Wonderful experience! Making an appointment was easy. They were able to get us the appointment time we needed.Highly professional. Emailed them our designs and they responded immediately.Also did a reminder call the day of the appointment.When we got there, they worked with us on size and other details we wanted.They were very consistent to use sanitary practices. And their bathroom and the shop were spotless.Prices are slightly above some other shops, but the experience was well worth it. Their work was impeccable!

I got my first tattoo, my nose, and cartilage pierced. I love everyone who works here, I felt very comfortable and everyone was so so cool. It was super clean environment and everything was pretty quick. I would 100% recommend this place to anybody, I love it. I will definitely be back for more tattoos. Sabrina and Tommy were awesome!

My daughter and I were in there earlier today for tattoos and KJ was amazing. It’s clean, everyone is friendly, our tattoos are perfect and he was fun to hang with while he worked. I would recommend him to anyone.

Amazing shop! The owners are so accommodating. Kevin has done two of my tattoos and is great. I just had a tattoo done by Tommy with a large group. They got us in and we were all very happy with our tattoos!

I’ve gone to a lot of different places for my piercings but nowhere will ever live up to tattoo 13. i’ve gotten most of my piercings done there by sabrina, she is so straight forward and never sugarcoats what i need to hear while also being so gentle and kind at the same time. i also got my first tattoo here done by gracie who was again just very kind, communicative and made me feel like a friend while i was in her space. and lastly the receptionist who unfortunately i wasn’t able to catch her name, is always so kind and makes me feel so welcome the second i walk into the shop! if i could recommend you to go anywhere for anything it would be here!

A couple of my friends and I went Saturday, they got piercings from KJ, he was super nice and professional. My friends love their piercings!He gave me a quote on a lower back tattoo I wanted, he didn’t have time to do it Saturday so I scheduled an appointment to come back on Wednesday I scheduled the appointment with Tommy bc KJ was booked and he assured me that Tommy was great. The tattoo that I wanted was very simple so I agreed, I went to my appointment today and Tommy did not disappoint he was very nice and made me comfortable my entire appointment, I was nervous and he checked on me through the whole process. It was a very quick and easy tattoo and I am obsessed! After looking at more of his work, and feeling so comfortable with him I’ve decided that I’m going to be booking another appointment for a shoulder tattoo in the next few weeks. 10/10 experience!

KJ is simply the best. Patient, kind, and talented - you really can’t ask for more out of an artist. I would highly recommend KJ or any member of his star team to bring your tattoo dreams to life!

Got a piercing done here today, and the shop was both professional and clean. The girl working the front desk was an absolute sweetheart and does her job so well. Definitely recommend going here for a piercing!

This place is phenomenal! Everyone is SO friendly and welcoming. They are very accommodating when scheduling appointments. Gracie did matching tattoos for me and my 18 year old son. It was his first tattoo and she made sure he was comfortable the whole time. They came out awesome and exactly what we wanted! We both get compliments ALL the time. Tonight we went in and Shannon did our tattoos. Once again they turned out absolutely perfect! I wouldnt go anywhere else and would trust any of their artists to do work on me and my family. They obviously have high standards! The place is super clean and sanitary. They may be a little pricey but you get what you pay for! Ive seen cheap tattoos and I rather pay a little extra for quality. My family and I will definitely be back soon and often! Thank you for everything!

Came here twice now for tattoos and piercings. Great atmosphere, very clean. The staff is very friendly and relaxed and they were very understanding of me needing to bring my kids with me and everyone was so nice to my kids as well. Will definitely be back for more work.

My brothers and I came in for matching tattoos and had a wonderful experience. Firstly, Kj and his brother were very kind and welcomed each one of us individually. Next, a multilingual staff member was able to proof the tattoo of an Arabic quote written by our grandma. She then created the stencil which was spot on to my grandmas writing. Lastly, Grace was our tattoo artist and gave us exactly what we envisioned. Her fine line skills are excellent and she was also very personable. Highly recommend this place!

Awesome place. My wife got a tattoo first then came back for piercing. Got two instead and an appointment for another tattoo. I am looking to finish my design and will go back for a sleeve. Great people. Super clean. Very much focused on using steril Tools and desinfecting everything. KJ did an amazing job with my tattoo! He was kind and listened very closely to what I wanted and came up with several sketches for me to choose from. He was then able to adapt the sketches to our final product, and was wonderful to talk to when I was actually getting the tattoo. All of the staff was also wonderful, especially Tommie who is very sweet. I highly recommend KJ and Tattoo13!

