I had gotten my tattoo done by Danielle and i absolutely LOVE IT! this was my first ever tattoo and she was super sweet and made sure i was comfortable and feeling okay. i had showed her a reference photo and i walked out with a completely custom piece. she does some of the most amazing work and i just love it. she had an apprentice with her too and she was super funny and i loved how the three of us could just talk about anything and it was still fun. the atmosphere was amazing and overall the staff was funny and awesome. i will definitely be coming here again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I have gotten large pieces from both Kassee and Ari and it’s the best work I’ve ever gotten on my body. Everything from the consultation to the tattooing process was seamless, professional, and most importantly (to me at least) very fun. I will absolutely get as much of my body done as I can afford.

I love it here! The vibe is always nice, everyone is friendly and always greets you. I have had a piece done by Kassee and she was absolutely great. It was a coverup so it was a tricky piece that we went back and forth on for a few weeks. She was always very receptive to my changing ideas and my likes. She did a great job and I can’t wait for the next big one! The shop was always clean, the bathroom is cute and considerate for female guest.

I highly recommend choosing here for a tattoo! I walked in with a drawing that I had been wanting to get tattooed for a while, and it turned out better then I could have imagined . The lines are super clean and a perfect balance between delicate and bold. This was my first tattoo and the experience was great, so calming and my artist was incredibly sweet. The customer service was just as great as the work itself. Definitely will come back if I ever want another tattoo.

Called sunday and scheduled an appointment for today (tuesday) and was excited to finally get my tattoo finished. called to confirm the time today an hour before i went in. they said there isn’t anything scheduled for me and the woman i spoke to must’ve not put me in. they said they normally wouldn’t make an appointment without a deposit and yet i was never asked for a deposit. the appointment was definitely scheduled for today. i had a whole conversation with her about the size of my tattoo, how long it might take, the price per hour, and if they take credit card or if i should bring cash. confirmed the appointment day and time again before hanging up. mistakes happen but nobody likes their time being wasted. cancelled plans for literally nothing.

What an amazing tattoo shop, first time at this studio & so thrilled. AJ the owner is fantastic, friendly, accommodating & down to earth. We felt welcomed with open arms. Big shoutout to Vinny our artist who absolutely killed our tattoos, we are so happy with the outcome. You are beyond talented, we cannot wait to be back!! The studio in itself is clean & comfortable. All of the artists here are super professional, friendly & amazing at their craft. What a great atmosphere to spend a few hours. We look forward to coming back in the near future. I had the most awesome time getting a tattoo from Ari! She was so sweet and efficient, making the whole experience really pleasant. Plus, her crochet creations are seriously the coolest! The tattoo healed up nicely and the colors are just stunning 😍 Cant wait to go back to Ari for more ink in the future!

Called in the morning to ask about some line work and they fit us in that afternoon. The shop is clean and welcoming and Vic made us feel at home and did a fantastic job. If Im ever in town again, Ill be back for more work.

Vik and Juneau are both amazing tattoo artists and people! They were very professional and made sure you knew what was going on the whole time. My family came in and got 3 amazing tattoos, the line work was really neatly done! I’ll definitely be coming back for more tattoos and the atmosphere!

The tattoo that I got was a year and a half in the making. It was going to be the first tattoo that I got that would mean everything too me. I needed the right tattoo artist and Danielle was definitely the right person to do my tattoo. From start to finish she was amazing and my tattoo came out great even better then what I could have imagined it would have looked like. I have a few other tattoos and I plan on getting a few more. Danielle is the only artist that I trust to put ink on my body.

I’ve been going to Ari for all my tattoos for years now! I’ll never see another artist. She’s the best! Everyone at Midnight Angel has such a great vibe, I’ve loved everyone I’ve come into contact with there. I’ve been following Ari around at a few different studios, but this one is by far my favorite atmosphere! Highly highly recommend.

