I got my 1st tattoo by Sergio yesterday. Not only was he very kind, polite, and professional, he is absolutely talented and skilled in his art form. I highly recommend him for any tattoo ideas you may have. He CRUSHED it!!! Do not hesitate to use him!

Monte, the artist, is relatable, intelligent, and down to earth. His art speaks for itself. Although I got a relatively simple piece this time, I intend to use him again when getting a FAR more complicated piece. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the other artists are very approachable. I look forward to revisiting when i need a steady and gifted hand for my next piece. Much love, yo!

Sketch provided yet another ideal experience for a first timer! He has been our artist and friend for many many years..... all three of my kids when turning 18 have received their 1st tattoo from him as a gift from me, I believe in setting their expectations high with the first tattoo... no regerts here!!

I visited Vault 74 with my best friend Sara yesterday so she could inquire about getting a tattoo. We were greeted immediately by Sergio who was very friendly & helpful in regards to my friend’s request for a tattoo. He provided a thorough explanation of the whole process & cost, along with showing us the amazing portfolio of his previous artwork which sealed the deal for her. She wasn’t planning on getting a tattoo that day, but Sergio had a cancellation, & he graciously offered to work her into his schedule within an hour! She gave Sergio her idea of what she wanted… a blank canvas, if you will. He used his skill & talent to create a unique, breathtaking piece of art! We were both impressed with the warm welcome, professionalism, knowledge & abilities of the artists in the shop. It was very clean, sterile, & the decor was beautiful as well. Sara is definitely a satisfied customer! Thank you for everything Sergio!

The shop was very clean. I had drawn up a tattoo which I wanted on my arm. The tattoo includes a small sketch of my dog in water and a phrase. The sketch had some shading in it. Sergio told me he would do his best to make the tattoo match the drawing. Overall, the tattoo is what I wanted. He did great on tapering the fine lines in the lettering (although he forgot to dot the i). When I questioned the lack of shadowing on my dogs face, he said it was very small and that Monte or another would be better at shadowing it but he wasnt sure he could. After a moment, he said he would try to add a bit more. I should have listened to him, as he ended up practically blackening my dogs eye. He told me that when he was originally done, he was showing me his work and not asking for feedback. He seemed hurt that I questioned it but again, it was my drawing on my arm. The appointment ended awkwardly for both of us. He didnt provide the cream I asked about and provided little aftercare instructions - I had to google it.

I can say the artist that was going to work on a arm piece. Was a big joke. Dont trust anyone who works at this place. You will get done wrong. This place is hidden for a reason. All good reviews are friends or Spanish...............

Getting my very first tattoo was a emotional and personal journey. Once I decided on what I wanted, the next step was to find the right place and the right tattoo artist. I chose vault 74 and my artist, Sergio..I could not be happier! Sergio is awesome. My vision for my tattoo was made 100% better by Sergio. Anyone looking for a first time tattoo or adding new ones, definitely check out the artist at vault 74! I cant thank Sergio enough for the amazing art that I now get to wear and be proud of.Lee S

Sketch did my tattoo in honor of my mother and her current battle with glioblastoma. He is professional and good at what he does. I would recommend him to any body.

Monte has been working on me for over 10 years now, he never ever disappoints! He recently laid a new piece on my forearm, my first below the elbow. He warned me of the sense of power this piece would yield. Well, lets just say that Monte under promised and over delivered, just like always! 6 weeks later and every day is some new realization of this! Vault 74 honestly is a level above!

Visited Sergio yesterday for two to three pieces. He was extremely kind, professional and helpful in the overall process. I went in with two definitive designs and a third that I needed some artistic guidance on. Hes helping me draw out my custom design now. I ended up getting two done and LOVE his work. The lines are extremely clean and consistent. Placement is solid. He took his time as one of the designs runs down my spine and he made sure it was perfectly placed. His hand is not heavy, like others I have experienced, which made the process even that much better. The studio is extremely clean! Thats always important to me as we all know needles need to go hand-in-hand with cleanliness. My best friend went with me and she complimented everything, as well. We also got to meet another tattoo artist while we were there. He was extremely pleasant and helpful. Its a solid environment and I will definitely be back. I think I have officially found my tattoo home. Thank you Sergio!!! :)

Went as a walk in and Sergio got us set up with a time for the same day. Came back and he had our stencils ready and got us taken care of. Beautiful work, clean shop, great banter between staff and customers. 10/10 will be going back!

Sergio was awesome, the most EFFICIENT artist ever. He knew exactly what I wanted & then some. I mentioned wanting to get my sons DOB prior to the appointment and for some reason I wrote down todays date…. Luckily he caught that before I had a random date tattooed on me for life lol He double, triple & quadruples checks just in case you don’t. All while providing outstanding services. I highly recommend this shop and even more working with Sergio. 10/10 experience

Absolutely immaculate vibes at this shop! Sergio did my traditional owl on my arm as a walk in and it turned out even better than the reference photo I gave him. He was also just as excited as I was. We immediately felted welcomed and safe here. If you’re looking for a new artist or shop this is your place!!

I gave Sergio my idea and he nailed it and got it done way faster than I thought! He is very professional and easy to get along with as well as the other artists. Already thinking about what my next piece will be.

