Fallen Owl is full of awesome people! They participated in a suicide prevention event called Hope;ink last weekend and did an amazing job tattooing over 100 semicolon tattoos! They donated their time and materials to support Jefferson Centers suicide prevention work. This shop cares about the community.

Alice is AMAZING!!! She was super communicative before hand, had tons of work to show me to make me feel confident in her skills, was very receptive to what I was wanting, and the final result is just perfect. Her work space was also very organized and she was extremely careful and sanitary with my skin and all of her tools. I won’t ever be going anywhere else, this was the best place!!! (Apologies for the photo being with the second skin, I just got the tattoo today so I have to keep it covered!)

Great experience at Fallen Owl for my first tattoo. Did a bunch of research and decided to schedule a consultation with Matt. Was easy to setup, only took 15 minutes and I appreciate that they want to meet you beforehand. Gave him a basic idea of what I was looking for and he came up with an amazing design, couldn’t be happier with the result. Highly recommend this spot!

Awesome studio! I went in to see Matt for a tattoo consultation to discuss my tattoo idea.I really liked the design he came up with, which worked great with the concept I had in mind.Getting the ink done was a breeze and Im happy with the artwork. Jam is an amazing artist - I had a design in mind that I had been working on for a year or two that I shared with Jam. He created a better version of the concept I created, and its a pleasure to wear it on my arm. Super happy with the work and coming back for more soon! He played jazz too, which was nice and helped chill me out before my first long session.

This review is a little late, but I got my first tattoo done here by Adam about a month ago and it was an excellent experience. Everyone was super professional and exceptionally helpful and patient with all of my questions. I couldnt be happier with the final result! Already planning my next one, and I cant wait to be back!

I am very happy with the pricing and knowledge of artists. I had a very unique request and Jam made sure I was taken care of. I will definitely be returning to get more work done. Owners made sure to get me in touch with a great artist that fit the style I was looking for.

Angell did an amazing job on my newest piece!! Ive been looking around for a great artist in my area and Fallen Owl has popped up numerous times. Ive done my research and really fell in love with Angells work. I was a little nervous that being on my sternum would be incredibly painful. Being the master that Angell is, I could have almost fallen asleep in his chair. He was very gentle and super easy to talk to. I cant wait to have him do more work on me!

I love Fallen Owl & I love Adam Rose! Working on my 2nd big piece with him & he’s outstanding. My husband also has a full sleeve from Adam & gets compliments on it constantly. Ive been going to Fallen Owl Tattoo for a little over a year. I only had one other tattoo on me at that time. I now have a large rib piece from Adam, full chest and working on a sleeve with Matt, and a few pieces on my other arm from Jam. The prices are legit, the work is amazing, and I would not trust going anywhere else at this point. Ill finish my journey here.

Michael and Alice are amazing! Alice did my tattoo and Michael did my boyfriends tattoo. Alice is a wonderful fine line artist. This is exactly what I was looking for. I have only dreamed of being able to have an artist of Michaels caliber do a tattoo for me so I was very happy and honored to have Michael do my latest tattoo. He did a fabulous job! His realism work is outstanding and I wont hesitate to have him do more tattoos for me in the future!

Chris was my artist and he did a traditional Japanese koi fish half sleeve on my arm. He did an amazing job and I couldn’t have asked for any better. I Will be going back to him for any future tattoos! 👍

I came in with a challenge: to fill a strangely shaped gap in my sleeve. I’ve been getting tattoos for almost two decades and JAM was the most gentle, light-handed artist I’ve ever met! I couldn’t believe it, I nearly took a nap. He worked super fast (as a veteran would) and exceeded my expectations in every way.

Gave James a rendering done by a friend to my specifications and he ran with it. Only took two hours and it came out perfectly! James works quick and hes got a friendly conversational attitude as well! Well worth your time and money!

They were able to fit in a group of us when another shop cancelled last minute. Absolutely amazing customer service & really happy with the tattoos! Would return anytime & highly recommend!