Wow, what an experience! I always say it’s not the mistake that was made but how it’s handled after. KJ is the epitome of caring about the people he services! After talking with the shop after getting a piercing that I was not satisfied with, he immediately made the situation right and I left happier than ever! Although I couldn’t get my septum re-pierced immediately, I was able to get another piercing that I wanted. I will definitely be back! Accountability is huge for me - and not a lot of people in the service industry have that. Tattoo 13 definitely does their best to take care of you. Thank you KJ again so much! One of the coolest people I’ve met!*for context*I got a septum done (not by KJ but another member of his team) but it wasn’t placed correctly (no big deal, stuff happens).

Clean, professional, and top-notch, Tattoo 13 is the premier tattoo shop in Metro Detroit. Sal did an incredible job with my side tattoo. He offers solid advice about what will look best in the long term, and takes the time to get a spectacular result. I have been going to tattoo 13 for the past 11 years. I got most of my tattoos done at tattoo 13 and I’m happy with all of them. Recently, I have been going to tattoo 13 for tattoo removal of a tattoo by another artist not affiliated with Tattoo 13. I’ve only had 3 treatments so far and my tattoo is nearly gone. KJ is so awesome and has amazing customer service. Overall very happy with this establishment and the staff.

Highly disappointed with the 3 ear piercings for which I paid about 250 dollars for titanium ear rings and piercing together. They did not yield the satisfied result Inspite of taking care of them every day. 2 of the piercings had to be closed out as they were infected very badly and had to be on antibiotics to reduce the swelling. It’s been a month and I still have bleeding with other piercings. Looks like needles were not sterilized which is horrible. Would never go back to them for any kind of service.

Another great experience! I went in today for double cartilage piercing & I had a great experience! Place is well kept and cleaned. Everyone was nice from the moment you walked in !Sabrina pierced me & my friend! I highly recommend her! She was so sweet, she talked to us the whole time, was personable, very gentle, also explained what she was doing before she did it, she helped me pick out the jewelry that fit best for my ear size and made sure I was ok with the placement, also made sure to explain how to clean them and after care and to follow up in three weeks. My dad passed away recently and we found a card he wrote that he signed I love you xx oo. My mom, sister, and I all wanted to get matching tattoos in his handwriting. KJ not only fit us in when he was booked up because of our circumstances, he did all three of our tattoos and they are a perfect copy of my dads writing. He did an amazing job. They stay very calm and kind, which helped make the experiences less anxious. They were willing to go out of their way to fix my issues and will change your jewelry for you. This was my first experience getting a tattoo... so naturally I was very nervous. I came in as a walk-in and they were very hospitable and nice and answered all the questions I had beforehand. Got my first tattoo and I cant say enough good things about KJ and Sabrina! My fiance has multiple tattoos, and we were both incredibly impressed with both the quality of the service and the tattoos themselves. Everything about the experience was fantastic.The only negative reviews here are about price, and those people are delusional. For the quality of the work I would say that its a bargain. If youre serious about getting a good tattoo that youll be happy with for life, you have to be willing to pay for the expertise of the artist doing the work. Skip out on a couple drinks at the bar, invest in quality, and youll be happier overall for it!We got fine line art (written script) on our wrist, and were incredibly impressed with the results. KJ was fantastic to work with and helped us feel great though the entire process. Id happily come back for more tattoos!

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Very impressed with KJ! The shop is so clean, I thought he just opened up. Been in business there for 10 years! I came in with my niece, got our ears pierced and we didnt even flinch. He is so smooth and quick. Love his technique, personality and shop! I’m visiting from out of town and my best friend and I were looking to get some work done. We drove past tattoo 13 and figured let’s see if they have any openings. Wonderful shop. Everyone working there is really friendly. The work they do is great and it’s very clean. KJ was our artist and he did a phenomenal job. Went in today for tragus and 3rd lobe piercings on both ears and I had the pleasure of having Sabrin pierce me, she was so sweet and so kind to me right off the bat 💗 she talked to me the whole time, was so gentle, so chill, explained what she was doing before she did it, helped me pick out the jewelry too, and explained how to clean them and after care. Even before going in, I’d called and they’d answered all of my questions. The place is spotless, well kept, awesome customer service, Sabrin was just amazing!!! Seriously, by far the best place I’ve been to so far for piercings. Walked out of there really happy, will be going back soon! 💗💗💗

