OH MY GOODNESS. I love this shop so much. this was my second time with kristen and i enjoyed every minute of it! I got my tongue pierced and she talked me through the whole entire process. she made me feel extremely comfortable walking in , and just getting it pierced. it is EXTREMELY clean in here and honestly the most comfortable place you can go for a tongue piercing! i will never go anywhere else even if i move out of town. She is going to be my go to person forever!

Was in town went here on a recommendation we had. Was not expecting to have such a great time, a great vibe, and an even greater piercing. I went in to have my lip re pierced and Kristen was so amazing. She explained everything and was the sweetest person ever. Would recommend to anyone who wants a piercing or jewelry!!

I needed help getting A LOT of jewelry out for an MRI that was scheduled on short notice. Kirsten had an opening and got me in right away. The shop was very cute and clean. Her vibes are absolutely immaculate, 10/10! She was super sweet and helpful as well as very professional and knowledgeable. I was worried about trying to find someone to help me that wouldn’t be annoyed that that’s all I was there for. She was not that way at all! She was so happy to help me out. I went back the next day to have everything put back in and it was the same vibes, so happy to help me out. She also hooked me up with some suggestions and new jewelry that livened up my look :) Her jewelry is very high quality and the pricing is great for both services and jewelry. I will definitely be returning to her for any and all piercing/jewelry needs! :)

This place is amazing! My friend and I called to get tattoos and they were scheduled out for a while which we expected, but Alexa thought of us when she had an opening and got us in much sooner. I had the best experience with Kirsten. She changed out my nose jewelry from an another piercer and did a phenomenal job. She was warm, kind, respectful, and was so helpful in talking through what I wanted and making sure it was 100% perfect. I’ll definitely be back to see her and would highly recommend her!

I went in for a consultation with Kirsten for either a conch or 3rd lobe piercing - scheduling was easy online and confirmed quickly. She had blocked out a little extra time in case I wanted to actually do the piercing that day - which I did after she very thoroughly answered my questions. The shop was very clean, the people were so kind, and Kirsten was personable, professional and did a great job! Pricing was very fair for the service, the selection of jewelry wasn’t overly extensive but was well-curated, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for piercings in Grand Junction!

Alexa is incredibly talented. She tattoos all of my friends for a good reason because she simply doesn’t miss. From traditional, Neo traditional to her signature fun and whimsical designs, she can tackle the bulk of what you throw at her with ease. She gave my wife her favorite chest piece that is her favorite by far. Do yourself a favor and book an appointment or fly yourself out for a collectors piece if you don’t live local. 100/10

Just got my seconds pierced here and I cannot express enough how much I love this place! Kristen is not only such a great piercer but an amazing person as well. As soon as you walk into gemstone its such a welcoming environment. Kristen walked me through the whole process which really calmed my nerves and also made the whole experience way less painful. If I could give more then five stars I would, I will most definitely be back in the future for all my piercings and highly recommend that if you plan on getting a piercing you go to gemstone.

Kristen was the one who pierced my ears and septum she was really nice and I really enjoyed my time there I really recommd her I will definitely go back to her for all of my piercings

Had my nipples pierced here and was the best experience out of my ten piercings. Kiersten was so friendly and walked me through the whole process, talked about jewelry options, sterilized the jewelry in front of me, and considered environmental factors when picking the length of the jewelry and healing.

Kirsten is so kind, trustworthy and professional. I was nervous about getting my septum pierced but she made me feel so comfortable. She was really patient and walked me through the whole process. When the ring we chose ended up being a bit too small, she immediately offered to try another size until we got the right fit. Its clear she really cares about her customers. 10/10 recommend!

Kirsten did a fantastic job piercing my 7 year olds ears! She was very patient and did an excellent job explaining all the steps. In addition, her ears are healing really well. Great experience all around!

Tanner did my second lobe piercings and the whole experience was amazing. He made me super comfortable and took his time making sure they were positioned correctly. The piercing was super quick and painless and has healed really well. I also really appreciated that he didn’t try to push more expensive jewelry or cleaners on me. I’ll definitely come back here for future piercings!

My experience with Kirsten was 10/10. She talked me through every step in the process before and during my nostril piercing and my second ear lobe piercings. The way she approaches the piercings kept me calm and focused, as well. She took her time to be sure that each placement was correct. Her jewelry collection is outstanding. I even got to watch my jewelry process in the autoclave. The shop has a cool vibe, too. I will be back in the future.

Cane in for a nipple piercing a while ago, workers were very chill and friendly. Absolutely loved the experience, very painless and very clean!Came back because the piercing had sunk in and the owner was incredibly helpful , patient, and friendly. She fixed my piercing with no charge and was absolutely amazing!! Such an amazing place would advise anyone to go, they have such a great service and are so kind and accommodating.

