The Electric Chair Tattoo & Piercing

Our piercer was so incredibly patient and kind with our little girl. We brought our 10 month old baby in to get her ears pierced since they use a needle and not a gun. Her very curious and talkative 3.5 year old brother came to support her and apparently chat with our piercer 😂 he was so understanding of her and her needs, she did cry a lot but got over it rather quickly and is doing great this evening. They gave us sea salt to use during the healing process and an instruction/care sheet to take home.

Recently got 2 double helix’s done and prices are pretty good compared to other shops. The guy who pierced me asked me if his markings were even and I said my right ear piercing was a little uneven compared to my left ear. He proceeded to tell me that it’s not and basically gaslit me. Now my helix’s are uneven and they’re different lengths from each other. It’s whatever but that just pissed me off. Why ask me if you were just going to do whatever you wanted to do. Now I’m stuck with 2 uneven helix’s.

I received my first ever tattoo from Joey here. The place was very clean and tidy, and Joey was very respectful and courteous. The tattoo turned our great and Im very satisfied with the service.

I absolutely ADORE Joey Fontes incredible body art. I have five Joey Fontes tattoos and he did matching helix piercings for me and my daughter. Hes a true creative visionary; I know that if I give him an idea or bit of inspiration, he will come back with a mind blowing incredible design. Amazing line work and attention to detail. Best bonus? Im a trans man and this is an LGBTQ friendly shop. I think Id only cheat on Joey with Alex Grey. Cant recommend harder. 11/10 would get tatted again!

My mother recently died, and so I Wanted to honor her with a tattoo. I am 70. The first thing I noticed when I walked in, was that it was very clean. The young man came and let me pick out the Font, he was Enormously helpful as I conveyed my idea to him he exceeded my expectations. And his price was extremely fair and reasonable. I was ecstatic with the outcome.

Great experience, Puppet was my artist and hed give ample time to decide and make changes if you have your own design. Very clean and hygiene. I recommended my friend and he too had his first tattoo done here.

For my first time getting pierced it was a great experience. The wait was short, the customer service was great, and me and my mom paid a pretty fair price for it all.

I called before going , and was told what they required. Very great experience. I took my 4 month old baby to get her ears pierced. Oscar was very patient and nice. Did a great job on placement of earrings even though my baby kept moving and crying. Also only cash is accepted and they have an ATM. Highly recommend, reasonably priced.

I have used this parlor for a while now and I have never once regretted it. Coming here was the best decision I have ever made and I will keep going to them. Every time I go to the parlor, I know I will get great service. Joey took the drawing I gave him and improved it by 100. I am absolutely in love with my tattoo. I am looking forward to getting more from him. The whole experience was very relaxed and I felt comfortable. Also, cant beat the prices as I feel like they are very reasonable. Worth every penny and I know I will be coming back for more tattoos in the future.

I went to them for a third hole in each ear, and left with uneven piercings and a bag of salt to care for the wounds. I’ve developed a scar on my right ear. Everyday I wish I had gone elsewhere.

This is the first time I’ve ever reviewed a tattoo shop but Joey was just too great I had to! I had a bad finger tattoo I needed fixed and I could not be happier with how it came out. He literally saved my hand. Not to mention he’s super awesome! DEFINITELY will be back!!

I Came here to get my snake eyes tongue piercing and it’s completely crooked!!! The jewelry he used was far too small and literally squeezed the tip of my tongue. Do NOT recommend for snake eyes.

The line work that one of the artist did on Justine from 600 pound life was too thin... just my opinion 🤷🏻‍♀️ for Justines skin color the line work of the Texas should have been a tad bit more bigger.

This was my daughter and I first time going here, I was recommended by a friend. And I am so glad I came. Joey made us feel so comfortable and talked us through the whole process. I will definitely be coming back!

Joey was amazing, did 3 ear piercings in 20 minutes with consultation! Felt nothing, super nice guy, really assuring environment. Pricing was very reasonable too! Everyone go here !

The first time I went in I got my nose pierced which was $42, they gave me a pack of sea salt, I got to choose which jewelry I wanted and they provided information. The second time I came in I got a tattoo, very neat and nice for $50. Of course I had to wait to get both done, they sterilize and prepare everything. Just give it patience. They are very friendly and hilarious. :)

Tim was awesome! I stopped in after work with a friend for ear piercings; it was quick, the place was clean, and everyone was super nice and professional.

I took my 7 year old daughter to get her ears pierced (first time) and our experience was incredibly professional from start to finish.My daughter was a bit nervous going in, but that quickly faded. Chris, who pierced her ears, was calming from the front counter through the entire piercing. He explained the after-care to both, us parents and my daughter, thoroughly. The price is reasonable; includes earrings and post-care solution.The shop was clean, the piercing room and equipment (needles, earrings, etc) were straight out of sterile packages. No tears at all. The post piercing sensitivity lasted a only few minutes and there is no pain at all (pictures are 5-6 hours later). I would highly recommend this studio. Thank you Chris, you made a little girl’s day!

Great experience! Lost my nose piercing and needed a new piece of jewelry put in. Spoke on phone and very helpful, they said to come in. Once there I was greeted by a friendly person, helped to choose my jewelry and taken back quickly. They took time to answer all questions, and treated my with kindness. This is a big sigh of relief after experiences with other tattoo/piercing places in town. Thank you!!

Joey got to us right away. Came in from Kansas City due to some circumstances and wanted a quick tattoo for a great price. He did all four of our tattoos in just a couple hours and they look amazing. He was patient, nice, understanding, and helpful. My mother had never gotten a tattoo before and he did great with making her feel comfortable! Thank you Joey. I waited 3 hours for my Friday the 13th tattoo. Totally worth it. My tattoo artist was cool but what was not cool was that they mixed up the papers and lost mine thus causing me to have to wait an extra hour.

Shout it to Tim!!!! He did my Helix piercings, very professional and welcoming. The process didnt even hurt. He Gave great detail on the aftercare. I came to visit Houston for a mini family vacation, getting the piercings was the best decision I did while visiting! Im definitely coming back the next time I visit Houston! Thank you, Tim!!!!!!

