Had an absolutely fantastic experience with Vicky. Despite being newer to the industry, shes far and away more talented and more skilled than many a decade+ in. I went for her mashup style (b/w realism combined with color neo-trad) as part of her wanna-dos while waiting for a future custom ink, and it is extraordinary.Environment is so calming, chill, clean, inviting, and fun. We had a funny, lighthearted afternoon and cant wait to do it again. I *am* a wheelchair-user, with a complex disability, and this shop is on the second floor, without an elevator. I knew this going in and agreed to go up on my bum. But! They were absolutely willing to do and try everything they could to make it possible, safe, comfortable, etc, to get me up. The same was true with my health during the tattoo. I was always considered in all the unique ways I need aid. It went off without a hitch! (P.S. The bathroom was spacious and clean, and fit a wheelchair once upstairs.) 10/10 will recommend to all!

This is hands down the best Tattoo experience I’ve ever had. (Granted it’s only my second time getting a tattoo). However, Vicky was super kind. She made the experience easy. I’m super happy with the design. I also will always remember don’t pick a tattoo place where you feel it’s less likely to hurt. She will make sure that you’re still doing okay. The shop was super cute!! I will definitely want to come back again!

Blue Bird has become my absolute favorite tattoo shop! the energy, the people, everything about the place manages to make me happy every time. The upbeat music, the comfylounging spaces, snacks and drinks, i mean they have got you COVERED! my bees and luna moth were done by Vicky, and my flash pieces all happened to all be done by Sutton! i cant wait to get more from here :)

My husband and I drove 2.5 hours to get tattooed by Jess, and it was worth every minute! She creates such a comforting environment, perfect for first timers. Missi did my first tattoo almost 20 years ago, and I drove from Wisconsin for my most recent. She absolutely nailed it, a pet portrait of my sweet Homer cat, mixed with Studio Ghibli love. I had my second tattoo done at this shop today. I love the atmosphere there. The music ,Lots of amazing art on the walls to look at while you are getting your tattoo. Everyone on the staff is so kind and attentive. Vicki is Fantastic!! She is so sweet and professional. I trusted her right off the bat and appreciated her recommendations for size and placement of my design. Blue Bird is easily my favorite place to get a tattoo in this area. I’ve gotten two of my flash tattoos from there and went back in June for a piece I had wanted for years at that point. I got it done by Missi herself and oh my gods did she do amazing it’s exactly how I had always envisioned it and she was beyond a joy to have do it and the vibe she puts out is just incredible . The conversations with her and just around the studio kept me entertained the whole time I was in the chair. Definitely recommend!

I went and saw Vicky and she gave me everything I wanted! I got a realistic mushroom with a wild thing leaning against it for my babies. Vicky gave me something I love to show everyone I meet, and something I’ll be proud to have on my body forever. She is detail oriented, extremely talented, easy to talk to, she changed her gloves at least 587 times while I was there, everything was neat/clean/organized, the environment and other staff there were so kind and funny! They gave me a blanket when I started to have a tooth chatter and was scared I’d mess her up. She checked in a minimum of 34 times to make sure I was doing okay and offered me free snacks! It’s a wonderful to be and get tattooed! Thank you Vicky! You are amazing at what you do and SO MUCH fun to work with! I hope I see you again soon, friend🖤

I got my first colored tattoo from Vicky as a flash design. She made my experience super comfortable, and was incredibly supportive and kind. I loved the atmosphere and would definitely come back! Blue bird tattoo studio is THE BEST! Everyone is so kind and welcoming there. I got tattooed by Vicki when she first started out, and went recently for a 2nd tattoo. Coming in to get my first tattoo, I was so nervous! I was so worried about the pain and how the tattoo would heal. But, once I got there and settled in, I felt so at ease. Vicky was so patient with me; she explained everything to me beforehand and checked in with me frequently. The whole vibe of the shop was so welcoming, the girls really made me feel that I wasn’t just another client. I can’t wait to come back for another one! 😊

