Me and my friends all came in for piercings and Fitz was able to take care of us in no time. Very professional. I came back again recently to do the “get what you get” tattoo and it turned out great. I got the better deal out of it.

The best experience I’ve ever had at a tattoo shop. Fitz is the coolest guy! Absolutely worth the price. He took the time to squeeze me in, figured out a way to cover up a god awful old tattoo, and did an amazing job. 1200/10 will be back in a few weeks!

I have been going to ginger bear ink for a wonderful couple of years but feels like a lifetime, I always love the tattoos Fitz does and I always walk out happy. I am so happy this family environment/establishment is open and make you feel like a family!! 1000/1000 recommend!!!!!

If you are looking for quality and a comfortable laid-back environment for tattoos and piercings, this is the place to go. Had 3 tattoos done here yesterday, and the amount of time and effort put into my pieces is phenomenal. Dont go anywhere else if you want quality and beautiful work done.

Very professional tattoo artist. His work is superb. It’s so easy to have a conversation with him. His shop is family owned. My experience was great. He took his time and did exactly what I asked for. His mom was there and she had to be one of the coolest people that I’ve met. Now I know where he got his morals and standards from 💯 I am waiting for my tattoo to completely heal before I get it colored in. I love my tattoo so much. Not to mention, his tattooing style is so precise and light handed, I wasn’t in any pain at all.

Messaged the FB multiple times about coming in and getting a piercing and didnt get a clear answer on availability, turned up at 10pm and got turned away by a rude woman, not to mention kids in there taking up all the room and blocking off the door? Place seems unprofessional. Waste of time, go somewhere else.

Tonight was the first time my boyfriend and I have ever been at Under Your Skin Tattoo. When we walked in the atmosphere was amazing. Felt like you can just go there and hang out. Everybody there was extremely nice and helpful. The customer service was professional. I went in to get a tattoo for my grandma who recently passed. I showed them exactly what I wanted and Kenny did a PHENOMENAL job on my tattoo. Kenny was professional with everything he had done tonight. I love how creative he was with my tattoo and made it unique.I would HIGHLY recommend Under Your Skin Tattoo to anyone who wants to get a badass tattoo or piercing or just go to hang out with awesome people.Thank you again Kenny for my amazing tattoo.

Staff/ ladies at reception extremely condescending. They laughed and smirked when I asked for a daith piercing. I went to Body Language on Madison instead and they were professional and friendly.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Atmosphere is great and chill. I have high anxiety and I felt extremely comfortable here, everybody is so kind and fun. Fitz pierced my tragus, belly button, and did my butterfly tattoo. 10 outta 10 Definitely will be coming back!(Update) a couple of weeks later I was back again and had my sternum tattooed! Seriously cannot recommend Ginger Bear Ink/Fitz enough. My tattoos look amazing (he did my fiancés tat as well which looks awesome) Fitz takes his time and makes sure everything is precise and done to perfection. Very professional. I had nothing going on tonight and on a whim looked up this shop. Checked out the reviews and I was satisfied - all positive. After walking in, I was even more pleased. Every person, including other customers, were all beyond friendly and it felt like being at home.Smiley did my ink - wonderful hand and clean lines. Nice guy too. Did my ribs and pinky finger. He was very accommodating, gave me a water and even an extra pillow so I could lay comfortably during my rib tattoo. He also stayed late when I decided I wanted just one more tattoo on my pinky.Upon getting my tattoo, other artists came over to talk and at checkout we all talked for awhile. I honestly didnt want to go home as they were all so friendly and my kind of people.I will definitely be back for more ink very soon.Fair pricing as well. 👌🏼

I got my nostril and ear lobes pierced. The place is very clean and sanitary. The piercer was very friendly, and thoroughly walked through the entire process. She made me feel very comfortable about the process, and the piercings ended up looking amazing! I cannot recommend this place enough, and it’s especially amazing if you feel nervous about the situation because they were able to put even me at ease.

Brought my daughters in for ear piercings and the staff made them feel so comfortable. They explained everything they were doing which made it a breeze. One of my daughters was having a tough time and they were extremely understanding and patient . The owner even stepped away from the tattoo he was doing to assist and ease the process . A little gesture goes a long way .

