Aaron worked with a variety of designs from various aspects of my life and compiled them into an incredible piece. His attention to detail and experience provided an amazing experience. I can’t recommend him enough!!!

I had just moved from Las Vegas where I was getting my tattoo work started I walked in looking for a Artist to do some more work on me and I met Chris so I set up a appointment with Chris and had Chris do some lettering on my fingers and they came out just the way I wanted great Artist a month later I had to have them touched up so I went back and then I met Aaron who I didnt know was the owner and a cool down to earth dude very professional Artist and takes his work very seriously like he was tattooing himself I drew up the cross with the peace cymbals so from a Artist to another Aaron did a awesome job on completing my arm adding the daises he also touched up the cross and peace cymbals to blend it all together the finished project came out amazing you can see it before and after enjoy. Amazing! I’ve collected art from many talented trist in the valley. Today was Friday the 13th flag. While all the other shops in town had crappy little stencils and lines out the door Calamity Jane’s had a small line for a higher price putting out real tattoos for flash sale. Aaron the owner took my piece. He was energetic! Paid close attention to detail and made sure the piece I asked for was truly what I wanted as I had work around it and it was in a difficult spot. He asked me my plans for the future. He didn’t just slap something on me for money. It was refreshing that he cared for the future! Highly recommend. Also the music was very vibey

Best place to get tattooed!! All the artists were so nice :) Mackenzie did two amazing tattoos for my mom, Tyler did an amazing job on my tattoo and Aaron did an awesome job on my brothers tattoo! Andrew was also so nice and helpful getting us fitted in without appointments today! They are amazing, come here if you want good tattoos!!!!

Set the appointment the artist was amazing come to find out it was the owner and he was an amazing artist and the atmosphere was so energetic. And Andrew and Alex was up front and honest awesome shop I’d recommend them to anyone . Walking are welcome and great people

I started seeing Aaron in August to cover up a Celtic cross with my new tattoo. It took two 4 hour sessions and I love it! I.All of the staff is incredibly professional and informative in regards to how to heal my tattoo to ensure the best long term look.The establishment is clean and welcoming. Their attention to sanitation is top notch. They are very mindful in providing a clean environment as they tattoo.

This is mine and my daughters second tattoo at this shop, and well definitely be back for more. They are such talented artists and perfectionists, like myself, so you know youre going to leave with quality work.

Called this shop looking for available walk-ins, as my husband and I were only in the area for that day and these guys were able to help! They allowed us to walk in, and they got the job done. We were super impressed with their ability to do this impromptu idea and turned out amazing! This is 1 week old. If were ever in the area again, we would stop again!

My boyfriend, his best friend, and I all came in as walk in’s. They were able to get all 3 of us in super fast! The environment was amazing! The tattoo artist was super friendly and he did an amazing job with all of our tattoos! He stayed an hour after closing to make sure all of us got what we wanted and we’re satisfied!! 100% recommend this shop! Will be back again !

Aaron did an amazing job on my wife’s tattoo for our daughter. Very clean line work and exactly as expected. Listened to her ideas and made it all come together and she is beyond happy. She also used the numbing cream they have for sale there and was very happy with how effective it was. Not 100% pain free but very minimal pain. Can’t recommended this place and Aaron enough and will be back for him to do my tattoo for my daughter as well. Thank you Aaron for making my wife beyond happy with the piece. Ive been to Calamity Janes before. Each time was great up until this last time. Aaron was my artist each time. This last time I went in and did a get what you get. It was smiley face. I wanted it purple. Aaron put me before 2 other people since my tattoo wouldnt take long. He said to keep the tattoo bandaged for 24-48 hours. I got the tattoo on Wednesday and took the bandage off on Thursday. Everything was painful even putting on a t shirt. Friday my tattoo looked and felt even worse. I went to urgent care on Sunday due to not only my tattoo looking horrible but also redness and swelling. I had to pay $150 to find out I had a severe infection despite following all of the after care instructions. A week of antibiotics and my tattoo will never look the same. The second picture is when I first got it. The first one is the infection and it was taken a couple days after starting the antibiotics.

