Decades of experience in that shop as well. Get tattooed by everyone there. Most of my tattoos have been done by Juan and Justin respectively

I have been going to True Love Tattoo for a year now and I have specifically being going to Kelsey. I went in for a walk in and was referred to her because she was the only person who had an opening at the time, and I’m so glad I got her as my artist! She was just coming off of her apprenticeship and I wanted a pretty decent sized traditional style octopus on my leg and she worked with me and after seeing her work on IG and then the final project I knew there was no one else I wanted to start and finish my leg sleeve but her. After that I would go back about every month or once my tattoo was healed and now my leg sleeve is basically finished. Kelsey is kind, funny, easy to talk to, will work with you to get you what you need and want, and above all an incredible artist! If you want a tattoo this shop has a plethora of great artists but personally I give Kelsey my highest recommendation!! She’s also very light handed. I have two full sleeves and my whole right side done. And now thanks to Kelsey I have a full chest piece and my almost full leg sleeve complete, and many more to come! She turns visions into reality! Thank you true love and thank you Kelsey! I have found my permanent artist while I remain in Jacksonville!!

Went for a walk in following a friends recommendation for Erics work. We had an American traditional tattoo that me and a buddy wanted that a group of us was getting. After speaking with Eric he had capacity the next day for both of us. He was friendly, made us feel comfortable, made sure we were happy with position for military regulations, had a steady & soft hand & was very personable. After seeing how close he was able to replicate the original persons tattoo to color, scale & all without it in front of him I will definitely be back for more work!

I’ve gotten several tattoos from this shop, and have recommended them my friends and family who have also gone and left highly satisfied. The shop is extremely clean and professional. The staff is always inviting and willing to work with you to give you exactly what you want. My tattoos are vibrant and colorful . Justin is amazing at that. I get compliments on his work daily. Clean, friendly, well priced! When i came in it was kind of on impulse and the artist there was very patient and drew me up this right there for free just off a badly edited image i showed them! Super clean work, coulda slept during shading. 100% will come back i couldnt have asked for a better first time tattoo experience!!

Was coming to Jax to visit family and wanted to get some work done. Had ideas about what I wanted (Im a boxing ring announcer and wanted an old school microphone) but wasnt exactly sure. I researched several shops and artists and was able to get in with Max and he put together a PERFECT piece for what I wanted. Very clean and friendly atmosphere all around. Couldnt be happier!

Truck broke down across the street. I couldn’t get Uber or Lyft to work on phone so came in to ask if I could use WiFi to download app. They were super cool with it. Chilled there until driver arrived. Looked like a badass tattoo shop. Thanks for the help!

This is the best shop I’ve ever been to. Everyone was so nice and no matter how busy they got, they always greeted everyone coming in the door. Juan was amazing and very gentle with me. I came in on a walk in because another shop decided last minute they couldn’t do my tattoo. They fit me in and stayed late so that Juan could finish my stomach piece. This is my new tattoo spot and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone else looking.

My favorite tattoo shop in jax wouldnt recommend a different place juan in my opinion is the best traditional tattoo artist in the city && will not steer you wrong ask him what hes been working on lately

I recommend this shop for anyone looking to get a tattoo. The shop is super clean, the atmosphere is great and welcoming, and the artists are amazing. I have gotten tattooed by both Justin and Juan, and I have always been satisfied with the end result. Sometimes, I will go in with an idea and after the consultation, the artist has made changes to the design that make it way better than I anticipated. I have over 25 total tattoos by them and all of them are incredible! True Love has never disappointed me, or anyone else I know who has been tattooed from there!

My husband and I were a walk-in for matching tattoos. Kelsey helped us as soon as we talked through the door and was quick to get us tatted! She was so kind and talented, we love our new tattoos!

These guys are talented artists! Everyone at the shop is friendly and welcoming. No diva attitudes here. They will offer their input, but have no problems changing the design at your direction. Good conversation, good vibes, great prices and awesome tattooing skills. You will not be disappointed.

Got my work done by Eric who did an amazing job. I had some ideas but didn’t really know how to put them together so I let him run with it. He more than exceeded what I had in mind for my vision of what I wanted. He explained the colors he chose and how they would look on my specific skin tone and made sure i was happy with everything before we started. I haven’t gotten any work done from any of the other artists there but just looking at their portfolios there’s some real talent in this place. It’s also got a great vibe and is super clean. I know it sounds silly, but even the bathroom was clean. You can tell a lot about a place whether it be a restaurant or tattoo shop by how the bathrooms are maintained lol. They take real pride in the cleanliness and have real pride in their shop and it shows. If I get more work done I’ll definitely be hitting these guys up!

