Got my first tattoo with Pirata. Super awesome experience, he made it really fun and informative. Love how he explains how he’s doing his tattoos. He puts a lot of effort into his work and for an affordable price! Love how my wolf turned out. Would recommend and come again.

Went into Bold Stroke for my first tattoo in a few years and I was NOT disappointed. Right away the atmosphere was super welcoming, fun, and relaxed. All of the artists were incredibly kind, the studio was clean, and there was so much obvious care put into making the shop itself just as special as their work.Hakishi was my artist, and worked with me through every step of the design process. I gave him a tough spot to work with, but he knocked it out of the park and gave me the best ink I have to date. He took my ideas and made them look better than I had thought they could, not to mention the immaculate line and shading work.Ill be coming back here for as long as they let me. 🤙

Went in for a nipple piercing and the piercer was nice but he was struggling, not sure if he was new. After removing the bandage the following day I realized the piercing was too deep and he went through the areola. Ive removed the piercing and am going to wait for it to heal so I can go elsewhere to get it re-pierced.

I come for 30$ piercing wednesday and they have me in and out always. I will always recommend Bold Strokes for any tattoos and piercings! i had stalin vasquez do it and he was so kind and sweet and friendly! would recommend again thank you guys a bunch

Love this shop from the artists to the vibes to the art itself it doesnt get better than the experience you get here. I was introduced to this shop by my good friend Pirata who does most of my work and has badass traditional geometric and Japanese in his inventory so for sure check him out. The artists make u feel at home and welcome everyone with open arms like family. Plus they know how to have an awesome time. Definitely recommend!!!

I have been here on three separate occasions over the past year and have had a great experience every time. I love the artwork in this shop, the plants, the atmosphere, and of course the tattoos. Hakishi has been my artist for each visit. He always does a beautiful job and has the creativity and ideas that I am lacking. Everyone here has been friendly and engaging. And for what it’s worth, I’ve always come here alone, I’ve stayed for multiple hours into the late evening & I’ve always felt safe and comfortable in the studio and in the neighborhood.

Each time I have been here the shop has had a smooth and organized process. Shop is immaculately hygienic, so I can tell that management cares about safety, trust and reassurance for their clients. The interior of the shop is designed with attention to detail that reflects the creativity of the artists. The ambiance and engagement from staff makes you feels like you can relax. The shop is super professional, and staffed with exceptional artists. Hakishi was mine, he is one of the best :)I have also noticed that the studio cares about the oak cliff community because they actively host events and pop ups in the neighborhood. Overall a memorable and positive experience :)

I can also get my eyebrows and lashes done by the one and only Jess.The location off of Jefferson is easy to spot and you can do paid meter parking out front or if you can find a spot in the parking lot behind, youre welcome to park there as well.The staff is very friendly and will help you design whatever you need, or will follow your instructions if you bring in an original of your own.If youre looking for the best shop in Dallas, like I said, this is it!

Had such a great experience here getting my first “big” tattoo! Other shops can be intimidating so I was super stressed but was recommended to Hakishi by a friend and I’m SO happy I finally just went in to see him. He is awesome and totally chilled me out. The entire shop has a great vibe, really clean and the artists are all super friendly and funny. Hakishi is an insanely talented artist and I’m definitely excited to be going back for all my tattoos going forward! 100% recommend ⭐️

Went to see Sarah at Bold Stroke Studio today to get a custom tattoo of a lucky cat (excuse my picture, tattoo is still bleeding a little, but it looks amazing). It was a great experience in a very professional, comfortable and inviting environment. Sarah was really friendly and her coworkers were very friendly as well. I had a great convo with her and will be coming back for a new tattoo another time. Originally scheduled through instagram @fun.tattooing and @boldstrokestudios.

I had my tattoo done by Ricky. I requested to get a tattoo of a spiral. He was very patient and professional with me as we worked on the sizing of the tattoo and its lines. He was very kind and took me seriously. I appreciated the entire experience. During the process he was very careful and went over the lines a few more times to get the best precision. Afterwards he explained in detail the aftercare process which I appreciated. I didnt have the best experience for my first tattoo at a different shop and was amazed at how great mine was here. The shop itself is very clean and has an authentic feel. All of the artists here are talented and were nice. I will come again for my next tattoo or piercing :))))

I don’t know the name of the girl at the desk who helped me but she was very welcoming and led me to Antonio. After I told him what I wanted he forewarned me about a few reasons why it wasn’t a good idea to get the tattoos I wanted where I wanted because they would need a redo since I work with my hands. I thought that was super nice of him. He could’ve easily done them, made some money there and when I would’ve gone back for a touch up, but no, instead he gave me some great suggestions and totally worked with me until I was comfortable with the size and areas. Even after making the decision he asked me several times and made sure I was happy. Super patient guy and I LOVED how they came out. Better than what I had in mind. Highly recommend Antonio. Definitely going back to him!

I wanted small script tattoos on my forearms of my kid’s names and did an online search for highly skilled tattoo artist that specializes in lines and script. I was super apprehensive since these were going on a highly visible area. I found a recommendation for Ricky and reached out via Instagram. He was very responsive and helpful right away. When I arrived for my appointment he was ready for me and took a lot of time helping me get my designs just right. He was personable, professional, patient and has a very light touch. I was amazed at the lack of any pain at all! If you’re hesitating, don’t!! He rocks.