My experience with Danielle and her entire shop is nothing short of amazing. I have to start off by saying this place was wonderful! Very Clean, Very friendly staff, and overall just an amazing environment. I was tattooed by Ari and she was amazing I loved her and would recommend her to everyone I know. She tattooed beautifully and will definitely be going back to her! I have been to many tattoo shops in the area and across the country and NONE of them have made me feel as welcomed, calmed, and accepted as Midnight Angel has!! I am a client turned front desk receptionist for this shop, but there truly is nowhere else Id rather be. Ive gotten multiple pieces done by Kassee and she always makes sure I am comfortable and is respectful of my needs. I have also gotten pieces done by Vik, Vinny, and Jazz and they also are amazing artists who Id trust fully for your tattoo needs! Above all else, the overall environment is one of acceptance, positivity, and happiness. Im proud to not only work here, but to be able to be a client to showcase the amazing art these artists produce!

Lovely tattoos studio in Groton/Mystic, Connecticut! My artist was Zoom Willow aka Ari! She did both Chest & arm piece sin the last 2 years. She has a gentle hand & is super welcoming & accommodating. She let me play my own music & sleep. She offered snacks, blankets, comfort, conversation & was overall an amazing tattoo artist!

Just got my second tattoo after about 30 years at Midnight Angel Studio by Chris. I am totally satisfied and it came out awesome. I went in with two different pictures that I wanted put together and Chris did an absolute amazing job putting them together. I highly recommend Midnight Angel to anyone looking to get a tattoo in the area. The shop itself is very clean. Everyone is friendly and the energy is absolutely great. Speaking as both a client of a few artists as well as an artist who has worked here from apprenticeship to artistry. This whole shop has been a safe haven for everyone no matter who you are. Danielle took on my wife and myself as apprentices at the start and has been so patient with us in learning the whole process, a year later we’re artists, as for artwork, I have had work done by myself, kassee and a few others, the quality of everyone’s work shows as we are all happy here, we love what we do and honestly, I’d suggest this place over anywhere else, it is a safe haven for everyone and has given the community so much that I feel proud to say I have had work done with midnight Angel studio and proud to work here as well.

I had went in to get a tragus piercing with Emily and I ended up getting 3 more piercings from her because of her expertise. She made the whole process super easy and made me feel comfortable! I have gotten 4 tattoos done here specifically done by kassee and I have loved all of them. The atmosphere here is amazing and has great vibes. I had a piece done that meant so much to me and I had the confidence and trust in Kassee to ask her to help make the memories of my passed love ones reality and she did an amazing job I can’t get over how good the tattoo was. I was able to get both a nostril piercing from the amazing Emily , and a wrist tattoo from Vik both done in less than 2hrs .They were amazing , friendly , welcoming . Planning to go back and get a few more ink . I would definitely recommend this place .

I had come here on my first tattoo and vacation trip. The area is quiet and beautiful. My first tattoo was a great experience as well as the friendly staff team they have and awesome vibes. My artist Juneau was very sweet and soft spoken. She was very caring of my questions and even let me experience the needle in other places to test my pain tolerance. I didnt feel a THING. Very nice, great place to get a good tattoo. Would recommend, going back for more future tatts!

Lovely studio! Very bright, clean and cozy. I have been getting tattooed by Chris for a decade and he knocks it out if the park every time. I have everything ranging from neo traditional to realism- I feel like a true artist can adapt to create whatever their client is looking for. I have some color pieces done by him that are just as vibrant as the day that I got them five to ten years ago. Posting a few here. I also have a very low pain tolerance and he’s always very patient and understanding. Can’t recommend him enough. I’ve been coming to this studio for a while. Everyone working there are amazing and talented artists! I love how relaxing and welcoming the establishment is. Definitely keep them in mind when going for a tattoo or piercing!!

