I have been trusting Michael with my body canvas for over a decade. During that time I have not only received top quality care, guidance and advice, but I have been given beautiful pieces of art, sown of his own soul. Over the ten years , I have Followed Michaels aftercare directions to a t And I have also Had several experiences where I did absolutely nothing that he told me to do Yet the tattoos heal perfectly each and every Single time. The reason why I sought him out of the immediate area and farther reaching area than most is because he is not a tattoo artist. He is an artist that tattoos. And that is the difference between him and everyone else. This shop remains pristine. I have never Seen it anything but immaculate.. I trust him with my health with my familys health. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for more than just a drunk tattoo tale.I have to add this in as I found myself disturbed by a previous comment made. I find it disturbing and disrespectful That 1 would have the audacity to implie.The artist was impaired. Number one, if 1 was to assume their artist was impaired, why would they go ahead with a tattoo in the first place? And then leave a tip? In my years of experience I have found People that have tattoos that struggle to heal correctly are usually on drugs.

I got the most simple tattoo of a outline of a pelican. Five days later it looks horrible. It scabbed and pretty much disappeared. I have plenty of experience taking care of tattoos. I have had 20 different tattoos over my life. It’s red and most of the ink didn’t take. The only thing good from my experience was he had a cool dog. The owner acted like he was coming down from a three day meth binge. Please don’t let this guy touch your skin

I can’t say enough wonderful things. My daughter was only in town for a few days and wanted a memorial tattoo and it was her first tattoo. Before we ever came he went over things to do before and made sure he had the tattoo exactly how she wanted it. Made sure she was on the whole time talk to use to whole time. Amazing amazing amazing!!!!!

I got a spine tattoo today. He was quick and efficient. I gave him the general design and he made it from a 1 dimensional boring tattoo to this gorgeous 3 dimensional tattoo that he made his own with his creative talent. He’s a great guy and an awesome tattoo artist. I plan on coming back to him in the future.

Normally doesnt accept walk ins and made an exception for me and my friend traveling , made us feel super comfortable! The tattoos ended up being super cute too ! definitely going to return

Michael is just an amazing artist. He has done 3 cover ups for me and a superb job. Hes a talent to be reckon with. He knew what I wanted and ran with it. Hes created 3 of the pieces to my surprise. I was amazingly impressed by his work. My tattoos have healed wonderfully. Hes the MAN.

Owner was very nice easy to talk to and gave us a great experience plus he has a pretty dope dog that I got to love on 10/10 would recommend

I was visiting englewood on vacation and my 4 year old daughter decided she wanted her ears pierced. Mary responded to me quickly and was so kind and friendly to speak with. They were able to get an appointment for my daughter within a couple hours.Michael is extremely skilled and talented and takes his work seriously. He is gentle and kind. I really enjoyed our conversation and could tell he is an honest, open hearted person. My daughter said she didn’t even feel her ears being pierced at all. He put on her favorite song and she sat there calmly while he explained everything to us. Everything was clean and he described the aftercare to us thoroughly as well. I’m so happy with our experience and next time we are in the area, I will stop by for my first tattoo! Thanks again so much, Michael!

If you want the best in every aspect of a tattoo Michael is definitely your guy. I had a Polynesian tattoo that was in need of refreshing and some extension design ideas. His artistic and creative talent blew me away. His skill and passion for what he does shows over and over every time I go back. Have to also mentioned his Ninja like hands when he works. Ive known Michael since probably 2002, and the work I have from even that far back is still the most complimented on ink that I have. Bold lines and bright colors last longer over time. Man was he right. I left the state for a few years, traveled, gathered some ink from other artists, and recently found him again. Today my wife and I drove 2 hours to see him for a cover-up and for the 1st sitting on finishing my sleeve. His current shop is the cleanest, most professional, and has the greatest atmosphere of ANY shop Ive been in. Im so glad to be back in touch and proud to shout him out as my artist again. You will not regret visiting Michael!

I came in today to have a new nose piercing put in. I had mine originally pierced at a different shop. The ring fell out and when I went in today he told me they put the wrong type of ring in causing it to heal improperly and make it difficult to put in the correct ring for the piercing. He was able to get the new ring in for me and steps to help re heal the piercing! I respect his honesty and advice. Will be coming back for more piercings and hopefully my first tattoo soon 🙂

Michael is an amazing artist, who not only excels at his craft, but takes the time to explain what he is doing and does it right. He got eye-popping color on my dark skin which no-one else has been able to do. I highly recommend The Original Big Daddy Tattoo!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Michael went above and beyond for this tattoo. Im so beyond happy and will have to fly back to Florida for my next tattoo as he puts all my others to shame. Ive never met another artist more passionate and loving what he does before. So pleased!

I’d promised myself that when I found artwork that resonated with me I’d finally get ink.Upon arriving at Michael’s shop I was immediately struck by how warm his wife is and particularly the ease at which I was guided, as a first timer, through the process. I completely understood what was required of me as a client, the process, and even discussed the science behind Michaels methods.I was immediately at ease. The atmosphere is homey, yet when I looked I saw that Micheals work space and equipment were immaculately clean. Any residual jitters I was experiencing were immediately quieted.Michael and his wife listened intently as we discussed my new tatto. His love for his art exudes from him and as I looked at the photos of his work I was struck by the precision demonstrated in each piece. Fantastic experience! His shop is very clean and he takes pride in how clean and organized he keeps it. His work is all originally his. If you take him an idea, he will hand draw it. Amazing. Best experience Ive had and I have several tattoos. I would highly recommend.

I cant say enough about how happy I am with the tattoo Michael did for me! He took what I brought and listened to what I said and brought to life exactly what I wanted! The piece has so many meanings to me and each detail is just as important as the others and he did an awesome job showing each detail the way I pictured it! It was a chest piece BUT i didnt want it centered. I wanted it more over my heart. Because its representative of the people and animals that I give my whole heart to. And a very difficult time in my life that I overcame thanks to them. He rembered that even though I only mentioned it once. The shop was very clean, everything was very professional and he was on time and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I will go to him for all future tattoos bc now I know im going to be leaving with what I want.