I looked for an artist for a while to start my sleeve and a friend recommended that I look up Fallen Owl. Everyone there does great work but Matt has some of the best work that I’ve seen. He is awesome!! If you’re not 100% sure what you want he will sit and brain storm with you until you decide. His work is clean, he makes sure you’re comfortable, and isn’t scared to strike up a conversation with you. If you’re looking for a more mystic/dark/witchy tattoo he is your guy!

I love this studio. All of my tattoos here have been super beautiful. The artists are super friendly, understanding, and flexible. The shop is super clean and pretty. I’ve worked with Dino, who low key let me set my own budget for the tat and is super creative. He brings new ideas and little designs to my artwork that just make it complete. He’s definitely my favorite artist I’ve ever had. And I’ll say it again, THEY ARE ALL SO FRIENDLY!!!

The shop is super cute and Carl (@farriercreative on Instagram!) did an absolutely beautiful job on my new flowers! He was so kind and excited to tattoo it helped quell some of the nerves that come with trying a new shop for the first time. Great service from Heather and an awesome atmosphere all around. Everyone Ive met at Fallen Owl has been considerate and welcoming. Service is brisk and upbeat. You can feel the creative energy of the space.Specifically with Heather, she did research for my designs and was flexible when I asked for tweaks day-of. She worked quickly, checking in with me the whole way. Three of my highlights include her giving me a test line at my first tattoo, a short line with water in the needle to make sure I was okay with the sensation; her great, insightful, and genuine conversation during; and the bandage afterwards. She offered to replace the bandage for free if it got torn or punctured and was true to her word. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Came here on a girls trip to visit a wonderful friend. Heather Reynolds was my artist. She is super sweet, accommodating, and the best artist I’ve ever had. I am over the moon happy with my tattoo. I cant say enough about this shop! Some of the best artists in Denver for sure. I did quite a bit of research before I came across them and really liked the work I saw coming out of there. Chris Hamilton has done all my work so far and I couldnt be happier. It helps that hes a pretty cool dude too. The shop is super clean and has an inviting atmosphere. Instead of flash when you walk through the doors, the walls are covered in plaques, awards and magazines the artists and the shop have been featured in. Although I havent had any art from Adam Rose, I can say his work is phenomenal and hes a pretty cool guy too. I dont want to forget about Heather and Dino, they do really nice work as well. I checked out their work on Instagram before I got my sleeve and I encourage you to check their ig out too. I know youll love it!

Adam Rose is the coolest and super talented! He created my jungle arm sleeve in 2015 and I couldnt have asked for a better tattoo! All of the artists at Fallen Owl Tattoo are phenomenal and do amazing work. That shop is always super clean and they really care about quality over quantity.

I have known Dino for a couple of years and we have talked about working on something together. Eventually we got together over the last 6 months and did an absolutely amazing half sleeve. I have tattoos from 4 continents. Multiple artist and tons of different styles. The work that Dino did is hands down the best and easily my favorite. I will continue to go to Dino and I recommend him to anyone who will listen. I drive 12 hours and three states just to have him do my work. Thats how much I trust him and that is how outstanding of a person and an artist he is. I have friends that have had him do pieces for them as well and his eye and quality is really unsurpassed. I have never heard a single negative thing about any of his work and I have loved the way every piece of his I have seen fits the person so well and how he absolutely nails everything from concept to follow though. Seriously. I cant thank him enough and I always look forward to our long session because he is so great to be around and I know the work is going to blow away all of my expectations. Fallen owl has been tattooing me for most of my twenties. Adam, the owner is incredibly knowledgeable, easy to work with, fast paced and provides a professional, clean, informative and non intimidating experience. I have also been tattooed by several other of the employees here each catering their own unique style. A wonderful gem in lakewood and I will continue to come here for all my tattoo needs. Awesome shop. Everyone that works there is professional, laid-back and accommodating. I got a full sleeve and a sock done by Adam Rose and am definitely happy I picked this shop. I wasnt really sure what I initially wanted, I had a general idea but no specifics. After the first initial general scheme I was impressed and the fill-in elements and background were awesome.Honestly after the first few sessions I trusted his creativity more than what I was envisioning. After my full sleeve I got my sock done and I couldnt be happier with that either. On top of that, he was really on top of the whole sterile technique situation and very careful about cleanliness. Everyone there is cool, the atmosphere is fun and I always had a good time hanging out even after 3 hours of burning. I wouldnt go anywhere else in the Denver area, highly recommend.