Tim was amazinggg! Very clean in there and pricing was very reasonable. I have been trying to find a place to get my infant and toddlers ears pierced and Google recommended Electric Chair tattoo. I called and spoke to Chris and he answered all of my questions and was very knowledgeable. When I hung up the phone, I felt 100% confident and comfortable in choosing him to pierce my girls. Upon entering the establishment you are required to wear a mask and sanitize your hands before talking to them at the front counter. Chris asked for copies of the birth certificates (per TX law) and my id. The paperwork was quick and easy to fill out. We waited a few minutes before taking us to the back. He was very patient and caring towards my babies, and asked if I was ok with the placement of the hole before piercing. Everything went so smooth, he used new needles each time, and the sterilized jewelry also came packaged up. The place is clean, and Chris wore new gloves each time and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Chris has great customer service and he knows what he is doing. I definitely recommend getting pierced by him!

Joey did an amazing job piercing my little girl’s ears (age 8). He was friendly, patient, professional, and quick. He explained everything before starting. The placement was perfect. My daughter hates needles and can be anxious, but she didn’t even flinch or cry because he was so reassuring and quick. The place was very clean. It’s cash only, but they have an ATM inside.

This place was amazing. I went here to see what I could do about my nose piercing because I had gotten it pierced months prior somewhere else but had to take it out a couple days ago due to irritation trying to change the jewelry. I was scared I would have to let it close, but as soon as I went to them, their piercer took me back and was able to put nose jewelry in without any issue at all and even made sure I was okay and comfortable with the jewelry. He also changed it a second time when he noticed the first hoop he put in was slightly too big for my liking. He was very patient and informing.

I got my rook piercing done by Chris three weeks ago. It was done pretty quickly. I was handed aftercare instructions and so far, it’s healing well, I love it.

Went in for a naval repiercing, one that I’ve had out for 7 years. My piercer was Oscar and he was great, would highly recommend. He was cool as hell, straight to the point and had me in and out. I liked that he talked me through a new hole vs a taper. I got mine tapered. If you’re thinking about it, go with them!!!

I have wanted a septum piercing for a very long time. Today I finally decided to do it! I am so happy I chose this place. The place was clean and everyone was welcoming. Joey did my piercing. It took him less than 5 minutes and he was nice, calm, confident and put me at ease as I was a little nervous. The prices were reasonable! I will definitely be coming back for more piercings and I will definitely see if they can do my first tattoo!

It was super great!! They were really nice and I was in and out with 5 mins for a piercing and it didnt hurt (felt like I scratched a scab a lil to hard). Bring an ID btw, even for lobe piercing they require identification! You dont need to make an appointment for one, just arrive (for piercing I mean). Got mine done by Chris! Highly recommend!!!

They used the wrong type of jewelry for my nose piercing

Jose did an amazing job at covering up my wrist tattoos! My first one he did I came in as a walk in. I loved the cover up and got a lot of compliments. He was very detailed and professional so I decided to come back for my other cover up. He did a small detailed butterfly cover up on my wrist with color. You can’t even see the previous tattoo! I’m definitely going back to him for future work/coverups.

Got both elbows blasted in one afternoon. Joey is fantastic, professional, and makes sure you get exactly what you want. Had as great of an experience as you can have while getting your elbows tattooed! :)Highly recommend!

I came in as a walk in for a cover up on my wrist. I told them what I liked and Jose helped me find something I would like but that he was confident would work in covering up the tattoo. He covered it up with a skull and a rose with color. It came out out so nice 😍 he was professional and paid attention to detail. I will definitely be going back to him for my other cover ups!

I called ahead to ask and confirm whether they do dermal piercings here—they do! It was an easy experience and I’ll likely be returning. (Going through a huge change = body modification lol) I believe it was Tim* that helped me if I remember correctly and he talked me through the whole thing. I got collarbone piercings and he double-quadruple checked to make sure they were even. I was done in maybe 15 minutes? They look great! Thank you!Went back for a belly button piercing and it was done in 10 seconds! In an out in 15min, just like the last service. So dope! I love it here 😭

I absolutely loved this place. Brought my 6 month old for ear piercings and Chris did an AMAZING job. He was so patient with her and the process was super fast. It was all in one fast motion. Chris would insert the needle and by the time he would remove it, she already had her earring in. Mind-blown!The place itself is extremely clean and they have a germ-x station in the entrance. Masks are required and rooms are ridiculously clean. I felt safe taking my daughter there.

Oscar did a phenomenal job on my nipple piercings. He has a very calming presence. Placement of jewelry is perfect and I give him a 10/10.

Went on a Saturday and the artists there were so nice and chill. Did their Get What You Get tattoo and they were very flexible with the design I got. Ive been to a few different artists in the past but Ive never had any line work as clean as Puppets. Definitely going to stop by again.

Came to this location in the past to get the owner Stephanie (I think thats her name) to put in a lot of piercings that had begun to close due to some logistical issues and COVID. She was wonderful, spent almost an hour just helping me out.I decided to come back for some new helix piercings. I ended up with Chris. He was amazing, probably the quickest and least painful, just got em and closed without a ton of pulling/tugging. Got in and out in under 20 minutes and that was after they sterilized the titanium piercings. Coming back again if I want anything else!

I got two upper lobe piercings from Electric Chair. The only other piercings I had was when I was a baby. I was a tad bit nervous but Oscar was very friendly and reassuring. The place itself was super cool and clean. I would 10/10 recommended this for beginners and people who have many piercings as well

I got my first piercing from this shop back in 2009 and its still around !! Great service. Decided to get a tattoo today and sooo glad I did. Prices are very fair and reasonable! My tattoo artist was Puppet and he was awesome !!! Absolutely love my tattoo and will be going to him for all my tattoo ideas. For someone who is scared of needles and had a tattoo that required shading 😱..Puppet made it a fast and non painful experience! Highly recommend!!

Omg! loved this experience, this was my first time getting my ear pierced with a needle! I walked in, got greeted very nicely, all paperwork given to me, and asked what I wanted! So grateful to have found Electric Chair! Been through some life changes and I mark the changes in a variety of ways. Two ways are with tattoos and piercings. Chris did my piercing and replaced some of my jewelry. He was kind, funny, patient and knowledgeable. He was also fast. Highly recommend!! Observed him piece 3 little girls. He is very good.Also wanted ink, and Puppet did an 8” tattoo on my back. He is fast, also funny, and kind. He plays comedy and musical videos while he works to help his clients relax. Super quality of workmanship! He is thorough and a great artist!! Highly recommend! Wow!