I called up here yesterday to ask if I could come in to get my septum pierced or if I had to make an appt. Sabrina was very nice and told me to come on in! When I got there I was quickly greeted at the door and she knew exactly who I was when I told her I was the one who called. She had me fill out some paperwork and got me right in the back to prep me for my piercing. She was very nice and easy to have conversation with which is important because I don’t want to feel awkward while getting a piercing. Sabrina was extremely quick and steady and did a great job! I was in and out of there within 15-20 minutes! I was amazed and absolutely love my septum! I will definitely recommend this place to people and I will be back for more piercings!

My sister and I called 30 min prior to coming as asked and was told to come in. I was getting a septum and she was getting a regular nose piercing. We drove 26 min because we seen they were rated one of the best in Michigan. When we got there we filled out paperwork they copied our ID’s. As we are browsing through earring selections asking questions for several minutes the piercer informed the the lady at the front that she didn’t have enough clamps to do our piercings and that it would take 2hrs for sterilization and asked if we could come back another day. Disappointed that they wasted our time and gas driving almost a half hour for something that could’ve been communicated over the phone. Unprofessional and bad for business.

I was in today to get replacement front helix and cartilage jewlery. This is the second time I have needed them in an emergency situation when my usual shop (Chroma) was not able to assist and I am so grateful they were able to help me. Always great service, the young lady at the front desk is very pleasant. I had to leave and return and they were very accomodating to me coming back later.

Tattoo 13 is the best shop around for piercings and tattoos. Ive been going here since they opened and the service is awesome. The shop is the cleanest Ive seen, and the artists are incredibly talented. Im a nurse, so Im constantly impressed at how sterile they are while prepping for piercings and tattoos.Ive gotten to know every person that works here, and they are such amazing people. They make sure youre comfortable and have everything you need before, during, and after your piercing/tattoo. They treat you like family from the minute you walk in. I always recommend this place to my family and friends.

Hands down the best experience Ive ever had in a tattoo shop. Weve been twice, once for a piercing and then came back for a tattoo. I arrived at 4pm, showed KJ my idea and within 1 hour he designed my tattoo and completed it. Very comfortable setting. Great work and great conversation. Ive never had a tattoo heal so quickly with literally no redness or swelling. Totally impressed!!!

Worse experience ever. I really don’t recommend anyone to come to this place for piercings. It was not first time getting my nose pierced. I told the lady Sabrina after the marking it is too high and she kept saying trust me it will look good as it was my first piercing I trusted her BIG MISTAKE. Now all my friends are telling me it’s too high. I’m so disappointed. Ruined my nose. Now I have to get it removed and wait till it heal and then get a new one. Like seriously paying $120 for this horrible work and high mark and hole on my nose for months till it heal. I was so excited for my first piercing and now I’m so sad. Pathetic work. This is literally my first google review as I’m really upset I wanted everyone to Know not worth the pain and money. I wish I could give zero star as they don’t even deserve one star.

This place is very clean and the people who work there are very nice. What more could you want? I went here with my mother and she got a tattoo of a simple cross on her wrist and a tattoo on her face to make her mole more visible. I got my second piercings from here and they always use new needles and no guns whatsoever! I recommend anyone who wants to get a tattoo or a piercing from here! I drove about a half hour from my house to here because of such good reviews on here and also from my friends. Absolutely loved it!

Only place I ever go for tattoos and piercings. Kevin, the piercer always takes his time and makes sure that youre extra clean for the piercing and also makes sure that you feel comfortable. He never rushes it, I love my piercings! Also, my tattoos were done with just as much care. Theyre not fading and still look very clean, I get compliments on them all the time. I love this place.