OH MY GOD!!!! So many positive things to say about this place. Extremely friendly and amazing staff. Was very uplifting, encouraging and fun to converse with. Decided to get my ear pierced on a whim and have never had any piercing done before! My friend went with to get a piercing and we had a blast. Rob was my piercer and he did an amazing job. He and one of the girls that works the front desk were so nice and helpful. After my piercing I was feeling really dizzy and light headed and they made sure I was feeling alright and gave me water and took great care of me. I definitely recommend this place

I took my 9 year old in tonight to get her ears pierced, and they were so incredibly kind to her! She was nervous and twitchy, but they made her laugh and feel at home. I got a tattoo for the first time and I came here after my sister had got hers done. I could not recommend a place more than this, I got two butterflies tattooed and it looks phenomenal. Very welcoming environment and very attentive to detail. If you want to go somewhere that genuinely cares and will provide excellent results, this place. 10/10, will 100% be coming back.

We highly recommend Ginger Bear Ink.My daughter and I dropped in to get tattoos Wednesday afternoon and had the best time with Fitz. I had ideas but wasnt sure what would work. He took lots of time consulting with us and ended up spending a couple hours creating a beautiful watercolor cuff on my arm.Our tattoos turned out beautiful. We were having such a good time, we called my husband and son to come up and join us. Fitz ended up staying late to get my sons tattoo done as well. My husband and I are going back on Saturday to get his.This is a veteran-owned, family-run business. We will be returning to Ginger Bear for all our future tattoos.

My daughter and I walked in nervous and left out feeling confident about the healing process of the nose ring. The entire staff was so nice and informative about what to expect during the piercing process. Rob was FANTASTIC!! He is a very cool guy. I am referring all friends and family . Took our 6 year old daughter in for ear piercing. I almost made the mistake of taking her somewhere else. So glad we ended up here. They took all measure to ensure she was comfortable. They pierced both ears at the same time. She did great! The other place informed me they would pierce one ear at a time and if she cried they would not finish the second. That would have been a horrible experience for her. We are extremely happy with the service and will be back for any future business!! HIGHLY Recommend.

I went there to get my nipples pierced a few days back and they were so kind and didn’t make me feel uncomfortable when getting such a invasive piercing. i asked if there was someone else there so we could do them both at once and there was and they were happy to accommodate for me. loved the shop and everyone in it 10/10 will definitely be going back!

Ive gotten several piercings here and Rob is always patient, professional, and punctual. Very detailed aftercare instructions. Recently got a tattoo done by Chastity and I am blown away. Clean and and good looking. They do amazing work here.

I went here today to get my industrial re-pierced and I will definitely be going back for all of my future piercings! The staff is very knowledgeable, professional, and sanitary! During the process my artist explained everything he was doing and why, providing a great level of comfort and trust for myself. Just stepped out of this place and I couldn’t be happier! I got my first piercing here and they were amazing. Super professional and quick. I was a little nervous going in but the whole team did an amazing job making me feel comfortable and welcomed. I 100% recommend coming here.

Called right at 7pm asking if they could fit two piercings in today since online it says they are open to midnight. Was told the piercer was busy but would be free in two hours and could do it then. Showed up at 9pm on the dot and was told that the piercer was done for the night and they were closed.

So I took my daughter here to get her nose pierced and Rob is a stand up guy. His whole shop was having a good time and Rob was great helping ease the fear my daughter had. As a heavily tattooed person I can say that seeing a whole shop having fun together is an oddity will definitely go back!

Rob removed my dermal and did an excellent job. The next day he did a Daith piercing and did another excellent job. Very professional and knows what hes doing. Had a wonderful time talking and joking with all the staff. Everybody very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. I would hang out with these guys anytime. I have definitely found my place for any further piercings or tattoos. You guys rock!!

Rob did amazing with my daughter’s cartilage piercing! She is very happy with it. The whole experience was wonderful! He made sure she knew how to care for her new piercing.

I went here for a piercing last night, and to say the least I was very nervous. Rob did an excellent job calming me down and an excellent job on the piercing! Super funny and relaxed guy! I would definitely go back to him if I ever decide to get another piercing. Place looked clean and he used sterilized equipment, piercing was a quick pain and then it was done with. Awesome job Rob!

I have suffered from migraines for quite some time. Was told by a friend to stop in and talk to Rob, that he could do a piercing that would take them away. I was very skeptical, but I am glad I did. Had one when I went in and by the time I left my migraine was completely gone. Rob is amazing, very kind, and knowledgeable. Shop was very clean and everyone made me feel right at home. I highly recommend!! I will be going back soon..

Great staff— nice, funny, and knowledgeable! After doing A LOT of soul searching when my previous piercer moved out of state, and a bad experience at a previously great place, I came here from a lot of friend recommendations and great reviews. And I tell you, they did not disappoint. Rob was great, everyone in-house was great, and very patient despite my excessive bleeding. I got my right daith, right shen men, and both ears 2nd hole, and my sister got her nose and 2nd ear done. 10/10, definitely my new place for piercings!