My buddy and I were both walk-ins and the two artists that we had were good about working with our impromptu design ideas.My buddy had a really cool custom design and all the other artists came over to check it out to praise it or offer suggestions.The experience very positive and I would recommend anyone who likes friendly artists and a fun atmosphere to check this place out.I would recommend any of the artists, but especially Ricky who did an excellent job on my tattoo.

Got two tattoos for myself and my friend by Sarah. Sarah was amazing, personable, super focused on having a clean and welcoming workspace. We both hope to get more ink done by Sarah. The tattoos came out really cute and look very nice, the lines are so neat and clean. The other artists working there were really nice as well. The art in the studio was gorgeous and the merchandise was really stylish and it was difficult not to buy every single one of their tees. We also had my friends ear piercings swapped by Juan and I got two new ear piercings. Juan was such a great guy. Im excited to come back here in the future!

First time getting a tattoo, I went with Ricky Sanchez and I’m so happy I chose him to get my first tattoo with. I love my tattoo it was exactly how I wanted it to look! I went with my sister to get a matching tattoo in memory of my grandma. Came here for my first tattoo. I made an appointment with Ricky after finding him on Instagram (@Rickysanchez214ink ) he was super easy to schedule with and was very flexible with scheduling. On the day of he was very communicative and went over all of the little details, even recommending some adjustments to my original plan based on where the tattoo was going and how it would hold up over time. He is super down to earth and super sweet, definitely made my experience a very positive one. Planning my next tattoo and don’t have to look around to find someone to do it.

NO HATE TO THE SHOP, (this review is based off of conventions I’ve been to and events) This is for the most recent event that took place Pokémon Event in Arlington under Indigo Plateau. We noticed the tattoo artist Ninja was not sticking to the list , so be aware, my friend had been in line since 12:10 , 10 min after the event had even started, and it was very disorganized. The line wasn’t long enough for my friend to have waited 6 whole hours and never even got tattooed. We noticed he would hand select people instead of sticking to the list that he made people sign up after 2 hours being in line. That at the end of it all, he didn’t bother to go by.

I have been to going to Bold Stroke for some time now and have at least 7 tattoos from various artists there. I’ve recently had two of my tattoos done by Blanca, and am really excited to have run into her. She understands exactly the style I like and captures my ideas very well! She brings a chill vibe and does her best to make it a comfortable session. I definitely will be coming back to her anytime I have a need for another tattoo and have been recommending some of my buddies!

We drove all the way to Bold Stroke Studios from the Tulsa, OK area. We found Ricky on instagram and knew his work would be clean and crisp. He made our tattoos look as perfect as we had envisioned them to look. He is by far the best tattoo artist we have been to and will go to him again in the future!

I got a tattoo done with Ninja on a Tuesday evening. He was very nice and professional. He made me feel comfortable the entire time. Everyone was so nice, the music they had on was perfect, the shop was clean. I literally dont have anything bad to say about my experience here. I have another appointment with Ninja within a month and Ive already told a friend he needs to come with me to go get some piercings done. Ill be back multiple times.

This was my first time visiting Bold Stroke and I was overall pleased with the experience. The staff was friendly and very stringent about cleaning everything and using gloves/plastic wrap on everything they touched. My only complaint is that the music was a little too loud but I get that they were going for a certain atmosphere. I will definitely be going back for more tattoos in the future, my artist, Blanca, had an amazingly steady hand in order to do fine line work. I didnt get any color so I can only attest to the lines. I am absolutely pleased with the finished product. Pricing was fair as well. I highly recommend going to Blanca at this parlor

Just a little too pricey for their work anyways I dont mind paying a a substantial amount of money for a tattoo because its for a lifetime but dont charge me an arm and a leg for something that look nothing like the picture the detail was awful it looks like a black circle and thats it and I wanted a Jack Skellington on my fiance because I have one and we were trying to get matching tattoos they totally ruined his arm

Great shop overall. As an apprentice there, Im greeted and treated like family. Hakishi is hands down the most chill artist Ive met. All the artists there are great and all have different styles that match their personalities. Great shop vibe and good music choice. Always uplifting and upbeat. I worked with Blanca to get my tattoo done, she was amazing. I was nervous going in since its been years since my last tattoo. She checked how I was doing from time to time with pain and was really light with pressure. I felt very comfortable working with her on this piece and would definitely get another from her.I would say the only thing I was having a hard time with was hearing her during the consult and throughout the session when the music was louder than expected. Its hard to communicate with someone I just met when the volume was that high. But I put in my earbuds half the time and just enjoyed the artwork around the room. I hope I come back for a second tattoo in the future!

We both got tattooed by Ninja. My sister wanted an anime piece and looking through artists, she came across his Instagram page to message him. It was an easy process from there. Ninja worked with her and decided to make her a custom piece instead! I also wanted a tattoo and even though he had a busy schedule he was able to fit us both in for an appointment. When we arrived at the shop he worked with us to get the tattoo how we wanted and looked (my sisters anime tattoo was a bit harder since it was on a curved arm area), he was really nice and made us comfortable. The best thing was he was able to work within our budget for a reasonable price! We love our designs, thank you !

I had the best time, despite the needles in my thigh! The studio itself is a great place to chill and get your artwork done. My artist, Andrew, aka P.Rata, was professional and keen on detail. They were all cool and down to earth. It was a little packed because of the sale but I expected that. Altogether I had an amazing experience.

I got my tattoo done by Blanca and she was as super cool about it. I had previously gotten one done at a different shop where they barely communicated and were almost in a hurry to get me out. This was a totally different experience. Blanca took the time to talk to me about the design I wanted and was friendly the whole time, making sure I was happy with the art and making conversation.