Me and my fiance stopped by on a trip through and we worked with Heather. She was phenomenal working with our ideas, made sure we were happy, amazing to talk too, and being my first tattoo made sure i was comfy to get through the tattoo. I got my thigh piece done by Angell back in February. He was absolutely fantastic through the whole process. He gave me his input on what he thought would look best, he didnt just do what I asked. That meant a lot to me because I am not a very artistic person so its harder for me to see things in my head. He cared enough to give me his professional opinion and I am beyond happy with the results.While I was there I saw Chris and Adam tattooing as well & the pieces they were working on were beautiful. They were talkative and funny guys.I want many more pieces done and plan on going to Fallen Owl. It was a very refreshing experience compared to some shops that Ive been in. They were very professional, laid back and respectful.Some people have told me that they have tattoo artist that do $100 an hour or less. In my honest opinion, you get what you pay for. They were charging around $140 an hour when I got my piece done and it was more than worth it. :)

Chris provided what I can only say is the best tattooing experience I have ever had. He was professional, courteous, friendly, and above all, highly skilled. My tattoo turned out better than I ever could have imagined. Additionally, the shop was clean and every other artist and employee who I interacted with was exceedingly friendly. Came in and worked with Matt, I had a super gross tattoo and he was able to cover it up with this beautiful piece that I am still speechless over. He was so incredibly fun and I can’t wait to work with him again. On top of it the studio was clean and comfortable, and he went above and beyond to keep everything clean and sanitary! Matt at Fallen Owl is a killer artist with mad skills! Very professional and fast without a lack of quality in his pieces. This is the best tattoo shop! The artists are all amazingly talented, and everyone is friendly and professional. One of the nicest shops Ive ever been to. The shop is clean, great music, and they have private rooms, so your artist can focus on their client, free from outside distractions. The caliber of their work exceeded my expectations. My experience at fallen owl tattoo was such a breath of fresh air compared to other tattoo shops. The laid back, clean environment in their shop is everything you could hope for when making a decision on where to get a tattoo. The staff is very responsive via email & via phone & incredibly respectful of their clients. Adam (the owner) did a cover up for me almost a year ago, he explained up front that he would likely have to go over it more than once to be 100% effective & that essentially meant that his work was not guaranteed (i.e. I would have to pay for a touch up when normally they are free). I went in about a month ago for the touch up he told me I would likely need & he didnt charge me a penny! All of this is more so centered around their level of customer service, but let me also mention the quality of work is TOP NOTCH! I get compliments on my tattoo at least a few times per week. I am so grateful I get to look down at my wrist now & see a piece of art rather than a mistake I made when I was 18. Thank you Adam & team for all that you do! --Kyla

I will literally be forever grateful to Heather for her excellently perceptive communication with matching artistry and skill to bring my tattoo vision to reality.I am horrified to think of what I almost settled on with other shops and artists that didnt have the time or interest to help me get this right the way Heather did. Although I was anxious to move quickly from impulse and idea to action, after one conversation with Heather and seeing her first suggested rendition, I completely gave the timeline process over to her. Over a two week period, she perfectly integrated the three or so image sources that I presented into a design that evolved in a way that clearly captured, symbolically, a stream of decades of life experience and memories for me.Her professional fee was fair, but for me something was accomplished here that money could never match and I continue to think of a better way to show my gratitude.The overall experience in the studio was also excellent! The other artists in the studio stopped in to appreciate her work, especially because it was an original design. There are Filipino associations with the design and there happened to be a Filipino client having work done when mine was finished. We were introduced and the gentleman took a picture of my piece to send to his mother! Again, how could one even make this happen so synchonistically?! Priceless.Finally, the front desk lady was a charm! She shared in the story telling, had great rapport with me, Heather and the other artists and kept my cup of cold water full.This is THE place!Heather, if you see this, know that I adore you sincerely!

