Melissa Fritz is one of the best tattoo artists Ive ever been to. I mean not only talented but such a great person to get to chat with. Fast work, great color and saturation. She really listens and gets the small details. Also, I love the whole vibe of the shop. Queer woman owned shop, and you can even get reiki during your session. Check out all the artists, I dont think you could go wrong with this shop

To say this was easily one of my top tattoo experiences of all time would be an understatement.I have about 70 hours of tattoo work on me from various artists. I haven’t gotten a new tattoo since 2018, and when my grandma passed away in November, I knew that I wanted to get something in remembrance of her. I reached out to Sandra, and she was phenomenal with incorporating all the elements I requested, in a composition that fits my body, and within my budget. The booking process was easy, and she was super responsive in the weeks leading up to my tattoo.Day of (today!), the shop was incredibly welcoming, clean, and the vibes were so, so good. One unique thing Disruptive Ink offers is Reiki ink with Mateo-Luis, and let me tell you, I was shocked by how powerful the experience was. In addition to a beautiful tattoo, Mateo also held space and energy for me to talk through my grief about my grandma’s passing, to help shift my energy from the pain of the tattoo itself, and to help me process my feelings in a trauma-informed way. For someone who used tattoos as a way to heal inwardly anyway, this was such a unique way to incorporate the mental, physical, and emotional elements of getting a tattoo, all in one sitting.I left the shop with a beautiful new addition to my skin and feeling emotionally lighter. Best place to get tattoos in all of Colorado. I havent had such a wonderful experience as I have here. All my tattoos look amazing. The people are so kind, professional, and inviting. Sort of like my second home, Ill keep coming back. Brought my best friends to the shop for their first tattoos and they were so satisfied with the entire experience. The vibe in the shop is positive and fluid. If you want an amazingly talented tattoo artist ask for Melisaa! Shes done three tattoos for me so far and working on a leg sleeve. Shes dope! You wont be disappointed. 😀🥰

Rene did an awesome job. I love that this is female owned lgbtq+ business. I was very comfortable during the whole process and she checked in me often to make sure I was doing ok. I will definitely be coming back.

Melissa is a phenomenal artist who never fails to create MULTIPLE amazing designs when you give her a concept. She has a very light hand, always checks in on her clients consistently throughout the tattoo process and makes the tattooing process feel 100% safe, clean, and non-judgemental!

Went here and got a tattoo from Paige! Truly a phenomenal shop, its so comfortable and welcoming and Paige is so talented 💖 Im so happy with my bat in a teacup. Its exactly what I wanted. 10/10 go here. All the artists are amazing!

Went in to see Paige in April and she did absolutely AMAZING on my custom shoulder piece. Everyone in the shop was super welcoming and sweet! The atmosphere is just amazing. I’ll definitely be coming in for all of my future tattoos. Definitely worth the price as well.

I had won the owner’s $1000 tattoo giveaway back in January. She had agreed to finish a half sleeve of mine that was an outline of florals that is 6 years old. Each session the work got lazier and lazier. She didn’t shade some petals and leaves, lines were shaky, and she didn’t even bother to re-outline my 6 year old ink. Lots of the shading was just plain black and inconsistent. You can not read the piece at all. After the first session, my arm bruised up and scarred really badly. I figured it was because I had gastric surgery in September 2021, but after getting tattoos from other artists I realized it was because of the tattoo artist. When she told me my tattoo was finished after 3 sessions looking like this… I was appalled but smiled and left. I instantly messaged my friend over at White Eagle Tattoo and scheduled for her to fix it ASAP. I was so embarrassed and humiliated by the work I covered my arm up until I got it touched up by someone else. I’ll give them one thing, the environment is super amazing at the studio and a very safe place. I felt very welcome in there. But the work is just not good..very lazy.. the bright side was while I was getting it touched up at White Eagle it was a good lesson for their apprentice on what NOT to do to someone… don’t do a giveaway if you’re going to be lazy and give up half way through! And please work on shading and line work! Lots of very shaky lines and inconsistencies throughout the piece! It’s very messy! THIS IS NOT A “FINISHED” PIECE. Also, artistically speaking, the placement of certain vines and leaves are just off putting and do not flow…

I have received several tattoos from Disruptive and am always blown away at my results. Melissa never fails to make us feel at home and does freaking amazing work. I will never stop working with her!!