I am hoping that this review won’t be hidden from mass reports again and this will be taken with seriousness or at the least encourage growth or professionalism.I have several tattoos from a multitude of artists at the shop. I want to preface this review saying that there are talented people who work here and it certainly is a one of a kind studio in the area that can hold a lot of potential.But talent and artistry can only take a shop so far, the soul of the shop needs to reflect the art.Last year I was a frequent customer. After unsavory experiences in another local shop that had brought me discomfort in regards to my autonomy I was excited to discover MAS. I had brought friends with me to bring in more clientele, especially for the apprentices who I had full trust and faith in. Even in gratuity services I always tipped heavy and bragged loudly to people who commented on my work.I stopped going to this shop after an incident with a client I brought into the shop. She had a sternum tattoo she desperately desired coverup work for. The apprentice she was working with dragged her feet on booking and design and at times had poked fun at my friend for feeling discomfort sending reference pictures that exposed private areas of her. She had opted to wear pasties for the reference picture and expressed repeatedly that she was nervous to send, albeit she understood the need for the photo. This client was 19 at the time of the incident.Over the course of a few weeks while the artist was designing the tattoo (in which the client had sent an entire Pinterest board of inspiration pictures and had to reach out multiple times in regards to booking because she wanted to pay/have her sternum fixed before summer so she could feel confident in her body again) I personally paid witness to the artist showing the “progress” photos of design to a plethora of people; other clients, friends, and even my own ex. No one who had consent to see her exposed body, and a simple fix that hiding a layer could have resolved and created non conflict.I can understand showing your mentor a picture like this to help grow in design and come up with solutions. However the repeat offense in showing this photo of a 19 year olds exposed chest was alarming. It took away her consent and autonomy, which were major factors in why we all had gone to this shop. It was a similar feeling to a HIPPA violation. When approached the apprentice was reactionary and harmful instead of apologetic and wishing to reconcile the connection with the client. The apprentice proceeded to approach the situation by petty internet discourse, causing us to no longer support the shop.I am in the process of also having a coverup done by the same artist who freehanded my own sternum tattoo and left me with an atrocity after a second appointment. And while I’ve seen that this apprentice is now a graduated artist and has some of her work grow, I don’t believe she’s a safe person to trust with my autonomy and after witnessing her erratic and reckless behavior, anyone else’s.It’s disheartening, and I’ve sat on these thoughts for a while. I want to see every local business thrive, but seeing my friends confidence shatter and fear develop over the last year after having her private areas exposed, I can’t sit in silence.

I’ve been pierced both my robin and her apprentice, who is now licensed and for good reason! all my piercings there have been professionally done and well maintained. as well with caring for their clients. would love to go back !!!

Called on a Wednesday to schedule a piercing. They told me I didn’t need an appointment and to walk in bc they knew that there would be a piercer there for me. Called again on Friday 2 times and called on Saturday when I was suppose to get the piercing and they assured me once again that a piercer would be there for me and then when I show up on time for my piercing the piercer wasn’t there and they couldn’t get ahold of her. Very unprofessional and disappointing considering I was looking forward to it since Wednesday and I’ve had a positive experience here before. Idk if it’s just bad communication or what but I’m not happy that I left with no piercing.

Kassee did my tattoo and she was fantastic. I had an idea and she drew up exactly what I wanted. I have to go back for the color but it might take a couple more months since I came all the way from Missouri. I could not be happier with my experience and have recommended Kassee to my friends, a couple of them are in Baltimore so its not quite as far for them.

I went to midnight angel for the first time and it has been one of the most welcoming tattoo shops I’ve ever been too. I went and saw Ari and she’s amazing and extremely talented.

My first ever tattoo was done at midnight angels by Kassee! She has been able to make all my creation and vision of my tattoos come to life! She is a wonderful artist, she takes her time and makes sure everything is perfect! Patience is one thing Kassee never runs out of! Kassee also has affordable prices that are not extremely outrageous and provides quality work. I will continue to come back to her with all my future tattoos. Regarding everyone else in the shop they are so welcoming and friendly and make sure to engage with you to make your experience one to remember!

