Knucklehead Tattoo Shop

Wife and I Drove from Tucson AZ to this Shop as we saw work from artists there that are very talented. Its very nice! And super clean!! Barbershop in seperate room...my artist was Angel super professional and very knowledgeable and experienced. Will absolutely be returning! He made us feel comfortable at the shop and answered all my question. He went above and beyond my expectations! 10000 percent recommend! Here is a pic of what I got love it!!!

Piercer on 9/13 did 5 holes in my ears and only used 3 needles. I had a feeling using one needle TWICE was not ok. However, I did not know for sure so I let it go.The duplicate needle holes are insanely sore and the piercings actually hurt worse than the ones with a NEW needle. There is a reason you don’t double up on needles.He took out 5 needles and put two back. He knew better but valued time over customer health, comfort, and quality. Unsure if he cut corners due to the high customer volume or discounted prices.The hole placements were good and he was a nice enough guy.

Ive been here twice and got my tattoos done by Audi. The shop itself is spacious and very clean with a great atmosphere. Audi is phenomenal!!! I highly recommend her if youre looking for an artist. (Some pictures are from the day I got them. All are fully healed now and they healed great)

Husband and daughter went for matching tattoos. Got them done by TattoosbyMarkitos. He did a great job and was very nice!

Took my daughter to get her nose pierced for her birthday. I called ahead of time to make sure they could do it. It was late. But luckily they had someone stay to do it. While there I decided to get my Medusa done. It was fast and clean. And the guy was very professional. I wish I had asked him his name to give him credit for his work. My daughter was super happy with the way her piercing came out. And I was one happy momma. Definitely will come back for more piercings. Mine healed beautifully

If I could give no stars I would, I got a tattoo back on March 17th by one the artists in this shop. Right away the artist was upset because he under quoted me and according to my reference pic I sent, he didn’t realize it was going to be so much detail. We discussed what I wanted and I had asked if he had done a skeleton hand before and he said he did. As we continue on with the appt, the artist made several comments about being tired and needing breaks, I completely understood but he kept trying to push me for a second appt when I had already stated I wanted my full piece done that day. He continued to make comments about him being “hangry” and needing more breaks, I obliged as I had no time limit and wanted my tattoo done in one session. When finally “finished” the tattoo just didn’t look like my reference picture at all and we talked about coming back for what he said would be touch ups but to me I didn’t consider this a finished tattoo but he said he was done. No details or whites were added to my tattoo. The shading wasn’t good at all. I don’t believe the artist was happy with his work, he didn’t want to put second skin on or even take a picture of his work. Overall the work this artist has on their page to what I got, just doesn’t relate. Within less than 2 weeks, half off my tattoo had faded and now basically looks like I have scribble on my hand. Because of my frustration, I did reach out to the owner of the shop. To see what I could do about getting this fixed and being happy with the tattoo that I did pay for, as it will be on me for life. At first it was a little hard to get the owner to get back to me. Eventually he did and I thought I would be taken care of. He said he could reference me to a different artist in his shop that would be more experienced to do a tattoo like this. I was also given the whole speech about how hand tattoos fade and all that, which I understand being I have a tattoo on my other hand. Which I’ve had for years now and know how to maintenance it, that it hasn’t faded. The skeleton tattoo I got at this shop, is just not a good tattoo and I don’t believe anyone would be happy walking around with this work on them. However the efforts I’ve put into reaching out to the owner and the shop after that initial call with the owner Alex, have now been ignored. I heard high reviews from this shop and I’m just so disappointed in the service I’ve gotten. Really wish we could’ve figured something out but this is the last resort I was left with, to just leave my review and move on.

Piglet is my artist; has been for years. However, I would get work done by other artists in Knucklehead, because they all have their individual niche.I think what I like most about Knucklehead is the camaraderie between the artists.They all support and compliment each others work. And, they will tell you if another artist is better suited for the design you choose, than they are. Thats dope...and, I dig it.Obviously I recommend them. Happy inking!

I walked in today after checking out the artists work on their website I felt confident that which ever artist was available would give me a great piece. Well Sergio took me and blew my expectations out of the water! I was getting my late dogs paw print with the word Siempre as a memorial on my leg. I was very open to suggestions and asked him to do what he thought would look best and with all of this freedom he came back to me with 5 options and set down and went through the difference in each and how they would look, and when we decided the style he came back with multiple sizes and again went over the difference in detail there would be. He was so great and took the time and went the extra mile to make sure it was perfect.While he was tattooing he made sure to move around and look at it from different angles to make sure it was just right all the way around. I could not be any happier with my experience or my tattoo!!

