arrive slightly early to your scheduled appointment with enough time to fill out quick, easy online paperwork. They provide a clean, sterile, and inviting space & environment. Its a tiny but cozy shop. This was the second time Ive visited to have my ears pierced; Ive enjoyed every experience! My first visit, a great guy named Anthony took care of me, and this time, another great guy named James made sure I walked out with two more awesome piercings. Both were excellent, kind people and conversationalists, and made my experiences memorable and fun. Ill be back again & again.

Went for a helix piercing. Anthony was super friendly, confident, expedient, knowledgable, and has a light touch. Eased my anxiety around needles. I would absolutely go back to get more piercings here, and the jewelry is so beautiful.

Anthony is amazing! He did my nostril and my septum. He’s very knowledgeable, precise and talks you through the entire process . The jewelry is a tad expensive but I’d rather that than having a reaction to cheap jewelry/jewelry that claims to be hypoallergenic but when it’s not. 10/10. Whenever I get pierced again, I definitely want Anthony to do it!

The two female presenting people working when I arrived so kindly squeezed me in without an appointment, which I so appreciate, because it ended up taking a few minutes longer than expected. As they explained to me, septum piercings usually stay open pretty long, but mine decided to heal up significantly in the less than 24 hours I had it out. The two helped me get my ring back in which I definitely could not have done on my own, and now I have my favorite part of my face back! Once again stellar customer service!

I got two piercings, the person who pierced me was quite friendly she made the experience extremely enjoyable. They also have an array of beautiful jewelry to choose from.

Piercer was rude, short, dismissive, snobby, and unwilling to work with my anatomy because my septum was apparently mildly deviated. After talking with him, I knew I didn’t have want him touching me at all, septum or not. He couldn’t be bothered to be courteous, let alone actually try to work with his client’s anatomy. Thankfully I know piercers who are experienced enough to work with anatomy that isn’t perfectly straight. I just have to wait longer to see them because they actually know what they’re doing *AND* know how to speak to a customer without sounding like they would rather be anywhere else. Don’t go for a septum piercing here unless you wanna get shamed for your nose being anything less than perfectly symmetrical and being lowkey bullied like you’re in a portlandia sketch.Edit to reply to owner’s response:Even my friend who was with me was icked out by his tone, which maybe you’re used to, but I wasn’t. I’m a nurse, I work a customer service job every day. What you say is just as important as how you say it. Tone is subjective, sure, and he wasn’t abusive and didn’t yell at me or anything, but he just seemed like he wanted to be anywhere else. He started off by being really weird about the fact that we were 15 minutes early for the appointment. I figured we could just look at the jewelry while we waited. He had finished whatever he was doing with the customers before us when he addressed us, but it was like us being there was an imposition. We weren’t saying we wanted to be taken right away, but then he acted like he was doing me a favor by taking me back to “even see if you can get a septum” in this really negative “ugh” kind of tone. When he told me he wouldn’t do it, he was trying to see if I’d get some other piercing by saying “Well I want to take your money haha so if you want to do something else…” which I found really tactless and mercenary.I’m sure you have a recording, but I think a lot is lost in translation when all you’re focused on is what he said and not how he said it. I have no incentive to fabricate this review. I left it because I was really upset and disappointed when I left and I wanted other people to be able to avoid a similar experience.I have since gotten my septum pierced, it’s healing well, is straight, and I had a lovely experience with someone who didn’t treat me like a chore. Nice try attempting to gaslight me though.

They patiently answered questions for me in advance, had wonderful customer service and phone skills when they needed to move my appointment back a little due to one of their piercers having a death in the family, but most of all, the actual day of was fantastic.I worked with Anthony, who is funny, charming, and really just easy to talk to. He was calm, patient, explained everything very well, and he had a surprisingly gentle hand given the whole Ill now be stabbing you in the face thing that goes along with getting your nose pierced.There are tons of amazing reviews about these folks for a reason. If youre looking for some body modifications from people who are conscientious, clean, careful, and compassionate - this is definitely the place to go!

This was my first piercing experience, and was recommended the studio by my friend who also got his first piercing here. Really nice, understanding, and respectful piercers, called me my preferred name and make great small talk! I was pierced by Jeff and he was very kind. They know their anatomy and take that into consideration with their piercing placements. I got my second lobes and tragus done by them and it was very quick. They take sanitation very seriously too. Unfortunately we didn’t done the piercing there because of age.We decided to make a birthday gift to my 7 y.o. daughter- first piercing. But because of internal policy master refused to do it.They can do a piercing only from 8y.o. So we did it at another lovely place at the next block.

