We wanted to go for a family tattoo trip to get small remembrances for our beloved dog. They got us in the same day!! We didnt have to wait long and they were so nice! I love that they had snacks and drinks vending in the waiting area. Motown did 3 of the 4 of us and was willing to work with us and modify our designs. Her line work is so thin and straight! She even did a simple drawing from a photo in just a short amount of time. My other daughter went to Fox, who has done some of her previous work. We all left happy!!

Was sanitary, the piercer was knowledgeable and professional my nose ring healed fine and my rook so far is healing fine.

I took my daughter to get a snake eye tongue piercing and a nose piercing for my other daughter. The staff were super friendly they made you feel so comfortable. The piercer guy was super cool my crybaby daughter 🤣🤣 that got the nose piercing didn’t even cry he was that good. My daughters will definitely be back for more piercings. Thank you for making this experience great for us!!

This was the best walk-in tattoo Ive ever had! Seriously, three of my friends and I came in kinda late, with different small tattoo ideas and everyone was so helpful. I’m a veteran with piercing but the experience today leaves much to be desired. I was pierced here before as well by another person, I don’t remember their name (did a good job with my septum and industrial so compliments to them). But I was pierced by Dagwood today and I brought a friend with me for their first ever piercing. When my friend went back Dagwood barely even talked to him, didn’t ask questions about if it was his first time, didn’t walk him through it and didn’t listen when my friend was trying to tell him where he wanted the piercing placed. I went back next and Dagwood is way too heavy handed, he pierced my nose then he takes paper towel and squeezes the heck out of my nose to stop the bleeding so that hurt like crazy. He was nice enough when I spoke to him, but the experience could’ve been better. I really feel bad cause I brought a friend with me, and he didn’t enjoy his first experience. Also I’m not trying to bash, all I’m saying is just have a little more care with people, they gotta trust you with their bodies ya know. I’ll definitely come back, but only if the other piercer is there.

Me and my daughter both got our piercings done here and it was a good experience for both of us. They are thorough. They are quick and take the time to verify your identity. They always have someone there ready to provide a service to you. I loved the neosoul music they were playing the day I took my daughter for her piercing.

My experience was great! While returning home to Detroit for my vacation, my daughter and I decided to get matching tattoos in memory of my daughter / her sister. The staff was amazing and I absolutely love my tattoos!… I will be back. Thank you Candi!

I am giving this rating because me and my sisters came in there Saturday for Candis special she was running for the moms. The receptionist was very nice as we was trying to get clarity about the deal that was being ran however didnt get to catch the man who was the piecer name but he was very nasty and rude to the point we walked out and left because his rudeness was truly unprofessional and I will never spend money where I feel disrespected and i just couldnt believe someone could be so rude to customers coming there to spend money. I also let candi know and she apologized and was willing to accommodate us but I couldnt bring myself to come back there so I definitely respect her for trying to fix it but that man that works there truly needs to learn how to be professional and also learn how to speak to women period!!!

It was a good experience! Another person and I went for a piercing. There were some others waiting but we didn’t wait long at all. They seemed very organized & provided us with the necessary information for aftercare. The artist wore gloves and a mask. His work area was neat and clean. The piercing itself was painful of course, but took maybe 5 minutes. I would certainly recommend Dagwood for piercings.

This shop has been amazing for years and continues to uphold these great standards. I got my first tattoo here back in 2018/2019 along with my sister, creating the final version of our family crest. 3-4 years later we are back at Detroit Ink Spot adding our brother to the mix and grabbing new ink for ourselves. The shop is clean and the artists are amazing. They rep our city to the core and keep you realistic on expectations. The front desk host was great at managing our many schedules and keeping us on track. She quickly became our favorite person. Considering how busy the shop always is, she runs a tight ship and its needed. Thanks so much Nicky and Jason! We will definitely be back!!

I got my nostril done previously, and that went fine. I chalked up the cheap price to the fact that the piercer wasn’t all that friendly and didn’t give any aftercare instructions. Recently went to get my septum and lobes, again it was cheap, but staff wasn’t hospitable, I wasn’t asked to check my lobe placement, I wasn’t asked what diameter septum I wanted, and later went to a different piercer to switch out jewelry and they confirmed that my cartilage was pierced.

Lady L did an amazing job on my memorial piece for my brother. She was very cool, had clean space, efficient pace and the piece is soooo clean. Also, everyone that works in the shop was very cool and welcoming too. You really feel like family there! I look forward to coming back. 10/10 I highly recommend! Thank y’all!!!

I loved the service last night! This was both my sister and I first piercing. We got our navel done. They were fast and super friendly. Very clean and professional people. Our artist was very nice and had a great since of humour. He was also very honest 😊w

My favorite tattoo parlor and my fav tattoo artist works out of there. The owner is super cool and everyone is genuinely chill. At least 4 female artists work outta there. Especially as a woman I want to feel safe at a tattoo shop and this place always makes me feel safe.

My experience at this business left much to be desired. The staff person at the front was very kind, and the atmosphere was fun. The business was fairly clean. I would have had a great experience, but I can’t believe the behavior of the piercer, Dagwood. I did not realize he was to be my piercer at the time, but when I approached the building, this man was smoking the fattest blunt I have ever seen. You should NOT be under the influence in any way at work, especially when performing body modifications. He brought me back to the piercing room and proceeded to stream the piercing without even asking for my permission/ consent. I was glad that he allowed me to check the placement of my helix piercing, but he then proceeded to pierce me with the wrong size needle (he used an 18 gauge instead of a 16 gauge) and place improper jewelry for my piercing- he used a butterfly back earring in my helix piercing instead of a labret stud. I heard him put the butterfly back on and I was immediately alarmed. I was terrified and I had to go to another piercing studio to get high quality proper jewelry placed and have it examined. All of the piercers I have previously interacted with have also been very professional and have explained each part of what they are doing and have helped to comfort me during the process- Dagwood was very cold and quiet. In my opinion, he is lacking in knowledge, professionalism, and customer service skills. I strongly advise that nobody seek his services and I think this establishment should let him go.