I got a helix piercing here and Jill was amazing. I felt safe and comfortable in her environment, and didn’t feel like she was rushing the process. She was very gentle and always made sure I was okay. Definitely recommend her she is very thorough in her work and is such a friendly piercer to talk to. There’s so many wonderful things to say about Blue Bird Tattoo Studio but these 2 lovely piece that i most recently got were done by Vicky !! I was honored to be her first start to finish color (the mushroom) and soon will be getting color for my pretty lil fairy lady ! I couldn’t be more excited and happy with the art and ideas Vicky comes up with, all I have to do is give her a couple of ideas and she works her magic of putting it all together for you :)

I recently had the pleasure to work with Vicki at Tattoo Mania in Pittsburgh, PA. She made sure I was comfortable (ate, took breaks, etc.) the entire time. Her talent is truly amazing. I live around four hours away from the shop, but I plan on making a trip in the future to continue working with her.

My mom and I went in today to get our noses pierced, and OMG we had the BEST experience here at blue bird! Sam (the front desk clerk) (i think her name was) was super helpful and sweet and really helped us through all the paperwork and nerves. and Jill the piercer, there are not enough words in the world to describe how amazing she was. she walked us through the entire process and was super gentle. she had an awesome sense of humor and i couldn’t be happier with my experience here today! will definitely be back for more

I went to this shop to purchase a new navel and nose ring, even called before hand to let them know I was interested in purchasing jewelry. Upon arrival I wait about 5 minutes to see Jill. I explain to her that I still have the original jewelry in that I was pierced with because I have sensitive skin, a suspected nickel allergy, and I am weary of purchasing the wrong things. She assures me that all her jewelry is skin safe and does not contain any nickel. I end up purchasing a titanium navel ring ($45) and gold nose ring ($75). When I get home I try on my new jewelry the nose ring is too large. Call the shop and the lady at the front desk informs me due to shop policy, once jewelry is worn it cannot be returned. Confused by that response I ask for a refund, just for the nose ring, and she says no. I politely explain that I was just in the shop and am confused why they cannot work with me in any way, so she puts Jill on the phone who proceeds to tell me the same thing. She also said that if I want a smaller ring Ill have to pay another $75. She then says that it was requested of her to not install my jewelry-which was never asked. Mind you, she never measured my nose or anything, just eyeballed the size and sent me on my way. After some time she agrees to give me a ring thats a size smaller and Ill have to return the larger ring. When I get to the shop the lady at the desk has the smaller ring on the counter for me and I ask if Jill can install it or measure me, just something to remedy to solution so I do not have to come back and am happy with the fit. She then goes in the back probably 8 different times to talk to Jill and parrotts back something different to me each time. At this point Im frustrated, just asking to talk to Jill so that Im not out $75 for something that I cannot even wear. Finally, Jill decides to face me and says that I can just take both the large and the smaller nose ring and leave or whatever. I ask if she can install the jewelry to be positive it fits and she insisted that Ill have to pay $75 again just for installation and a refund is out of the question. With no other choice I then leave with both nose rings and the navel ring. Upon arriving home I try the smaller nose ring in and it is too small, so I put in the larger one for a day or two and what do you know? My nose is now infected, so the gold that was sold to me is most likely cheap metal containing nickel. Now Im out $75 and a chunk of my sanity. Please never go here if you want professionalism and respect because this place is seriously lacking.

I have had the pleasure of visiting Blue Bird for both piercings and a tattoo!In November of 2023, Vicky drew up and tattooed the cutest little creation to celebrate my passion for baking. It healed so beautifully, the colors stayed nice and pigmented. I’m blown away by Vicky’s fine line and small lettering work, she did an amazing job and was so so sweet and fun to work with!In January of 2024, Jill re-did my nostril and second lobe piercings that I originally had done in college. She was so gentle and SO thorough. She explained every single detail of what she was doing and why, being sure to advise and explain about any potential allergens. I could not be happier with how the piercings turned out and I’m excited to get through the healing process!I am already planning my next trips to see these wonderful women—I highly recommend.

Came in for a Helix piercing. The shop was definitely clean, everything disinfected, the piercer, nicknamed Stitcher was wondering. She was very knowledgeable, very friendly, and very easy to talk to. I would definitely recommend her. Will definitely be going back.

