Zion Tattooing & Piercing

I had a wonderful first experience at Zion! I went in to treat myself and get three piercings and decided to have the apprentice do it (I believe her name was Maddie but I’m awful at remember names so i apologize!) she was sooo sweet and helpful through everything. This isn’t my first piercings and use to go to St Sabrina’s before they closed and now I wish I went here because I loved Zion even more! This was her first Rook piercing but she made me feel so comfortable, safe, and cared for. The owner was there to double check the placing of everything with some helpful tips. It went quick and I enjoyed being there. She placed them perfectly! Their jewelry is so pretty. I went with the basic stuff for now to go easy on my budget but once these are healed I plan on getting some of the cuter pricier options. Their little care package was cute with little sayings and some tea and a chocolate. Just wonderful experience from beginning to end. I will 100% recommend Zion to friends and family. Also, love they aren’t in the middle of Minneapolis with impossible parking. Cherry on top.

Love my tattoo from Travis at Zion. He is great, intelligent and knows what he is doing and I trusted him completely in my tattoo of my beloved dog.The other thing about Zion is the atmosphere, they have done a great job of making it comfortable for all clients. It is modern, clean and calming. They have a TV for clients to help distract from the tattoo feeling if wanted. I highly recommend Travis and the artists at Zion.

Had an absolutely amazing and pleasurable experience with Nick. Communication was stellar, every step of the way he made sure i liked the design from start to finish, especially when we had to rework it because of the space on my forearm we had to fit it into.After being to a handful of tattoo parlors, Zion is by far the coziest and nicest, in the best way possible. I walked in and the environment felt like i was in someone’s home, not to mention how nice the bathroom is, if you go then you’ll know what i mean. Not to mention how sweet the accommodations are; any possible streaming service for music or entertainment (Hulu, Netflix, etc.) was at my disposal as a client. Though do not judge the place by looks alone, it make look fancier than other tattoo places in the south metro, but this does not translate to snobby or prudish staff- the people there are incredibly nice and inviting, artists and owners alike, whether this is your first tattoo or you’re a veteran, Zion is wholeheartedly worth checking out.I can truthfully say that i will be returning, and not just for my second fill in appointment, but most certainly for tattoos to come.As a side note, aftercare was probably the easiest experience I’ve had through the years, the products they used and/or recommended worked wonders for me and my ink.(First two photos were fresh, last is after about 2 weeks)

I have been a client for a few sessions now and all I can say is from the initial consult through changes upon changes and finally the needle therapy, the staff makes you feel like family. The experience is unlike any other shop! Anything from memorials to full sleeves to small tattoos very talented artists!! Looking forward to my next session with Travis!

Hands down the best tattoo and piercing place I’ve ever been too! I love the welcoming environment that has been provided and I felt so safe the whole time. A couple months ago Mandalynn did my septum piercing and I absolutely love it! She was so kind and talked me through the whole process. Today I got a pretty good size tattoo with Trav, as well as another session to finish it up in a couple weeks. Trav did such a good job! I couldn’t have asked for a better artist. Even when I got sick in the middle of my session he made sure I had everything I needed. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. 10/10!!!

Trav is the best, I have been wanting an arm sleeve for over ten years and have been waiting for the right artist. I was able to give Trav a few of my ideas and he was able to come up with a design that came out amazing. He is also a hard worker and when he books you for five hours he is working the whole time. His line work is perfection and I get compliments all day every day on his work. I cannot thank him enough for putting so much passion into his work.

I previously went to Zion for my first tattoo and Travis helped bring my favorite lyric to life! Recently I had gotten my second tattoo done with Nick and I am so pleased with how both have turned out! Both experiences were great, and I will definitely be back to Zion again soon!