The End Is Near is the best piercing studio Ive been to! Ive been going regularly for the past few years and have worked with both Anthony and Jeff to curate my ear piercings (by accident - Anthony did my full right ear, and Jeff my left).On my most recent visit, I came in for a Helix and Lobe piercing from Jeff and cant rave enough about the experience/service. Jeff took his time in helping me pick out my jewelry and placements, giving an expert opinion on what combinations worked best - not only aesthetically but with the shape of my ear. Im so thrilled with the end results that I find myself showing off my left ear way more than is probably normal... I LOVE IT!Overall, my experiences at The End Is Near have been nothing but amazing and I cant wait to come back in a few short months!

An awesome experience! My piercer, Jeff, was super cool and took the time to explain everything to me which was very helpful! It was my first time ever getting a face piercing (nostril), and the whole process was very quick and painless when it came to the actual piercing aspect of the appointment. Omg, James was amazing he was my professional piercer. I wanted to get the bar for the industrial piercing, when he checked my ear he said unfortunately my ear was not a good contender for this particular piercing. He did explain to me why because my ear will not be able to handle the pressure, he did suggest a few choices and when he told me about the conch piercing I jumped at the chance to get it. James was very professional and nice and he walked me through the process, it didnt hurt and he made me and bestie feel very comfortable while he performed the piercing. I recently got a second piercing in my ear lobes, and the staff was wonderful. Jeff did a great job with the piercing, was very understanding when I mentioned I was nervous, and did a great job making sure I felt comfortable with the piercing placement and procedure.There was a bit of sticker shock as I didnt realized it was $30 PER earlobe for the piercing fee, not a set, and I also had to pay for threadless posts in addition to the jewelry. HOWEVER, the staff was perfectly upfront about the cost before I had any piercings done, and did not try to sneak in anything I didnt 100% agree with. I think its just been a while since Ive had a piercing and didnt really realized the full cost.I overall definitely recommend!

So this has been the third time I’ve been to this establishment in my life and each time I have had a great experience. The first time was when I was about 17 and I was getting my lobes pierced for the first time ever, I don’t remember who my piercer was at the time but they did a wonderful job. Due to nobody’s fault other than my own, I had to get them re-pierced about a year or two later. When I got my ears pierced the second time it was preformed by a Mr. Anthony Zotto and he did an amazing job. Well I’m 21 now and I just stopped by yesterday for my Septum appointment and what do you know Mr. Zotto is my Piercer again!! I didn’t tell him at the time but I remember his face like it was yesterday 😂 He was very professional, thorough and did a great job prepping me for the needle and healing process. Would highly recommend him to anybody looking to get Professional face piercings! The establishment is very clean. It was a little pricey for the starter jewelry but I’m no expert!! Regardless of that, the pieces do look and feel of quality. I will definitely be returning for my next piercing(s).

I first visited the shop in July and had a conversation with Anthony, regarding my concerns about healing since I was traumatized by an unpleasant experience at another shop in Brooklyn. Anthony listened and had an amazing persona that assured me that I would not have a negative experience.I then booked my appointment for 11/13 and was so pleased to be serviced by Jeff. He was servicing an earlier client when I arrived and was so apologetic for the momentary wait (which is no problem to me since he was following COVID regulations). My piercing was painless, the shop was clean and every step was discussed with me; thus, I was comfortable and knew that I was in great hands. The selection for starter jewelry was phenomenal. Booked an appointment for an industrial piercing and was quickly, and kindly informed by Anthony that my ear was unable to accommodate that particular piercing. I asked to do a helix piercing instead and my request was easily accommodated, as was a spur of a moment decision to get my nostril re-piercedMy ID was required as I signed in, as was my proof of vaccination after I asked for an under mask piercing, and there was a short wait as the jewelry and piercing instruments were sterilized — no complaints about any of that! It made the experience reassuring in terms of safety.The piercing process itself was very quick, and, while not pain-free, was significantly less painful than I remember from the first time I got a non-lobe piercing.I’d definitely trust TEIN with any future piercings.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The place is definitely sterile and clean looking. BUT, they do sell standard titanium Amazon jewelry like rook rings, eyebrow rings, etc for 50$ and above. Yes, we know it’s park slope, yes we’re expecting a nasty response from the owner. But if your piercings are priced based on your high quality professionals, shouldn’t the service cost ($35) more than the 3cm piece of jewelry? ($50) Seems a little bit like a scam to me. It’s just a plain barbell ya know lol