Went to Melissa after my dog passed away for a memorial piece and I have to say, it was an amazing environment and the work is exactly what I’d hoped for! I’ve gone back since this one and am happy to know that Melissa has got me covered with quality work and a great demeanor. Never felt more comfortable in a shop!

Went in last minute and Melissa was happy to take us! She was fun and professional. Even though i did a simple tattoo, i absolutely love it and i wouldnt hesitate to go back to her for more intricate work!

Ive gotten two tattoos here so far and love them both. Sandra did an amazing RBG dissent collar on a flash sale which is so gorgeous and only took that queen an hour to tattoo. During that session I got reiki from Mateo which was such a fun experience in and of itself. Sandra and Mateo put out such good energy that my friend and I getting these tattoos had such a blast from the moment we walked in.I was also able to get in last minute with Sabrina for tattoos with my mom and sister while theyre in town. Sabrina even added a frog to our tattoo last minute as a memorial for a family member that has passed. She made sure we were comfortable and did similar watercolor on each of our tattoos but made each of them unique.This is a woman-owned, LGBTQ+, BIPOC friendly shop where all of the humans that work here are welcoming and professional. I have also emailed the shop and gotten very quick responses. Will definitely recommend Disruptive Ink to friends and return for future tattoos.

Me and my brother went here to get our matching tattoos. It was my first tattoo and I was extremely nervous. Nick helped me calm down so much before and during the process. He is so funny, amazing, and all around a wonderful guy. The designs he did for mine and my brothers tattoos left me speechless, they are so beautiful!!! Nick was all around wonderful during the whole tattooing process, making sure I was doing okay, giving me breaks when I needed them and giving me advice for when I get my next tattoos. He made the experience a rememberable one and I’ve told so many of my friends to check him out. I would 100% go back to get every single tattoo I want cause I love his work and how wonderful he is!!

My artist, Melissa, is polite, punctual, flexible, understanding, respectful, supportive, and always friendly. I moved, from the south, end of 2021, and have searched, for a new queer friendly, safe space tattoo parlor. Out the gate, Disruptive Ink gave off the dopest vibes. I messaged the shop, described my want(s), and was matched with an artist. We met, at the shop, discussed my idea(s), exchanged photos of various designs, went over cost, began scheduling, and I’m two tattoos into dozens more. Touch ups are encouraged and free! My knuckles have been gone over 3x’s. My identity is something I am extremely proud of, and my last two ink sessions have validated me mentally & physically. This studio has been such a beautiful welcoming and inspirational place to interact with artists that really care about your tattoo experience! Nick did a cover paint splatter tattoo that I’m absolutely in love with! Mateo, the on-site Reiki Healer, has absolutely changed my experience and I highly recommend combining Reiki healing and tattoo. I have lots of tattoo plans here at the shop-can’t wait until I can work with Sandy! Can’t say enough good about this place ❤️

Nick was a great artist to work with. Booking was quick and easy. He modified one of his flash designs for me and it came out great. I expected my ankle to be more painful but he had a light touch and didnt overwork the skin. Awesome experience all around!

Melissa is the BEST. I have a lot of black work tattoos and have worked with some great artists, but I love Melissa the most. She has great “bedside manor,” checking in regularly about how you’re feeling and what you need. She also takes her time with placement and design and is very patient in making sure everything is exactly how you want it. Plus she is crazy talented! I have recommended her to friends and will continue to do so. The shop is clean and welcoming and definitely has a more open and accepting vibe than some other places I’ve been. I participated in the tattoo -athon benefiting survivors of abuse and emotional trauma, and was so moved by these people in the experience that I got their logo as my tattoo. I felt so inspired by these incredible people, and so honored to work with them. I did the Reiki infused tattoo treatment and it was not only practically pain-free, it was therapeutic and even quite profound. I just cannot recommend them highly enough! They do excellent work and are even better humans.