Missi created the gilmore girls tattoo of my dreams! Her eye for detail is unreal. She was comfortable with me just reading my book and not talking a whole lot during my appointment. Her shop within the studio is the best and I left with 2 stickers and a new cup. Definitely will return in the future whether it is to see Missi or someone else in the studio.

Beth gave me my first tattoo this week and its amazing. I was a very nervous first timer and I was seriously worried about it looking like a cartoon but my worries were totally unwarranted. I gave Beth a few photos of examples of what I wanted and what she did blew me away, its above and beyond what I could have expected. She told me its the most detail she has ever put in a tattoo of this size. And it only took 2 hours. I will be back if I get another tattoo! (which I probably will since you cant have just one) Thank you Beth!!!

Upon walking in the door for the first time, I was immediately greeted with multiple smiles and hello’s. I immediately felt welcome and comfortable. Vicky handled a minor scheduling conflict with grace and professionalism. She rectified the situation and did amazing work when working on my tattoo. She worked especially hard on making sure the design was what I liked/wanted. She took her time and showed she really cared about her work. My overall experience was amazing. This shop/collective/studio is hands down my favorite tattoo shop I have ever been too. It’s filled with the kindest most welcoming people I have ever met. Missi Blue did my memorial tattoo of my dog and the level of talent, skill, and care she put into it was astounding. After care was gone over with me and not skipped because I have other tattoos and I left with some dope stickers. There are also cool things to buy for your home as well as skate gear. I drove almost four hours for this appointment and I would gladly do it again. The vibes of the entire shop are light, fun, and safe. The environment is clean and well lit. I can not say enough good things about the atmosphere of the shop and the all around loveliness of the people in it.

It was my first time at Blue Bird tattoo and I can’t recommend it enough. Mossiael helped me and took an idea/picture of what I wanted and made it into the perfect piece. The communication was great, the shop is very clean, and everyone working there is really nice. I’ll definitely be going here in the future.

Jill was super nice and professional with my nostril piercing from the other day! she walked me through the process as if it was a first time piercing, showed me how the jewelry worked, and explained what she was using and what it did. she made the process seem much less intimidating and provided quick service. Not to mention the staff member at the desk, I didnt quite catch her name but she was also very nice and very professional. I am very satisfied with Jill and her work, as well as the overall service. I will definitely be back in the future for more piercings!!

I came in a week ago today to get my nose pierced. I was so nervous and have been wanting my nose pierced for a while but kept chickening out! Well last week I searched and found Blue Bird I am so happy I chose to go there! Everyone we interacted with was AMAZING! Jill was wonderful explained everything and took her time with me so I could get myself ready! I would recommend them to anyone! I live in Delaware now but if I want anymore piercings I will for sure be coming back to Jill! Shoot I might even come in and get another tattoo! Highly recommend this shop! You won’t be disappointed!

Highly recommend this shop! My 9 year old son had his ears pierced here. The ladies were very friendly and we received prompt service for our walk in piercings. My son and I had a great experience. My wife had previous ink done by Missi Blue and it still looks great today after 9 years. She is looking forward to more.

I got tattooed by Missi during a flash she did for her birthday/Valentines day (2019). She was very organized and had us sign in and choose our design.In addition to being professional, Missi is super friendly and easy to talk to. Shell listen to your ideas and execute them perfectly! Her work speaks for itself.My friend and I got tattooed today (2023) by Vicky, and she made it such a pleasurable experience. She made sure before we started that we had been prepared to sit for our tattoos and triple checked we were good with placement. Vicky was so kind and made sure to take the time to make any adjustments we needed (which were very few). In addition to being a great artist, Vicky was great company during the process as well, and felt like an instant friend. I can’t wait to go back!

Bluebird tattoo is one of the best places to go get a tattoo. Almost all of my tattoos are from bluebird and i have had the best experiences. Most importantly a piercing/piercings by Jill Stitcher. I have gotten 3 piercings done by Jill, and she has made me and everyone else i know feel so comfortable with the process and piercing itself. She is also the best and most trustworthy piercer i have ever come across. If she believes that the piercing could potentially hurt you or reject, she will let you know unlike other piercers who just pierce you anyway regardless of what they think may happen. The way my ear piercings heal is by swelling very bad. She pierced the flat part of my ear and it swelled really bad but she made sure i was okay and fixed me right up. Jill is by far the BEST piercer you should go to. I very highly recommend her. Ive seen the way she works with the little kids too and makes them feel extremely comfortable. She has little stuffed animals to grip onto and squeeze to make the process feel less scary. GO TO JILL!!!!