I got my Medusa piercing done today at TEIN and it was such a fantastic experience! It’s a lovely shop, I had no issues finding it and if you arrive early, there are plenty of cute cafes and restaurants in the area you can stop at! Anyway, Anthony was my piercer. The absolute best staff at a piercing place ever. I was extremely nervous to get a second piercing. Not only did Jaymes help calm me down, he was gentle and friendly. There was another guy there who was also just the sweetest. I can’t remember his name but it was a black guy with a bunch of piercing and he was the sweetest. I love this place and would recommend to everyone especially if piercing scare you a bit lol

Jeff did an amazing job piercing my 9yo childs ears. She has been wanting to get them pierced for years but is afraid of needles. He carefully explained the process and made it a very positive experience. She could not stop beaming about how much she loved her earrings after.

Went in to see Jeff about a septum piercing and the experience was top-notch. He walked through the whole process, explained the procedure and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. He took the time to explain how my body might cause the piercing to look crooked, what he was going to do to mitigate that, and what I could expect with the final result. You can tell these folks really care. Something else I noticed was how painstaking they were to provide a clean environment, swapping gloves several times throughout to make sure I was never touched with a non-sterilized hand. I cant recommend it enough!

I came here for a naval piercing and was very pleased with my piercer’s professionalism and thoroughness. He redrew the mark several times until he was satisfied with the placement. The place is very clean, professional, and takes many safety precautions concerning covid. If I had to say one negative thing it would be that when I asked for clarification on cleaning instructions, my piercer seemed annoyed to have to repeat himself. Unfortunately for me on the day of my appointment they were waiting for a shipment to come in, so I only had 3 choices of jewelry, but this doesn’t seem to be the norm, so don’t let that steer you away.

All clients are allowed the necessary time to have their questions answered prior to beginning of procedure. You are also encouraged to ask questions during the procedure. My 17 year old finally decided it was time to get their ears pierced (for their bday), and we both had a great experience at The End Is Near. There was a great selection of posts, a good price range, the piercing tech was absolutely wonderful - supportive from the choosing phase through the piercings - and the place is so comfortable and spotless. The advice on aftercare was thorough and clear. I’m so glad we decided to keep it local. I highly recommend this business. We had fun, and the kid is thrilled.

Matt is AMAZING! So knowledgeable and easy to talk with, he answered every nervous, annoying and gross question that I had!I went to him for a nose piercing, my friend went in for her tragus. He spent a bunch of time helping us pick the right jewelry, sanitizing his workspace (spotless!) and talking to us about after care. He took his time to make sure the piercing was properly aligned and that we liked the placement and look. I barely felt the piercing, he was super gentle and professional.I love that they do a check up in a month and even help you change out your jewelry when the piercing is healed. So glad I chose them! Also met Anthony that day, who seems really great as well. Honestly, just go to them- you wont regret it!!

I really wanted to like this place, but have had a truly negative experience trying to get a piece of jewelry. In May, I made an appointment to get fitted for custom jewelry. After the fitting, I spoke to the person at the front desk to try to make sure they had all the information they needed and he was incredibly rude and dismissive. A few weeks later, when I still hadnt received a call from them, I called back and they told me it can take a month for them to call everyone who is ordering custom jewelry with the prices. After another six weeks passed, I dropped by the store to see what was going on AND THEY HAD NO RECORD OF MY ORDER. They suggested I make another appointment to start this wild process all over again. This feels like a basic function of a piercing place and this experience was incredibly frustrating.

I love their covid policy. The piercer was friendly. He was very informative too. They are very thorough with their before care and aftercare. The fact that they suggest coming back 6-weeks after to check in the progress was refreshing. I highly recommend them for all of your piercing needs. They have a full calendar so book ASAP.

