I absolutely love this shop! The vibe is amazing, it’s insanely clean, everyone is SO NICE and they do great work, my husband got a forearm piece done by Lauren Burnette that turned out beautifully! I’ve had a couple done by her and she always impresses me! She’s very thorough to make sure her linework is straight and everything is perfect.My death moth was the first one she did for me and it’s by far my favorite!I had a couple scars on my stomach and was worried about the ink not holding, I also have really sensitive skin there and every piercing I’ve had in that area has rejected, but she took her time and made sure to get it all covered! She also made sure to check in with me and see how it was healing! She goes above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable and taken care of! I’m OBSESSED with the tattoo she did for me and I won’t be going anywhere else!If you haven’t checked this place-and Lauren- out then you’re wasting your money getting tattoos anywhere else!

Recommended this place to my parents due to it being convenient and i have several friends with good work done here. the first time i scheduled with the artist personally my parents showed up and told them they were there for an appointment they told them he would be out shortly and after 30 minutes they informed my parents he wasn’t there so they couldn’t have their appointment. they tried to reschedule with someone else and 1 hour before the appointment the shop called to cancel. disappointing to schedule something twice and rearranging plans to be there just for the artist to not show up.

Taylor is absolutely amazing with piercings!!! She was so understanding with me and patient. I had a lil past traumatic experience at a different shop and she made me feel so comfortable and patient until I was ready to get my septum done. She was also amazing with my daughter and her piercings. Love, love, love Taylor!!!!

I love this studio! I have been getting tattooed here for over 5 years now. I have seen a few artists here but currently see Lauren. She is so great, always works with my schedule and is super professional and clean! I have recommended her countless times and get compliments on my tattoos all the time! She’s the best!!!

I have been coming to this shop for over a year and have gotten 6 tattoos from Lauren so far and she’s the best! The whole place looks great now and everyone is friendly. Their last friday the 13th flash event was a bit of a frustrating mess because of a lack of communication and a different artist rushed my tattoo so it didn’t turn out great. But I still recommend coming here and especially going to Lauren Burnette!!

Ive been getting my tattoos done by Lauren Burnett for almost a year now. A chest piece, a tattoo on my arm and weve been collaboratively working on a full sleeve during the whole process. I love her artstyle, vibe, and the way she takes placement and composition into consideration when you approach her with different ideas. I have several tattoos from several different places, but Smoore ink has by far been the most pleasant environment Ive been in.Although you can see where theyve been working very hard on renovations, its never during business hours, and if it is I havent seen it. Everything is very clean and every artist has their own booth, a curtain separates you from passers-by and I have never once worried about my privacy. The environment is calm, friendly and welcoming and I have personally always enjoyed the setup and the way they operate. I will continue to get all of my tattoos and piercings from SMoor Ink.

I came here for my first tattoo i was a little nervous at first but had the most comfortable and fun experience from the staff that worked so well with me from the minute i walked through the door till the time i walked out! My tattoo artist was Scotty he was gentle and had great through technique he did not rush and mde sure the tattoo was done properly and made sure it was exactly what i wanted. He made sure i was good throughout the whole thing, he offered and grabbed anything i needed. Would definitely recommend to someone else! :)

I would highly recommend SMoore Ink. In Dallas NC. Jake did my tattoo. He was wonderful, nice, asked me several times, if I was doing okay, or needed a break. This was my first tattoo and it surprisingly didnt hurt hardly at all. I also was able to meet some of the other staff. They made me feel comfortable and at ease. Below are pictures of a tattoo I wanted and what I got! One of the artist tattooed me, I immediately contacted the shop and another artist said he would fix this at no charge and thanked me for not going public with this. But.... Since May, the second artist only made the situation worse, acted with no urgency to correct this and said he was going to start charging me. So I started visiting other artist that specialize in cover-up work in Charlotte and they can not believe the amount of damage that has been done to my arm. All of them say ANY tattoo artist would know better than to try to cover up anything that big, that dark and that new. I have scarring, uneven color and informed my skin can not hold anymore ink and the issue that needed covering has not been covered. My only option is to start laser removal! I have had 1 session of removal as of now and it is the most excruciating pain I have ever encountered.So....to wrap that all up for you....SMoore Ink took my money, had 2 artist jack my arm up, lied to me about a fix, did not take into factor my feelings, acted with no urgency to correct, lied about no charge, refused to pay for removal, subjected me to physical pain from the first artist and the removal process and said they will have no further communication with me.Being Best in Gaston doesnt mean alot.