I Was informed of a flash event for mental health, and after talking with Ari I was allowed to do a non standard one that was in line with the theme so long as I drew it myself. They were able to take my design and did a great job!! I am super happy with it!! Even my kiddo loved it! Enough to sharpie it on himself. I have plans to go back to Ari for a Haunter

I had an excellent experience with @zoomwillowtattoos at Midnight Angel. I was able to walk in, pick my artist, conduct a consultation, and get tattooed the same day. It turned out just like I’d hoped. If you’re a submariner in Groton or live in the area and looking for some fresh ink, I definitely recommend checking them out!

I came here for my first tattoo ever! My artist, Juneau Geck IS EXCELLENT!!! I called one day to look for availability, and I am so glad that I chose Midnight Angel Studio!! I had a pretty long session. Juneau kept checking in on me to make sure that I was doing okay and was comfortable, offered many breaks, and was very personable! The entire environment was super friendly and welcoming! The shading done on my piece is beautiful and I am in love!!! Thank you so much Juneau Geck!

I made the decision to finally get a new tattoo after a 11 year break. Couldnt choose where to go but several friends and coworkerd all go to Midnight Angel. I had great correspondence with Chris from the start. Everyone was accomodating and made you feel comfortable from start to finish. Great conversation. No unanswered questions or bad vibes. Cant wait to finish this sleeve and get started on the other. I wont be going anywhere else and would not hesitate recommending this studio to anyone else!

If you’re looking for a tattoo shop that is professional and friendly this is it. I have been going to Danielle for years for numerous tattoos and every time she absolutely nails it. I love the shop and how open it is. They also offer numerous other services such as piercings, hair cuts and massages. But hands down for tattoos I highly recommend Danielle or Chris top tier artist!

Danielle was able to fit me in last minute and I am so grateful. Her work is absolutely stunning. I love her flower work and detail so I got small flowers and script saying “forever in my heart” under my collarbone. The original design I created had some flaws but she recreated it into a more beautiful design. Throughout she kept asking me my opinion on it and if I liked it, and was willing to do any adjustments to make sure I loved what is now permanently on my body. She was very professional, kind, and easy to talk to throughout the entire appointment. The studio is gorgeous and very clean. Everyone there is extremely kind and welcoming. 5 stars and I highly recommend booking an appointment with her at her new studio!

My husband was a first timer, I had gotten one when I was back in college. The place was super clean, awesome atmosphere, and the people were just the best. Our tattoos were simple but Chris took the time to discuss the pros and cons of placement and styleand his input was so important to making our tattoos look perfect. She is an extremely talented artist who’s work is worth the hour drive that it takes me to get to her. I am constantly complimented and asked who does my artwork.As a female I want a very feminine look and I am very picky about the detail work, Danielle nails it every time.If you want QUALITY art (and you should!) look no further.Her new studio is the embodiment of her love for her craft. The studio is clean, bright and not intimidating. Highly, highly recommend.

My girlfriend and I were pierced here by Robin. She made the process quick and ensured all equipment was sterile and explained the aftercare and healing process well. Would definitely recommend others come here for a piercing as well.

Danielle (the owner) has such a beautiful shop here. I love how theres white glitter on the walls, and the gothic / femininity décor of the shop is right up my alley. I came for a Friday the 13th flash. The piece was palm-sized and Danielle did such a great job that I decided to book an apt to get the piece colored & shaded. Her linework is so neat. The shop is clean and I would recommend to friends & family.

Morgan Duffy in the salon part of the studio did an amazing job color correcting and toning my hair, her scheduling was flexible and she did a flawless job - my hair looks amazing and she was extremely professional and careful with it the whole time!

I see Ari, she is Amazing, my sister saw another artist and her tat was gorgeous as well! Very fair pricing to boot, love this shop!