We had our 3 month old daughters ears done here. Chris did an amazing job. He was very patient with her and very calming. He made sure we liked the position of where the earrings will be and didnt pierce them until we were 100% sure. He was quick and good at what he does and I would recommend him to anyone looking to get their childs piercings done.

They have several professional and knowledgeable piercers. For facial piercings, I would definitely recommend you go to Oscar, hes fast and he is gentle. They have a quite good selection of jewelry to choose from. They even do piercings that most other piercers wont do. This is the only place I know that does microdermals. The only reason I dont give them 5 stars is because their selection of titanium jewelry isnt as good as their surgical steel.

Not only is this place pretty, but clean and professional as well. My cousin and I got our nose pierced by Stormie who was really nice and patient with me because I was so nervous. Stormie talked to me to distract me and also explained everything she was doing. I have a suuuper low pain tolerance and it was so surprising to me how I felt no pain (just a little pressure) when she pierced my nose. Overall my cousin and I are happy with the service and hope to come back soon for more piercings/tattoos ! Thank you, Stormie !!

Great experience. Got my lip and smiley for reasonable price. Very clean, very quick, perfectly measured symmetrically with my other piercings. All I had to do was bring proper ID and tell ‘em what I want and that was it. 100% recommend

Got my nose pierced today and cannot even begin to express how satisfied I am. Tim was professional and did an excellent job of walking me through the process including helping me pick out the initial jewelry and plan for my ring. I came in to have some studs taken out of my forward helix and was helped out fairly quickly. The guy was really nice about it after I explained I was having second thoughts about keeping them. He took them out for me and advised me how to clean it and gave me some tips on how to put in new jewelry if I wanted to keep them. The shop was VERY clean, nice staff, and parking is around the back. If I get another piercing while Im in Houston Id get it done here.

***WOMEN BEWARE***Walked in here for two ear piercings. The piercer assigned to me was a white guy who came to the counter, looked me up and down and told me, boooring like a child, and walked away. He seemed really pervy and I got the sense that he was upset because I wasnt getting something that would reveal more of my body to him. Im absolutely disgusted. My husband needed a simple (literally two 2 inch lines) tattoo and he was turned away. We went to another shop immediately. Would give Electric Chair Tattoos negative stars if I could.

I had my conch and helix pierced by Joey Fontes, and he did a phenomenal job! He was very patient with placement to make sure that the piercings were exactly where I wanted them. Joey was also very clear in explaining what he was doing, so I was very comfortable with my experience, and the piercings themselves hurt less than expected thanks to his care.After the piercing he provided aftercare instructions and non-iodized sea salt for soaking. So far, these piercings have hurt much less than my previous piercings, so Im expecting a fast and easy recovery.Only thing to be aware of is that Electric Chair accepts cash only. They have an ATM on site just in case you are taken off guard.This was one of the best piercing experiences Ive ever had. For the price and the level of service I was provided, Ill definitely be coming back for more! Thanks, Joey!

I had gotten my ears re-pierced and my first nose piercing. Oscar was beyond what I was expecting. He was very laid back, friendly and very thorough. I was nervous but he kept me cool. I highly recommend if it’s your first, a re-pierce or even more...HOLLA @ OSCAR!! Thank you again Oscar!! By the way, there were other artists there. I didn’t catch their names but they were very sociable and friendly. Definitely recommend and will return!!

The piercer was very gentle, knowledgeable, and quick. The wait time wasnt excessive and the place is well decorated. Although I wasnt offered the option of a regular or jeweled jewelry (jeweled jewelry was given to me and it was $2 more than the other option), I am happy with my jewelry and piercing. It is healing well. Oh yeah, I got a nose piercing.

Took my 17 year old daughter in today to get her nose pierced for her birthday. Joey was amazing. He was patient and had a great personality. He went over each step as he did it and went over after care with us and told us to call if we had any questions at all. He was very professional and the studio was clean. It was my 3rd trip here and it wont be our last.

I called asking for general piercing information after overlooking their website making sure there was someone who did piercing on site and I spoke with Tim who did inform me that he did specialize in that craft, I gave him a estimated time of my arrival when i showed up he was there and ready for me. After 12 piercings I knew the drill photo copy ID and for me to fill out a form or 2. With Covid going on he gave me a questionnaire to ensure the safety of the staff and future patrons . Afterwards, he asked me location that I wanted my dermal and he assured with no worries, he allowed me to pick out the ideal color i wanted with the help of his opinion i picked a really appealing iridescent anchor that would look appealing with any color outfit. He was extremely professional throughout the whole process he marked all the necessary spots and had me look in the mirror to ensure he make the ideal markings to my liking after assuring it looks good he went in and got everything done in less than 45 seconds. I had a botched chest dermal prior and was a little worried about my second go around but Tim and the fact that he was a master in his craft confirmed that I made the right decision to come here. He gave me great aftercare tips and was very professional i cant wait until it heals I look forward to coming back for piercing work with Tim :) xo, Jessica

Literally just left the shop with my septum piercing. I explained to Tim that while I have had piercings before, I am scared of needles. He was WONDERFUL. He explained each step and constantly kept me up to date with what he was doing. And in the end, he was right, it wasnt painful (or rather, not any more than my brow piercings). I am VERY happy with my experience here and will definitely be telling people to go there.

The appointment started at 6, and we waited an hour before the service even started. My girlfriend got two piercings and a week later we found out they pierced her ear incorrectly and now she has to take them out. 100$ wasted on nothing.

I just got a conch piercing from Oscar today and it was AMAZING! It was my first time getting my cartilige pierced with a needle and going in I was very afraid of the pain. Whenever I explained how I wanted the conch to be positioned he placed the dot perfectly and was very fast and efficient with the needle, which barely hurt. He was also great at making me comfortable and calm beforehand. I was in and out in 20 minutes with a great new piercing.