Lady L did a amazing job on my sleeve cover up. She was patient, creative, & light handed. I sat in her chair for 4 or 5 hours getting tattooed. I adore her vibe. So looking forward to my next session. The other artists are also very welcoming. Great atmosphere!

FOXX IS THE REAL DEAL! My tat looks like a picture!!! Everyone who works there is super nice and hospitable. The tattoo was done in a reasonable amount of time but it didn’t seem like I was there for long because everyone who works there is so wonderful. FOXX is the best! Not bad. Id recommend and I will be returning. I got some piercings done. Very good experience. Fast and professional. They didnt spend any time greetings, explaining or being hospitable anything but I got what I went for and was safe. Parking was limited. Had to drive around until I came out. Police was patrolling. But thats not the parlors fault. Its on a busy street with lots of store fronts.

Receptionist was very rude. I was asked to hold, which was fine but then you could hear her having a full conversation talking about someone for quite a while, then she hangs up the phone. Definitely didn’t get a good vibe at all. I will not be getting serviced here, first impressions are everything.

BOO! *throws tomatoes* BOO! I came here for an impromptu piercing and immediately felt the negative energy in the space. I had to wait on the piercer to finish his conversation before we went back. When we did he assumed what I was getting instead of asking. He wasted no time and stated that he didn’t want to sit back there for too long and how much he likes to “get in and get out”. He pierced me very quickly and proceeded to squeeze the piercing very hard to stop the bleeding. I’ve gotten piercings before and this was a very unpleasant experience. Very bad customer service and people skills.

Me and my fiance went here after calling at least 6 other places to get a tattoo on the same day and they were the only ones who stayed they could do a walk in tattoo. Its down the street from our house and we are so pleased. They had a guest artist @jenntattooess from new York and she was amazing! We were seen right away, she drew a sketch up while we waited. The facility was clean and secure and everyone was professional. She took us in back and opened all supplies in front of us. Was very clean. She was funny and kept us laughing. We will definitely be returning for more work.

Had both tragus and nose pierced. Quick and painful. Well only for a few seconds then it was over. Healed well, waited 4 months and Im good. The piercer is to be commended for his calm, professional manner.

Ive not had any work done here but I would only go to them for my first tattoo or a new piercing. They are friendly with great customer service. They tried to help me save a dermal piercing that I had. Really appreciated their help.

Really quick experience. Nice shop. But in their pamphlets they recommend using Bactine which if you do a simple google search, you will see that Bactine isnt supposed to be used for aftercare, it can slow the healing process & cause irritation. And for them to be piercers and not know that is a little alarming.

I got my industrial pierced. Pain was minimal and he was sterile. Besides the long wait (20-25 minutes) and the sign in sheet mixup, the piercer had me in and out and took great care of me and my mom! She got her tragus pierced! We will be going back next Wednesday! They have 20$ piercing specials every Wednesday, no appointment needed! They also do dope tattoos!

This tattoo shop is second to none. Customer service and professionalism is paramount, not only that, but its a true black owned and operated business where the tattoo artists are indeed artists! They are exceptional at their work! Out of the 14 tattoos that I have, 8 of them were done by 3 of the artists within the shop, and 1 by a visiting artist from the ladies of ink tour! And my 15th and 16th are scheduled this September! Definitely get in line here its well worth the wait and the incredible artistry.

I went to go get an industrial bar for 20 bucks and the man gets there and he is high smelling like weed and he took yo long with his job and kept saying sorry I say go somewhere else for piercings.! Update 5y later it was placed in the wrong spot so I had to take it out now I have a small keloid on my ear.

Got a piercing last week! The front desk lady was pleasant told them I wanted my septum pierced. Than...... I was led to a room by a guy. First he Didnt introduce himself or nothing. He used gloves and etc. But after he pierced my nose. He just left the room. So unprofessional ! If you want a cold welcome and rude time while your trusting someone too puncture your body go here! Smdh. Wish I wouldve went across 8 mile 5month Update~ had to let my piecring close he did my septum wrong!! dont go get slaugthered !!

My first experience with this shop, was on my 29th bday 3/29 this year!I got my medusa/philtrum (cupidsbow) pierced.The pain was a, on scale 1 to 10, a 11. Lol. Decided on a whim to go get pierced today!!!And was headed out to Dearborn but then passed the Ink Spot thats right in my neighborhood and decided to turn around stop in and inquire, I was greeted at the door and the wait wasnt long after doing all the legal formalities the process went smooth the young man who did my piercing (How I hate I didnt remember his name) had a clean work space and was VERY PROFESSIONAL ...I love my piercings and will DEFINITELY be going back to inquire about starting my sleeve...Class Act!!!

My piercer was dagwood and i would not recommend him to anyone.he is young and very unprofessional.Not to mention I had to go to another piercer to get the job done right such a waste of money.also 5 days after i was there i had to go to the ER for antibiotics. Everything this man touched was infected I tried to call the shop and report him and was told to contact the manager but was never able to get through to him.im seriously thinking about a lawsuit on their unprofessional nasty a**es

Overpriced. I had my recolored for $100 and a friend got three words on his chest in plain lettering for $250. But the kicker: this professional establishment put the lettering on at a slant, drooping across his chest and said it was his chest HAIR that made it look like this. Whomp whomp.
