I love the work Matt did. I had a lone flower that was done in Puerto Rico that didn’t look great. Matt added an outline, leaves, a hummingbird and a few words. It looks awesome. He seems to be a very cool guy who was great at making my vision come to life. I will definitely return for more ink and I recommend him to anyone in need. I did make an appointment this time but my last tattoo at their shop I was a walk in. So call or stop by, if they can they will fit you in.

Had an amazing experience with Matt today. He was quick and efficient, but not in a rush and I absolutely love how it turned how. You cant even tell theres an old tattoo underneath. And the prices were very reasonable, I will be returning if I get any more tattoos.

Ive neeny going to Dark Horse for close to 3 years to work on my sleeve. I see Matt Carmer. The atmosphere is amazing and the guys who tattoo are hilarious and a lot of fun to be around. The artwork is second to none and of course Marissa is amazing with her piercing skills and putting up with all the shenanigans!

Bethany is an exceptional piercer who makes your experience quick and you well prepared. Each time I’ve been in, it feels like I am visiting an old friend; she is fun to be around! Bethany is super helpful with finding and changing new jewelry too! I highly recommend her—in fact, she’s the first piercer in Fort Wayne I will visit again!(Pierced 1 nostril that had been pierced x2; I was nervous about pain through scar tissue. She changed all of the jewelry!)

Great place!!! Halle did my finger tattoos and a wrap around on my daughters ankle. She did an amazing job. I love them so much. She was really sweet too!. Everything was clean and well prepared. Highly recommend Halle at The Dark Horse!!!!

Absolutely love this place! Got my first tattoo here 2 years ago and have gone back for every one since then. I always get tattooed by Garrett, his work is amazing and he makes the experience comfortable as well! I have not worked with any of the other artists or the piercer, but they are all always friendly and fun to be around. Will for sure be going back several more times!

This is the most amazing shop Ive every been to! The staff is top notch and the most professional people Ive come to know! Not only is the shop amazing but its like a art museum and all the little trinkets are so fun to look at and experience! I will never take myself or my kiddos anywhere else! I’ve been tattooed by both Matt and Garrett, and also pierced by Marissa. Each and every visit is always a good time; such a calm atmosphere and genuinely good people to be around! The shop is beautiful, clean, and professional. I used to go to a few tattoo shops around town, but this is officially the only one I go to now. Definitely, without a doubt, 210% recommend. If I could give them 6 stars, I would!

Marissa is such an amazing piercer! She has poked every hole in my ear which is a total of 6 now! She knows her stuff! She has educated herself very well with anatomy and aftercare. I will only be going to her for all my peircing needs. She makes you feel very comfortable and is well priced! We did a ear curating on my right ear. She looked at the curves in my ear and did something that resonates with my personal aesthetic this included 4 piercings in one session! Which sounded scary but I was so excited! Marissa made it feel like a breeze! And I’ve healed perfectly. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else in the Fort Wayne area expect her!

I was super nervous about going to a new artist but once I got there, Garrett made me feel very welcome and comfortable. He did an amazing job on my tattoo and was easy to make conversation with. Would absolutely recommend him. Can’t wait for more ink!

I have gone to Marissa for 5/14 of my piercings, the 5 being the latest. I will never go to anyone else and recommend Marissa to any other person for their piercing needs. Marissa is welcoming, organized, compassionate, etc. I could go on. Because of my great experience with Marissa at Dark Horse Tattoo, I would gladly come here for a tattoo as well. 10/10 highly recommend.

I love my tattoo!!!!! Jeff did mine and he is super funny and kind and was very light handed. This tattoo didnt even hurt as bad as i thought it would he made me feel so comfortable i almost fell asleep! He is super talented and i would definitely go back when i want another tattoo!

Marissa did 4 piercings on me today! I got a nose hoop, my 2nd lobes, and a tragus. The sign in and waiver process was electronic, efficient, and speedy. We were greeted warmly and made to feel right at home. Marissa was a blast! She was focused and intentional while making me feel very calm. Each of my piercings went smoothly and she was so kind and sociable. I highly recommend Dark Horse Tattoo, their incredible work, and customer service!

I got a decent sized tattoo on my chest by Blaise. He did a awesome job for not tattooing for very long. These guys all do great work. I was laughing and having a great time considering I was getting a tattoo!

Matt Cramer, sorry if I butchered your last name, is amazing! I now have two tattoos by him. The photo does not do it justice. He is super nice, easy to talk to, and very reasonable. I love the colors, and everything about the tattoos he gave me.

I have the best experience every time I go in. The environment is nothing but fun and professional all at the same time. I’ve been tattooed by Jeff and Garrett and I love ever piece on my body. I highly recommend Dark Horse to anyone looking to get a tattoo or piercing!

I went into the shop to have a sensitive man area tattooed and the owner was kind enough to very gently and very tenderly shave me before applying the stencil. In terms of making the stencil, he didn’t point and laugh at the, shall we say, lack of surface area I had for the initial design. Instead, he was professional and shrank the design down, by quite a bit. He used his delicate hands to apply a cream to the tiny area and then deftly laid the stencil. In the three minutes it took him to tattoo me, I felt safe and secure with my knees tucked behind my ears. I will come back to this shop for all of my smaller-than-average needs.

I got my first tattoo here! It was an amazing experience but painful after the first 2 hours.. ouch! But trust people when they say the (x amount of time and pain) is worth it! Matt is talented and hand drawn my design! Couldnt be happier.

Matt is a wonderful person, family man, and tattoo artist. He deserves more than 5 stars if you ask me. Truley talented and he has a great group of people working for him.

I went in today for just a purchase of a nose stud, paid and went in my car and tried to swap my hoop for the stud. The hoop size was a lot smaller and thinner than the stud and I went back in after a few minutes of realising I messed up and asked if I could just get it done because my nose closed up real quick and Im a baby and cant pop it open. Marissa said she would and did a good job, cleaned it well and also gave me a bag of sea salt and gave me instructions on how to clean it. At the end I went back up and asked how much I owed and she said not to worry about the paying. Wasnt expecting that since she literally re-pierced my nose for me. Really made my day

Gotta love this shop! Bold lines, bright colors, great artists... The list goes on and on. Stay away from chain establishments (I wont even call those places a shop... No matter what grade they get). Support local, honest artists!