The guy that did my piercing years ago(whoever he was) was a very nice guy. Didnt see him again next time I went in there, I read most of the reviews, which seem to mostly come from females about how great the service is. I gave this place THREE chances to redeem itself, and was disappointed all three times. I walked in Saturday to inquire about a new nose ring. NO ONE EVER GREETS you, NO ONE IS EVER at the counter, and it feels awkward just standing there and EVERYONE saw that I came in...(THEYRE looking right at you through the glass.) No one came to the front to ask if I need help, or at least make the statement, Give us a few minutes....something!! Instead, I spoke with a waiting customer in the lobby who stated that they all may have clients. My opinion: Females get better service. I walked into this place on THREE separate occasions, and the same thing happened. Ill just look for someone else to refer to and bring my friends...(which they would have made money on three people that day) I dont see how they are still in business. I do wish them well, but I have my opinions as to why no one rushed over to say Hello, how may I help you? Ill no longer visit that place. Someone who shows a sense of care can get my money. Heres to wishing them and their future customers well.

I’ve been going to this shop for years, it’s my favorite place to get any tattoos done! The line work is clean and the colors are vibrant; you can tell they care about quality, even with my smaller pieces, we still talk about size, placement, line thickness, everything to ensure it’s what I’m looking for.

Tim was very quick, professional and engaging! He was so cool and patient! Facility was nice and clean the supplies were sterile and he was precise with the piercing! Highly recommend!

First time I went here years ago I got piercings. Awesome experience although I can’t remember the name of the piercer. Probably one of the most professional environments I’ve ever gotten a piercing. Second time visiting the shop was today to get a tattoo. Joe was the artist. Another great experience. He was very professional, knowledgeable and really fun to talk to. He also did a great job with the ink. Can’t wait to go back and get more work done by him.

Puppet did an awesome job on my first tattoo. The entire staff was very friendly and professional too. They are extremely clean very sanitizes their equipment. My experience here was pleasant. When you come here you will not be disappoint.

Took my 9 year old girls there to get their ears pierced and had a great experience. Oscar was very patient especially with my girl that was scared and crying. Great price too ($52 each kid including the ear rings) but cash only. Nice and clean, they sanitized everything in front of us.

I went for a piercing. I was very nervous. Tim explained the procedure thoroughly step by step. All of the instruments he used were still in sealed packaging. He was very patient & kind. Electric Chair was highly recommended to me by a few good friends so I drove 30 minutes to get my piercing there. It was worth it.

Tim was the artist that pierced me and my daughters noses. I must say that he made us feel relaxed as he thoroughly explained each step of the procedure. I would highly recommend the Electric Chair for your piercing experience. Friendly staff and clean environment.

Stephanie was amazing. This was my first tattoo and honestly I didnt know what to expect. She answered every question and spent about 2 hours designing a custom piece of artwork. The actual tattooing probably took about three hours. I love the final result. Im sure Ill be back 2, 3 or more times and Stephanie will be be my tattoo artist of choice. The Electric Chair is great.

Oscar did my babys piercings. He was patient (she had been crying already because she was hungry before we got there) and quick. He talked calmly to her and me. He was good about telling me what to do and what to expect. Overall, it was a great experience, and I love how they look!

Tim pierced my nose last night & I absolutely loved the experience!! He made me feel very comfortable and calm. He seems like a really nice guy! He was keeping conversation & before I knew it he said “take a deep breath” I did, and boom! My nose was pierced. Really smooth transition. I’m so happy he was able to help me!! Oscar did a great job piercing my babys ears and my nose. He pierced my oldest 3 years ago and I was glad to see him still there.

Stephanie was easy to communicate with, professional and did an awesome job on my piercings. I have a severe nickel allergy (but insisted on more piercings, because why not) so she talked me through all of my options and ordered exactly what I needed in the color and finish that I wanted. I strongly recommend going in for a consultation then making an appointment.

I have been going to The Electric Chair for about ten years. I have had 38 piercings perfectly completed there, all of which healed up perfectly!! I also have four tattoos which are multi-colored, vivid, intricate, beautiful and unique. Stephanie is amazing! She is very professional, a fabulous artist, detail-oriented, kind, patient, understanding, and a joy to work with on every project. I must say, however, that it is best to plan ahead, schedule an appointment to talk about what you want to do, especially if it involves artwork, and be professional yourself as a customer. I intially went in for my very first earlobe piercing and ended up getting my conch piercing done as well by Charlie. I totally recommend him! He was very thorough, comforting, and personable. I left feeling excited and well taken care of. I will definitely come back whenever I want something done.

Got my ears pierced here by Chris and it was Absolutely painless. It took ten minutes for both me and my mom to get our ears pierced. I wanted a septum too, but they didnt have any 16g in, Chris said hed be more than happy to tell me when they come in, and Ill definitely be going back👌

Got my belly button and helix piercings here. Chris was very thorough and calm explaining the process and made me feel at ease. Shop is clean and sterilized!

Had an a awesome experience.very clean and sterile. Had a few freinds get work done by Megan Medina, so I went to see what she was all about and I say she was worth all the talk. She does amazing work. She made sure everything was clean and to my liking. I would recommend her. She wasnt too pricey I have had more expensive work done by other people and you definitely get your money worth. As a reviewer said before good tattoos arent cheap and cheap tattoo arent good.

I have had two tattoos done here within the past month. Love them both! Rubi is phenomenal! She is thorough while making sure you get exactly what you want. Wouldnt go anywhere else.

Great experience everytime . Got 5 piercings done back in January and am currently stopping by once every couple months to get my lobes stretched I am aware I can do it on my own but I don’t trust it so I’d rather get it done. I’ve dealt with every piercer they have and all are friendly and professional. I plan on getting another soon . 10/10

My experience going to the shop was pretty good, Tim pierced my nostril a couple months ago. It was clean and he was very nice. After the piercing, he gave me a bag of salt for cleaning purposes. I thought it was odd but didn’t think too much about it.Not too much longer a large bump started to form. I went into ask about it and Tim told me it was pierced at the wrong angle (I don’t think he realized he did it) and to put tea tree oil or rubbing alcohol on the bump, which after doing some research was not good advice.Now, I’ve gone to another piercer for advice and the piercing had to come out due to being at the wrong angle and ill-fitting jewelry.TLDR: I would not recommend going to this shop for a nostril piercing.