I had my tragus pierced by Matt today and it was a great experience! The studio is super clean and you can tell that the guys at the shop really care about their work. This was my first cartilage piercing and I was a little nervous about the pain. Matt answered all my questions and took his time to explain everything which really helped me relax. He has a super chill energy and made sure I was comfortable before proceeding with the piercing. My friend went with me for a nose piercing also and we both loved our experience! I would recommend this studio to anyone whos looking for a new piercing.

If you have sensitive ears, this is the place for you! They use titanium, which is nickel free and hypoallergenic (most other piercing shops use sterling silver, which can have traces of nickel and cause allergic reactions/irritation). Everything is super clean and the piercers are super kind and make sure you’re comfortable throughout the whole process. I’ve had my helix, tragus, and lobes done here and all have healed smoothly. The higher price is completely worth it—The End is Near delivers top notch quality and care, which is essential when making any kind of body modification.

Ive had two experiences at TEIN, once in 2017 and again just today each time with earlobe piercings. Both times the experience was fantastic in terms of service, product selection (they have plenty of cute earrings, different sizes and styles), clealiness, and overall comfort. For my piercing today, Anthony was my piercer and he was awesome, I couldnt have asked for better. I had an incredible experience getting pierced here. Jaymes was so helpful, kind, and attentive. The studio is great about masks, asking for preferred names and pronouns, and providing an overwhelmingly comfortable experience. I initially had my appointment scheduled for wednesday and was able to move it to thursday when a job came up. Rescheduling was easy and quick. My septum piercing looks amazing and I feel so comfortable with the after care process because of how clearly it was outlined. 10/10!!!!! Thank you Jaymes!!!!

Came in today and got my lobes pierced, and it was actually my first piercing. The receptionist was super friendly, the jewelry selection was incredible and covered all price points, and most importantly, the entire shop was inviting, professional, and extremely sanitary. Matt is super friendly, explains the whole process, and I was in and out in no more than 5 minutes. I will absolutely be coming back to this shop, and I highly recommend it for anybody who wants an elegant, professionally done piercing. If I could give 6 stars I would.

Ive been here a few times with my daughter to get pierced and they are always professional. Shes also gone on her own to get piercings and was told that what she wanted couldnt be done because of the way that part of her body is and this is something Im grateful for. I prefer honesty with the clients. rather than be money driven amd piercing knowing its not ideal or can potentially do damage down the line. This is a business we will continue to use. I will even refer friends. Keep up the good work.

UPDATE: As mentioned by the business, the piercer personally reached out and tried to make things right. Updating my review to reflect that. It takes a lot of maturity and respect for a business to personally try to fix things. I did not take the piercer’s offer to switch the piece because my ultimate concern was not the money or the piece, but the customer service experience. But I really appreciated the studio’s response and assertiveness in handling the situation.Overall it was an okay experience. Not sure if it was the time of the day (Monday at 8:30pm) but customer service was really lacking. The place is clean and my earlobe piercing did not hurt at all. But the staff piercer, who I rather not name, was super dismissive and coarse. Ended up with the earring I specifically said I didn’t want and he never confirmed jewelry selection before putting it in. I should have said something after I saw it in the mirror but I was so uncomfortable by his demeanor I just wanted to leave.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences here! I’ve typically been helped by Jeff who’s great. I had a conch piercing (done elsewhere) that had hurt for two years and I left the shop with zero pain. Today, I got my nostril pierced by Anthony as well as a new septum piece. Anthony was very kind and knowledgeable! I’d recommend this place to anyone!

Jaymes is an awesome person. He was welcoming and professional when explaining about the process. Even tho I already have my ears pierce I never got the experience on how it felt. Doing my second earlobe piercing was my first experience. I was extremely nervous. Jaymes started a conversation in order for me to relax and before I knew it he was already done (before he started he told me if I was uncomfortable or in pain to let him know he asked if I needed to hold someones hand for support I could). Sometimes I forget I have my second earlobe piercing because its been painless and I been following Jaymes advice on how to maintain it clean. I thought getting a piercing hurts due to friends/family members experience. Now I know why they had bad experience because they didnt get their piercing done by the THE END IS NEAR CREW. I would highly recommend this place for first or experience people who would like to get piercings done. Shout out to Anthony too he took part of my first piercing journey.