I drive an hour and a half to Zion to be tattooed by Travis and let me tell you—it’s well worth it! I don’t think I could get tattooed by anyone else after going to Zion! The facility is beautiful, clean, and welcoming. There’s even a TV/access to Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+. Travis is kind, considerate, and gentle and does AMAZING work. I cannot recommend him enough. I had this tattoo in mind for the past 3 years and he created something better than I ever imagined! Even took into consideration my existing piece when creating it so it looks cohesive! I am so happy with my half sleeve Travis beautifully did. I was so happy to see he opened his own shop in Farmington after originally consulting with him years ago at his previous location in the cities. The shop is beautiful and not your average tattoo shop. It is so welcoming and all of the staff were lovely. Travis was very helpful with his ideas and bringing my inspo to life. He makes you feel at ease and and has a very comfortable environment. My healing went so smoothly, he is truly so talented. So many have asked where I got my work done and that speaks for itself.

Met with Trav for a consult and he was very open and honest about helping to put together a tattoo honoring my family. Scheduled two appointments to start and finish my tattoo. Could not be happier with the comfortable experience, incredibly kind artists, and quality of my tattoo. Trav was available to help me with questions regarding after care. Amazing experience all around.

Zion Tattoo is probably the nicest cleanest shop Ive ever seen. Travis is an amazing artist. The service was great. His lovely wife Mandalynn even asked me if I needed anything during my tattoo. I highly recommend this Tattoo Shop.

Nick is amazing! I went in for my first tattoo and he made me feel confident and safe. We had a consultation where he shared his knowledge and expertise with me and helped me decide on what my tattoo would look like. During the actual tattoo session I had a blast chatting with Nick and learning about his passion for art and tattooing. He explained what he was doing and why throughout the process so I would understand what was going on but more importantly, he was a lot of fun to chat with and I really enjoyed our conversation. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

Best experience! I got my ears pierced by Mandalynn she was great I felt super welcomed and comfortable. The space of the whole place was also just super comfortable and the way the place is decorated feels like an HGTV dream! Coming here definitely brought down my anxiety everyone was also just super nice. The whole aura of the place was the best. Definitely going back again for a tattoo at some point! Zion Tattooing and Piercing is the best tattoo establishment Ive ever been to. I have over 25 hours in the chair with Trav! Hes the only guy I go to due to both his artistic ability and overall character. Travis and his amazing wife Mandalynn are high quality humans who go the extra mile to welcome everyone who walks into their shop. I love when people are good at what they do and this is easy to see and feel as soon as you meet the Zion crew.

Mandalynn did a consultation for my daughter and made her feel very comfortable in making a decision about getting her ears pierced. I decided to get a piercing myself by her and she did an amazing job! After a couple of hours the pain was gone, no swelling or bleeding! Im absolutely satisfied with the service! I should also mention the shop is spotless and beautiful! Thank you so much! I will definitely be back for my next piercing!

Great first time experience with my Mom last summer for mother/daughter tattoos. Pitsy was great. Very professional and knowledgeable. High recommend. Im looking forward to going again this summer.

After thinking for a while about getting my nose pierced, I finally decided to do it. It took one quick look online for me to know that Zion felt right. Mandalynn and her apprentice were just perfect - friendly, professional, engaging and able to calm my nerves. The atmosphere in this shop is clean, comfortable and I was really blessed by the whole experience. Id give more stars if I could. It was worth the drive out to Farmington!

I had a great experience here. Travis helped me with a cover up and did an incredible job. He is an expert at his craft. The team at Zion are very kind and it is a friendly vibe in the shop. Ive been in shops that have had negative attitudes. These folks keep it positive. I appreciate that.

My wife and I have been going to Travis on a regular basis since 2018. I have a degree and a professional background in art/graphic design, so I was very particular about who would be applying my body art.Prior to working with Travis, we did extensive research on tattoo artists in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, including going to a tattoo convention of local and national artists. Ultimately, we felt the quality of his work was top notch and met our expectations.Needless to say, the whole experience to date has been an awesome journey. Travis and I spend a lot of time designing and talking through our vision to make sure we get it done right. I really value his input and creativity to see how we can challenge ourselves to take it to the next level. To me, thats the best part of this process. I also appreciate his passion and dedication to improving his craft.In addition, the studio is very well done. It provides a great first impression. The look, vibe, and feel is beautiful and relaxing. Travis wife, Mandalynn, clearly has a talent in fashion and design. The studio is also very clean and sterile, which was another thing that was very important to us.Overall, you wont be disappointed. We definitely look forward to our ongoing journey for years to come.