This is such an amazing shop! Ive had nothing but great experiences when I come in. I went in for a naval piercing and its healing perfectly. When I went in I also had an infected forward helix from another shop, Kevin immediately took a look at it and helped me save the piercing. KJ is who did my tattoo. It was a fairly simplistic tattoo but it looks so fresh and amazing. I was digging the atmosphere of Tattoo 13, the staff was super laid back, very chill and quite accommodating. Good pricing. I asked about a touch up for a previous tattoo and KJ made sure I knew one of the touch ups was not his forte. That was reassuring as in, he didnt try and just get the sale. I will definitely be going back in the near future. As far as the place itself, it was very clean, very up-kept. There is not a single thing I could think of to mark down this review.

KJ has came a very long way. The studio has cool newer feature. I got my first ever tattoo here and recently came back first time having a lady artist.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! I had Grace tattoo me and I’ve had a few done before but I’m always anxious and she took her time and was the sweetest girl ever. She walks you through everything and is absolutely amazing. Highly recommend this place and highly recommend her!!!!

Kevin, the owner, is all about customer service and was so happy to help me feel more comfortable there. He was great to talk to, and was all open ears about my experience and wanting to make it better. As for artists, I highly recommend Chris. His work is clean and he is extremely easy to get along with. Ill definitely be going back again :)

When I was getting my first tattoo I was nervous but they made me feel at home. Everything is so neat and clean. I also love how they use disposable needles. Ive gotten three tattoos & a piercing here. I will always come to Tattoo 13 and will recommend this place to anyone. Kevin and Shane are the coolest guys I know.

I went here with three of my friends to get piercings. KJ was great! He was very personable and we were all happy with our piercing experiences. He explained aftercare well and when one of my friends was concerned after sleeping on her piercing he promptly responded and gave advice.

Came in to get a ball screwed back on. The studio its self had a very cool vibe to it, and the people were very nice and friendly. Would come here for tattos or piercings in the future.

Best tattoo shop hands down! Got a tattoo on my ribcage that came out even better than I expected. The staff was really nice and very helpful through my whole process. Great tattoo shop!! Professional, clean, and fun atmosphere. My first two piercings (tragus and belly buttoned) turned out great and healed fast. Decided to go back today for nipple piercings, and I cant express how much I love them and how smoothly the process went. As well its a fair price and I do not feel like I am being over charged.

Tattoo 13 is wonderful!! KJ treats his customers like family. He helped clean up piercings that were infected from other places and even created a custom piece for my industrial! I have been coming here for about 9 years and have never been disappointed. KJ has always been amazing...and sincerely speaks with you (and remembers!)Today, I had Shane again...this was not my first with Shane. He is ALWAYS amazing! Not only do I enjoy talking with him (especially about music...a few of my tats are music related), his touch is perfect. One of the best tattoo shops I have ever been to. They were extremely professional, and they gave me the best tattoo I have ever got in my life. They made me the most amazing tattoo ever, it was a portrait of Mother Mary, and everything was just perfect. Pre tattoo, when I went in for the first time to talk to them, I spoke with a guy (the owner) his name was Jay, he was very kind, and he made me feel at home! I made an appointment and when I arrived they were very professional and nice. Shannon did my tattoo, she was so wonderful to work with. I’m so happy with how my tattoo came out. I would definitely recommend this place.

Very clean and professional shop. Their piercer KJ was awesome! He fixed a piercing I had gotten elsewhere-although it was a painful fix (they had used the wrong gauge and I needed a larger bar put in), he did a wonderful job of engaging in conversation and therefore distracting me during the process. They recommended an aftercare product and even followed up a few weeks later to see how it was healing. Even though Ive moved out of state, I will go out of my way to continue coming here for any piercing needs when I am in Michigan.

Absolutely loved this place! KJ is awesome, he really made my tattoo experience one to remember. A lot of owners dont take that much care for there customers but he defiantly does! Even tho he wasnt doing my tattoo he walked me through the entire process. Also the place is supper clean! Which is the first thing I look for (how to tell a place is clean,check the bathroom). Greg was the one who did my tattoo and he did an amazing job. Lol I was supper scared but he finished really fast made the process really easy for me. This place is a go to!! Waited two weeks to write a review, to ensure my piercings loved Sabrine as much as I did..all that & more😌 I have sensitive skin, so called around for all titanium jewelry-score. Had been thinking about getting my nipples pierced, she talked me into it & I don’t regret it even a little-score. She popped earrings back through my recently, slightly closed holes for free, and cut me a deal on my belly button that she had to force back through. And my nose ring is in the perfect spot. Nothing but great things to say. Told me to come back if there were any issues at all & she’d make it right. 😊 Highly recommend!