Monte did an absolute amazing job on my piece today. He took a sketch I brought in last week, cleaned it up and made it look exactly how I envisioned it to be. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for quality work! A few things to add to that - the studio is clean and welcoming. Artists there are knowledgeable in their craft and they are easy to strike up a conversation with. Will definitely be going back to Monte for my future work.

I walked in with an idea of what I wanted, but Monte brought my vision to life! He stayed with what I wanted but offered ideas of what would make it even better. It was beyond what I had envisioned! My favorite tattoo by far! The place was so clean, not like typical tattoo shops. I couldnt have asked for a better experience and will recommend this shop to anyone!

So today I walked in to Vault 74 tattoo and I was met by Sergio. He was beyond kind and understanding on what I wanted into my next tattoo not only did he speak to me with confidence, but reassurance that I’ll be happy and he definitely nailed it. After searching for four years for a new tattoo artist he is definitely likely to be my go to guy.

This was an amazing experience, I got my tattoos done by sketch. He was extremely nice and considerate, there was an amazing environment, the other tattoo artist were very kind. Sketch is extremely skilled and knowledgeable in his work, I highly recommend!

Walked in for a tattoo and Monte drew out exactly what I described. He was awesome! He even took the time to mix up the perfect shade of rose gold for a portion of it. The shop was clean and bright and everyone was super friendly.

I cannot recommend Vault 74 enough. Everyone there is extremely friendly, talented and passionate about what they do. I have had the pleasure of meeting Sketch (my artist), Jose, and Monte, all of them were lovely to be around. Sketch is an extremely talented artist, and was really interactive with me throughout the process, and made me feel very comfortable especially during my first session. Monte did an amazing job on my half sleeve! His artwork is phenomenal and he really focuses on making the tattoo flow with where it is being placed on the body. This was my first tattoo but I spoke with other artists/shops, before finding Vault 74, they did not have the passion for their work like the artists here do. Monte also offers his input on what to add/change to your design... I would suggest listening to his advice because the changes he made is what everyone compliments me on now.

Sergio tattooed me today and it was one of the best tattoo experiences i have had. he was such a pleasant upbeat person, and i absolutely love my tattoo. he didnt pressure me with any placement or design suggestions, he gave me exactly what i asked for. i definitely recommend this shop, especially sergio!

My friend and I came in as a walk in and Sergio got us in pretty quickly. He was super nice and constantly communicating with us to let us know what was going on. He was absolutely great and did a great job on our tattoos!

This is based off customer service alone. Not sure how they were taught to run a business, but they are extremely rude to people and lie to you. Inquired about a tattoo from Monte, he said I’m to busy for that. He said he would pass me on to someone else. I wasn’t sure why, but said ok. He said they would reach out in a day. It’s been two weeks. No one will respond to my emails.

Sketch was my artist and would definitely recommend him! He was awesome- light handed, worked with me on my design, was open to discussing what style/size would be best. Very happy with my new boy 🐍

Just a heads up, if you get a tattoo by Monte you will receive compliments everywhere you go! Montes heart is in his work as can be seen by his unreal attention to detail. I couldnt be happier with the way my piece has evolved or my experiences in this shop. He will leave you with that “itch” for your next tattoo as soon as he finishes for the day.

Small personable shop. First class service and artistry. Great guys, would highly recommend. Dont go anywhere else. My artist was Jose flores, you can tell how hard he has worked to get to where he is. Those guys have a great cammraderie together and I enjoyed being there, they make make you feel welcome, such a great atmosphere they got going on.

This is yet the best tattoo studio in Indy. Three amazing artists in the same place. Custom made tattoos, just bring your idea and you will get a piece of art. They work by appointments only. Their work is beyond great. Go and check them out!! You wont regret it.

Monte is The Man when it comes to quality, expertise, and creativity. I explained my idea and he took it to a whole new level. He made sure the size and placement work with the body space and motion. I get nothing but complements everywhere I go. I would highly recommend Monte to anyone that is looking for a masterpiece. I cant recommend Sketch and Vault 74 Tattoo enough. Great artists, awesome space, super clean and friendly. Sketch has done my left half sleeve and just started my right half sleeve. I cant imagine going to another artist. If you want high quality tattoo work, this is the place to go.

Wonderful experience! I came in for just a tattoo and instead, I left with a beautiful masterpiece on my arm and felt like part of their family. His attention to detail gave my piece such an amazing dynamic that is such beautiful art. 5-Stars all the way!!!!!

I’ve been going to Sketch for a few years now. Went there today to add to a piece that he did last year. I had an idea of what I wanted but couldn’t quite narrow it down myself. I was blown away by what he hand drew on the spot. I love it so much; You will not be disappointed!

The artist at Vault 74 are exceptional and Jose Flores is an amazing visionary tattoo artist. I’m never disappointed in his work and I’m very proud to say I have a one of Indy’s best tattooist doing my rose work.Jose, Monte and Sketch have this trifecta chemistry of mutual respect and you can feel that vibe when you walk through the door. I stopped in for a tattoo today and all I can say is Monte is a God among men. His hands felt like velvet and his voice could soothe an angry bear. I actually temporarily forgot he was tattooing me cause we had such a physical and spiritual bond I got lost in the moment. Not only will you get an amazing tattoo, you will look into the eyes of God and know that life is great and that this place will solve all of your problems. It cures cancers, it pays debts, it brings back lost loved ones, it can do it all. Basically what Im trying to say is, the place is nice. Get tattooed there.
