Welcome Stranger Tattoo

Went here for my first tattoo since it was next to the studio where I did my yoga teacher training. Had no idea what to expect, but the experience was absolutely perfect! I first emailed in with a rough idea of what I wanted (Libra symbol), and then the owner paired me up with an artist, Rob Westfall, that he felt would best suit my needs. When I arrived for my appointment, the vibe was creative, quirky, and extremely welcoming! Rob worked with me and my inspiration image and thoroughly transformed it into a beautiful and unique work of art. He advised on sizing and positioning as well, and really made me feel completely at ease for the entire process. The stabby-pokey part went by very quickly and wasnt anything I couldnt handle! The healing process has also been effortless and it hasnt even been sore or itchy once (been two weeks now)!I absolutely recommend Rob Westfall and Welcome Stranger Tattoo!!!

Rob was very respectful and caring! Great artist as well, crushed both of our tattoos. Thanks Headband Rob, his milk shake really does bring all the boys to the yard.

As a woman, I have encountered uncomfortable situations at tattoo shops but not at Welcome Stranger. Andy was super friendly and professional. He’s an excellent artist and gave me the best tattoo! The shop even provides free Topo Chico which I think is such a nice touch. I can’t wait to go back for more tattoos!!

Amazing tattoo shop. Very clean, chill music, super friendly artists and a community vibe.I had a custom dragon sleeve piece done by Rob, after reaching out over IG. The whole process was clear, professional and fun. Rob showed genuine excitement over the piece every session and felt like a long lost friend to pass the time by.The other artists in the shop also do incredible work from what I saw and had similar levels of friendliness and passion.

I have been going to welcome stranger and specifically Rob Westphal for a few months now and have had a fantastic time there. The owner Andy makes the space very fun and inviting with the artists he invites to his space and just the overall vibe of the shop. Definitely one of a kind and will be going back over and over

Super clean and friendly studio. All the artists are amazing and between them, they will be able to work with whatever you are looking for. I have gotten at least 10 American Traditional pieces done by Rob Westphal and dont plan on going to anyone else. I could not recommend this place enough!

Highly recommend this studio! I walked into Welcome Stranger a few days after an unpleasant experience at another local shop that resulted in me not getting a tattoo. Nacho took the time to speak to me and recommended Thomas for the piece I was describing. A few weeks later and I now have my first tattoo ever, a gorgeous mermaid and anchor that is a perfect tribute to the guys I stood watch with in the Navy. Thank you so much Thomas and Nacho!

Solid tattoo studio with great energy. I had an appointment here with Jackson for a tattoo on my leg and I really love the piece he created for me. My artist was professional, kind, and lighting fast! The shop it self is unique and clean with a large open space that doesnt feel cramped. Everyone was nice from greetings to goodbyes and I will totally come back again.

Had to find a new spot for my tattoo, and a friend recommended Rob! This place was awesome! Loved the environment and tattoos.

Andy has always done such a great job with any of my tattoos! He is very personable and makes you feel right at home. His shop is so open and clean & the vibe is very calming. Andy has been doing my tattoos for a while now and he is incredibly talented!! I really love the aesthetic of this shop. It’s very warm and welcoming and that’s super hard to find in a tattoo shop. I highly recommend this place for anyone who is covered in tattoos, has a couple, or is even a first timer! I came in here with my boyfriend and he was nervous about getting his first tattoo, but Andy was so great with explaining the process and making him feel comfortable that the boyfriend ended up becoming less anxious. How about that! All around great place to go for all your tattoo needs :)

I had breast cancer and had a bilateral mastectomy. From the moment I knew that I would hav breast reconstruction, I began researching tattoos that would cover my scars. Although I knew that no one would see them except my husband and I, it was important to me. I didnt want that reminder every time I looked in the mirror. I found Nacho through a referral from a referral. We had a consultation and I was immediately confident that she would give me exactly the tattoos that I wanted. I showed her pictures of the style I wanted and then I found a picture of tropical hibiscus flowers that I loved. On tattoo day, she had drawn 2 designs and I picked the one that I liked best. I was given the option of doing it all in one day or breaking it into two. I was so determined and had looked forward to it for so long, that I opted to do it all that day. I have to say that I could not be happier with my tattoos! The are so gorgeous and totally cover my scars! Nacho is very caring and empathetic. This was one of the last steps in a very difficult and emotional healing process. Nacho was the perfect person for this step of my journey. She is a truly gifted artist!