Overall pretty satisfied with my experience here! i’d never been to a tattoo parlor or a professional piercing shop so i was a bit intimidated, but everyone working here was pretty chill. sabreen was my piercer and she made me feel comfortable as i was getting my first cartilage piercing, and although i don’t know how exactly piercings should be done / how hygiene is supposed to be maintained at these places but i’ve had my piercings for two weeks and i haven’t had any issues with infection so yay?? just make sure to use saline spray everyday to help your piercings heal. i got a pair of earlobe piercings (seconds) which cost $70 including jewelry, and a helix piercing which cost $60 including jewelry (and + tip). also, although they’re pretty popular it was surprisingly easy for me to book an appointment - they just told me to call about half an hour before getting there to make sure an artist was available, so that’s what i did. overall good experience!

KJ does amazing work! He took a tattoo I was embarrassed to show off and made it a beautiful piece of art!! Could not recommend him or tattoo 13 enough!!

Im not local to the area, but I would absolutely go out of my way to visit Tattoo 13 again. A friend and I went into this shop on a day where they were clearly busy, but Kevin and Chris went above and beyond to accommodate us without rushing any of their other work. As soon as you walk in, it becomes very apparent that this shop is run by friendly, respectable, talented professionals who take pride in the work they do. Thanks guys and I cant wait to come back!

A couple things to know:A+ in cleanliness.They charge you $20 for backing out...Its $85 per piercing$150 if you want titanium or goldI really liked girl at the counter. She was super cool and made my group of 4 very comfortable. Unfortunately she was not going to be the one to pierce our ears and when two of us went to the back to get it done. The man going to do it unfortunately did not respond well when one of us said she wasnt comfortable and was shaking so bad and said she didnt want to get it done the guys reaction was are you serious???The rest of us were still gonna get it done untill they were going to charge us $20 because our friend left. This is upsetting because the lady at the counter kept saying that there was no pressure. I understand we took up 30 minutes of your time but just tell us ahead of time that we are pressured and if we leave its gonna be $20 a piercing.We all ended up leaving and not paying anything because service was not given and we arent going to pay for nothing. Just over all disappointing.

I got my belly button pierced and i was never given the option between other rings, only a ring with a jewel on it. I should’ve done my research before then i would’ve known you’re not supposed to pierce with any type of jewels! it was extremely over priced for such a simple piercing ($75) the piercer himself was nice, but didnt sterilize the ring that was used on me. I would go somewhere where they treat their customers better next time!

This place has a really great vibe. They know what they are doing and the location is so easy to get to. Ive gotten a few piercings here and so has my husband. Excited to see how they do with tattoos. Thanks for always being so straightforward and real. We love you guys!

Got a tattoo with my brother the past week, and Ive heard from friends that they give some bad ass tattoos. I wanted to make sure that they werent just saying that, so I went on their Instagram page and I saw their work and it was amazing. I went and spoke to Jay who was very kind and treated me like family right when I walked in! I still wanted to see their tattoos in the shop & see how they looked and I wanted to speak with an artist to get it done. I ended up speaking with Chris, I showed him the cross I really wanted to get on my arm, and I said I wanted it done just the way it has it in the picture with some script under it! I trusted him as my artist because of his obvious talent, he was very nice! After the tattoo, I looked into the mirror & fell in love with it. It was a flawless tattoo.. I am so happy with the service and the hospitality. This was the third shop I checked out!! I made the right choice with Tattoo 13!!!!!!!!! Thanks boys!

Ive contemplated getting a tattoo for a long time but I finally pushed myself when my sister made an appointment with Tat2 13. While she was getting hers done, the piercing guy KJ kindly helped me pick out font, sizing, and spacing then made it into a stencil. After he put it in place I made my decision right then & there that I for sure wanted a tattoo! I couldnt decide between two fonts but he was nice and patient enough to make two stencils and put them in place so that I can decide! And the tattoo artist Sal is just dope! The tattoo was absolutely perfect and I was surprised how quickly it was done. I would definitely recommend Tattoo 13 to others. Oh and not to mention, the day before getting the tattoo the owner J and I were talking and he was so nice he was telling me how he didnt want me to get one unless I was completely sure of it. Overall, nice people, clean shop, great service! I know Im definitely coming back!!