I had never got a piercing before in my life. Not even earlobes. I expected to be scared and in pain. It ended up being a great experience. Jeff, the technician who pierced me, is EXCELLENT at his job. Professional and meticulous with the procedure, while also being a nice friendly person to talk with. I felt like I was at the dentist’s office (which is a good thing for me personally; I love being in a place where I know I’m in good hands). I got an eyebrow piercing, and barely felt any pain! Two days later and it’s healing well. I would definitely recommend The End Is Near. Five stars.

From start to finish this was a great experience. I called and made an appointment for my friend and I to get our flat helix piercings. All of the jewelry is so gorgeous which makes it really hard to choose! I went for the gold lightning bolt, which is stunning. I was a little nervous about the placement of the piercing and being in pain, but Matt was so chill and gentle throughout the process and made me feel very comfortable. It was literally a pinch and over before I realized it. I love how the bolt looks and cant wait to come back for more!! Thanks Matt!!

Got my septum pierced here and had a wonderful experience. Super professional, friendly, and thorough about the piercing process and aftercare. The amount of gloves he used was beyond what I could count, but appreciated! The procedure barely hurt and was perfectly positioned! My favorite jewelry pieces from here are outside of my price range, but they have lovely stuff. I will be going here for the remainder of my piercing and look forward to getting that vertical labret in next time!!

I had such a great experience getting my naval re-pierced. I was nervous at first because the first time I got it, it was painful and very sore, and waited 2 years to finally do it again. However, Jeff is an amazing professional piercer!! I highly recommend Jeff for any piercings, he walked me thru everything and knew exactly what he was doing. Unfortunately the NYC place does not take minors, so when they recommended TEIN, I was so excited for my 16 year old daughter who wanted a Septum & Helix.Anthony was so professional, nice, fun & gentle. I made a last minute appointment yesterday and was very excited to go and get my piercing done ( septum). I have heard nothing but GREAT things from everyone who has been there. I was not nervous at all because of the great reviews and also because it is not my first piercing but ADAM made me even LESS nervous if that is even possible! He knows his stuff! The shop is VERY clean and I can tell from the people going in before me that they really make sure to not cross contaminate. I am in love with this place and will definitely be going back in the near future for some more stuff! If you are looking for a place to get a piercing GO HERE you will NOT regret it! What a wonderful experience! I went to The End Is Near on a whim for my first piercing in 7 years. The staff was very friendly and professional. There was a good selection of quality jewelry, everything was extremely clean, and they had great COVID policies in place. My piercer Jeff was awesome. I got two second lobe piercings here a few days ago. Chris did a great job! He talked me through everything and was very nice and reassuring. The piercing itself was quick and nearly painless. Im used to new piercings bleeding a bit a few days afterwards but these new ones arent bleeding or bothering me at all. Ill definitely be back for more jewelry, thanks!

I came into have my ears re-pierced. Jeff was very personable, I quite enjoyed talking with him. He had a gentle touch and thoroughly explained everything. It was very clean inside and I felt very comfortable with the COVID precautions they are taking. I highly recommend them.

I chose The End Is Near because the shop had such good reviews from parents. I have to say, the experience was almost too good to be true. This past November, we were walk-ins, but the staff was immediately helpful, accommodating and very patient while assisting us with picking out our jewelry. My 6-year old daughter got her ears pierced by Matt and she says, it didnt hurt a bit. There were NO tears AT ALL and she left smiling. I got a helix piercing which was virtually painless. The shop is impeccably clean and inviting. We liked the shop so much that we went back to get my daughter another pair of earrings this past week. Once again Matt took care of us and changed my daughters earrings too! We will definitely return. Listen to the rave reviews, TEIN definitely deserves them.

They give excellent advice on aftercare, explain the process and why and what they are doing. Super nice, answered all our dumb questions with upbeat professionalism and kindness. Highly recommend going here to get your ears pierced rather than Claires or some other mall outfit where they use a gun and the chance of infection due to not being able to sanitize a piercing gun properly is very high. These people know and love their profession, I would never trust anyone else! You do get what you pay for. This is more than the $79 ear piercing gun mall job but well worth it!!

I have done ear piercings for myself and a minor child and the service is very professional and comfortable. Jeff is very meticulous in his work and collaborative and responsive. I felt in good hands with his knowledge and expertise in his craft. I read a lot of reviews of this store and decided to come to get my right nipple pierce today. I came as a walk in and lucky me they were able to squish me Im between 2 appointments. The next appointment arrived before I got pierced but Adam took his time to make me feel comfortable and to clean my nipple before pierce me, he even make sure it was going to look symmetr. Adam answered all my questions and I even came back a few minutes after when I got more questions and they was happy to help me again.I highly recommend this place, very professional.