Steve is very professional, great manners and helps you to give you what you want. He is a great artist and a great personality. This shop is so clean and I felt very comfortable here. I would recommend S Moores Ink to anyone that wants a tattoo or piercing. Everyone I was in contact with were great. And Taylor is a sweetheart and welcomes you with a great smile. When I contacted Kyle about my tattoo idea for having scoliosis, he was quick to deliver a design back to me and it was MORE than I imagined. He took everything I wanted included; and made it better. He got me in for an appointment and honestly his tattoo is one of the BEST tattoos I have- it is still nice and bright - even after a few years. I will definitely be back for more tattoos- soon! The shop was clean; and every one there was pleasant and friendly! I won’t go anywhere else for my ink!

I booked with Beau at S’Moore Ink for my tattoo today and he did an amazing job! I was very comfortable with him as an artist and he took the picture that I brought in and really brought my tattoo to life. It’s beautiful! It’s by far my favorite tattoo that I have and I can’t wait to book with him again soon. 10/10 absolutely recommend!!

I went today for my first tattoo on my ribs and Kyle did absolutely amazing! He talked me through the whole thing and gave me exactly what I was looking for. I will 100% be back!

The gist is one of their tattoo artists suddenly became unreliable and then would not refund my $100 deposit. *UPDATE: I have been refunded said amount.* (This is after I’d already paid him for the first session.) My first session with him was great, but when it came time to schedule the next session he was unresponsive. It took him an entire week after I first reached out for him to get back to me, and even that was after I hit him up again. We set up the appointment, but when the day came he was a no-show. When I was there, the receptionist informed me that this isn’t the first time he’s done this & that the owners had already had a conversation with him about this kind of issue just recently. He and the shop apologized, saying it was a mix up, even though he’d sent me a screenshot of the appointment in his calendar on the day we scheduled it. They offered to put me with another artist or credit my account for future work, which I declined. When I asked for my deposit to be refunded, the owner initially agreed, but after conferring with the artist she went back on her word; now telling me he’s an independent artist working in their studio. Beau offered me double credit, and also refused me the $100 deposit. Personally, I don’t think that’s good business. To me it would be awkward at this point to work with a different artist at the same shop. I’ve worked with many artists who were in high demand and never had this problem. It’s an artist’s job to keep up with their clients. This was my experience with them.

Had artists Beau and he made sure everything was nice and clean when doing the tattoo. Did an awesome job on my tattoo. Friendly atmosphere all around too. Definitely going back for another tattoo

Great atmosphere, Great people, Awesome artist.My daughter went for her first tattoo, her experience was great an the artist Kyle Moore did an awesome job on her piece. We were all very satisfied with his professionalism as an artist. Definitely thinking of revisiting for own work.

We went to get my daughters ears pierced. The lady, Taylor, did it and was extremely kind, patient, and understanding with her. The only thing Ill ding them on is that the first person we spoke with was rather rude. Its small and clean, lots of great ambiance. The booth we were in was Betelgeuse themed. Good experience overall.

I got my first tattoo today, my artist was beau I highly recommend booking with him. He did an amazing job, super light handed.

I know that the quality of work here is amazing for pretty much every artist but I was very unhappy with the customer service. I was on the waiting list for Kyle to get started on a sleeve for months. After waiting for so long it came to my turn to make an appointment. They called me and left me a voicemail asking for me to send them a message on Facebook to get the appointment set up. I messaged them the same day which was June 13th. They messaged me back shortly after asking me to let them know what my availability was for August which I promptly messaged them back what my availability was. I never received a message back. I sent one more message verifying what my availability would be for August and that message as well was ignored. 2 days later, on June 15th, I called the store trying to figure out when I could get an appointment set up and a lady answered the phone and said she saw the messages I had sent but seemed like she did not know how to help me or seemed confused about the situation. She told me she would have another lady (I dont remember the exact name of the lady she mentioned) call me back the next day and that lady would get me squared away with an appointment. I never received a call or message ever again from the business or anyone at the business. This very well may have been a 1 time thing and I may have just been lost in the confusion of different contact people but it really aggravated me that I waited months and months on that waiting list just to be ignored and never helped. That is months wasted that I could of had the tattoo done somewhere else. Once again, the quality of work by these artists is very good and my situation might just be a one time slip-up by the staff but it was very unprofessional in my opinion.