I’m finally writing this review because five months ago, it seems like someone had a similar experience to mine. I’ve never before written a negative review, and I don’t want to feel like a Karen, but it seems like I’m not alone. Jeremy would often view my messages and still not respond for days, even about a simple question like what soap to use. He had told me to only ask him my questions, by the way. It went up to a week at least once. He didn’t show up for the first meeting to discuss design, and didn’t apologize. Not that it was a huge deal. But, he cancelled a total of eight times after that and I only ended up going in twice. Literally 2/10 of appointments were kept, not including the design meet up. He apologized twice in all of this. He usually cancelled hours after the appointment would have started, after texting me over and over that I would still come in later. After cancellation 7, I made a comment (admittedly it was not the way I should have approached this) about how annoyed I was. He went off on me about patience and being rude and questioning him. I kinda tried to fix it because he said he would give me a sleeve for 1200 which is a great deal, honestly. It’s also my first tattoo so I wasn’t sure if I misunderstood some aspects of the industry. But, I’d cancelled a shift, plans, etc. for these appointments. I thought we’d talked it over, but about a month after that, I finally came in (after another cancellation) and he just said he didn’t want to work with me anymore. He often commented on his integrity, skills (i think this one is fair), and “being a man” by telling me in person. I pointed out the 8 cancellations (which are all evident in text) and he said it was “like 3.” I pointed out that I had paid a total of 850 for an almost completed half sleeve, despite the 600 agreement (per half). He said he would refund 100 like he discussed with Aaron. I texted both of them and got no responses. I know 600 for a half sleeve is a good deal, but I only expected it because Jeremy emphasized multiple times that price would not change. He’d also assured me he would come in on his off days (never happened) and I would be done by a certain date (not even close). I know tattoos are probably a flexible kind of work, but I really do believe I tried to work with him. The amount of cancellations was appalling and the things Jeremy told me were almost exclusively not true. I just want to emphasize that the only expectations I had were the ones Jeremy outlined for me. I didn’t ask for that price and other things, I thought he was being nice. My original budget I told them was 2000, but he said 1200 total. I would have agreed to 2000, but I was assured it would be 600 each half. Ultimately, I felt Jeremy had very little integrity, and did not feel obligated to hold himself accountable for his own statements and actions. Though I was very happy with the art. Sorry for the long review, I still didn’t touch on everything, but this is the bigger details.

My friend and I got tattoos as walk-ins. Nate did both of ours , spending the whole day working on us, and they are awesome! Clean, friendly and welcoming! We highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a tattoo! Thank you Nate!

Called asking if they accept walk ins and was able to be seen the same day. Staff was super informative about the entire process and thoroughly explained how to properly take care of the tattoo after. Pricing was incredibly reasonable.

I got a little spider today on my hand they squeezed me in and did a great job. I will definitely be returning! It only took an hour and Aaron did an amazing job, definitely recommend going here if you want something quick but amazing and exactly what you wanted .

I have gotten all my piercings done here, most done by Aaron, and will continue to get what I can done through them. I plan to take my daughter to get her ears pierced with Aaron when she is ready too. He is great to work with, easy to talk to, and quick with the needles and getting the piercings in.

I came to Calamity Jane’s tattoo to get a matching tattoo with my twin, the piece turned out so beautiful, I would definitely recommend to go to Chris, he did a wonderful job and was so helpful throughout the process!

I came in one day for a tongue piercing for my 16th birthday and they made me feel very welcome and very safe. So much so that I scheduled a second appointment for a matching tattoo we with my mom and they were super kind and the owner is a really cool guy. The tattoo went great and they decided to numb the area because its my first tattoo and I had scars underneath.

Got some Halloween flash! Great price for some cute little but still quality work. Jeremy did a great job! Took really good care of my wife and I. The owner Aaron was very responsive in giving feedback and helping getting me scheduled in. 10 out 0f 10 will be back!

Got a tattoo this past saturday and the experience was absolutely phenomenal! I got a tattoo of Icarus falling on the back of my calf done by Jeremy. It looks so good and I am so excited to see what it looks like healed. Jeremy made sure I knew every step of the process and was wonderful to just have regular conversation with. 10/10 experience and Ive def found the guy Ill be going to for all of my future tattoos.

This shop is very clean and professional. The staff is welcoming and easy to work with. Tyler did my tattoo and he was amazing! He took the time needed to create the perfect custom design...it was exactly what I wanted. He was patient and gentle which was very much appreciated! I came in on a Sunday and set an appointment up for Thursday.I cancelled my vacation plans I had in Denver and booked a room until my appointment. I paid a 60$ deposit. I was texted 30 mins before my checkout time/appointment time and was told my artist had an emergency (which I understand sometimes things happen) so I said if he could forsure do it tomorrow I would check back in to my room. I was told yes that he would forsure do it Friday and that I could come look at what he had so far if I came up to the shop by 4 and that he would have pics sent over of the design in just a few minutes. I was never sent pics. I showed up at 4 to be told he would text me. I asked for my deposit back and was given 40$ back and told to come back at the end of the day for the other 20$ I decided to cut my losses and my vacation I called another shop and told them about my situation and the owner personally took care of me and got me in that day designed and did the work and matched the price the other shop quoted. This is just my experience. 50 shades of pain does great work I didn’t expect the tatto to turn out this good

