Absolutely love their work. I’ve gotten other tattoos by mike and he always does an amazing job. This was done by Mario he was recommended to me by mike. I wanted a portrait of my sister but I didnt want it to just be a picture of her due to us being twins. I wanted it to stand out but he went above and beyond. It was worth everything I paid and more. Thank you MS studios I always felt my sister has always been with me but now I have this beautiful portrait of her forever ❤️

I will never go to another tattoo artist ever.Mike keeps a very neat and spotless shop. His work area is so clean and everything is organized and has its place.You can tell hes very focused by the way he selected the colors for my tattoo and organized them to go in a certain order. The most professional I have seen someone run their shop.Before the session, he was very responsive and patient in communicating with me about what I wanted and he answered all my questions. (I had a lot of them).The process went smoothly and I was excited as I saw the progress. In the end, I was blown away by how it was exactly what I wanted and it was even brighter and more detailed than I thought it would get. Hes a true artist.Oh, by the way, it was a cover up. Im assuming it was the owner, first off he was mad because we walked in, so don’t take walk ins?? And it was my first tattoo in a bony spot & he was mad that it was hurting me. And didn’t even offer to take breaks he just kept huffing and forcing me down. It’s been about a year and my tattoo has a missing o and has a blow out. And he kept changing the price because I was a young girl. Mind you the tattoo is no more than 1.5 inches “Love yours” and it has a missing o, is blown out, & he charged me $100 I get everyone has bad days but things like this is what makes people never want to go back. hope you catch him on a good day if you’re going. Also gave me NO AFTER CARE instructions. No it isn’t common sense for some people it was my first time!!

Mike had stopped by the shop one night after close and I happened to catch him, not knowing he was off. Instead of just brushing me off, he took the time to ask what I was looking to get, went over placement with me, and found a time a few days later that worked for us both. He was very professional throughout my appointment time and his attention to detail is impressive. I have a ton of tattoos from plenty of artists and Mike is hands down one of the most detailed, cleanest line work, and has a gentle hand.

My sister and I came in today for sister tattoos. This was my first tattoo and she hasnt had one in years. I live in Boston and she lives down here in Houston. I cant say enough about how happy we are with Mike. He was able to take us in, draw up exactly what we wanted and took the time to place it correctly, even after I thought it was ok. He was kind and honest. Im thrilled with his work. His linework is beautiful. Cant recommend enough. Ill be back next time Im in Houston if he can still fit me in his schedule!

Once we chose this location. We called and spoke to a mike gave him the number of people and he set a certain price/time for our tattoos. The next day we get there before our appointment time and this man was 45 min late, and instead of coming ready to do work he came in with the worst attitude. He then stated that the price he told us was not the correct price for the tattoos, he began to talk disrespectful to my older sister (going back and fourth) and ive never seen a man talk to a women like that in a customer service setting. We left the shop came back to use another artist then this mike started harassing us for going to someone else. He wouldnt let us solidify anything with another artist stating this is my shop so you can get out!. If mike truly is the manager the only thing he should be managing is his attitude, anger, and the tone he speaks to potential clients. If you are looking for excellent customer service and attention to detail this location should not be in your lineup. I am almost 100% certain these positive reviews are fake or paid for. We came for a Thanksgiving family bonding experience, and only left thankful that we didnt use mike as our artist.

Second time getting a tattoo with Mike (Miguel). He is such an amazing artist and you can tell he cares about the work he does and his clients. He goes above and beyond, manually editing and fixing designs found on Pinterest or the Internet and he will do you right! Affordable pricing and thorough instructions for aftercare as well!

I chose this tattoo shop because it had amazing reviews and some good pictures online when I arrive some man with dreads who works in the very back came to the front and said he could do my tattoo. It was very simple and I just wanted it in red. As he was tattooing, I had already felt like it was very faint and very thin so I had asked him if he could make it a bit more dark . I left happy but then the next day and the day after I noticed that the tattoo started looking very faint, and wasn’t healing like any other tattoos that I have ever had. I went to my tattoo shop where I always go home and they told me I would have to wait two weeks to get it touched up and fixed but that the tattoo definitely looks overworked and is fixed . I also pay 140 for both these red tattoos.

Mike has done 5 tattoos of mine and I absolutely love them all! He works at such a good pace and the line work is absolutely amazing! I have about an hour drive to him and each time I make the drive. By far has been my favorite tattoo artist. The shop is so clean and quiet. Recently I took my daughter with me who is very young and he was still patient with us which meant a lot!! If you’re considering a tattoo please do yourself a favor and Go to mike! He is super great! I intend to come back for more!

