The Bees Nest Tattoo and Art Studio

These ladies are so fun to be around. Tanna has such a beautiful and unique art style, which happens to be perfect for me! I will continue to travel to see her.

I LOVE the Bees Nest, I just moved and I will probably fly back for more tattoos. The octopus is Tannas original art, the other bigger piece is Stephs, and Hannah added the watercolor to my smaller wrist piece. I constantly get asked who did my tattoos, and I couldnt recommend them more strongly.

I’ve been to several tattoo studios by now but Bee’s Nest has continued to be the standout best place!Their vibe is so incredibly unique from other places, if you walked in there you’d immediately get it. It’s not your typical rough and tumble, almost intimidating tattoo place but it’s a lot more low key, and I guess spiritual? is how I’d say.Another cool thing, it’s completely female owned and all of the tattoo artists and the piercer are women. Girl power!! Steph is my lady, and she is SO TALENTED. Just saying that she is an unbelievably skilled artist is only putting it lightly and not giving her the justice she deserves. She is truly in the right industry. She’s also just so nice and down to earth so you feel very comfortable from the get go.Steph’s section of the shop has a ton of her watercolor paintings hung up, and I usually just stare in awe at those most of my appointments because they’re awesome. Most of the artists have their own art hung up all around the shop which is super cool in my opinion.Just take a look at some of the work Steph’s done on me, and you should see just what I’m saying. When she worked on the gems on my arm, she used this special technology to make the gems black and white outlines, and she said she looks at them a specific way, in which she’s been trained, in order to bring them to life. It was just so fascinating to me and I know I can trust her with anything. She’s done half of my tattoos and I’ll keep going to her as long as I am able or anytime I’m in town.She’s great at designing ink as well. I had an idea for a tattoo I really wanted but wasn’t quite sure how to make it all come together. I told her what I was thinking and she helped turn it into an amazing tat that I get tons of compliments on. I really can’t say enough good things about Steph and all the rest of the gals at Bee’s Nest. If the other women aren’t tattooing they’ll come say hi during my appointments a lot and chat and they are all just so sweet and welcoming. I love this place!

This is an awesome place to get some ink. All of the artists here are amazing artists! Steph has done killer work on my hands twice now.

These ladies do an amazing job of working alongside you to take your tattoo vision and make it into a beautiful piece of artwork. Ive been there multiple times for tattoos and piercings, and Ill keep going back!!

I have had my daith, flat, and septum pierced by Brittany and each piercing has been a fantastic experience. She is super nice and accommodating, and she does great work! I love all my jewelry pieces especially because they are anodized in-house to any color I’d like. The shop environment is also super cool and they have a good jewelry selection.

The shop is super inviting. The artwork is amazing. And the tattoo artist that I went to, Shelly, did an amazing job. She took something I had, made it amazing, and added onto it and made it all flow together so nicely. I will definitely be going back.

Tanna was very responsive with communication, and created a piece that was perfect. She was very talented and easy to work with.

I got my second lobe piercings with Brittany and it was a great experience! She definitely makes you feel at ease and is a total pro. The piercing was less painful and less tender than when I got my first lobe piercings with a “gun”. Despite having previous piercings, she was sure to review aftercare with me.Highly recommend!

Hannah is the best tattoo artist Ive ever had. Shes fun to talk to and does great work for a great price! I recommend everyone I know to Bees nest because all of the staff are so friendly and really listen to what you want on your body forever!

So amazing! Ive been driving all the way up to Fargo from the Twin Cities to get tattoos from Steph for years. Great vibes, better art! We collaborated on everything for my sleeve, making it more meaningful and unique. And besides being incredible artists, everyone there is down to earth cool and really fun to be around. Thats important when youre stuck in a chair for hours getting inked!

Brittany is a great piercer! I was very picky with who I chose to do my double piercings & Im so glad I chose brittany. The placement is perfect and they healed up nicely. She was able to answer my (hundreds) of questions & I couldn’t be happier! Their shop was very clean, staff was nice & Ill definitely be going to the Bees Nest for future piercings! I tried getting in contact with one of the artists online and I was sent an automatic email. In the email it said it would be better to text to get faster service, so I did. That was last week. Still no reply. Not the best first impression. If they contact me at some point Ill update this review.UPDATE: Owners response was understandable and polite but after another week of getting ghosted I dont believe a word of it.

Absolutely fantastic place to get some work done. Fun atmosphere, all the artists seem very talented. I personally got some freehand work from Hannah and am thrilled. Super on point lines, creative, and looks crazy amazing!

Ive emailed everyone on the staff twice, the only person to return my email said she wouldnt tattoo me because the job wasnt expensive enough. Ive tried calling at least five times and havent gotten an answer. There is no option to leave a message. Completely unprofessional.

I had a tattoo done by Ricky a few months ago and I got an industrial piercing by Brittney yesterday. I absolutely love them both! I will definetly be back for more. Would recommend them to anyone! Super cool stuff to look at in the gnomes nook as well.

I got my first and (currently only) tattoo here on June 24th 2017! It was easy to email them (my artist was Tanna) and ask for a quote as well as book an appointment. I had already commissioned the piece I wanted tattooed from another artist. I was able to get an appointment very fast since a spot had opened up the next Saturday. It was very reasonably priced and very beautiful! Tanna was helpful and friendly! I wish I talked to her more while I was getting tattooed. I was a tiny bit nervous as for I am not usually great with pain, but I couldve fallen asleep during the lining process because it was SO therapeutic (the coloring & minimal shading on the other hand hurt a bit more! Also for reference the tattoo was done on my right thigh.)I wish I had given Tanna a much bigger tip because she deserved it! Whenever I decide to get another tattoo I will definitely be coming back here and giving a much much bigger tip than last time.

Will not be getting tattoos here. Falsely advertised for a special by saying first come first serve starting at noon, but actually let lots of people sign up before noon. Also, when my boyfriend and I arrived hoping to get a deal on a tattoo that would be meaningful to us, we stood in the entry way for almost 10 minutes without being helped.

Tanna is the talented artist that is helping me recreate my personality through artwork. Everyone there is awesome and I will continue to pursue my body ink through the Bees Nest.