This shop is hands down the best tattoo shop in the world. They are super accepting and go above and beyond by getting everyone who comes in comfortable and happy. Nick has done a couple tattoo’s for me now and he continually knocks it out of the park. Not only as an artist but also as someone who knows how to do customer service to a T. I will never go anywhere else for a tattoo again, and I have quite a list for more to come.

Melissa did such and excellent job from dreaming up the tattoo, designing/tweaking it for me and tattooing it on me. This was my first tattoo, she worked with me and gave me great recommendations on location and guided me through the different types of pain that I would be experiencing. I always go to see Melissa! She is simply the best. I have gone to different tattoo shops and disruptive is nothing like them. The energy here is unlike anything else. Everyone is so welcoming and utterly awesome! My first piece with Melissa was a memorial paw print for my dog that passed and she knocked it out of the park. Ever since, I will go no where but with Melissa. She is the friendliest, most comforting person I have ever interacted with. I would (and have) recommended Melissa to anyone and everyone looking for an artist. 10/10, five stars, 2 thumbs up, and nothing but the best to say about her!

Ive been to two of the shops artists, the owner, Sandra, and Bri. They were both beyond great with their art, professionalism and making you comfortable in their chair, both physically (as tattoos are sometimes not the most comfortable thing to get) and the overall vibe.I won Sandra’s $1,000 tattoo raffle and got my back tattoo with it. It is so much better than I could have ever imagined. She was so patient with me when I asked to change the design quite a few times before we actually started the tattoo and even at the end when I wanted to add more things. Sandra really has an incredible way of reading people to know how to make you comfortable in her chair. The experience with her was incredible, as I sat for my first session for 8.5hours she was friendly and accommodating the entire time! I had 2 sessions to complete my back tattoo and it’s healed perfectly.I also have my stomach tattooed by her which was the same experience, great from scheduling, the tattoo and healing. I love it!Bri has tattooed my head, face, chest, hand and ribs! I started seeing her when she was an apprentice and she has been incredible every time I’ve seen her since. Very welcoming and all of my tattoos have healed great and she’s very good at adjusting designs and collaborating to get you exactly what you want.Overall, I really like this shop. I go there now for almost all of my tattoos and plan on continuing to! I had to lay topless for my back tattoo for quiet a while and felt totally comfortable and safe in their shop. I love their message and atmosphere as well as tattooing/drawing abilities. I recommend this shop to everyone I know!

Got my first tattoo done here yesterday. Melissa made me feel comfortable by explaining the process, and asking me questions about the design I wanted. I could tell she wanted to get it right. I’ve gone to so many places and this is by far my FAVORITE!They provide an interpreter for Deaf People (which is very rare) so it was nice to have something so accessible.Sandra, she does majority of my work and is amazing!I had Melissa do some and planning on going back. This is my go to place now.My goal is to get tatted by every artist in this shop ;)You wouldn’t be disappointed with them!! If I could give 100 stars I would!

I had an incredible experience with Bri. The entire time I felt safe and comfortable. She is easy to chat with. I never felt like a burden throughout the process. I could take breaks as needed. I even was able to get a round of numbing spray to get through the end of the tattoo.The shop was clean and nicely decorated. The music wasnt the typical tattoo shop vibe (way too loud screamo). Overall, I was just amazed.I will definitely be coming back. Better prepare yourself Bri, as I will have some ideas!

I moved to Denver a few years ago and it took me forever to find an artist I truly loved. I am so glad I found this shop and found Bri. She is amazing and I won’t go to anyone else! She has turned into the family artist and we love her. The shop atmosphere is welcoming and its amazing all the way around!