Mike is very reasonabhe helps you decide how you want your tattoo. He draws it out for you, he shows you different styles. He shows you different ways that he can do it. He dont push you to getting any tattoo that you do not like. He shows you his work before you even start getting your work done. I love my first tattoo I was scared and he has a very light hand that I am ready to go for another one. Just havent decided what to get but it will be pretty soon I recommend him one hundred percent.And dont forget he is very sterale and clean. This uses new needle for everyone.

After having no luck with another tattoo artist to capture my vision for my next tattoo. I did some searching and came across Mikes shop. I walked in, we spoked about my vision and he said I got you. I can make it look better than what you have in mind when I saw the drawing indeed it was better than what I had envisioned. Mike delivered and I will certainly will be going back.

My friends and I tried to get a tattoo for Friday the 13th. Waited for a couple hours and it was too full so we left no big deal. We came back Saturday around 9 to try again, we picked our tattoos and signed the consent forms, around 2 am the front desk girl tells us we would be getting the tattoos in 30 min, 30 min later we go in and she tells us the artists are too tired. We are annoyed at this point but we understood the situation so they honored the weekend special if we booked appointments during the week so we did it for tonight (Wednesday October 18 at 10pm).We get there and the lights are off and door is locked, when we got a hold of someone on the phone we were told that the studio had a plumbing situation and they had to close. When we asked why we didn’t receive a courtesy call we were told they didn’t have our numbers, even though they kept our consent forms as a form of placeholder and our phone numbers were there. Totally unprofessional and a waste of time.

I went in last night to get a tattoo, actually my best friend and I did. I didn’t get exactly what I wanted because he was professional enough to tell me what I wanted wasn’t good there. So I went around and chose something similar to what I wanted. My best friend was completely satisfied and happy with hers and so was I. He is very clean, professional, even lets you know new needle. Never have I had heard that in a tattoo to actually show you and tell you even though you know it’s knew. From my experience you get what you pay for. You want something cheap then don’t complain when it’s ugly. But a good tattoo is always gonna have a good price because it’s professional done and with good work. I highly recommend mike. Like I said very professional and did a awesome job with us. We will definitely be going back! 😊

Came on Friday 13th to get a tattoo done but he was pretty packed! He stayed until probably 5am on Friday doing people and then again on Saturday because he extended the special! My tattoo came out absolutely amazing! His lines are so smooth and precise!! He really cares about what he does. Excellent work!

Seriously can’t recommend Mike Contreras enough! I went in yesterday for a friday the 13th tattoo, it was hectic and very busy but he managed it very well. His partner did my tattoo, I loved it but there was a few areas i wanted touched up so I texted him and he was very understanding and had me come in to touch it up right when they opened. he didn’t charge me and also gave me a couple free pieces of septum jewelry when I asked to buy a septum ball. I’ll definitely be booking with him soon. If you’re looking for an artist I would definitely say check him out!

Not a horrible experience but the guy that did my piercing was less than professional. I had to wait 30 min while he finished up a tattoo which was fine but he didn’t tell me till literally right before it was time to do the piercing that it was gonna be $30. I had to wait about another 15 min for the money to go through zelle because he gave me the wrong number at first so I sent some random person $30 that I’ll now have to dispute. Meanwhile I tried to make small talk he was pretty much in his own world scrolling through his phone uninterested in me. When it was finally done he didn’t give me any advice on how to keep it clean or tell me how long it would take to heal he just gave me a thumbs up and told me that was it. Good thing the trusty internet told me everything I needed to know. I wouldn’t go back next time I’ll just wait for you pick it we stick it to open up

Went to get my septum pierced and he pierced it wrong. the piercing was crooked, wouldnt stay down, and just overall was so messed up I had to take it out. so when I get home and take it out the piercing starts gushing blood. to say the least I wont be going back. such a waste of money.

A waste of time! I sent a detail picture he gave me a price , and when I got there he changed the price, don’t go there unless you want to waste your time or over pay, to be honest I really don’t think he likes black people, plus I waited a very long time and the guy didn’t even greet me , sad place foreal.

I’ve gotten a few tattoos here and they have live work. Place is always alive and a comfortable atmosphere. They even stayed open 2 hours late to finish up my work no hesitation. Definantly recommend this place

Tattoos are great just felt like he rushed us and didn’t want to color our tattoos , also was pretty pricey and because he rushed he mixed up the colors on the only thing he did color.

If I could i would give this 0 stars. Loud, vulgar, obnoxious piercer. Very unclean and unprofessional. Went to get a nose piercing and he dropped it on the floor and didnt attempt to re-sanatize it or anything. I will never go here again and i highly recommend that everyone do the same.