Im not sure if this was an off week for this place but I had terrible experiences back to back. Im not sure if its bc apprentices helped us or what...First time: last week I called to ask if they had 18g nose rings and if someone could change it out for me. Whoever answered said yes no problem we can do that for you. When I got there the person that answered the phone came to help me with a ring. Mind you its been 2 min since I called. He said the piercer wasnt there and they couldnt help me switch it out. Okay, fine. He had no idea what gauge was what. He told me he gave me an 16g and it wouldnt hurt to put it in. Come to find out when I brought it elsewhere that it was the wrong size. I ended up stretching my nose 2g sizes after the fact.Figured this was an one off and wanted to try again they are like 2 min from my house. Everyone has off days so I didnt want to judge them solely off that.Fast forward one week. I need a retainer for my nose for surgery. My husband called to ask if they had 16g retainers for nose piercings. The dude answering said I dont know you will just have to come in. First off, how hard is it to look before we make the trip? My husband had to buy 3 different supposed gauges bc the dude at the counter couldnt figure out what gauge was what. He said I think this is a 14. Wait actually its 16. Then he said he wasnt sure what the other size was either. Dude tried to charge us 18 dollars for 1 plastic retainer. When my husband said he would take two, dude said okay I guess I can do 2 for 20. My husband just bought all three bc this dude was absolutely clueless. They did 3 for 25. How does that make any sense? To top it off the piercer was there painting and couldnt be bothered to stop for 2 seconds to help.Judging by our last two experiences it seems like they try to get you to come in by purposely not answering your questions over the phone, or lying that a piercer was there to get us to come in. Both times could have been so much easier if the apprentice had any idea how to measure gauges or been honest the first time. We were scheduling 2 sleeves to be started next month but will definitely be going elsewhere.

Wow! I came in today for my first ever tattoo. I can say it was an amazing experience and the artist who did my work (Aaron) did fantastic. I dont think I would have had a better experience anywhere else. The environment was amazingly comfortable and my tattoo cane out great! I will be back for more! I went into get a memorial piece for my grandfather that I had been wanting to get since he passed four years ago. Aaron brought everything that I wanted into my tattoo and I couldn’t possibly be happier. The entire experience was amazing and I wouldn’t recommend any other other place. I have been here twice and I’ve loved the service and the tattoos. My artists were Chris and Jeremey and I loved the pieces I got. The artists are all very nice and great artists.

I had tried to get ahold of a few other tattoo places to get consults for a tattoo with no luck. I walked into Calamity Janes and got a free consult right then with scheduling for a few days away. Tattoo shop was a good environment and the other guys there were pretty cool. Aaron is a very welcoming guy who does great work. I will definitely be back for my next tattoo.

Came in for a walk in and even though they had a couple clients, Arron and Tyler still managed to squeeze me in to get a beautiful tattoo! I’ve been tattooed by Arron before so I know and trust his work as it is fantastic! Great place! All of the staff are super accommodating and friendly. I’ve gotten two tattoos done, an upper helix piercing, and a septum piercing here. I’ve had a great experience each time I go in.

Walked in the shop to see if i could get my peircing done early (i was scheduled for the next day), without hesitation, they fit me right in. I recieved a helix piercing from aaron. Quick and easy and educational on after care practices. Very professional. Also recieving a tattoo from Mac after my wife recieved a whole arm sleeve. Very good work. Healing wonderfully and looks awesome. Lots of detail and very bright.

I’ve gone to Tyler at Calamity Janes since 2018. He is absolutely talented! Right off the bat he showed me professionalism and how serious he takes his job. My wife and I worked with Tyler Graham. He was straightforward about what he didnt think would work well and helpful with suggestions.He had a gentle hand(I thought) which I appreciated, and the art came out looking great. Still healing but great first impression.Reasonably priced as well.

Aaron was extremely nice and so was the rest of the staff. Initially, the tattoo looked pretty good. The session lasted over 3 hours and was too deep and healed terribly. Portions of the ink fell out.

If you are looking for an excellent, detailed artist, I would recommend Aaron at Calamity Jane’s! I was treated very well from the beginning and Aaron was a great artist to have. I’m a mama and for my birthday my whole family (all 6 of us) took me to get my nose pierced! That’s right I’m 35 and still alive! Jacintah my piercer was so dope! So kind, welcoming and comfortable to be around. Also super cool about my whole family coming back with me to watch me get it done! The shop was clean and the overall zen of the place was just super chill. I love my nose piercing and the price for it was great. I HIGHLY recommend these guys. Will be back soon for some tat work!