I recently had to have my ears pierced again. I tried a couple of jewelry stores but other than going to the mall it was difficult to find anyone. It usually required an appointment. That is when I found Tattoo 13 on google.They are available and efficient. The man who did the piercing was very kind and fast.Unfortunately within days I had to try and change to a smaller earring and in the process used the old holes and the new ones closed.I ran back in and Kevin fixed immediately. I got pierced here and it was really painless and clean, the healing was good! It is though really expensive, I paid 170 for the jewellery (titanium), the piercing and the tip. But you get what you pay for, the quality was really good so it’s expensive 🤷‍♀️

So, so happy I decided to go to Tattoo 13. I got my industrial and tragus piercing by KJ, who is hilarious, super nice, and genuine. Above all that, he was super patient with me and made sure I liked everything. He was super helpful, informative, basically-hes really fantastic at what he does. Everyone knows walking in to a Parlor is usually kinda ether awkward or sometimes your not greeted with respect. Im an upbeat type of guy that likes when someone is as passionate about something as myself, tattoo 13 is filled with good vibes, I can honestly say that the experience I had was fun and exciting... On top of all the good times and laughs the most important thing is obviously the quality of tattoo work. My Detroit skyline tattoo came out so detailed and well designed I love it.

My sister and I came in to get some piercings about 6 days ago with KJ. I was getting a double forward helix, she was getting a double forward helix and a tragus. We both have gotten tattoos done with him along with our other sister in the past in honor of our mother who passed away about 7 years ago and were super happy, so I was pleased to find out that KJ would be doing our first piercings at Tattoo 13. Piercings went great, cleanliness was not an issue at all, my only initial issue was that I was charged $240 for two piercings but again I was pumped that it was KJ so I didn’t really mind because i thought i was getting the best of the best. The past two days my sister and I have both experienced more swelling than usual, mine worse than hers, to the point where I noticed my earrings were actually being swallowed by my ear. Unfortunately I was out of town and couldn’t physically go into Tattoo 13 but I made sure to call and get some suggestions on what i should do to treat it since i felt like the earring that was put in was too short to accommodate the swelling. I’ve gotten many piercings over the years, 19 to be exact so I’m not inexperienced when it comes to the aftercare of piercings and I have never once had an issue with any other piercing. When I called the first time, Tattoo 13 was closed so I left a detailed voicemail as to who I was, when i came in, what my issue was and asked if someone could please get back to me. No one got back to me. An hour after open, I call again and speak to the front desk woman, I again tell her who I was, when I came in, what my issue was and that I actually had called and left a voicemail an hour and a half prior. She was decently nice but couldn’t give me any help on the issue I was having and told me to call back an hour later when KJ would be in. At this point my ear is throbbing and swallowing the ring even more, I’m out of town and had no other option but to find the nearest piercing shop and have my ear looked at. THANK GOD I did. The piercer I went to was APPALLED by KJs work and told me the earring he inserted into my ear was meant only for a completely healed ear and just as I had suspected was not big enough to allow the swelling after a fresh piercing. The earrings were so embedded into my ear that if I had waited another day I would have had to have them cut out of my ear. After I had the two earrings switched out and left the new piercing shop, I called Tattoo 13 and talked to the front desk woman again who handed me over to KJ. I explained my situation and how I was disappointed that for spending $240 on TWO piercings this was the out come, I also noted i was out of town and his first response was “well if you come in I can put a longer bar in”, obviously since he didn’t hear me the first time I reiterated I was out of town and had no other choice than to find someone out here to pay more money to fix the piercing for me. He then got defensive and told me it was not his fault I was out of town and that he’s been piercing for 11 years so what does he expect me to do. After explaining to him that if I had waited another day to get my ear looked at, the piercings would have had to have been cut out, he starts insinuating I’m a lair and when i finally demanded I wanted a refund and he could either deal with me or my attorney, he responded with “go that route then!” And hung up on me. I will NEVER again recommend anybody to Tattoo 13.