Not only are Amanda and Travis incredibly talented, but this shop is gorgeous. This is not your typical tattoo and piercing shop. This is a classy and beautiful space. The jewelry that they carry is worth the trip from the cities alone. Travis will absolutely blow you away with what he is able to accomplish, he is truly one of the most gifted artist I know. And Amanda will make you feel like youre about to get a massage instead of a piercing. Such a soothing environment. I just cant recommend Zion enough. Just stop in, youll see what I mean.

Travis did an incredible job on the sunflower themed memorial tattoo for my horse. The sunflowers are absolutely stunning. Im over the moon pleased with my tattoo and will definitely be coming back to Travis for any future tattoos. I would highly recommend Zion Tattoo and Travis to anyone.

Such an awesome, friendly staff and very clean office! I loved everything about my experience here! They were quick to respond and get me on the schedule, and Travis was so nice and accommodating to my wants and needs of my design. Got a Medusa piercing. It looks amazing and the experience was great! She was very patient and made sure that I was okay the whole time. She made sure to explain in detail everything I needed to know about getting the piercing and aftercare. They also sent me home with the cutest care package!! Just got a beautiful tattoo from Pittsy. The space is beautiful! Not what I imagined a tattoo parlor should look like. Zen music and great atmosphere. Pittsy made me feel comfortable immediately and made sure I was doing ok throughout the entire process. We took my nine year old daughter to get her ears pierced for the very first time this past Saturday. She was incredibly nervous and Mandalynn was amazing with her! She helped her calm down with her breathing and letting her know how brave and powerful she was. The studio was beautiful, clean and peaceful. My sister and I came in to have Pittsy do our tattoos which was writing done in our parents handwriting. He made sure everything was perfect before tattooing and he was a blast to hang out with!! Mandalynn did an ear piercing for me and it went very smoothly. She clearly explained the process beforehand and gave excellent instructions regarding aftercare, even providing saline spray to use along with a couple of little treats. Very professional and extremely competent.