After having a booking nightmare with another local tattoo shop, we thankfully found True Love Tattoo and they were able to fit my entire group (7 people on a birthday trip for the weekend) as soon as we called. The entire staff at True Love were extremely nice, detailed, and organized while we were explaining what we all wanted. Max gave my sister her first tattoo and did a phenomenal job. He was patient and walked her through what to expect. He hand drew a small calligraphy design that she and we all fell in love for her first tattoo! Eric and Max handled the other 6 of us getting mother/daughter tattoos in a timely and sanitary manner, making sure to clean their stations after each session, all while giving each of us our own individual experience. We couldn’t have been happier with the guys at True Love and their fun, friendly, and comfortable shop. If you’re in the area, this is the shop to go to for sure. You will not be disappointed!

True Love Tattoo is the only tattoo shop I will ever go to again. The shop is bright and super clean with an open floor plan so you can see everything. I have had both sleeves, a chest piece, both legs, both sides and currently working on a full back piece by Justin and I couldnt be more happy with the end result! Justin and Juan are two of the nicest guys I know, and truly love what they do as artists. So, if your thinking about where to go for your next tattoo, go to True Love!!!! you wont regret it!!!!!!

I will only come to this studio. Fantastic artists, the banter is always great and the music is always good. I always consider this studio the Mecca because the best artists in Jacksonville came together in this place. I’ll always describe it that way to anyone who asks me where to go for tattoos. If I had more money to spend on tattoos I’d be in here every month. Can’t speak this high about any other shop I’ve been to.

True love is the place to go if its your first tattoo or 100th. Ive been getting work done by Justin for years and always walk away thrilled with the work he does. The over all shop atmosphere is unlike any other shop I have been too everyone is friendly and professional and willing to go above and beyond to create the perfect master piece i wish i could rate them above 5 stars.

Max is a top tier Artist, I recommend him highly. Tattoo execution is to the customer wants and need , I trust his knowledge and understanding of how the tattoo should be done . All the work Max has done for me has made me highly satisfied 💯🔥

Awesome trip to True Love! Friendly over the phone while making an appt for my husband and I (esp when compared to calling other shops). I didnt even ask what their minimum was but that info was provided to me by the person making my appt. He took my deposit over the phone and had an appt for us the very next day. Max and Eddy did our tattoos and they both came out great. We were both scheduled with Max but Eddy freed up and quickly jumped in to help us get in and out. Our lines are clean/ tattoo looks exactly like what we wanted/showed them examples of and although I know procedure to take care of a tat they still gave us directions again before leaving. The shop is clean and simple, def will go back to them if we need something else!

Juan did some crazy good tats for me at a great price, place is nice and clean artists are professional, helpful, and always trying to give the best outcome possible for their clients. Give em a try, it’s a great shop, especially if your looking for a place to get your first tat or add on to your current ones.

Walked in without an appointment one night and didnt know what to expect. Eric was extremely helpful and did a great job doing exactly what I wanted. I didnt want anything big and he got the size and concept right the first time. The studio was clean and everyone was friendly. They had their work shown throughout on the walls and in photo books on the table.

This was my 2nd professional tattoo and my best experience I was helped by Marzan (hopefully I spelled that right) he was amazing clean work, great personality and just a all around great experience. I will definitely be coming back, The artist there are real friendly and professional and the place has a great atmosphere definitely go check them out if your looking.

My husband and I stopped into True Love tattoo last night around 8:45pm, as soon as we entered the shop we were immediately greeted and felt welcomed. We were partnered with Max. I was a little unsure of what I wanted and size but Max was very patient and never made me feel rushed. Once I decided on a 3D feather, Max designed a dope tatt and we started the process. Let’s just say the tattoo is DOPE, veryyyyyy detailed. He is very gentle and doesn’t drill you to death like some artist. My husband and I will definitely be coming back to Max for more work.

Couldnt ask for a more relaxed atmosphere. Everyone is great. Will definitely be back. Max was my artist, cant wait to set up another.Yall come see these guys...nothing like some new ink for a new year!

Got a tattoo today by Jilver. Top to bottom, the best tattoo shop Ive been to. They set me up with the correct artist, as Jilver is the only one in the shop that works in realism. He was very detailed in his work and it came out fantastic. I would 100% go back.

This shop is far and away one of the best Ive ever been to. The artists are extremely helpful and actually get excited about their work. Where to even begin? True Love Tattoo is the best tattoo shop in Jacksonville, hell id even argue the entire east coast. The artists are truly that, artists. They create truly one of kind tattoos that transform boring blank skin into radiant works of art. I have 10+ tattoos from this shop and will happily be getting many more then that in the future. True Love is a fitting name because thats exactly what i feel for everything about this wonderful shop.

Justin is an amazing artist and so fast with minimal to no breaks... Shops a lot of fun all the artists are great high recommend booking an appointment with any of those artists.