I don’t ever normally leave reviews but this called for one.My four friends and I were trying to recieve piercings. There was a lot of misinformation about pricing. The girl at the front was very nice, but the man who was the piercer was condescending, rude, and made my friends and I feel pressured and uncomfortable. We left without recieving any services. After one of my friends left a review, the employee in question called my friend’s personal phone number and attempted to get her to change her review. He was extremely rude on the phone and didn’t attempt to apologize for the situation, only to pass blame.

The guys and girl here were really cool. I got like 5 small words It is what is it is and I really appreciate them taking me on last min. I only gave 4 stars because it was the smallest tattoo Ive ever got (and I have 8) but it was the most expensive 130 w/tip. Maybe it was so expensive because it was last min or a same day appointment. Nevertheless. He finished in like 7-10 min. Tops!

I was in the area for a mechanic class for two weeks, I had planned on stopping by as a walk in for a consult on a half sleeve. With four friends from class, we stopped by and despite the fact that they were swamped, they managed to get us all in and that day they made the time to consult and go over the tattoos we had streaming through our heads, and what felt like seconds, had us in the chair. I was able to get my half sleeve, another had a touch up, the other hand her ankle and foot done, and the third filled in his Jerry Sailor sleeve. Honestly I have never walked into a tattoo shop and gotten my tat the same day, especially with a half sleeve. These artists are talented, the staff friendly and upbeat, it’s a clean environment. I wish I had discovered this hidden gem of Detroit, when I first started getting tatted. If you are in the area and have time, stop by and check them out. Within the next year, I will be flying back from San Diego for another half sleeve!

I wish I knew how to post photos but take my word when I say I’m ashamed of my tattoo. I’ve cried about it for two days now. Joey cannot do realistic tattoos. I’ve permanently inked my body and my very sentimental tattoo is now shameful for me. It’s botched. After 28 years you’d think he’d have good line work. He wiped off the stencil and free-handed my tattoos. He was on the phone with a friend for a quarter of my tattoo and he talked unprofessionally. His sketch was rushed and I should’ve walked out when I saw it. I payed a $50 deposit and when I arrived he had never even drawn out my tattoo. Then he free handed it and ruined it. I wish I could get my money back. I will be finding someone else to hopefully fix this.

I got a very detailed tattoo from Greg. All I have to say is that it turned out AMAZING. GOD DAMNED AMAZING. Im not sure why this guy hasnt gone global proffesional yet... But it was amazing. The only downside is the price. I know Greg has nothing to do with the price, but tattoo 13 is expensive from what i experienced. The receptionist is awesome too. This chick had me calm, collected, and chill all the way up until the tattoo started. They say you get what you pay for, but I have gotten pretty good tattoos that size for a little cheaper. Their location is a hotspot. So you cant blame them for charging a SLIGHT premium. They didnt charge a LOT MORE. just a little more. But overall.... Im going back to Greg 100%. I wont let anyone else touch me. I guess..... I got what i paid for right?

The guys working at Tattoo 13 are some of the nicest, most patient people in the industry. They will confirm location, design, colors, et al for your tattoo, as well as typing and equipment for piercings. They are confident enough to make suggestions to enhance or improve designs.They always ask for permission, and double check everything.Tattoo 13 is a bit more expensive than most places, but the extra cost is well worth the care and effort they put forth.

Sabrine did piercings for me (daith and 2 helix) and my daughter (nose). She had great technique, explained everything thoroughly, and helped us pick starter jewelry that we loved and would accommodate swelling/healing. We will definitely see her again!

I got my nose pierced today by a guy named KJ and the whole experience was great! Hes a super nice guy and was super understanding that I was nervous about it. 10 out of 10 would recommend to someone else.

Tonys professionalism and mannerism were above and beyond any tattoo artist that I have encountered. I love how attentive and precise he is with his work which makes for a great tattoo. Thank goodness for his ocd because his work station is impeccably clean. I will return.

I can not stress enough that if you are new to tattoos that these guys are very helpful and perfesional. Supper clean shop and the guys even make the little things enjoyable. Terrible! I am so disappointed with this place! Went in on a slow day over thanksgiving, the guy Milly told my sister to send him the picture of her tattoo to his CELL PHONE! How unprofessional, and obvious he was trying to get her number. Told him what we wanted, showed pictures, came back with nothing like what we said. It was a terrible design and very generic. I then drew what we wanted and my drawing came out better than his.After we decided on a design, he told us to go wait in his office. We were waiting for over 45 minutes and never saw him. The owner came in and said he left....um what? He left the building before tattooing us and never said a word to us! As we were walking out after an hr of waiting, the owner told us, OH here he comes. No apology, no nothing. Walked past Milly in the parking lot, he came out of some girls car smoking a cig and smelling like weed. Yes, I want someone who just smoked a bowl to tattoo me! How UNPROFESSIONAL, and RUDE.