Came early and didn’t realize I had to make an appointment BUT they were nice enough to take me as a walk in as they weren’t busy 😊 The place is nice and super clean! I came to get a second piercing above the ones on my lower part of my ear lobes! I definitely don’t regret it! The person who did my piercing, Matt, was as gentle as could be. Let’s talk about efficiency. Yes I understand you are the only person in the shop, but I did not want a piercing - I simply needed one piece of jewelry.I came and looked right at what I wanted. I knew the exact gauge size & the exact length I needed.I did not need you to put the piercing in for me, I just needed you to take it out, put it in a bag, & ring me up.Instead of doing a task that would take less than 2 minutes, you decided to turn me away and tell me that I needed an appointment & that you’re the only person available in the shop.What is this?This is not complicated. You were not in the middle of piercing someone. You were not setting anyone up. There was one person in the lobby waiting to get pierced who didnt mind waiting 2 minutes for you to ring me up - she even said this out loud.If you cannot manage a shop by yourself, get help.This form of business doesn’t make any sense.

Super friendly, impeccably clean, comfortable spot to go to for whatever piercing you need. They answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding the jewelry and/or piercing process. They explain aftercare clearly and ask you to come back about 4 weeks later to follow up on how the piercing is healing. They work safely and not rushed, and they have great music playing. I got pricked by Chris twice (Im a returning customer) and he is the most chill dude ever and a great piercer. Go there!!!

Anthony was an amazing specialist. He helped my eight-year-old daughter feel so comfortable while piercing her ears. She has raved about him for two days now. He answered all of her questions, treated her as an individual. His technique was immaculate, gentle and done in the blink of an eye. I would recommend Anthony to perform this milestone for anyone.

Got a septum piercing from Jaymes, he was super nice! I had gone in thinking I wanted to get a simple stainless or titanium ring, TEIN has them very reasonably priced. I opted for a white gold piece which was a bit more expensive, but I was never pressured for an upsell and the total cost of my visit was shown to me and agreed upon before I started filling out any electronic forms.Jaymes provided tons of information and asked if I had any questions during the whole process. He took his time preparing and even explored the possibility that my old septum piercing may have still been open enough to accept the jewelry without re-piercing. The piercing turned out really cute with the snug white gold ring and is healing nicely.A great experience with piercing pro Jaymes in a welcoming environment. Highly recommended!

If I could give The End is Near 10 stars I would; this is my second ever Google review but my experience was so good I have to say so. I went today to get my Tragus, Cartilage, and Conch pierced, and also have a look taken at some old lobe piercings of mine that have sort of closed up to get re-pierced and fitted for new jewelry.I was a walk-in, and Adam and Alex both immediately greeted me and started answering my questions about all of the above, showing me all of their (incredible) jewelry, and making sure that I was getting exactly what I wanted. This was my first time at the shop, and even though Ive had piercings before they made sure to walk me through every single thing they were doing, were incredibly informative and careful to make sure I understood all of the aftercare, and were super clean.Adam did my piercings and is a really, really great guy. He disinfected my ears once with gloves, made careful ink markings, had me thoroughly check the placement, then re-sterilized my ears again with iodine and changed his gloves to ensure that everything was squeaky clean. I felt super comfortable the entire time, he checked in regularly to make sure I was feeling good and wasnt nervous or lightheaded or anything like that (I was totally at ease, and I still appreciated him asking me). He was crazy skilled with the piercings themselves and really tailored each one to my anatomy, which means that the process was surprisingly pain-free. They make piercing an art.Ill be going back in 6 weeks to check back in at their recommendation, and I already know it will be a great experience. I LOVE my piercings.

I got my belly button pierced by James, and he made me feel so incredibly safe and comfortable. Literally would get another piercing for the sole reason to hang out w him, ha! I’ve gotten all but one of my piercings here and I’ve always felt so at ease and taken care of.

Amazing experience. Matt Mayfield is awesome. He is really calm and helps you through the whole process. He did an absolutely beautiful job on my three cartilage piercings and the jewelry was really delicate and lovely, far nicer than many other shops I’ve seen. I traveled a long way to get pierced here and it was well worth it.