The people were awesome. When I went in Because I had lost my nose Ring. It was really chill and I met some Really sweet people. While I was trying to put my nose ring and that I had just bought a little girl and her mom walked in in the owner talk to little girls so sweetly Asked her a few questions about her getting her ears peers made her feel extremely comfortable made me smile the whole time and the little girl did so great didnt even cry. Im definitely going back!!!!

Went in with my best friend to get my dermal done. Robert is always super friendly and definitely very experienced! Makes our trips always worth it and would definitely recommend this shop to anyone. Definitely very quick and he explained the whole process and aftercare. Absolutely favorite place to get pierced!!

I came in looking for longer studs because my ears were very irritated and the owner (I don’t remember his name) but he cleaned up my earlobe piercing and switched them out for me! He was very helpful and made sure that I knew how to clean them properly before leaving!

Kenny aka Fitz pierced my nose. Not my first piercing rodeo but he was very courteous and informative. His apprentice gave me the low down on aftercare and so far so good. Will definitely be back for jewelry and other modifications. Thanks guys!!!

My friends and I spontaneously went to get piercings tonight and we looked up the highest rated places that were open and stumbled across this one. It was not disappointing! Rob did the piercings and John was observing. Rob did a phenomenal job with each of us! He walked my friend through not passing out and helped us all with any blood and questions and concerns. First impression, all the artist are funny and cool people. We had a group of three people who got three small dinosaur tattoos on a whim. They were more than happy to get us in. Clean, professional shop and it was just a fun experience with chas, Ryan, and Gary. They had fun with us, but were super informative as well. Hands down the best experience Ive ever had, getting stabbed. Got both nipples pierced, and the work was quick, clean, and neatly done despite the piercer having to work around some scar tissue from prior piercings. The shop is small, but clean and very inviting. Staff was super friendly and professional, and make you feel very at ease. Will definately be going back!

Loved this shop ! I have fought with anxiety and depression since I was a teenager along with a fear of needles . I went into the shop while experiencing those symptoms after mySister recommended I get the Shen Men piercing . Rob continuously made me laugh and feel so comfortable . It happened so fast it was over before I knew it .... AND FINALLY I felt relief. Almost like a weight was lifted . I’ve had the piercing for two days now and still haven’t felt anxious or depressed . I feel more at peace now than I have in a long time . The price was also reasonable. I would def go back and recommend him to anyone . Thanks Rob !!!

Robert was amazing; the shop is professional and he made sure that he walked me through all the steps before I had my piercings done. He really cared about my physical well being and let me move at my own pace once they had been complete and gave me a rundown on my personal aftercare. Came in to get my nose piercing changed and the lady joked about how the person who pierced it was autistic… not funny. The guy pinched me with the piercing pliers, upped my gauge size without my knowledge, and put in a hoop that was way too tight around my nostril. Immediately went to a different shop to get it changed again. Wouldn’t recommend.

I got my head done was told price was 400 to 450 and tattoo didnt get finished and spent almost 400 first day now saying need pay more pretty much. Remind me of tattoo artist on streets. Im all about integrity be about what u say. They aint. Sorry. Half u see aint finished is what didnt get finished and deal was set they said more than they thought even after looking at it. And pattern was already there so all had to feel in. Not going back.

Rob gave me 3 piercings- belly button and both ears (daith)! I felt nothing on my belly and just a pinch on my ears. He was so so kind and friendly. We had great conversation both with him, his wife, and the other 2 artists. Theyre not only friendly but very professional, understanding and gentle!! HIGHLY recommend!!

Rob was super helpful and calmed me down when I was nervous to get my tongue pierced. The actual piercing process didn’t really hurt! He went through all of the healing process steps with me. After the actual piercing, I felt like I was going to pass out for a second, but he was by my side that whole time making sure I was going to be ok. He kept me breathing, and eventually I felt fine afterwards and got up and started walking. He is super kind, funny, and a huge professional. I would recommend his shop and him to anyone who is looking to get a piercing. The place was very clean and inviting. 10/10 would go back again!

I went in yesterday to get my Medusa pierced and rob did fantastic. He marked the pierce spot perfectly on the first go and was very informative. The pierce itself was very quick and easy. Today, as I write my review, my face is not swollen even a tiny bit. Very happy with my service. Only bad part so far is that when you go to their Facebook page, it says the reply fast. It’s been about a month since I sent my message and no reply. Good thing I went somewhere else afterwards I guess. I’d still be waiting.

