The best shop in all of Iowa!! I will never go anywhere else to get a really nice clean looking tattoo! Chase and Alex both have tattooed me and all my tattoos have come out looking fantastic and exactly what I wanted. The shop is very professional in how they handle their business , but are still able to create a fun and supporting atmosphere. Studio 938 is the real deal!!!!

The professionalism at this establishment is bar none. Ive been treated with nothing but respect from day one. They are all amazing artists who make your time spent in the shop fun and interesting. Ive been tattooed numerous times at Studio 938 in the last year and have left happy every time! Its a very inviting place as well. I know for beginners tattoo shops can be a bit intimidating, but these guys will invite you in and treat you the same as anyone else. Its a great place for beginners and the addicts! Got my first tattoo here, the studio is clean and bright. Alex is a phenomenal artist and, rightfully, has a busy schedule. That said, he goes above and beyond to ensure his clients are taken care of and works his schedule and appointments around to benefit everyone as much as he can.

First tattoo shop where I’ve felt friendliness and comfortable the second I walked in. Chris was great! Put myself and 2 friends at ease, joked around and kept us entertained. Even the other artists came over and shared their work or tattoo stories. I live in Des Moines and will definitely be back for all my tattoos!

Studio 938 is the only place I will get a tattoo in Iowa. All the artist are amazing. Great atmosphere in the shop all the time. Always a fun time hanging out in the shop. Nice studio with a fair amount of energy. Wish I had a quarter of the energy of Alex Vance! If you are looking to get a solid tattoo and dont have a time frame, this is the place to go. But if you have an appointment with Chase, just make sure hes at the studio and not out playing Pokemon Go with all his friends. So in all, go check these dudes out!

I started to follow Studio 938 after multiple people recommending them. I can honestly say that what you see is what you get. Professional and immaculate work.I came in with some ideas in my head and let Alex run with it and it LITERALLY came out better than it did in my own head. Best atmosphere to get some new ink too. Listen to the music you want, watch a movie, or even the ridiculous conversations! The type of place that puts a smile on your face when you walk in. Its a must stop if youre even curious about some new ink!

Brandon is the best artist Ive been to. They do amazing work there. Very helpful on questions and prices for the tattoos are worth the work.