This place is great. I had a piercing with Chris, and he was very patient, helped me find the perfect piece of jewelry, and addressed all my questions. He was meticulous about making sure the piercing locations across the two lobes were symmetrical, and gentle with the actual piercings. ...So a friend of mine spontaneously decided she want to get another piercing and asked me if I would like to accompany her and get a piercing too since I have and was talking about getting more...After a brief search on Maps we stumbled on TEIN...After looking at their website and seeing the ease to get pierced we called and made an appointment for each of us ...We made our way to the shop and as first impressions go it was very appealing and looked clean...We then told the person at the front desk (Anthony) what we were there for and then proceeded to choose the jewelry for each our piercings with his guidance..Once that was done and all the forms were filled we then each went in to get pierced..He was clean and thorough and overall patient with us and the end result is that we were absolutely pleased!...If you are ever in Brooklyn check them out!

My 8 year old daughter got one of her earlobes pierced here last night. She has always been very nervous about anything remotely medical or involving needles, so I wasnt sure how shed do. Jeff - the piercer - was very kind to her, and kept her involved with the entire process. In the end she was only able to go through with one ear piercing, but Jeff gave her strategies to work on her anxiety with the process, and encouraged her to celebrate her success.She was upset last night that she couldnt go through with both piercing, but - after thinking back on what Jeff said - this morning, she said she had fun, and will get her other ear done when shes ready. I cannot recommend The End is Near enough. I know she wouldnt be able to look back on the experience positively if it hadnt been for the calm and supportive piercer.

I brought my eldely mother in to have the hole in her ear opened after going the entire pandemic without wearing earrings. We had a very positive experience. TEIN is clean, they were well prepared for our appointment and extended a warm welcome that put Mom at ease. Jaymes patiently went over the details of the proceedure, risks, aftercare, and pricing. My 9yo daughter had her ears pierced by Jaymes and I cant say enough good things about him and TEIN. Jaymes blew us away with his bedside manner and his knowledge of piercing. The whole procedure was relatively painless. My daughter noted that Jaymes addressed her and not us (her parents), she really appreciated that. If your child is interested in getting their ears pierced I highly recommend this place.I also purchased earrings that Jaymes put into previous holes that havent been used in 12 years. I developed an extreme allergy to earrings. My ears would swell up, itch and burn. I really missed wearing earrings and Jaymes assured me that I shouldnt have a reaction to titanium. Well, he was right! So far no reaction. Very happy to be wearing earrings again.

The folks who work here are incredibly generous, professional, and kind. I’ve seen both Matt and someone I think was named Adam. They always go out of their way to be helpful and accommodating whenever they can. I’ve gotten pierced once here and I’ve gotten jewelry changed out three times. Each time has been great and I always feel like I’m in great hands. The jewelry they sell is beautiful and top-of-the-line. This is the only place I will ever get pierced in New York City, or buy jewelry.

I got my helix done by Jules. She was amazing! I’m always a bit squeamish when it comes to getting piercings, but Jules managed to do it quickly and painlessly. Highly recommend!

I took my gf here to get 4 piercings in her ears. She was a bit hesitant to get her ears pierced again because she previously had horrible experiences and thought she could never wear earrings at all. However, I couldnt have been happier with her experience at this place. The jewelry selection is nice, although a bit pricey. But the piercing experience was truly the best! It was extremely sterile and professional. She barely felt anything at all. And it looked awesome right away. There wasnt even any redness immediately after. This was a week ago, and she is still loving her piercings and has had zero problems. Thank you The End Is Near for the great job you do.

I love these guys! They are extremely diligent, keep the utmost hygiene and well sterilized equipment, and they take the time to explain what theyre doing, what to expect, and give you the chance to ask all the questions you need to. They also give honest advice without trying to sell you expensive things. And they are kind and dont make you feel self-conscious, even if youre a newbie to piercings. All of them also have a sense of humor and make the whole experience very easy and pleasant. Wouldnt go anywhere else!

