It’s been 6, going on 7, months since Gibby permanently gifted me his art. I can’t believe I forgot to leave a review—trust me when I say that’s representative of how out of it I was. Because I was blown away.I made an appointment as a walk-in. Art of Ink family’s so professional, so personable, and this was the best tattoo experience I’ve ever had.I cannot wait to go back; plus every artist in there knows what they’re doing, and they do it well!!Instead of flying back & forth to NYC for my tattoo guy, he’s seen Gibby’s work and he’s grateful I found a new tattoo family closer to home.Thanks for your excellent work y’all & thank you for making me feel so welcomed!If you’re thinking of checking this place out, don’t hesitate. It’s absolutely freaking worth it.

We went as walk-ins but our experience was great. Pete was super friendly and made the experience fun for my cousin and sister to get their ear piercings. Highly recommend!

Pete did a phenomenal piece for me on a botched job that a guy who supposedly been tattooing for 15 years did. You cant Even see the solid black. Will update with healed pic.Will definitely be back

If your looking to get a tat, this is the place to go. Pete and John John are the guys. I went in and immediately felt welcomed. Pete did a half sleeve on me with color and its perfect. Its been years since my last tattoo, and Ive found my permanent tattoo guys. I highly recommend these guys and will definitely be going back for another one.

Came to get my daith pierced and had an amazing experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and fun, and I was walked through the entire process. Pete, who did my piercing was very professional; he sanitized everything and answered all questions. He even explained why he used the jewelry he did. 10/10 would recommend.P.S: Make sure you bring your ID if you’re under 18.

When I first showed up to the shop it was midafternoon, and the place was completely open and empty. I waited about 15 minutes and was about to leave when Jose came in the front door. Obviously, an excellent artist I asked him to draw up a design for a tattoo I wanted to get. I explained all the details and size of the tattoo that I wanted. We agreed on a price for the tattoo. He asked for a $40 deposit, and I gave it to him. Only later to find out this was not a deposit, and it didnt apply to the cost of the tattoo. He told me later that it was not refundable also because he was charging me for the time to come up with the design. I have never been charged for concept art or heard of anyone getting charged for concept art in the past...completely ridiculous. And he wasn’t straight forward about this from the beginning. When he sent me the design it was unfinished and needed some work. It was missing some key details I had asked for. I had to ask him to change some things which he did. However, he told me he was going to have to charge me more than the agreed price for the tattoo. His reasoning was he made the design extra large so he could charge me more, even though it was the size I originally asked for. He also said since he had to make changes to the design (one that was clearly not finished and polished) he had to charge me more as well. The only changes were a few extra lines and some shading. Our communications weren’t good at this point as he was very defensive and upset that I didn’t want to pay a higher price for his work because it is “a higher level of quality and detail”. There was some passive aggressiveness as well, which I did not appreciate. He then proceeded to tell me he would have to make the tattoo much smaller to honor the original price. I did not want it smaller, so I opted to not get the tattoo. Totally unprofessional and some shady sales tactics going on here, typical bait and switch scheme. I was able to get $20 of the deposit back and he kept the other $20 for the design he made. I could care less about $20 but it’s the principle of the matter. There was no need for aggressive behavior, so I knew I could never trust this guy to give me a tattoo. Also going back on your word and trying to upcharge for it was absurd. If he would have just been upfront about everything and asked for more at the start I would have paid it. Also why charge for a design? So if I didn’t like that design he would keep charging me more $ for more designs? I can’t speak for the other artists at this shop, but I would definitely be careful dealing with Jose. Make sure you have a clear understanding of what he is charging you for before you make any sort of deal with him. The worst part is I can see these guys do great work there, I would have loved to get tattoos from any of them. But after the way I was treated I will have to take my business elsewhere.

Art of ink is a fantastic tattoo studio. My girlfriend and I came. We had a walk in appointment. Pete and John John were both wonderful guys. They both liked our pieces and did a great job bringing them to life on our body. I highly recommend. This is the greatest shop you will come to in El Paso. Great pricing for amazing artwork.

Ive been tattooed by both john john and tattoo giant and theyre both great and my favorite artists. Its a very comforting and cozy atmosphere and im 100% making the drive over here everytime i have a new tattoo idea :)

Had a walk-in appointment for a tongue piercing and immediately felt welcomed. All the staff were super kind and made me feel comfortable. Got pierced by Mel and she was super sweet and paciente, even offered me to drink. Everything was very well sanitized and you can tell they care about their customers. Will recommend the place to my friends:)

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SHOP! So elegant and classy. background music shuffle was phenomenal! and my tattoo artist hisself, Pete, was so comforting and professional! i called around noon and he fit me in same day for not only one tattoo but two! incredible line work, definitely coming back here for any other tattoos i decide to get! 20/10 would recommend to anyone looking for clean work and a clean attitude ! been in el paso for 4 years, tatted by multiple people in multiple shops and i have to say this one tops them all! This tattoo shop is exactly what the Westside needed!!! Its cleanliness and up scale environment definitely doesnt feel like your typical tattoo shop. As for the artists, they were very professional and informative during my consultation. I will be recommending this shop to everyone!

I went to their grand opening and it was super nice. The owner Pete and his artist have a great had and good prices. Wouldn’t recommend anywhere else! They also do piercings for a really good pricing!