Ive been seeing Missi regularly for nearly all of my tattoo needs since 2014. Shes awesome to work with, excellent with color—especially American traditional stuff, which is what I usually ask of her—and really easy to spend hours around. Her line work is super solid and the colors look the most amazing when you just let her do her thing! Definitely the best tattooer around. A million extra special bonus points for not being a creepy dude.

Mossiael was my tattoo artist and they did an AMAZING job! I have been wanting a Studio Ghibli tattoo with soot sprites for a while and they did a phenomenal job - one of my new favorite tattoos! I also love their color work, attention to detail, and artwork in general. My husband and I will be going to Mossiael for future anime, gaming, and Pokemon tattoos!The shop as a whole was clean, professional, and one of the most welcoming tattoo shops Ive been in. I have been getting tattooed by her for about either years, at three different locations. Ive gotten three tattoos on my legs and have been in the middle of a sleeve for a little over a year now. I found Beth on IG and was so excited to visit for a tattoo. The shop was exactly what I was hoping for.1) They were being very responsible regarding COVID restrictions. I appreciate that they are looking out for clients. Also, I can trust that they will still be operating when my appointment arrives. I have seen a lot of places close because someone inside the business got sick. No one wants to wait 5 weeks for an appointment and it gets canceled. Also, its a further example of the shop’s cleanliness.2) I’ve been in some unpleasant tattoo shops with too many big egos. I didn’t get this here. They were all kind, professional and focused on making clients happy and doing good work.3) Beth gave me exactly what I wanted but didn’t shy away from making suggestions that would improve the piece.I plan to return! A+++

Missi is currently working on a full sleeve for me. I am blown away by the detail and precision of her work! Ive had numerous compliments already when it was just the line work - the lines are bold, steady, and crisp! Now that we have started color, she is bringing life to this piece! Her choice of colors, shading, and commitment to small details is impeccable. I can not wait to see it finished. I recommend Missi to anyone and have had numerous strangers stop me to compliment her work!

The atmosphere of this shop is amazing and i did enjoy my time here! until i got home and noticed the same day that my tragus was pierced extremely close to the edge of the skin and had to be taken out because it was hanging on by a thread. this happened in july, and i hope customers after me have had better luck getting pierced here, especially paying more than most other shops in the area.

So far I have only come in for a piercing, but I highly recommend this shop. Everyone I encountered was friendly and professional. The shop was very clean and features a boutique-style gift shop full of goods by local artists. The piercer takes walk-ins, has a nice selection of jewelry, and talks through every step of the process. I had a great experience here and can’t wait to come back.

Missi was amazing to work with in designing a very meaningful tattoo for me. Her shop is clean and she is a very talented artist. I love my watercolor tulip, and look forward to future tattoos at her new studio.

I got a tattoo yesterday by the wonderful Missi Blue and she knocked it outta the park. There are a ridiculous amount of straight lines in it and theyre all perfect. Everything looks so crisp, the colors are bold and even, Im just in love. She was amazing to have tattoo me and I felt so comfortable in her shop I will be recommending her to all my friends. My anxiety disappeared the minute I walked in that door, too. Ill continue to drive up to her shop even after I move to Middle River - its totally worth it. Cant wait for the next one!

Missi did my very first tattoo back in 2010 or 2011. It is a pretty big tree of life on my upper back. She absolutely nailed what I wanted. It has aged beautifully and I haven’t had to touch it up! I just wish I lived closer so I could get more work done by her now!

A wonderful tattoo shop in the heart of downtown Hanover. Easy parking next to club 2000 in the lot. Beth is a great artist and I have been extremely happy with her work. Very clean. Bright and colorful. Full of art works and merch but not cluttered.

Came by for a walk-in piercing and the studio wasn’t even open. If the hours have changed it would be nice if they were posted. Not a good first experience here :/