Took my teenager in to get her naval pierced today, so my Cool Mom status could maintain intact. Rob was amazing from start to finish!!! He documented all the necessary paperwork needed to pierce a 16 year old who has parental consent. Rob put us both at ease, right off the bat with his great sense of humor... Which was cool af, seeing as how, my spawn seemed a little nervous after climbing in the chair. He was also very diligent in making sure he had her full attention when discussing proper after care with her. Rob was super clear & concise, so I was immediately impressed in his ability to hold a teenagers focus for more that 30 seconds. Props man! 👏 Thank you guys so much!

Listen folks...I wouldnt go anywhere else for body piercings if I were you. We read reviews on any type of services were seeking, I will tell you theres a reason why this place is highly recommended. I brought my daughter here late night and Rob was beyond awesome! His staff and everyone were extremely professional and very CLEAN!!!

I was determined to get pierced on Halloween and every place we called had shut down early. Rob not only answered his phone, but said give me 30 mins and opened his shop back up for us. Hed been trick or treating with his kids so brought the whole family along. They were all very cool people to chat with. The piercing experience itself was professional and informative. He even checked on my friend and I in the days after to make sure everything was healing well. Five star stellar service and if I want anything else in the future Im definitely going back. GO SEE HIM!!!

UPDATE 2023: This review was in regards to Under Your Skin, the previous tattoo shop that was here. I have never been to ginger bear.Ive gotten two tattos here and its been a great experience both times. yesterday was my 19th so me and 3 friends did walkins (1 for a piercing and the rest of us for tattoos) and we all had a great time. Theyre really chill and upfront about everything. Ryan did my tattoo and he was really nice the whole time and he does dope lettering (and everything else lol).

Shop owner Robert Webb does a wonderful job and is very artistic in his designs which are fantastic and reasonably priced. The shop works very well hes very clean and sanitary. If you want to get a tattoo the place is one of the better places. When you go in ask for him. Small shop can be the best for custom work. Has that hometown barbershop vibe.

Took my 7 year old twins in to get their ears pierced today. Shop is very clean and sanitary. I felt way better about it then I did going to Claires. He made my girls feel at ease and excited about their ears. Ill definitely be returning for more!

I will never know. Went in looking for a couple memorial tats and was given the price of $160 for both. Was told they were busy that night to come back because they take walk ins. Went back 3 days later and was told to come back because they were busy. Went back a third time they were not busy this time but asked if I would work with a different tattoo artist. I said fine and they said she would probably charge more. She was going to do for $200. I guess they didnt want my business. They said they would take care of me and didnt. Im a little sad about it. Mainly because they are nice there and I believed them. I will find somewhere who will want my business.

I just got my ear lobes double pierced and a helix piercing and they are all amazing! Rob did a great job on me, my friend, and her mom and he told us how to take care of them. I would definitely recommend!

Rob is my hero! After suffering a migraine for weeks I went and had my daith (pronounced doth) pierced and was headache free before he even let me get out of the chair! Rob really knows his stuff and makes you so comfortable and is very informative. I was apprehensive regarding how it would feel but Rob had a soft touch and aside from a small pinch sensation it didnt hurt at all. I cant say enough about my wonderful experience. I had two existing tattoos on the same arm. I wanted to add to one and keep the theme of another. I gave the artist my ideas and he ran and turned them into an awesome tattoo. Very pleased. Great artist and staff!

Rob aka “Boogey Man” gave me an industrial piercing on my ear. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience. He was very kind, patient, and thorough with post-treatment instructions. I went in to Under The Skin to have my ears repierced after a previously botched job. Ryan studied them for a long time and told me I should see a plastic surgeon to have them stitched up and start over. I greatly appreciated his honesty as he could have repierced them and sent me on my way. The fact that he took so much time and put my interests ahead of making money attests to his character and his business practices. Once I am healed, I will be going back to Under The Skin to have Ryan do the job!

120 for 2 normal ear piercings. Tattoo artist was waaaay too confident about things no other artist in the area could claim..If you always have immediate availability then you have a problem with return customers.. Think; why wouldnt you want to return to a specific artist?Steer clear in my opinion

Rob pierced my daith while I had a migraine and I had instant relief. This man is a miracle worker if you get migraines. I highly highly recommend him. Absolutely amazing!!!

My husband and I went in for tattoos. Please do NOT let Rob (THE OWNER) touch you. He cannot tattoo. We came in for simple arrow tattoos. What is supposed to be a straight line, looks like a heart beat. When we asked for our money back, he proceeded to tell us that the tattoos would heal straight or he would fix them. WHY would we let him touch us again? He ignored all of our phone calls and texts about a refund. Save yourself some money from getting a cover up and do not let him touch you with a needle.