I would recommend Nacho @ Welcome Stranger to anyone! Especially first timers. I was super nervous and Nacho was so kind and understanding. Honestly, getting micro bladed eyebrows was 10x worse than my rib tattoo. You can tell she loves what she does and really cares about her client. She didn’t rush me at all and chimed in with good suggestions/tips. The place itself is super clean and very unique. Not at all scary or daunting. Everyone seemed really chill. More record shop/indie bookstore vibe than tattoo parlor.

Andy fixed a terrible tattoo of mine and turned my idea to cover it up into something I couldn’t have imagined! Perfect job, done surprisingly faster than I thought. Everyone there is chill and easy going. I would totally recommend

I’ve had two or three pieces done at Welcome Stranger. Everyone there is kind, courteous, and a blast to talk to. The shop is clean, well organized, and has really good energy - from what I can tell, they don’t take many appointments back to back so there’s not a rushed feeling when you’re getting work done. I was lucky enough to get a spot on one of their flash days - I loved the piece I got and it was a great way to meet more of the artists at an incredibly generous discount. I especially love how the flash day was structured - instead of the chaotic first-come-first-serve walk-in style that I often see on discount days or Friday the 13th, this was very well thought out and made for a super comfortable experience. Welcome Stranger is my go-to in NTX and I can’t wait to book my next piece there.

Amazing experience here! I saw Alex and he was sooo helpful from the beginning. He really listened to what I wanted and gave me helpful advice on my tattoo to get the most out of it over time. So clean, friendly staff, very helpful, and overall great vibes here. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a tattoo! I will 100% be coming back here for my next.

This was my first tattoo, so I can’t reference it to any other experience. But...Alex (@holland_tattoos) and the whole team at Welcome Stranger provided me with the most professional experience I could’ve ever imagined.I came to them with a concept that I thought may be difficult and they made the whole process look easy.The place is clean, and is all around a wonderfully curated environment. The staff and other artists are all extremely friendly and welcoming.I’m sure it’s been said, but you don’t feel like a stranger at all here.I came during covid of course...the place was very clean, everyone was wearing masks. I saw folks regularly sanitizing the counters. The service was top notch, bar none.Go here. Support these artists. You will not be disappointed.

Andy has been my go-to artist for almost 10 years - always down for my crazy ideas, delivers clean work every single time, is affordable, super genuine and creates a great atmosphere wherever he is.When I discovered that he had opened Welcome Stranger, I was very excited, as he is super talented and tends to surround himself with others who are as well.Tonight I went with a friend of mine who got the tiniest, cutest, most precise butterflies from Thomas F.Happened to run into another friend getting multiple pieces by another artist that same night, so its easy to say this...GO HERE IF YOU WANT QUALITY WORK THAT YOULL LOVE FOREVER. ❤

Had a great evening with Andy, Gilbert, and phoebe. Andy is such a kind and intelligent tattooer. He did a great job with my piece and I am super pleased with it. In the age of tatstagram, $400 minimums, 3 month waiting lists, 15 year olds with face tattoos, Welcome stranger is an accessible, pleasant breath of fresh air. More of this please!

I went with a very close friend to this shop because she knew Andy. I am so happy I went because everyone was so nice, we were greeted right when we got in. Thomas was very kind and explained everything to me and made sure it was to my loving. I definitely coming back here for all my tattoos, and I will definitely recommend Thomas!!

If your looking for a professional and beautiful tattoo this is the place to come. Very clean and precise on their work. The tattoo shop is located in a nice area in Dallas and nice size parking area and entrance looks to be in the back of the main building

My daughter went here for her 1st tattoo when she turned 18, the price was a little high for such a small tattoo but hey you get what u pay for 😆 I think it was done very well and the work came out beautifully the guys were polite and very chill atmosphere... all & all My Daughter had a Great Experience and thats what I was looking for 🙂 definitely would go again Yall ask For Gilbert he did a great job and dont for get to Tip your Artist!

I met with Thomas for a custom piece earlier this week. The shop was clean and professional during my visits. Thomas drew up exactly what I was looking for, he did a beautiful job and was nice to talk to.