After finally convincing my Hubby (yay) to budget in a tattoo I had been DYING to get, I stopped into the shop on Saturday to see if anyone could squeeze me in. I had previously e-mailed Stephanie whom I now know is the owner/manager and she was very polite and responded to my many questions with poise and understanding which I really appreciated. But, she was not available on that day. The artist who greeted us, Carlos said he would do it and I agreed. He took the sketch I brought with me and made some adjustments that honestly blew my mind! He was very creative and worked with me to find the perfect end result before starting. He was very professional and courteous throughout the 2hrs of tattoo time, letting me take time to stretch and explaining the tattoo as he progressed through the stages from beginning to end. I am beyond pleased with my tattoo it came out beautifully! I will never go to any other artist! Carlos completely rocked! and to top it all off he has amazing taste in music which when your sitting still for 2 plus hours, makes a big difference.

Staff was very nice and courteous. However, after leaving we noticed that one of the other customers had side swiped our car. There were no cameras outside the business. Would recommend going to an establishment with better security measures.

I got my industrial from Chris about month and a half ago. He was very very smooth and the process was quick and pain-less (from what I had anticipated). I would certainly recommend him.On a different note, I really like my piercing but I have been having problems with the swelling. I have noticed keloids growing around. Can you (Electric Chair crew) suggest what I should do? I clean the area with warm water and sea-salt regularly and avoid sleeping on the side I have my industrial. Do you think I may need a longer bar? Please recommend. Thank you

I had such a great experience here! Jose did my tattoo, he was very kind and we bounced ideas off each other the whole time to make it perfect! He was focused but also listened while I chatted his ear off. The rest of the staff is very friendly too! Definitely would recommend this place!

I mean, what can I say!?!? Always see a clean looking establishment when I get the urge to add some more ink. Im still new to it, but I am glad I walked in there almost 2 yrs ago. Friendly staff, they made me feel comfortable when I was nervous in getting my first tattoo.This was my 4th and the biggest and most detailed yet. Thanks to my artist Puppet, since tattoo #1! He did a spectacular job on all of them, especially this last one. All my friends were impressed and continue to get compliments on the work done. Cant wait for the next one:)

This was my second visit to Electric Chair Tattoo and I continue to be impressed. My first tat was a cover up in which I let the artist have complete control ans talked a little bit with Me about what I liked before coming up with a cover up idea. Needless to say, it turned out amazing! This time around I went and Jose was my artist who made my vision a reality. Very clean work space and very attentive to detail. He can do so some amazing large pieces! Book with him! He knows what he is doing! Electric Chair will forever be my place of choice!

I give it a 5/5. I just got my Session 1 done of my Polynesian tat. Charlie did my tat and what i can say is he is very creative. He managed to get my chest tat done: outline and shading, do piercings to other women and finish me up. The shop has a comfortable feel, sitting down watching movies and definitely smooth spot to get a tattoo esp if it is your first time like me. I recommend this shop to any and everyone.

Fantastic!!!! I currently live outside of the USA and had decided to get a my first tattoo when I visited Houston. After searching many places online and reading reviews I picked Electric Chair. I had already been in touch via email and had sent a rough idea of what I wanted doing. Stephanie was my artist and she did a fantastic job. The tattoo ended up way better than I could have ever imagined and Im very happy with the result. Overall a professional outfit that ensured I felt welcome the whole time we (Wife, 19month old Daughter and I) were there. I will definitely be back to get another tattoo when I can decide what I want.

I got my nose piercing with JOEY. I was an horror, trauma experience I have ever had. This guy pierce my nose like a hater to the color of my skin. This guy pierce my nose and it did not feel right at all and immediately i told him that i am feeling pain and something did not feel right. And he said it is ok. Then the next day the ring start to sunk into my nose and i was terrify. I could not see the ring. I was back to the store the next day to see what it going on with my nose. OMG. horrifying, terrifying experience. He did a very very bad job. I cry...... He bend the ring wrongly and all that cause the ring to sunk into my nose. I was hard to get the ring out of my nose. BE CARE WHO and WHERE you go to pierce you nose.

I went in the last hour of the night, and Tim still gave me my tattoo! Great price, and cute little design too. He was really easygoing, very professional and talking to me the whole time. When he started the design I got a little quiet to get my bearings, but he did stop to look up and make sure I was okay c: he also goes hard for anime, so that was a major plus. Thank you Tim!!

They made sure to make my piercing even, waiting wasn’t very long, and they showed me the after care. I didn’t realize they only took cash, but they had an ATM in the shop! This was my first time getting a piercing here, and I’ll come again if I ever need to!

The very first few minutes of my first time visiting were horror because of the VERY bad attitude Arturo or whatever his name was, displayed. Who the hell hired you!!?? Autism can be interesting when it comes to piercings. My 5 year old wanted to get her ears pierced. Which was a surprise to us because she never agrees to anything. We wanted her to make the choice instead of us making it for her. We thought she never would until a year ago when she saw sister get another set of piercings. Our daughter is in on the spectrum and does have some sensory issues.I talked with Stephanie and informed about her Autism and how it would be best if she did it quickly. She explained how piercings arent meant to be done quickly. I told her that she may pull away or cry loudly and she understood.On the day off the piercing our daughter didnt pull away and only cried on the second piercing. Everything was sterilized and my daughter ran over to the mirror. She stood in front of it and commented on how pretty she looked. She was very happy that dayShe doesnt speak in to many full sentences but on that day she did.Thank you Stephanie for helping us with something like this!

Waited in line for about 15 minutes for a cartilage piercing, very nice staff and the piercing cost $32 including jewlery and cleaning solution! The atmosphere could be better but overall this place is great. Clean, good prices, and good service :)

First time getting a piercing that isnt your typical earlobe and they were very helpful, quick, and welcoming! Had Oscar as my piercer and they were amazing, even answered my extra questions and concerns quickly over text. :)

My sister, husband and I all went here today. My husband got a cover up tattoo and my sister and I got belly button piercings. Chris took care of all of us. Chris is wonderful and I highly recommend him for both piercings and tattoos. He turned an old (really not good looking lol) tattoo my husband had on his arm into a beautiful cross. He was extremely friendly, professional and really good at what he does! If you are reading reviews looking for a recommendation, ask for Chris! I have had many tattoos and piercings myself and I know great skill, talent and good service when I see it! I have no doubt that all the people here do good work though. I am still shocked that he was able to cover such an old, silly little tattoo and make it into something so cool! We also went in there not knowing exactly what my husband wanted. All we knew was he wanted a cross. Chris was quick to pull up images and plan something for us. I’m so glad we went here. Guys there’s a reason why this place has been in business for so long. You won’t find a really *GOOD* place with better prices in town. In Montrose the prices are higher and you may or may not get the quality you get here. Remember with tattoos and piercings you get what you may for. You don’t want to go cheapo, but you also don’t want to be ripped off. This place offers really reasonable prices that don’t break the bank. I’ll be back in the future. Just a tip, this place does get busy sometimes. Call in advance and see how many people are there, if they have time, make an appointment, etc. We went there around 3pm on a saturday and got taken care of right away. I noticed others were there waiting though, and it seemed as if they didn’t call ahead like we did.