I got my snake eyes piercing by Santiago today. Overall, the experience was great & his work is amazing! Great customer service and I highly recommend!

Went in for my first tattoo yesterday.I couldn’t be any happier with the end results.Andres completed my complete lower arm (half sleeve)- I was in and out of the shop in 10 hoursHighly recommend, Andres is an extremely talented individual who puts pride into his work, and it shows.All the other artists I talked to at the shop were very friendly and welcoming as well.

Just got a full left sleeve tattoo done by Ortega! What an amazing job he did I could not be happier. He was wiling to work with me on the design which made the experience that much better. Amazing shop , all the staff are very friendly aswell! Definitely recommend this place !

Jesse is the man. Before he moved to AZ he used to tattoo me back in Whittier, CA. Literally every piece I have is by him. This portraits, realism, black and grey is all on point. I miss that guy. I really wouldn’t trust anyone else to touch me but him. Miss you Jesse! Much love!

Fantastic experience from beginning to end. Kiki was very helpful to get us started. Matt did a great job walking us through the process. He provided great input on my design and was meticulous from beginning to end. Final art was fantastic! Highly recommend KTS.

I got a full stomach tattoo from Andres Ortega in August. I emailed Ortega in February to come back in and finish the top of my tattoo and get a touch up on my belly button. I emailed and sent pictures of the tattoo and showed what part looks unfinished. I emailed again at the end of February and no response. I emailed again in March and was told that Ortega only books full day sessions. I then got Ortega to possibly book me on May 12th which I never got a response back or a confirmation. I emailed in July once again and he said he would get back to me. I am so disappointed I spent a lot of money on my tattoo and I waited months for my original appointment. I was even willing to pay if needed for the touch up and finish my tattoo. However, I am just being ignored at this point.

Never disappointed when Andy is behind the tattoo gun! This is my fourth tattoo with him. The entire Knucklehead staff is easy going, fun and attentive. Bravo guys and gals 👏 youre the best

When I first tried to get an appointment with Alex(Panda) I emailed him. Telling him what work I want done, a few days past and I do not get a response, so I tried to email him once again and still nothing. I decide to go in the shop to see if I can get an appointment. So I noticed there’s no walk in artist available. I decided to go elsewhere to go get the tattoo I wanted. I decided to give a different artist a chance to tattoo me, I did have luck with Angel. When I was getting tattoo a woman comes in and was looking for Ortega an artist said he wasn’t in, but Ortega was right there and the woman tells the artist that she tried to get into contact with him, basically the same way I did. Meanwhile when I’m getting tattooed, my artist and another are talking about what styles they will not do on people. Which is understandable. So I put two and two together and realize these artist will not respond back if they don’t want you to do the tattoo you want. My tattoo I got done there’s looks...ok it’s a little scratchy looking but I got a hold of an artist at a different shop to touch it up. So be wary if they do not respond to you most likely it’s because they do not want to do your tattoo.

If you want a portrait hands down go talk to Jesse. His work is absolutely amazing and you will not leave disappointed.if you go anywhere else your loss.

I can’t say enough good things about my experience at knucklehead tattoo shop! I was lucky enough to get tattooed by porky martinez and from the start of my half day session til he finished it was all good vibes. I knew he was skilled but walking out of that shop I felt like a million bucks! He understood what I wanted and delivered 100%. Super professional

I got an inner forearm tattoo done by Andres Ortega, When i saw the size of the stencil i was thinking it would be around 6 hours long...as i have a lot of other tattoos done by another artist from Yuma Az. but Andres was able to finish this amazing tattoo in about 3 hours. From my wrist to the bottom of my bicep. Its AMAZING. Clean work and eveyone loves it. He is very talented and the amount that you pay is well worth the quality of work he does. Hes very professional and all around a great guy but an AMAZING tattoo Artist. Truly blown away by his work! Will go back for more work even if that means driving another 3 hours there and 3 hours back for a tattoo its more than worth it! Love it! Awesome place great service. I was a walk in and was treated with respect. Was not to sure on who to go to for a tattoo since my cousin had always done mine. Unfortunately he is no longer with us and i was timid on who to go to. Looked up reviews and heard nothing but good things. I decided to give them a try and i am very pleased with the results in their work and happy with the service. Will definitely come back and recommend others. Ive been visiting Danny for tattoo removal the past few months and he is amazing. Super understanding and gentle, he understands the process isnt easy and tries his best to make the client feel comfortable. Definitely recommend for any and all tattoos that need removed

What can I say about Porky! I beast a sleeve in two days it was my first tattoo i asked porky to mimic another artist style and be definitely delivered with his on flare on shading and style. The whole process of dealing with porky is smooth compared to some in the industry. His assistant was always abailable and contacted me well ahead to confirm. He was always on time and generally cool guy. The second day we even skipped eating to complete an entire arm in just two sessions. Definitely recommend him.