Fallen Owl Tattoo is out of this world! I wanted a thyme sprig around my forearm, but I was having trouble visualizing it. When I called to ask this shop about it the customer service was a serious surprise! I suck at remembering names but the lady that answered my call was sweet, knowledgeable and super easy to talk to. I have talked to a few shops, and all they told me was I had to come in, but she actually made me want to go in.For my tattoo I worked with a guest artist names Daniel. I was completely blown away by his work. Nothing I would have imagined could look as great he made my tattoo look. I am so proud of my artwork! In fact it is so amazing I am going back tomorrow to have it finished. I just wish I could attach a picture for you to see.Fallen owl has won my heart! I would recommend this place to anyone. Their work and talent are second to none and they are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.Call them!

Sometimes in life we may take a chance and hit a jackpot. Well this is an understatement for the tattoo I got today from Heather. Visiting from out of state, I took a chance at Fallen Owl just by driving past the saloon and then looking at other reviews. From my 1st email just inquiring about “possibly“ getting a tattoo to the second I walked out of the saloon, I was treated with the upmost positive care and beyond beautiful artwork! Not only was the saloon extremely clean; taking every possible precaution with the current pandemic, the owner/artist (Adam) and Heather made me feel like I have been a client there for years. Let’s just say that anytime in my future I want another one, I will fly the 5 hours just to have the best of the best experience! I got my second tattoo last night from Adam Rose. He did an absolutely amazing job. I gave him my ideas and then used his creative license to make it beautiful. The staff was super friendly and their shop manager Kaja did a great job keeping me distracted. I would recommend that everyone go there. I know I cant wait for my next session.

Had a cover up done of my first tattoo (a source of embarrassment for decades). I came with a couple of general ideas, but knowing that it was a cover up, and after looking at Adams portfolio, I gave him a lot of creative room. Im glad I did. We ended up going with a half-sleeve, and it is gorgeous. The staff there is great. Very friendly, clean, and meticulous about good sanitary technique - so many gloves are used during a session! I will be getting more work done, and this is the only place that Id consider.

Got my sleeve started here! I saw Jim and he did an amazing job! He finished a good portion of my arm in around 4 hours. I was shocked at the detail he put into the tattoo. I get stopped every time I have a t-shirt on asking where I got my tattoo from. Funny thing about it is its not even half way done but already looks amazing! I go back in April for the second part of it but am so stoked to see the finished product here in a few months! I recommend this shop to anyone looking for quality work.

Just had some work done with Jeremy Alyn. What a cool experience for my first tattoo. The art was great, the room was comfortable, and the entire shop was friendly. Top of the line business, if you ask me. Stop reading this and go see Fallen Owl for a tattoo.

The shop was so clean i could eat a four course meal off the floor. The tattoo artists are so talented they are basically up there with Picasso. The front desk girl is probably the coolest human you’ll ever meet. All around amazing shop. If I was in a coma I’d still let them tattoo whatever they want on me.

Adam is finishing up my second sleeve, he also did my first. They are both amazing! Adam does fantastic work. Everyone at the shop is good people and this is the only shop I recommend when folks ask me for tattoo advice.

The professionalism and quality of this place is something you dont see a lot of these days. Ive been working with Dino on a leg piece and the communication from him and the shop has been outstanding. You can feel the love they have for their art, and I feel welcome every time I walk in the door. The quality of work from all their artists is outstanding!!

Overall a great experience! Matt was awesome and was able to give me exactly what I was looking for. He was also super flexible, which was very helpful. Loved the atmosphere, very clean and quaint. If I could rate them higher than 5 stars, I would - cant recommend Fallen Owl enough!

I had a few tattoos that I hated, mistakes from bring young and dumb. I spent years trying to find a shop and artist willing to tackle a couple of cover ups. Every shop I walked into acted like in was bothering them and had no interest in helping. I met Adam through a mutual friend, Adam was nice and willing to help from day one. The artistic ability out of this shop is ridiculous. Every artist is amazing, if you are looking for a specific piece Im certain they have an artist for you. I would highly recommend Fallen Owl.

This is the second time my husband and I have used Fallen Owl. The first time was for tattoos to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. This time was for a tattoo to celebrate my 60th birthday. Ive recently gotten a tattoo from Dino Falkfino at Fallen Owl and I am in love. The colors and attention to detail are incredible! Plus the overall experience was very comforting and personal. It was fun to have an artist who was as excited about the art he was creating as I was to have it!