I was getting my nose pierced for the first time and tbh was extremely nervous as seeing my sister faint when she got her pierced was not fun at all. But Charlie did a great job! He was so quick, I barely felt anything and most importantly didn’t faint.I would highly recommend this place!

Ive been here twice over the years and got my tragus and daith done but at different times. Both came out perfect. This 3rd time, I went to have my new piercing looked at that I got at another shop (friend suggested the place). It was bothering me after 2 weeks and I was concerned and in need of a professional opinion. The piercers name is Oscar, and he was really helpful. He answered all of my questions. I left the shop feeling a whole lot less worried and also great about the advice I had recieved. I will definitely be going back soon to get another piercing.

Ask for Jose period! This was my first time at the electric chair. I knew what I wanted but wasnt too sure about the colors. He took me back to a computer to pull up some images for me to choose from. He was so helpful and patient. He created a beautiful crown for me with beautiful colors. He made me feel so comfortable in his chair I almost fell asleep. Make an appointment though ,hes good and hes busy.

My first tattoo experience and naturally I google “best tattoo shop in Houston”. Electric chair pops up and I hit up the artist available on a Tuesday. I go in and tell him what I want and I pay the $50 down payment or whatever for him to draw the design. He gives me a quote for how much it will be, which I thought was pricey, but I didn’t mind paying for quality. I also tell him ill be going on vacation so ill speak to him when I get back. I text him 2 months after this meeting asking to come see my design and he said he no longer has it because it’s been too long but if I want, he can freehand the tattoo on me when the time comes. Um, no. Sorry. I ask if i’ll be getting a refund for my design and he says, he’ll draw another one but of course, he never texts me back again. I’m not going to name drop but for the high reputation this place gets, the level of professionalism was super low and disappointing. I decided to just call it a loss because I don’t want someone who I just had a bad interaction with tattooing me anyways. Also, they wanted to charge $300 for a small little tattoo which is overpriced if you go and ask around. There are a lot of great tattoo shops around Houston but this is the type of shop that overcharges people because they get so much business.

Goooo Oscar! A group of friends and I went to get piercings. Oscar was very patient. He made us feel comfortable. Everything was clean and super sanitary. I would definitely go back, and I would definitely recommend Oscar for all of your piercing needs.

I took my 5 year old and 2 year old to get their ears pierced by Oscar. There was a wait but they were slammed so thats understandable. He was very patient and asked for consent from my daughters, he made them laugh and just made them to be as comfortable as they could. When my 8 year old is ready for her ears to be done I will be taking her back to Oscar.

I had been looking for an artist whos vision met mine and Stephanies work on the arm of an aquaintense caught my eye. She has been working on me for about 6 months and has not disappointed! Her artistry and technique are the best Ive had the pleasure to work with. Always a charmer, she never lets me down with a story or a little token from her travels.

First time customer. I went in today 07/11/2020 to re peirce my nipples after my previous peircings were uneven and one started to reject. Tim did my peircings today and Im so happy with the end result he took his time marking and aligning the clamps. The peircing part was fast and not as painful as I had anticipated. Overall glad with my experience today. Definitely will switch to this location from the previous location that has done all my current peircings prior to todays.

The only place I go and Stephanie does an amazing job, and all of the tattoo artist will do a custom piece for you .

Stephanie is super freaking awesome. Honestly you encounter a lot of weirdness when trying to find consistent artist. I am so fortunate to have stumbled onto this shop online. I have had zero issues at this place. Shes a joy to work with and her portfolio speaks for itself. Her shop is super clean too. I just cant say enough good things about this place. Only complaint is that shes booked all the time...but thats what youd expect. :)

Got my infant daughters ears pierced. Although there was a slight difference in opinion, Oscar was super helpful, patient, and really kind to my daughter. The shop was clean and the piercing process was sanitary! Definitely would recommend!!

Ive been all over the country and world collecting tattoos and piercings since my wife and I were in Houston for a while I began my search. I was referred by the hotel and after checking the ratings I decided this was the place. From the moment I walked into the shop I was really impressed. My wife wanted to get nipples pierced, possible tattoo for both of us and I needed my jewelry changed in my ears. When I called earlier in the day I was informed no appointment was necessary. As well as the cost…Little did I know when I got there we were getting a hook and bait deal. Upon arriving waited talked to the piercer while he went to get something to eat for 30 minutes. We talked to him about what we wanted and filled out paperwork. Then to my surprise we were told to pay before we even got the service done. First time this has ever happened to us, not like we are going to run out the door. Well After waiting another 20 minutes to wait for the piercer to finish eating we finally go into the room to get my wife nipples pierced and my jewelry changed in my ear. We seen everything packaged like it should and he proceeded through the process of doing her pierced.Now let me be as blunt as possible I think we should have left as soon as Jesus closed the door. I don’t know any other way to say this but if you work in the public, handle people in a discreet way in body modifications you should at least have the decency to bath and wipe the food off your face before doing your job. The incredible smell coming off this guy was next to the smell of raw sewage. It turned out to be a long drawn out process just getting here nipples marked. Not fine and cool but the guy didnt even get them straight. Secondly he pierced one of her nipples so deep that the jewelry swallowed up both ends within two days. We tired calling for days and couldn’t get ahold of the piercer who did them and finally we decided to come in once we talked to Chris on the phone. Chris was busy when we came in and Charlie told us to come right into the room to figure out what was going on. I was then told they had to be surgically removed since they had gone so many days, even after he tired to soak them to push the balls back out.Now I had to show him my ear and how the jewelry we swapped out in my ear had fallen out since it wasn’t tighten correctly. I was also given some new jewelry only after having too wait to get it sterilized. Sadly when Jesus changed my earrings he just cold sterilized them right in front of me. Sorry I have been through numerous piercings and never had jewelry cold sterilized. I was informed that I needed to get a couple things to fight the infection I had gotten from the jewelry I just had put in a couple days ago.I have never left a negative comment on any review for anyone. What my wife and I went through has scarred her for life. She is now looking at going through plastic surgery after an appointment today to repair the damage that was done. I myself am pissed over the whole process. I will commend Chris and Charlie for helping us out on the phone and in person as busy as the shop was when we came in. Just really even more pissed that Jesus charged me to change out my piercings. When I called originally I was told as long as I bought the jewelry there there wasn’t any further charge. Even more pissed for the medical bills we occurred today from being allowing Jesus to pierce my wife. Please take note to whom ever reads this for further inquiries.Mark S.