Rob Webb is absolutely AMAZING! Went to him for VHP and he was extremely professional, made us all feel completely comfortable, everything was beyond clean and sterile and I will go to him for all my piercing needs!

I dont like the idea of leaving negative reviews or feedback, at all. As a matter of fact, take a look at my Google or Facebook and youll see Ive never felt the need to do so. Until now. With so many other tattoo and piercing shops in central Indiana, I cant come up with any reason Id ever recommend someone taking a gamble on this one.What should have been a very simple and straightforward nose piercing, my first piercing of any kind in more than 20 years, turned into not only a total waste of time and money, but quite the frustrating experience too. I told Rob exactly what I was looking for, which was just a very plain and small silver stud in my nostril. My exact words were something to accent the gray in my salt-and-pepper hair and beard. I made it clear I did NOT want anything bold or flashy. There was no room for any misunderstanding on why I was there and what I wanted. Dont worry brother, I got you was his reply. Turns out, he most definitely did not. When he held up the mirror after the piercing I found myself staring at some chintzy-looking fake diamond rhinestone thing that was actually a nostril screw. Not anything close to what I told him I was there for. Dont worry brother, itll grow on you was his reply after I asked what in the hell this thing was in my nose. Come to find out the next day through our FB Messenger conversations that he didnt even have the hardware I told him I wanted. He knowingly stuck something in my face I specifically told him I did not want, presumably because he really needed that money.Since I was the last appointment of the night, I didnt push the issue too hard. Figured Id sleep on it, take another look in the morning and see if I was any less repulsed by it. I wasnt. I didnt like the fake little rhinestone look at all, and I really really really didnt like the sight of a screw hanging out the bottom of the inside of my nostril, either.Upon contacting him the next day through Messenger, the basic gist of his replies were that it was somehow all my fault, I said I wanted a piercing and thats what I got so whats your problem, youll have to schedule another appointment if you want it removed, I dont even have the jewelery you want, no Im not refunding your money, this matter is considered closed, etc etc. All very unpleasant blaming, denial of any responsibility. He can keep his little $50 if he really needs it that bad. I suppose the lesson to be learned for that price is that the next place I go to get the work done I wanted (and paid for) in the first place, is to keep my eyes locked on that piercing gun right up until the time it hits my nose.Thank God I didnt trust this guy with anything more permanent, like a tattoo.

Best experience ive had getting a piercing. Rob did my nose, was very clean and fast. Everyone in there was kind and making jokes, its good energy . Highly recommend

I saw Rob for a daith piercing to alleviate migraines and nausea. Rob knew exactly what I was asking about and was very knowledgeable about the science behind the piercing and how it helps migraines. The relief was immediate. The nausea, the cloudy thinking, the sensitivity to light, the headache. I highly recommend everyone to go see Rob and have this piercing done if you are a migraine sufferer.

Very kind people, I am very scared of needles and Rob held my hand and talked me through it. He is a very kind man and very professional. I got my daith pierced and it was very fast and quick. I got it for medical reasons and Rob was very caring about that with my migraines.

Quite literally wish I could rate negative stars. Totally messed up my tattoo, then proceeded to essentially ghost me after me wanting simply a fully covered up tattoo. Not to mention when they did it, the owner asked me not to write a bad review. Getting my tattoo removed , and recommending literally anyone to ever go here. So here’s your bad review :)

Awesome experience! Laid back chill shop.I had a great time getting to know the staff while I was there for my session. Ryan did an awesome job on all three pieces I had done that night. Awesome tunes, great convo, no stress. What more could you ask for? Ive had several other tattoos and piercings over the years at other shops and always felt like they were in a hurry to get it knocked out quick and get paid like a tourist parlor on spring break! Not concerned cause its a one and done and you wont be back. Ryan was willing to spend whatever time was needed to make sure I walked out a happy customer. What you did was art brother! Ive been to this shop several times. Twice for piercings and five for tattoos. I love this shop and the artist! I use to bounce around for my work, but since going here I cant see myself going anywhere else.

I have known Big Daddy for years and years of playing against his team in the fine sport of paintball. Couple years after retirement for me our paths crossed again and he invited me up to his studio. Being honest I was definitely impressed. I can definitely say that there is some ink by Big Daddy @ Under your skin in my near future.God bless America

I cannot express the level of gratitude I have for the artists and owner of this tattoo shop. My husband passed away and I asked Rob, the owner, if he could reproduce my husbands tattoos so that I could have them printed on canvas for me and my children. Rob worked with the funeral home and got photos of my husbands tattoos prior to his cremation. Working off of the photos alone, he was able to reproduce the art beautifully. My children and I are very grateful, this was a huge part of our memories that we have been able to keep and see every day.