Great place to get some tattoos. Chris took his time and did an excellent job putting my kids art on my arm permanently. He was very friendly and knew exactly how to do what I wanted. I will definitely be going back to get more from him.

I love this shop. Best Ive ever been. I get my tats done by an artist named steve. He does amazing. He is a true artist. Very kind and funny. Give him what you want done and he will make it pop. Ive been in and out of the hospital for a couple months but i will be going back soon for more. Ive also been referring him to everyone!!!!~Cola~

Wife went to get a cover up tattoo on her foot. For what we paid WOW is the only word i can honestly say.... Kyle is amazing at his craft. After the tattoo was finished i immediately made an appointment for myself! I am super excited for this appointment and my wife is beyond herself with the tattoo she got. The attention to detail, down to the cleaning whenever he is finished, awesome work i highly recommend smoore ink! Well worth the wait for an appointment.

Small tucked in the back tattoo shop. But dont be fooled by where its at. This is the most professional tattoo shop that I have ever been to. Usually tattoo shops are not focused on customers, you see everyone just hanging out and joking amongst themselves. These guys/girls are extremely pleasant and polite. Something Ive never personally seen. Great people and great tattoos.

Took my daughter to get her 2nd holes pierced on her ears today, Taylor was an absolute angel with her. My daughter was super nervous that she would do it without her being ready. Taylor assured her that this was her body, her choice and she wouldn’t do anything without her permission. We got through it and my daughter is very happy with her new ear piercings. So today I went to get my second hole and Taylor peirced me she did amazing she was so sweet and all the staff was so nice they were clean and fast I was in and out but.... I passed out from all the adrenaline going through me the staff and Taylor helped! And got me cold cloth and a coke and the man that was working at the front desk when I was there helped also, I would recommend this place only bad thing is that THEY WERE OUT OF CLEANER !! but it was hygienic in the room I went to and I would recommend Taylor for anyone to get there percings ! She knows how to do her job and she’s good at it too.

Probably the best shop in Gaston County. I walked in and spoke with Donnie, who was booked up for two weeks. He made time for me to come in the next evening and did a terrific job on my tattoos. I plan on going back to finish my forearm sleeves in the very near future.

Called the store about the availability for a walk-in, they said they had some time open and so I decided to go. I showed Jordan my ideas for the piece and he helped me customize it for practicality and location, and then he got to work. Hes a nice guy and he did a great job.

Best tattoo shop around, Kyle is the man, does all my work and always treats everyone equal. His wife does awesome job and they have artist for every style that you could want. I suggest going no where but to Smoores Ink, plus the the place is super clean and not like normal tattoo shops. Smoores ink is on a whole different level then any other shops around.

Smoore ink is a nice tattoo shop but recently a few bad tattoos have walked out of the door due to lazy work, rushing through it and not taking the time to listen to the customers wants. One artist in particular would be a man named steve, haven’t heard of many good reviews in the past from him so be warned. The shop and other artist I don’t much about but wanted to give someone else a heads up.

Shawn done me and my husband matching tattoos. It was the first time seeing him and going to smoore ink. He done an amazing job and already have an appt to see him again in June for a cover up tat.

Great people, great artists, great vibes, GREAT INK. You dont get any better than this place. You get more than what you pay for and these guys stay packed for months out for a reason: theyre the best not just in Gaston County, but anywhere around.

Fantastic piercer, Taylor was very kind to us and our daughter. Very patient and explained every step of the way. Only issue I had was impolite man greeting us when we came in.

You really have to go see Kyle an his people. Each with their own specialty. Not just people that will stick something on you. They form it to you. Really the best around!!!

Got my first tattoo here; came out great. Scottie was the artist. I plan on coming here again for my other tattoos.

This was my second time going there. 1st time had an amazing experience gettimg my then 6 year olds ear pierced. This time went with my 2 oldest daughters and everyone got pierced. Daughters are super happy.

Dont go to Jordan! He will be late and rush you to meet other appointments and you will end up with a crappy tattoo that you will have to find a real professional to re-work. I was referred there by one of the owners friends and when I sent the owner an email he couldnt even respond or offer to re-work himself. They wont be in business long with that kind of customer service. Save your money and go see a real artist somewhere else. Beware!! Amatuers