Had a shoulder piece done with Adam, Im extremely pleased with both the work and the experience itself. The shop was very inviting and comfortable. Dont be fooled and base your decision to come here on the proximity to colfax, its a very different experience than a rushed vibe that comes from others that can be found in the area.

Matt was very honest with me, when he told me that my skin was too thin to be a a good candidate for a tattoo. He said the ink would just spread under the skin, just like the blood did in a bruise that I had. He even showed me pictured examples! They are a very honest, up front business, with very talented artists, that I would highly recommend!

I had a thigh piece done by Dallis. I wanted something to remember my dog we had recently lost, and all my expectations were beyond surpassed. Dallis did an incredible job and is a true artist. Him and Adam were extremely nice and made the overall experience a great one. 10/10 will be back for another piece soon!

Ian does amazing, detailed, bold, colorful tattoos. What started out as 1 tattoo has turned out to be 3 for myself, 2 for my wife and 1 for my father (his first ever at 65). And my wife and I are not done yet I am working on a sleeve and my wife is also. I recommend him to anybody.

Fallen Owl, and Chris Hamilton in particular, has exceeded expectations in his artistic expression, specifically the ability to take a concept I discussed with him and translate that into beautiful pieces which were captured and incorporated into two sleeves. Fallen Owl Tattoo Studio is freaking awesome. When I went in for my consult, they made an appointment where I could sit down with the artist who was doing my tattoo, Sherley, and talk about likes and dislikes. Other studios I looked at would tell you to drop by and wait around to talk to your artist, but not Fallen Owl. Their service is seriously excellent. Sherley went long on my appointment just to get everything in place to do the tattoo. Food or water? These guys dont need it. They are tattooing machines. Everyone is friendly, including the artists who dont even know who you are. The shop is super clean. As far as artistry goes, they are top notch. I came in with a bunch of tattoos that were sort of like what I wanted to get but not really, and they made the perfect tattoo for me. Detail is exquisite, shading is perfect and they will tell you what works and what doesnt with tattoos but leave the choice up to you. Special props to Sherley who gave me a piece of art I will have forever!

Got brass knuckles with a caption. It was an old school style tattoo that Chris added his own style to. Took just over an hour and looks amazing. You would think that this tattoo took much longer then it did but theres a reason Chris has been tattooing as long as he has. Extremely happy and looking forward to more work in the future by Chris! I came in for a cover up with a general idea of what I wanted. Heather was able to help me complete my idea the exact way I wanted. The floral cuffs that came from our sessions have become my favorite pieces, and I look forward to working with her more! 10 out of 10, I will highly recommend.

I wanted a full sleeve done and I wanted to make sure I got a good artist regardless of price. I found an article in which Fallen Owl ranked top 10 in Denver. My favorite tattoos are Japanese and out of all the shops Chris Hamilton came up. I made an appointment with him in which I discussed my ideas, provided him with samples and gave him my deposit. He said he would work on it and he made my first appointment for 2 months later. My first appointment he forgot what we were doing, he went to find the pictures I gave him and he asked me to wait until he came up with a small sample just to get us started my other 3 appointments went the same way, he was just winging my sleeve. Tattoos are permanent and depending on how good or bad they are, it dictates if I will be wearing long sleeves or short sleeves for the rest of my life and blame it on a drunken night. I allowed him to do my arm under the condition that he would finish a tattoo I had on my shoulder, he agreed to it and I was content with most of the work he did. On my 5th appointment I didnt get a call to remind me of my appointment. I called and spoke to the girl at the desk, she was rude even when I was willing to provide a printout of my in coming calls to prove I never received that call. I asked to speak to Chris and he said I had lost my deposit and I needed to provide him with more. I said ok and I waited to get a call for my next appointment. I never got one and months late Chris never bother to call me and see what was going on. Chris is good at doing backgrounds but his main pierces are mediocre. He is more interested in riding his bike. Tattooing for him seems to be his source of income but his passion for tattooing doesnt seem to be there. I cant speak in reference to other artists in the shop but it seems to me the reason why the shop is so popular is because of some hats the owner sells. My personal opinion I wouldnt recommend this shop. There are many other options in the Denver area.