Went in for a second piercing in each earlobe. I’m seriously afraid of needles (Xanax got me through lol), but had been wanting to be able to wear two set of earrings at once for quite some time and decided it was finally time to go for it. Service was pretty quick. Tim was my piercer and he was great! He made sure I was comfortable and had me double check the markings were even for the piercing placements. It was a quick pinch in each ear and then it was over. Tim was kind, joked around a bit to lighten the mood/ease my nervousness, and checked that I was alright after each piercing was done. He was even cool with my husband being in the room so I could squeeze his hand like the wimp I am! Afterwards he gave me instructions on cleaning my new piercings and non-iodized sea salt to make a cleaning solution.Highly recommend heading to Electric Chair for your piercing needs!

I needed my piercing to be fixed because I had went somewhere else to get it put back in. But they didnt do that good of a job, so I decided to come over to electric chair because the pain was just irritating. 😣 Im glad Oscar was very helpful & heard me out of what my issue was cause I honestly thought I would have to get my piercing redone (after having it in for like 1 year & 4 months).Oscar was like a wizard & was able to fix the issue for me. That pressure of pain went away for a bit, I know it will take a moment to calm down but Im just glad I didnt let it escalated. Thank you again Oscar. 😊

Place is clean and the job was well done, but customer service and earring selection leave alot to be desired. The artist came off as unfriendly and they dont even offer basic cubic zirconia studs. I think they mainly do tattoos, anyways for an ear piercing you can go elsewhere for cheaper and much better service.

Perfect experience. I went in for a vampire bite piercing. The place is spotless, super clean, you could eat off the floors. Everyone was so cool and attentive. This was my first dermal piercing but I have a feeling it wont be my last! Highly recommend!

I had an absolutely astounding experience here. My girlfriend and I went in with a budget in mind for multiple tattoos. They worked with us and promptly set up the session. They were kind and professional.Afterwards, our car battery died (old battery) and one of the workers actually came out and tried several ways of jumpstarting our car, to no avail. He then offered to remove the battery for us and after we brought a new one he put it in for us as well. Thank you, Puppet!

Just had my tattoo done by Stephanie and let me tell you, her style and art work is nothing to sneeze at. Shes nothing but patient and very professional. I definitely would recommend her and her shop to anyone.

I got my medusa piercing here. It was done with a short bar. I had to go back and get it changed to a longer bar. A couple of months later, a bump popped up near it. I went back to see if there was something that could be done with it, but the guy Joey was super rude because one of his piercers didnt show up and he had a line of people waiting to get pierced. I went to another shop that told me that I had to take it out because the bump would never go away due to the bad angle that it was pierced at. $50 down the drain.

Joey has done 4 of my tattoos so far , great work at a reasonable price , the shop is clean and everyone is friendly

Called in about pricing and getting a certain tattoo. I called so many shops about getting this certain tattoo that I’d like and instead of trying to work with me to achieve it he just tells me that he doesn’t know anyone that would want to do it or himself.Tattoo shops use to work with you on any tattoo or design now a days they won’t if it’s somthing they feel won’t work, but if it doesn’t then oh we’ll let the client come in for touch ups. Glad I’m never using this shop for any future tattoo or designs.

How are you going to say you close at midnight.. when we arrived at 11:05 to just get piercings. I walked in with my friend and the Hispanic guy asked what do you guys want ? We said just piercings. Then he waited a few minutes and then said the person he was doing service on was going to be his last. He said business was slow and he wanted to close early. Why bother asking us want what service we wanted ? He was rude. If you said business was slow then why turn away customers? He lost service from us. And literally the person before us left 1 minute after we left when we were still in the parking lot and then we saw him lock the door at 11:10.Lastly, we took our service and money+ tips elsewhere. #ByeFelicia

I really like Stephanies work and shes incredibly easy to talk to. She will listen to all your suggestions and work with you to make sure you have the tattoo you want. This is a great place to visit, especially if you are getting your first tattoo, they are very welcoming.

The place was very clean and Oscar, who pierced mine and my girlfriends ears was very friendly and funny. He did a great job the piercings were straight and look nice.

Well, there were some positives and then there were negatives.Positive: Friendly nice people, clean shop and a gentle hand when it came to the piercing. They used a needle (NOT A GUN) which is an absolute necessity in my opinion.Negatives: I got three piercings on my lobe & upper lobe. They used the same needle for ALL three piercings. This is a terribly unhygenic practice as Ive learnt. Also, one of my piercings was completely crooked and refuses to heal and is constantly irritated. And they had no useful resources or any after care advice when things went bad and my piercing was giving me trouble.

I had a piercing done my Chris and he was nice, professional, quick, and didn’t make me feel like an idiot for being nervous. Everything was perfectly clean. I’ll be back for my next piercing.

Late post but...I got my tragus piercing last summer and to say I was nervous was an underestimate. Not sure who the piercer was but the girl was AMAZING, she got my piercing done WITHOUT pain and real quick. After I was done my friend was next for a piercing but while she was getting pierced I had passed out for a split second and I woke up and they took care of me amazingly!! They gave me water and a tablet and sat me in the room and I kid you not I think every employee had came in the check on me. They told me to call if we had any question and they even called the next day to follow up and see how I was doing! BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! Ill deff be going back soon with more friends!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Nice guy, gave me water and sugar when I passed out a bit, but put my septum piercing through cartilage instead of where it is supposed to go! Hopefully it heals okay but was disappointed given that prices were similar to other piercing shops.