Let me start out by saying just how genuinely disappointed I am that I am to be leaving this review. I got three very small and simple tattoos a few months ago and had one of my better tattoo shoppe experiences. Aaron was so friendly and down to Earth and did not have your stereotypical judgmental tattoo artist attitude about him. I also paid quite a bit more for three small tattoos at once than I would have liked or expected but I figured that you pay for what you get. On top of that I left Aaron a very, in my opinion, generous tip.One of the tattoos looks really bad after having healed - before someone questions my knowledge or ability to properly take care of a healing tattoo I would like to add that I have 13 tattoos so I am not new.I am not over exaggerating when I say that a prison tattoo or my nieces sharpie tattoo would look better than this mess.BUT I was not even upset about this! They do free touch-ups so I wasnt too worried and went ahead and messaged them to set up an appointment. The person replying to the message told me I could come at 1500 but when I showed up Jacintah was too busy smoking a bowl to notice that I walked in and when she realised I was there she acted very caught off guard and said what are you doing here? I told her I was there for my appointment and she knew nothing of it. I showed her the messages and she replied well he is a tattoo artist, not a scheduler I would like to know why he was scheduling things then? I arrived 10 . minutes earlier and he was clearly no where near being done with the person before me and he had another appointment scheduled at 1530 so squeezing me in wasnt really going to work out so well but I could tell she did not want to turn me away. They did try to accommodate me and said they would still do it but at that point I felt so unwelcome and as if I was inconveniencing them for their mistake I was not going to stay there and let someone with an ink and needle near me! I would rather walk around with this ugly tattoo for awhile and then pay someone else to fix it than sit there feeling uncomfortable. I hope other people continue to have better experiences than I did my second time.

Aaron is always very professional. He is a fantastic artist and does great cover ups. I got my first tattoo here and it turned out wonderful and still has great color years later.

Luke has done both of my tattoos so far and I love them. They’re always great quality, great price and he is very considerate and professional. I’ve recommended him to everyone!

I have had a few pieces done by Aaron and he is awesome. He definitely kept my ideas intact while making them even better. The space is clean and professional. The price you pay is worth every cent!!

My whole family (4 of us) came in wanting the same thing but all on different body parts and in different fonts. Not only were they unbelievably accommodating, but so welcoming! They sterilized everything in between each person, even the chairs we sat on. They had no problem making small changes in placement and size prior to tattooing and wanted us to truly be happy with our new ink. They also gave us a great deal for the 4 of us which was very reasonable. I would highly recommend!! :)

I love this place. The artists truly care about giving you the best possible piercing/tattoo possible, and really work with you to make your experience the best it can be. My boyfriend and I have been pierced here multiple times, and loved it every time.

Came in for a walk in. Told me to come back later that day and they could get me in. 10 mins before arrival they message me and tell me they can’t get me in because they double booked but to come in the next day when they open and the same artist would get me in. Came back in next day as they opened, artist wasn’t there. Was told to hang out for 30 minutes and he would be on his way, an hour goes by and they try to get me to reschedule for another day or just continue to wait. Ended up leaving and going to 1st street tattoo parlor and they got me in within 15 minutes.

Got a tattoo and an ear piercing. loved both. the staff is very nice and helpful gave me all my healing process information. went in as a walk in mid day and got in very easily. will come back again!!!

Walked in to get some info on a tattoo. No one spoke to me or acknowledge I was there. The guy that was there was having a endless pointless conversation with someone. Stood there for five minutes. So I left. I used to talk this business up a lot but now that I tried to use them for personal services and was completely ignored I do not anymore. I would leave a zero star of I could.

I always have a awesome experience when I go here! I’ve gotten a few piercings here and even talked my mom into a tattoo here! Aaron is awesome at what he does! Jacintah is awesome as well! Very friendly, very professional! Just an awesome place. 👌🏼

I have had nothing but a great experience with everyone Ive interacted with in the shop and during piercings and tattoos. Tyler did a fantastic job on the back of my knees with great attention to detail, consideration, and amazing line work. I have seen the work of other artists and Id trust and reccomend any of them with pieces as well. Clean, comfortable, careful, and just plain awesome. My most recent experience was a repierce of a medusa and new labret. The experience was just as expected, excellent! Very sterile, comfortable, and so much concern to ensure the customer is pleased with the work. From what I have seen any and all work is guaranteed and the artists and piercers are absolutely amazing. Having moved from out of state, finding a comfortable shop was a little daunting. But Janes is definitely it! For all tattoo and piercing needs.