Jeremy was super cool and professional during my walk in visit. We were able to bounce a few ideas off each other and he had a stencil on my arm within an hour. Extremely happy with my final product. I’ll be back and would recommend this place for sure!

Im currently getting my second tattoo with Angel (first was also done by him) any the man has some serious talent! Beyond Angels otherworldly skills, everyone at the shop is really great. I cant recommend this place enough, especially the work done by Angel.

I just got through a seriously difficult time in my life and wanted a tattoo of a morning glory added to my left shoulder to remind me that life is short, and being the sentimental person that I am, I wanted the piece to be custom, based off a piece that I drew myself (not a fan of flash, this one.) Being this picky, I decided to look online and check out reviews of tattoo parlors and found Fallen Owl with a 4.9 review record and detailed accounts of peoples experiences. I was intrigued, so I took my design and headed over just to see if I could a consultation.When I arrived, I decided I was being silly by just showing up, and decided to call in and ask if there would be time for just a consultation, and the front desk guy told me to just come inside and he would see about getting me on the schedule for the actual work in the afternoon. As soon as I walked in, (in an extremely fortunate turn of events,) the guy behind the counter said that theyd be able to get me in immediately, and handed my design to Angell.Angell talked with me at length about what I wanted to do with the design, and when I told him I wanted it done in a stained glass style, he lit up like a Christmas tree and eagerly asked me about what I wanted with the color. I told him I would like him to put his own personal spin on the color as long as it states close to the traditional colors of morning glories. He agreed and had me in the chair in under an hour.Now, Angell is THE best tattoo artist I have ever had work on me. He is very professional, and has a light touch, but also is extremely detail oriented. When we got to the color portion, I didnt ask what he was going to do, but he explained to me he was working the color in such a way that it would LOOK like stained glass, with ripples like glass would naturally have. The end result came out looking like a rose window on a cathedral the size of my palm, and the glass work coloring absolutely floored me. Once it was finished, he informed me he had never done stained glass before. He seriously could have fooled me.The work is so beautiful, and I was so stunned by Angells professionalism and skill that I immediately put down a deposit and scheduled another appointment in about two months (you have to book out that far, and trust me, it is WORTH it!) Adams store is top notch, and he has selected some seriously talented artists! I will never go to another shop to have any work done, and because I was so impressed, I will be having Angell specifically turn this one beautiful piece into a full stained glass chest piece. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for detailed, quality work!

Its been 25+ years since I got any ink but that changed yesterday afternoon. I designed flash from my shared DNA results with my recently discovered son. Inked Matthew Hennagir who did an amazing job. People dont realize how difficult it is for some artists to do numbers and lettering. Matt nailed it. Couldnt be happier with the end result.

Im in the process of getting a Day of the Dead themed sleeve done by Adam. On my forearm is a creepy little owl creature from Mexican folklore called La Chuza. Basically shes a witch who was cursed and comes back at night to exact her revenge. Adam had never heard of it before but he did some research and came up with something that astounded me. He was just as excited to tattoo it on me as I was to get it done. My (Mexican) wife loves it. She says it captures the old school Mexican look perfectly. One night the wife and I were sitting in bed having a discussion. In midsentence she stops me and says I need to cover my arm because La Chuza is staring at her and its freaking her out. I laughed but could tell she was serious so we had the rest of the conversation with a blanket over my arm. Adam completely nailed this bizarre and obscure creature. Fallen Owl is a shop whos focus on quality, cleanliness and customer satisfaction rivals anything out there. Remember, as with most things in life, you get what you pay for.

Been here 3 long sessions so far. Angells Dominguez did a sick Cello/tree on my wifes back a few months ago. Hes been working on my fantasy world collage of Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones(chest n arm.) Nothing but genius from him. His vision is frightening, almost alien like. Love this place, everyone I see come in walks out with sick pieces of art!

Tried to get work done from Matthew, I canceled on him a couple of times MONTHS in advance to to things I couldnt control and been wanting to reschedule and dedicate to getting work done. I even let him have my deposit as and apology. Now he just doesnt respond to me and doesnt follow through. Very disappointed.