I went here In December to get my first tattoo and after healing it still looked very see through and the artist said I would go back for a touch up which I assume is normal and it would be for free he was very nice.I came back for touch up January 19 and it’s all healed and now but it still looks as if I had it for a few years already .My sister has other tattoos that didn’t even have a touch up but still look more in color and filled while mine has some patches not inked up even though I took really good care of it not laying down on it putting needed ointment and time to breath but still.They we’re really nice there but I think It could’ve been better with the tattoo quality .

They are chill and do what they say, but after having my nose piercing for a month, I have learned that I was pierced in the wrong spot and I have an irritation bump inside my nose from it. When I initially got my piercing, it bled a lot. I was pierced in the crease of my nose on a capillary--told that when I change it to a ring it would sit properly to the front (it wont). When I called about a bump, they told me to use tea tree oil which is ill advised for any kind of piercing.I had to have my jewelry switched by another shop today and found out the jewelry they used had sharp edges which made it very difficult to maneuver.I dont think Ill be returning.

Came here to get my belly piercing bar replaced. the staff were so nice and i love that they have an atm inside. my piercing is now healing nicely and i’m definitely going back.

So I wanted to get my nose pierced at the age of 34 and looked up tattoo and piercing on Google and ECT&P came up along with other places. I called both and thats where I made my decision to go to ECT&P. For 1 they answered the phone where the other place, sent me to a VM then texted 😒me(I was driving and I DO Not text and drive). 2 the price was about the same but again ECT&P price was better. 3 I asked questions and Chris was there to answer them before I pulled up and reassured me it was going to be quick and painless. My experience at ECT&P was awesome and I will be back for my tattoo Chris. Thanks again for the great customer service and my piercing!

Ive had 2 tattoos and both of them have been here, I plan on getting all of my tattoos from the talented artist that work here. Theyve always been professional and very nice and the quality of work is exceptional. I cannot recommend them highly enough, top notch people.

Went there for piercing for my 7 and 9 yr olds. Waited about 15 min before anyone approached me at the counter. Then waited an hr and a half just to get skipped. Terrible experience, never going there again.

Joey was awesome. Did our 3 tattoos while hitting 5 piercings in between. Light handed, great lines and color. Best to call ahead for an appointment.

The artist have very little personal material to show their work. The worst part was some of the way some of them were dressed. I think they should carry themselves as clean well dressed. There was one guy who did my girls nose piercing. He would hit on my girl through out the whole time we were there. We were not comfortable and the only reason we did not say anything was to avoid problems. This guy claimed he did not do tattoos, only piercings. He even told us he lived in Rosenberg as if we asked. he asked all kinds of personal questions like where my girl lived. He even had the nerve to ask her to text him, acting as if he told all his clients that. This guy was an embarrassment to men. When we left, my girl and I were talking about his lack of respect. NO SHAME. We went to another place and got my tattoo, we really like the guy there and will continue to go there. Thanks to this PLAYA, his company lost out on my business. I spent $500 that night on me and will spend another $1,500 at this same place I went. WATCH YOUR RESPECT TO CLIENTS.

I got my ears pierced by a Tim and it was pretty much painless. He was funny and super nice. The studio is clean and everyone was nice. Would definitely recommend coming here.

I came here to get a lady piercing removed and the piercer made me feel so comfortable and was able to help. He also replaced my tragus piercing to a plastic one. I would highly recommend this place. The cost of piercing removal was super affordable. I’m thankful I gave this place a try!

Went in last night to get my best friend her first tattoo. She wanted a simple infinity sigh with live love laugh on it. The guy told her the tattoo would be $150. There was nothing elaborate about that tattoo. Guy was racist. She got a beautiful tatto done elsewhere for a reasonable price. He would have messed her up anyway.

Puppet never disappoints. Got a tattoo from him three years ago and went in today to get another two and I am in love. The tattoo shop is spotless and everyone is so nice.

The gentleman just blankly stared at us. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and asked him to quote some artwork anyway. He quoted me $60 for a piece smaller than a dollar, that was understandable. Got a navel pierce 14 years ago. Had to return to have it removed before MRI. Returned to have it placed back. They did all for no charge. Of course they got a tip. Recommend clean and friendly establishment.

Went to get a piercing and got out pretty quick. The guy there was pretty good too. He made conversation with me and let me chose which earing id like to get. Pretty good place to go get your stuff done quick and clean.

I went to this place to get nipple piecings, and i say this for those on here looing for a nipple piercing review. anyway i came here 2 times once to check the place out and the second time to get the piercing. my piercer was Charlie GREAT GUY, he answered my many questions over text before i came in and when i was there he was very nice, calm and i could tell he knows his stuff. he was very professional, and polite. when i first took off my shirt he made she to make only eye contact with my eyes from there on untill the piercing. GUYS MAKE SURE YOU EAT SOMETHING BEFORE YOU GO he told me this after the fact but thats fine.anyway i almost fainted from the rush and lack of food so he laid me down and gave me a sugar pill (your body uses up a lot of energy for what this is and keeps you from running away lol) he sat there with me and instructed my boyfriend to hold my feet up while he talked to me keeping me calm.over all he was a very nice guy! and id recomend him any time of the day, he does use a clamp and he steralises everything, the tools and the bed thingy that you sit on. he was very polite and made sure that i was comfortable thorugout the entire process. i paid 92$ for the piercing (82) and the two titanium barbells (20). also they only take cash luckily there is an atm on the inside that charges 2.50 for a withdrawl.THANKS CHARLIE!!

Charlie hooked me up! Came in yesterday to repierce my septum and made the mistake of getting a smaller ring that wouldnt flip up (i have to flip it up for work). I thought i was going to have to take it out and put in a retainer but Charlie was able to widen it and it all worked out. VERY GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I got my second tat from LaMont, I love it so much. I had a cupcake design I wanted for my neck and he gave me a great price. He was really patient when I changed the colours I wanted three times and we moved it and resized it twice. He worked quickly and was really nice. I will deffinantly be going back to see him again!