I love coming to Calamity Janes for tattoos in GJ. Aaron and Jacintah are both incredibly kind, professional, and talented. Aaron did a beautiful traditional American lacrosse stick on my forearm back in 2017 and has touched it up twice over the years free of charge just to keep it looking fresh!

I gave this place two stars because a went there to get my nose pierced after hearing that they were a good place and that they were cheaper. That wasn’t true. 1. Aaron put in the wrong jewelry and was super rough with my nose as he was doing it. 2 He told me the wrong way to clean it so it developed a keloid due to the ring size and cleaning method. And 3. When I went to Pandora’s to see what they had to say, the lady said that she had many people coming in with botched piercings from Jane Tattoos. She had to take out the nose ring that he put in and put a much smaller one in because otherwise it wouldn’t heal. Also, if I’d have known I was paying $75 for a botched piercing and the wrong cleaning solution, I would have gone to Pandora’s in the first place. I’m sure this is a good place to go for tattoos but I strongly DO NOT recommend going there for piercings. Not the place.

Tresten is awful. His lines arent straight and his saturation is trash. Not worth my money or time. He also is publicly shaming women and making fun of other peoples art when his art is literal garbage. Beware of him. He is a very mean person who should not be in this line of work. Its gross that they even have him working there

I showed up for my scheduled appointment with Luke, but was told I would have to reschedule. The project was postponed over 6 weeks because of a sudden sickness. Luke refused to give back my deposit, even after I had someone else do the tattoo in a timely manner.

It took Aaron 45 minutes to get printouts of 3 different flowers made and ready and my 11 am appt didn’t even start till 12:30... He told me that my hand width size wrap around wrist piece would take 2-3 session to finish which is unrealistic... he was very heavy handed and unaware, just lost in his loud metal music while digging into my wrist front and back. The lines are very clean and well done but there was no sense of awareness, maybe just catch him on a good day but I will never go back...

The shop is clean and they were able to get my sister and I in for matching tattoos instantly. The artist did great! Only bad part is my tattoo faded super quickly and Ive had it less than a year.

They do amazing work and Aaron is a great dude.

Jacintah Abernathy is so so Professional and very good at making a scary situation comfortable and inviting. I got my nose pierced and it was quick and with very little pain. I am very pleased and she will be mine and hopefully my friends piercer from here on out!! You could go somewhere else but why would you!!

Jeremy is so professional and an amazing tatoo artist. Enjoyed the great conversation. I would recommend him to everyone! I absolutely love my tatoo.

Just left from getting my nipples pierced from Jacintah and she is the best! She made me feel so comfortable and like I had the cutest little nipples😂 can’t wait to come back in in 4-6weeks to switch to a smaller bar and see her again! ❤️❤️❤️🥰

Made an appointment a few weeks ago to get some touch-up work done. I show up for my appointment and I can see that Aaron is not prepped but talking with a group of coworkers about whatever. Aaron has no idea who I am or what I want done. He then spends the next half-hour getting a table ready. Very disrespectful to me and my time. Wont be going back or reccomending to friends.

I just moved out to Colorado, so this was my first tattoo experience out here and the bar could not be set higher. I came in with my second full sleeve unfinished. Paul set me up with an appointment within a week, and what an artist he was to finish what was left unfinished without having the original to go off of. He took care of me and he will take care of you too.

This place is amazing, they clean before and after every client. As well as they are always onetime, I personally have has Luke and he is amazing. My leg twitched extremely bad and my lines were still extremely straight.

Came here wanting a tattoo but they ended up being booked 😅 Jacintah was so kind and intentional with me just randomly wanting to get my conch pierced. It was so nice to see a piercer genuinely excited for someone else’s piercing! I wish most piercers were this kind!

I got my first piercing here, by an apprentice. She was very kind and detailed about the process, her mentor watched over the entire job, and helped her get the piercing done efficiently. I got a rook piercing, and it is absolutely beautiful.

Was tatted by Aaron Tattoo was super painful during and after, healing was horrible worse than any other tattoo Ive ever had. Faded in less than a month uneven lines had to have it gone over again still faded fast it was scarred beyond repair I thought. Asked where Francisco was I was lied to about him moving, found him on my own. Went to 501 tattoo on North and 25th Street had Francisco fix it and now I dont cover up my tattoo anymore.

Calamity Jane is an awesome place, the artists take pride in their work Aaron was my artist and he did wonderful. I’m already collaborating with him on a chest piece in mind!

So I’ve had one of the trickiest little piercings in my cartilage and two nipple piercings to redo today, and I have to say Jacintah was wonderfully respectful, educational and made the process as pleasant as being pierced can be. I’ll be coming back and couldn’t suggest this place or her enough 💕