I had my fist tattoo done by Gracie last week. She was so kind and informative. My tattoo is absolutely beautiful.

I got my nipples pierced here about six months ago because a friend of mine had gotten them done here (by KJ) and she loved them. KJ wasnt the one who did my piercings, but I really wish he was. One of my nipple piercings is completely botched. The guy who did it pierced WAY too deep into my areola, and to make it worse, he let me pick out jewelry with a bar that was WAY too short. It felt like there was a vice grip on my nipple at all times, and it got so bad that I had to go to the shop a few weeks after getting the piercing to have them change the bars. I thought it was messed up that I paid extra money the first time to get bars with jewels on the end, and the guy didnt tell me tht they wouldnt be long enough, then I had to pay extra money to get the bars that were the right length, and STILL ended up being too short on the nipple that was pierced too deeply. I pretty much have to wear tongue rings because most nipple shields have a bar thats too short. I cant even wear any cute jewelry, makes me wonder why I bothered getting the piercing at all? At this point, one nipple is completely healed and the other, the one thats pierced too deep, doesnt feel like it will ever heal. Im really unhappy with the results of my piercings, and the only reason I gave two stars instead of one is because the guys were really cool and the shop was very clean, and the piercing process very sterile.

Called ahead to explain that I’m pregnant and need my dermal’s removed per doctors order. When I arrived there was a guy at the counter on the computer who couldn’t even bother to look up and say “Hi”, no we’ll be right with you. Nothing. I awkwardly stood there for a solid 5 minutes before a girl came up from the back to greet me just to be told “Oh sorry we can’t touch you since you’re pregnant. Would have been nice to have been told that over the phone when I called for that exact reason!

Took my little cousins to get piercings! The parlor had a good selection of jewelry to choose from but I didnt really enjoy the loud music playing in the lobby! The artist and manager were very helpful tho.

Barely felt any pain during my piercings!! The piercer was fast, friendly and did an amazing job!! definitely recommend this place if you need any piercings done

Got a tattoo of Chucky on my forearm by big Shawn. He worked with me on the price and made sure he took his time and kept me laughing. The guy that works next door made me move my car though because i parked in front of the ice cream parlor but not Tattoo 13s fault.

I got my first tat here and I loved how it turned out but they took advantage of the fact it was my first and had me pay $180 for a tiny tat that’s about 3-4 inches big

7 out of 10 shops are bad, this is one of them. Unqualified piercers, lousy artists, way too overpriced. Not to mention they steal from their own and post fake 5 star reviews. Steer clear folks.

Good tattoos with some artistry and a huge supplies of pictures to choose from or you can supply your own. clean place. need reservations otherwise can be a long weight.

I’m honestly not the one to give a negative review at all, I rather not say anything../but when a customer is unhappy with the work done and addresses it directly the least the artist could try to do is address the mistake rather than be disrespectful and inconsiderate. I’m both baffled and disappointed with the lack of skills and respect received from the artist. Terrible experience and terrible work, I’ll leave it at that.

Absolutely love them, but was turned away tonight because they were short an artist (which is understandable because he got engaged), but was promised the appointment I had made yet was unable to have it because the artist I was appointed (I was reappointed to another artist) canceled for unknown reasons and never actually gave a specific time to come back in

The worse tattoo shop ever hands down, especially the tattoo artist by the name of Chris,seened him use the bathroom 3 times with out bothering to wash his hands, also hes known to use cheap ink that fades 5 weeks later, does not change his needles, my gf seened him outside while taking a smoking brake,smoking on a glass pipe, but to make it all worse they prices are super high for very poor work, my whole arm got infected, the doctor told me its do to bad ink & needle used by your artist, i have contacted fox 2 & the health department on them & they are currently investigating , please stay away.

The staff was so nice and funny, got my nosed pierced and it’s in the perfect spot and doesn’t hurt at all, highly suggest