Ive gone to Sandra Lin for two tattoos, and she was great each time! Im pretty shy and not talkative with strangers, but she didnt make me feel weird about it. I also got one of the tattoos on my thigh and kept twitching, but she still made me feel comfortable despite how difficult it mustve been. 10/10 experience :)

I have found my tattoo artist in Sandra Lin and my body art home in Disruptive Ink.My experience was good beyond words because I felt so completely accepted, respected, honored and comfortable. Sandra seems intuitively cognizant of trauma response and the impact of her words and actions. During the process, Sandra not only put up with my perfectionism, she never made me feel badly about asking for changes or adjustments. Then she helped make my million requests even better and made sure we had fun during our session. She took the time to explain aftercare and warning signs even though this wasn’t a first tattoo, and made sure we knew we could reach out if we had any questions in the future.The studio itself is spotlessly clean and organized while still feeling comfortable; embracing the beautiful, misunderstood and wonderfully strange. Beyond the awesomeness that is the studio, the art itself is incredible! Melissa fritz was able to get my sisters and I in at last minute to get a tattoo done for our mom who passed unexpectedly in March. She was so fun, energetic, and amazing, we kinda changed our ideas when we got to the shop and Melissa had the best attitude about it and didn’t get upset. She is a very sweet kind person, and she loves her job, and gives the best opinions! I will totally be going back to her for more tattoos!

Sandra created a beautiful half sleeve piece for me and was amazing every step of the way. I was pretty picky about specific elements I wanted in it, and she was accommodating and kind throughout the process. I get compliments all the time about how beautiful my tattoo is, and I love how it turned out. The shop itself is nicely decorated, comfortable, and accepting of everyone from all walks of life. As long as I live in Denver I will 100% have Sandra as my tattoo artist and would recommend her to anyone wanting a great quality tattoo.

Sabrina was my artist and she was fantastic. Very comfortable setting. She worked with my time limits and we had wonderful conversation while being tattooed. Melissa is absolutely amazing! My sisters and I went in for memorial tattoos for our mom and even when we came in with a bit of a different design than originally discussed she was totally accommodating and so awesome about it. She is very friendly and made all of us feel welcome and comfortable. 20/10 recommend.

Great studio setting with talented and quality artists. Professional and clean, just like a real tattoo should be. My work has been done by Paige and the studio experience and work is 5/5. Id absolutely recommend her as an artist and the studio as a place to have work done.

What can I say about this shop? It’s freaking amazing. I have known Sandra since high school and to see her rocking this shop is so awesome. She doesn’t just talk the talk she walks the walk. This shop is a safe place and an inclusive environment, you may say that’s not a big deal but hell yes it is! Individuals can come in and get an amazing tattoo without fear and not only that they provide services for the deaf community. On top of that they will also give you an amazing piece of ink! Have several tattoos from Sandra and will get more. I had the honor of getting Reiki while getting my tattoo it was an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend giving it a try, Mateo took the time to explain what was going on. I cannot recommend this studio enough. Love them all!

I had an all around great experience at this shop both times I was there. Bri (@baztatt) was very professional and fun to work with. The first time I booked her she was micro blading my eyebrows which look so good and I get compliments on them literally all the time. The second time I was getting a tattoo on my leg. The other artists in the shop were all fun and friendly and we had great conversation while I was getting my tattoo. It definitely helped to distract me. So much exceptional work on the walls and an all around cool and welcoming space. I even got to meet the owner Sandra and was so impressed with the awesome team she has assembled. Definitely recommend going here for whatever tattoo/piercing/micro blading service you are looking for as it’s a team of exceptionally talented artists in a space that is inclusive for everyone. What a great experience! I knew I wanted a bee and/or an om on my forearm. She brilliantly combined them and tirelessly worked with me on my design until we got it right. She thanked me for my patience, but truly SANDRA was very patient with ME! Her portfolio is incredible, Im in love with all of her work. Very creative and unique. HIGHLY recommend!

