Phong Tattoo

Phong was great! I got an arm band and he took the time to explain the difficulties of straight lines going around the arm. That being said, he nailed it. Really happy with my tattoo and I will be back.

I got a tattoo by Phong about 2 months ago. It turned out exactly like I wanted! The consultation was thorough, and Phong did an amazing job with the actual tattooing. Studio is clean and how quickly my tattoo healed was due to that Im sure. Prices are fair, actually he could/should probably charge more considering how talented he is!

I had the best experience with Claire!! My tattoo is perfect. Exactly what I wanted! She was so sweet and professional to work with! Highly highly recommend!!

Had Phong do a piece to cover the scar on my ankle from a surgery a couple years ago. Also had him tattoo a #3 since both my boys have been #3 since 8U baseball through graduating. Phong should be your guy for tattooing if you are living in Carmel, Indiana or visiting. Both my first and my second tattoo with Phong were incredible tattoos and i have already plan to come back for my third and my fourth tattoo (and I’m from Virginia). Phong is a thorough professional tattoo artist, especially in fine line arts. He would go beyond to draw the exact designs you would absolutely fall in love with.

I just got my first tattoo done with Sam and she did an amazing job!! She was so accommodating and put my ideas into a beautiful piece to memorialize my dad. Went in today for a last minute walk-in. Claire was super sweet!!! Me and my friend went in at about 11ish, and they had us come back at 12:30 for a tattoo, she was amazing throughout the entire appointment, and this was my fist tattoo, she did amazing, and I can’t thank her enough. It didn’t hurt too bad, just normal amount I would say! Just amazing!!!

The best tattoo place in indy for the quality and the intricate designs. I wanted to start a half sleeve a little over 6 months ago but no artist in Indy was willing to do the exact art style I wanted. Phong tattoo does not disappoint though. For the price and the craftsmanship this is the only place in Indiana where I would get a tattoo.

I had questions and wanted some advice and the tattooist provided it in a way that was helpful but still made sure the end result was all about what I wanted.He was very professional both with me and his interactions with the other staff while I was present. Phong is AMAZING! I live in Michigan and my best friend lives here in Indiana. She has raved about him for years. I drove here this weekend just to get our matching tattoo together! It was worth the drive and money! Price was reasonable, and he was so thorough at making sure it was PERFECT! First time getting tattooed here, and I highly recommend them! My friend is in town and we decided to get matching tattoos this weekend. Sam was great with communication from start to finish. She took our ideas, added a little of her flair, to give us a great piece. One thing I absolutely loved was how she took our bodies as women into consideration (being we got rib pieces). She wanted us to feel confident with placement that aligned with our curves/body shape. She was also extremely communicative in terms of how to keep our modesty as well as how to be comfortable while getting tattooed. Phong was incredibly professional and fun. I found him because I wanted a line work tattoo and he is Exceptional at line work tattoos. He worked with me to get exactly what I wanted. He explained why certain things would have to be bigger or they would blend together over time. This was my first tattoo and it was an amazing experience. Phong was very detailed and took his time creating my design. He made sure I was happy with it and the placement. He kept the session light hearted by cracking jokes and singing along to the music sometimes, but remained focused and careful too. I had two tattoos completed by Sam and I am in love with both of them! She took the time to hear what exactly I wanted, and we tweaked both tattoos a few different times before proceeding. I am all for an artist taking the reins when it comes to the creative design but very much appreciated that she still listened to what my end vision was and was willing to take the time with me to ensure I was ultimately happy with the design. Highly recommend.

Phong has done four of my tattoos. He is a great visualizer and is amazing at color matching/correcting. Phong knows what goes best on different skin types and skin tones. One of my favorite tattoos of his, done in his greatest strength which I believe to be LETTERING (like a fine felt pen he writes words in precise perfect perfection) says ‘Nothing is Permanent’. Well in my opinion, a Phong Ho tattoo is the one thing you will be content in knowing will last forever.Phong was kind and patient with a young friend of mine who had come in for her first tattoo. He set her worries at ease and created a design which was unique and all her own. Being incredibly generous, Phong managed to fit me in for a session after her. We also discussed some ‘repair’ and coverup work on my previous tattoos done by other artists. What is so wonderful about Phong and something I find to be extremely rare in this fast growing community, was his overall willingness to work with me on my older pieces until I am happy!!! Other artists have turned me away saying they won’t work on existing tattoos. They say this because they only want to create new content for their portfolios. Phong is an artist that cares about his clients. To him art is not a selfish act but one he gladly and willingly shares. Those of us who become his canvases are ‘permanently’ better for it.

Went to Phong for my first tattoo a couple weeks ago and he made it a great experience! He took his time talking through the design with me and making sure it was perfect. Once he put the stencil on and I saw it in the mirror, I asked for him to make a slight change and he did, no problem. He’s very friendly, and his shop has a relaxed environment while still being clean and professional. He joked around during the tattooing process and made it fun, while also giving great attention to detail. His lines are very clean, which was important for my piece. The tattoo turned out great and has healed very well. He does free touch-ups on his work and the price was very fair. I’ve already recommended him to friends!

I now have 3 tattoos by this artist! The work is amazing and he works with you to make sure the art is exactly how you like it. I think the pricing is very fair for the quality and size of the pieces. My first time being tattooed here was with my brother and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Phong is amazing!! It’s the kind of shop that if it’s your first tattoo you will be so relaxed. He knows his stuff and will talk you through any questions you have. His work is awesome and he is passing on his skill to an apprentice right now and it definitely shows! First picture is by phong and the last 2 are by his apprentice! Phong did an amazing job on my Zues tattoo! I’m in love with it. He was so precise with the needle and gentle so my experience wasn’t so painful. We took breaks which helped a lot and he made me feel like I could trust him 100%. Will be going to him for all my tats now! Truly talented artist!!

My experiences at Phong Tattoo have been some of the best I’ve ever had at a tattoo studio. Phong is incredibly knowledgeable and talented, and Claire is an amazing artist and my favorite artist I’ve been tattooed by so far.

Got my very first tattoo here. The staff were friendly and patient with me while we finalized the design. The studio was kept very clean and the quality of the work was excellent. If you are looking for a tattoo shop, I highly recommend this one. You do have to book appointments a few months in advance, but the art is worth the wait.