I have been going to this shop and AB Martinez since 2013. Hes incredible and gets better each time. I never have to worry about the outcome and that says a lot considering half of my work from him is portraits. Shop is clean, price is fair, and everyone is approachable which is sometimes hard to say at other shops.

The work was amazing by Francisco (@pg_tattoo), however we had 3 scheduled appointments to do a sleeve but he cancelled the first one 16 minutes prior to my appointment time stating he had a cold, this was on a Sunday. He met his obligation the second time. We had rescheduled to make up for my first session for a different Sunday and he sent a text cancelling on the same day as my appointment AGAIN. I have texted him multiple times throughout this process and received little to no response. I was not surprised he cancelled but definitely disappointed. Like I said his work was amazing; I have received many compliments, however the communication is so bad. I would recommend this place as all the artists work looks phenomenal, just dont go with Francisco unless you are ok w/being cancelled on.

My daughter and granddaughter went here for their first tattoos They had a appointment. The guy showed up late and spent too much time on the phone. A simple one color piece on each of them took nearly three hours and cost them 200 bucks. I wouldnt recommend it.

Walked in and scheduled an appoint with Jenny and she was absolutely amazing! She took my concept and made it absolutely perfect. She was the sweetest and always checked to make sure I was doing ok! Go check her out. Absolutely amazing!

I was so scared to get my tattoo, but my artist made me feel comfortable. Even though I was squirming and moving he was very patient and the results were well worth it. Amazing art and talent there, I recommend them 100%.

I got my first tattoo here, with and at the recommendation of my sister. I dont know much if anything about tattoos, but I can tell you every artist in here had the most gorgeous work on them. Beautiful. We saw Angel, and he was courteous, professional, and explained all of my questions I asked. Im still healing, but if I notice anythings off he said touchups are free. :)

What can I say about this place, great place, great artist. They dont make you feel awkward they make you feel welcome. Over all great work Angel. Ill definitely come back.

Down to Earth Tattoo shop, clean organized and professional. Great staff very personable and super artists. They are always busy as a top rated shop, stop by ask them who the artist they would recommend for your tattoo and make an appointment you wont regret it!

Angel did a great job on the tattoos me and my husband got for our anniversary. He was patient and explained everything we needed to know. I plan on returning for another piece i want done.Just for a heads up, if you cough or if anyone thinks you may be sick then you may be asked to leave...My husband was almost asked to leave because he coughed a few times. So if you show any signs of being sick then just be aware. He has very bad allergies so we knew he wasnt ill, but thats hard to explain in the climate of Coronavirus...thankfully he has to get regularly tested for covid at his job so he had a copy of his test on hand that he just took a few days prior proving he did not have covid. Its the only reason we were allowed to stay. Otherwise I would have been pretty bummed out if our anniversary would have been ruined.

Just got some script work done. Shepherd is going to be an asset. He does amazing line work,he doesnt have a heavy hand. Makes you comfortable and makes sure his vision for your ink is also your vision.

Verry big place also has alot of tattoo artist to work with. Verry nice people.. They will work with you to create your perfect tattoo. Prices are verry fair. Parking lot is medium sized. Also has a awsome barber shop inside! They do great cuts there kids-adults! Love this place would recomend to anyone...

Scheduled a haircut appointment with Charlie cardboard at 4:00 , got there at 3:45 he was still cutting someone’s hair so I waited in the waiting room till 4:30 . That’s when I get a text that says my appointment had been canceled , really annoyed that I wasted 45 minutes of my time for the dude to not even come out or let me know what the deal was

I wasnt totally happy with my tattoo and when I expressed my concerns about it, I was told I was nitpicking. Nitpicking! About permanent ink on my body! It was expensive for the small amount of work and then to not have it be something I love....disappointed for sure.