This was my second tattoo (both at this studio) and everyone here is so talented and a ton of fun to work with. Hayley did my tattoo today and did an incredible job! She designed the tattoo for me, and gave me plenty of options to choose from to make sure I loved what I ended up with. Since it was only my second tattoo, and on my foot, she did a great job preparing me and letting me know what to expect during and after. I absolutely loved my experience with Alaina.I got my septum pierced today by her (which is a piercing I’ve wanted for 8 years) and even though I was super anxious at first she made sure I was calm before starting and reassured me that everything would go smoothly. I had an absolutely wonderful experience at disruptive ink. I had a fairly large piece done by Sandra that I’m in love with and I last minute decided to do reiki ink and I am beyond glad that I did. It was my first reiki experience and it was amazing. Matteo really taught me so much and helped me release so many things that I was holding on to deep down. He also taught me about some subconscious and chakra meanings behind my tattoo choices that I didn’t realize related so well. I had an absolutely wonderful experience and I couldn’t recommend both of them enough. Will definitely be going there for any further tattoos I get! I felt so welcome. A lot of tattoo shops have a judgmental vibe to them and this place was literally the exact opposite. Thank you both so much for the experience and art! I found Disruptive Ink last year, and I dont think Ill ever be using another shop. I have yet to encounter anyone that wasnt incredible and welcoming. I have work from both Sandra and Melissa, and there is literally nothing negative I can say about either of them. I get compliments constantly about my tattoos, and happily send as many people as I can their way! The only complaint I have is that I wish there were more days in the year so I never have to wait to book with them.

I had the opportunity to get tattooed by Bri recently. She was super rad to work with and did an excellent job! I’m so glad that my artist (Grant) moved to this shop. He does amazing work no matter where he is at, but the shop is awesome. Everyone there is super nice and you can tell they are like a family. I have gotten several tattoos from Sandi and will continue to let her tattoo me! Her art is beautiful and so is her spirit. It’s quite disappointing seeing all of these false negative reviews complaining about her custom work. How does this make her a bad artist? If you don’t like someone’s style obviously you don’t go to them for a tattoo. Simple common sense. Jealousy is ugly. Kindness is not.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of getting my first Reiki session done by Mateo aka Radical Alchemist who is a Reiki Master Teacher. It truly was such an amazing experience and I can honestly suggest this service for everyone. I came out of my session feeling like an improved version of me. Decided to support some friends who where supporting them for their event! I ended up getting 3 of their flash tattoos! Now just need to come in for coloring.Everyone was kind and professional! Clean even with so many people coming in and out. Would definitely love to get some reiki done in the future. I felt it was too busy during the event to get that done.

This piece was an emotional journey because of what it represented, and MateoLuis took great care in guiding my internal energies, holding space for any and all that needed release. I got a sternum tattoo by Grant yesterday, he kindly greeted me as soon as I walked in. He knew I was really nervous about the pain the tattoo on my sternum was going to be and he was so nice and helpful through the whole thing! Their onsite reiki master gifted me a crystal to help with the pain and anxiety which was so sweet! I highly recommend!

Review on Service for Reiki Cleansing/healing I.e Reiki Session:I met MateoLuis in 2017 during a very hard time in my life. Little did I know that we would be connecting , energetically, slowly but surely since that very moment. Due to something out of both of our hands (divine intervention) I was called to schedule a reiki session with him. I had been searching for a healer, and wanted to invest in reiki but I didnt know who.. I was called to him, simple as that. Since we began our sessions, I have felt so much more grounded & aware of the gifts I possess. He makes the space so safe, and so pure, it is impossible to leave feeling heavier than when you first arrived to the session. 5/5 stars, 10/10 recommend. Really no words! If I could give no stars I would. You had a grad opening and instead of doing it by the people who came in first they did it by who they knew I sat there for 4 hours and was told that it was going to at least take another 3. If this name is mentioned I will forever say to not waste your time.