Hi there!If you are here, it’s probably because you are looking for a reason to doubt or confirm your thoughts about Zion. That’s cool, I’m just like you! I typically need affirmation before I jump into something serious such as a tattoo. Stick with me, as this review is comprehensive and as accurate as my judge of character and wants for service can get.Stage one: Design your tattoo.You probably have some idea as to what you want for your tattoo, right? I know I did. I actually had an existing tattoo that I wanted touched up along with a little new ink. I was excited to say the least. I was also a bit nervous. “How do I know if the artist is going to jive with me?” I thought.First impression of the design consult was truly not what I was expecting. 30 minutes to feel respected, listened to and supported in my ideas is what I walked away with. I had no less than 15 different ideas of what I wanted. A word vomit of wants and wishes is what comes to mind. Travis listened to the whole thing. Not to mention he still sounded interested! Not typical from what I know of tattoo world, right !?Stage two: First session:I walked in feeling like a rookie. I felt like my own insecurities almost made me back out. “Am I ready for this?” I thought. I opened the door to the most amazing smiles and greetings from both the front desk secretary and Travis’s wife, Mandalynn. Instantly at ease. “Okay, i can do this” I thought to myself. I walked back to the tattoo room where Travis and I sat down. This is where you realize Zion is not your typical tattoo shop. If you’re looking for a grunge shop, rocking death metal with photos of naked women on the walls, this is probably not the place for you. Still with me? Okay, good!Travis got to work on touching up my existing tattoo I knew needed some serious help. I mean, this was a tattoo that local shops said “Dude this is terrible” and “I’m not sure how we can fix it.” I. Was. Nervous.Here’s the thing, Travis knocked it out in what felt like minutes! “I was instantly filled with the affirmation of choosing the right shop I thought. “He really did it” I said to myself. He made what was once told unfixable, beautiful again. I felt respected, listened to and supported in what I wanted.If you have made it this far, you’re in it for the long haul, you rock! So here’s where Zion elevated themselves for me:Sessions 1-4: fellowship.Don’t freak out, Travis isn’t going to throw a bible at you, but if you’re like me and love Jesus, get ready for the most amazing experience!I’m not a man who is walking around ringing doorbells, but I will entertain talks about Jesus whenever they arise. I have been through some stuff in my life that makes me a believer in Christ and so has Travis. We instantly bonded over this. I mean seriously, you are in a chair for hours so might as well talk about something right!? I’ll let you decide what you want to talk about but for me, the talks I had over multiple sessions within the walls of Zion filled my cup up.Okay, thank you for reading this far. Here is my conclusion of what I call;The final session:You’ve made it! By now your tattoo (sleeve in my case) is almost complete. Your parents, friends, family m, coworkers have already praised Travis’s work and skill set. You should feel pretty damn proud of the choice you’ve made. I know I did.Travis put his final touches on what started as a flawed canvas he adopted. He shined the edges, buffed the paint and put his stamp of approval on this amazing journey. Have you ever felt such a connection to people that you feel sad when you left their presence? That’s what I have with Zion. Remember when I said I felt like a rookie day one? Now I feel as if I’m truly family. I couldn’t be more happy.I sat in that tattoo chair for over 16 hours. I watched so many people enter those front doors. Not a single one of them lacked a smile. The services Zion provides, the professional and accepting atmosphere, tattoo quality, fellowship and so much more are my reasons why I chose Zion. You will love it there

My daughter wanted to get mom/daughter tattoos when she turned 18. She wanted something that was meaningful to both of us but not matchy matchy. Pittsy did an AMAZING job from hearing her concepts to creating the design to doing a wonderful tattoo. It was safe, supportive, comfortable and fun. We would definitely go back!!!

Very upscale clean atmosphere as soon as you walk in. Easy conversations with Mandalynn during the process. Shes great! Got my very first face piercing here, a nose piercing. Smooth healing process. A month later, came back to get an eyebrow piercing. Love the way they both look. So far so good!

I brought my 9 year old daughter here to get her ears pierced. Mandalyn did an amazing job of helping her get relaxed and explained very single thing she was doing. My daughter loved her experience here and I loved watching it! Would absolutely recommend this place to others!

I stopped by & inquired about piercings. The owner(Tattoist artist) was very friendly. 1st Tatt shop Ive ever seen, such as this one. The entry area doesnt look like a tattoo shop! But, it is very clean, decorated with a couple of jewelry type displays & lit up.I would have to guess the back where one would go for their tattoo would look like a tattoo shop.Makes you curious... check out their website for more info... ✌🏻

I have been going to Travis for a a little over a year now for very large and also difficult pieces. All I can say is that I will be a lifelong customer. Besides being extremely professional and a great guy, Travis is very very talented and dedicated to his work. Also, the space is gorgeous!!! Thank you Travis!!

Currently live in Texas but travel to Minnesota so Travis can continue to tattoo me, Trav always has a clean environment, amazing hospitality , great conversation but most importantly, Travis puts so much care and fine detail into his work. 5 stars is underrating the work that Travis and Amanda do.

I did not appreciate the pushiness to steer me into using another artist than requested. I called asking simple questions of how far out are you booking and spent 10 minutes getting the run around.

Disappointed I drove to this shop to see what they had for jewelry. Google said they were open and the door was open lights were on but I was told they were closed and the piercer wasn’t there so I couldn’t buy anything. I get that the piercer owns the jewelry and it can’t be sold without them that’s how a lot of shops work Gave 2 stars because Shop looked nice inside.