This was my first piercing experience (I got a double cartilage) and I now have VERY high expectations for future piercings!! Adam was so kind to us. It was almost closing time and he took so much time with us and was incredibly professional. He is just such a cool guy, seriously. The shop is so clean and features beautiful jewelry he designs. The most important thing though (to me) is that his piercing skills have to be the best ever because I felt next to no pain and I know that it is because of him. My fiancé went with me and watched and he told me later how gentle he was, and it was obvious that he knew that he did not have to apply much force for the needle to do its job. And he did an amazing job, my piercings are perfect. My healing has been a breeze, I have had very little pain during the healing process, and no infections or complications at all. I had them done a little over a month ago and they feel like they arent even there, I can even sleep on them with no problems (I still try not to though just in case). He calmed my fears and just was the coolest guy ever. We kept talking about how cool he was for like the next week haha. My experience was so good that I kind of want to fly back to New York just for my next one!

I have two tattoos, one very large but I was really freaking out about getting my nose pierced- something I wanted to do for a long time. A friend of mine did a Google search for me and found this place not far from my place of employment. She initiated a written correspondence and sent me a screen shot of their response. I was blown away by their graciousness and professional. I stopped in (after reading more than a few reviews) and within seconds my anxiety diminished. Clean, chill environment and wonderful service. Nicholas helped me. They are pricey but this was not an issue for me because I love my face so high quality was paramount. The procedure was easy breezy. I highly recommend.

I had a great experience with my recent tragus piercing. Shop was running behind schedule on the day of my appointment but in spite of this, I didnt feel rushed through any element of the process. If anything I probably backed things up further since I was so nervous I messed up my release form and later needed some instructions repeated, but Jeff was very patient and made sure I was comfortable/clear every step of the way. I was surprised how little pain there actually was - all that worry for nothing! Appreciate the careful Covid protocols and the encouragement to call or stop by anytime for a check-up. Looking forward to getting the other tragus done here once this one is healed.

Very nice and clean. Took my daughter to pierce her ears. Piercer Anthony, was very professional walking her through it step by step since she was very nervous. I’ll go there to get mine done soon.

Chris pierced both my nipples. I was nervous about it and he did a great job checking in with me through the process. Really satisfied with everything about this place. I had a good experience at this shop today. I was very excited to finally get a tongue piercing after considering it for ages. I came in for my appointment, and went through an introductory consultation first, with Jaymes.In a plot twist I wasn’t expecting, once I saw the “preview” ink mark on my tongue where the bar would go, I knew it wasn’t the look I wanted and I decided not to get it done.The great thing about Jaymes’ approach was, how he explained that because everyone’s anatomy is different, each piercing and its location is going to look different on each person.Due to the anatomy/layout/shape of my own tongue, the top bead would be closer to the tip of my tongue than I’d want, even if it was pierced as far back as possible. I’d always envisioned it further back, but my tongue just wasn’t allowing for it lol. I was so relieved to have had this opportunity to preview the placement and really look closely in the mirror.The other VERY helpful new info I got from him, was that the swelling would have possibly impacted my speech for a week or two. And, I have a job where I have to talk to a lot of different stakeholders and bosses at any given moment, and that’s a big consideration I didn’t realize til my visit today.So, while I didn’t get the piercing, I got a very professional and informative experience. The shop keeps the small $ deposit made when I booked my appointment, which is perfectly appropriate and makes sense: that’s why it’s called a deposit!This place also takes Covid safety very seriously, even now, which is frankly appreciated.Thank you!!

Great experience having my rook pierced and having some lobe holes redone @ TEIN. beautiful jewelry, great explanations of what would happen, super sanitary. Been about a week and it feels totally fine. Looking forward to getting more piercings done soon!

I got two simple piercings here (second lobes); always planned to stop in but never got around to it. Finally made it in last weekend for an appointment with Matt Mayfield. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Easy, painless, quick piercing and Matt was great to chat with - absolutely zero issues. Beautiful jewelry, too. You have to make appointments for this place firstly. Prices were reasonable but you pay for such great service and professionalism. James did my nose piercing and he was really charismatic and did an excellent job. I highly rate them.

My 9 year old just had her ears pierced here for her birthday and we had a great experience. Matt was so kind and patient--put us right at ease and explained every step of the process. The whole procedure felt very sanitary, professional, and polished. I would highly recommend this place and Matt specifically. Thanks so much!

Clean and professional. A young lady from a previous visit was very welcoming and accommodated many questions and made useful suggestions. This visit was all about Matt. He is the best piercer in my humble experience. He is incredibly knowledgeable, honest, extraordinarily professional, with a surgeons hands and awesome bedside manner.