Kirsten did my friends nose piercing and I was there the whole time. Kirsten was so friendly, helpful, bubbly, professional, and gentle. Out of all the piercers I’ve ever been to, I’ve never encountered one like her. I lost a post to a piercing Friday night while sleeping. I called what used to be my go to shop for help... knowing this particular piercing closes at a fast rate. I was told I would need to wait u til Tuesday and what was a taper would turn into a repierce. I called in a panic, the receptionist was friendly and understanding she spoke with Kristen and told me to come down as a walk-in. Kristen was very helpful knowledgeable and absolutely phenomenal. She helped me pick out replacement pieces and switch up the esthetics. The price she quoted was the price we paid out the door no hidden fees or a jewelry swap fee. I can tell you I absolutely have a new go to shop. Thank you so much for fixing me up in my absolute moment of a melt down. Kristen even sent me with an emergency kit for the next time! Will be back, will tell everyone to go.

Got my philtrum pierced by Kirsten, she is the best, has gentle hands, is extremely knowledgeable about everything she is doing & makes you feel completely comfortable. Healing process was great, 10/10 super recommend!

I got my septum done almost 2 years ago. I got a small fitted septum and she did such a beautiful job. It healed perfect no complications and I still looove it. I needed to do something for me that day and it was an awesome experience.

I have gotten now 4 piercings there very professional talks through whole process from the easy nipple piercing to the vch and the complex triangle always make you feel comfortable very clean and knowledgeable will be going back again so glad found this place can’t say enough good things about it go see them for you piercing needs or wants jewelry beautiful always there to help if don’t have jewelry they will get it. A very competent and trustworthy love this place.

I got my nose pierced here a few weeks ago by Kirsten and it is healing up unbelievably well. I have very sensitive skin and have had multiple piercings from other places that have gotten infected and have had to take out. Gemstone has high quality jewelry and will give you honest opinions about placement, etc. If you are thinking about getting a piercing, go here!

Amazing people at this shop! Multiple piercers and tattoo artist that are amazing at what they do. I have gotten a tattoo from Alexa, and 2 peircing sessions(3 total peircings, 1 septum, 1cat flap, and one helix) from Tanner. Every time I come in here I feel welcome and comfortable. It is a real artists collaborative space with talented people all around! Even more than that, they take pride in their work and everything is super clean and safe. Im so impressed with this shop, they have fast become my favorite here:)

This was my first tattoo at Gemstone and Alexa was amazing! Not only was she patient and friendly but her design was better than anything I could have imagined. The shop is relaxing and laid back and I can’t recommend it enough. Then when I was there I inquired about changing my nose ring and they immediately took care of it. I will definitely be back!!

I would not recommend. Issues unfortunately came up with my nose piercing, which is of course outside Gemstone’s control. (I followed all initial after care instructions) However, when seeking help for the issues I received little compassion and inconsistent after care solutions which eventually made the piercing issues worse. I had to seek medical help as well as other piercing shops help to find a solution. I don’t know if this was from lack of education or experience but it lead to a very extended healing process. I asked the shop to rectify the situation with some sort of refund, due to my additional expenses elsewhere, but they would only offer additional piercing services which I told them I was not comfortable with. If possible, I would find a more experienced shop.

Ive gotten both piercings and tattoos done at Gemstone, and Ive always been pleased with my work. Everyone there is professional and personable, and the actual shop itself looks great. Its a great place for your tattoos or piercings!

After calling six or seven diffrent shops to get a piercing done with out a appointment and was turned away over and over again, i finally called gemstone and was told they can get me and my friend in to get our piercings done. they told us to be there in 30 mins but we got lost looking for it (we dont live in gj) and it took us about 50 mins to get there. they where really nice about it and did not give us a hard time for being late). tanner was the one who did the piercings, he was very kind and sat down with us and gave is info on the piercings we wanted, took time to show us the jewlery they had to choose from (lots of great choices and sizes), he never rushed us to pick any thing out and was a total delight. once we had the rings picked out he walked us through what he was going to do and the after care of the piercings. he also went and customized the color of the silver in the jewlery for free. it was amazing to watch. before he did the piercing he asked me if i plan on getting a piercing behind it one day or if i would be using a loop in it. i hadnt even thought about it and was glad he asked because it helped puting the piercing in the right place to do so with out it looking funny. over all the staff was great, the place was clean, the prices was good and i will be going back there again for any more tattoos or piercings. THANK YOU TANNER AND THE GEMSTONE CREW!!!!!!!

Love how fast and gentle the guy was. He did an amazing job on my tattoo. But Ive been waiting since February 26th for a call back on my free touch up the guy had offered. Id definitely recommend them to my friends and family. Workers there are really nice and friendly, I wouldnt go anywhere else.
