Monarch Tattoo

I was in search of someone who did glitter tattoos and came across Boonzie from Monarch Tattoo. She added a compass/watch to my arm and made it blend perfectly to the work I already had. She is very professional, creative and friendly. My tattoo came out absolutely beautiful. The shop vibe was warm and inviting. I would definitely recommend Boonzie. I will be a returning for more work. The other artists were personable and did amazing work from what I seen. Monarch Tattoo is the place to go!

I got a tattoo with Boonzie today and was very pleased. Went in just for information and pricing and she was able to get something completed today. Very clean lines and love the look of how my grandkids are represented. She was great to work with and Id definitely recommend.

Melissa got me in very promptly for my first tattoo, made me feel comfortable and was great to talk to! The process was easier than I expected. The atmosphere was friendly and open, Ill be sure to be back!Kody was also present and made me feel as if I was a welcome regular with his conversation during my appointment, Ill be sure to have him do something in the future too!

I got a GORGEOUS tattoo today by Boonzie at Monarch. From the moment I walked in the energy was so light and fun. All the staff was welcoming and you can tell they all really enjoy working with each other.The facility was super clean and I was offered water and food any time I needed a break from the needle.At one point I got a little nausea and mini panic attack and Kody started to sing a gospel song to calm my nerves. Boonzie soon joined in and before long my anxiety was gone! The beautiful harmony by Boonzie and Kody was so thoughtful.I highly recommend Monarch Tattoo. I had such a great time there I can’t wait to go back for more ink (and more gospel)

I have been a monthly client (now friend) at Monarch for over 6 years: I have spent literally hundreds of hours under the needle and they are absolutely top notch folks. From artistry and quality of tattoo to their welcoming and friendly demeanors, they are all super humans and tattooers. Don’t call! Go visit them, see their work and take in their vibes…. You’ll be happy you did.

I called this place a few months ago to ask questions about tattoos, prices and possible appointments. I was met with a very knowledgeable and frankly calming person (it was kody, who ended up doing my tattoo); he encouraged me to look at other tattoo artists and he was the only one who reccomended this out of all 5 I talked to. The entire time he was very kind, I didnt feel judged at all (it was a scar cover up) and he did a wonderful job. For all 5 hours he was very attentive and made sure I had water, we took breaks and generally had a good time for the entire appointment. Sadly we had to leave one part unfinished because I needed to go home, but he was eager to make a follow up appointment, not only to finish the tattoo but to make sure the ink took to the scars. The other staff that was there were funny and kind, I saw some of Lyods (?) work and it was gorgeous. I fully recommend this place, and I will definitely be returning. I understand this review was long, but the emotional freedom I am feeling right now is amazing.

My favorite and go to, tattoo shop. Boonzie is my favorite artist but everyone there is so talented and fun to chat with. Welcoming environment, you just feel safe there. I just got another tat done by Boonzie today. Truly believe theyre the best shop in the Tri.

Kody Flannery is the man! Great environment, but most importantly the tattoo is AMAZING, and I fall more and more in love with it the longer I look at it. This was my first ever tattoo and he made me feel very comfortable.

Most welcoming tat place i have been in. staff was friendly and helpful, and jason was awesome. made me feel at ease from the start. my tattoo has help up beautifully. the pic is from today, the tat was done over 2 years ago. still as beautiful as when i got it done. i cant recommend them enough, and will be taking my son there for his first tattoo soon!

I was very impressed with the staff at Monarch! Everyone was friendly and handled interruptions well, and I felt very comfortable and valued. My tattoo artist, Melissa was amazing! She is so talented and kind. She asked me questions and talked through my design with me.My biggest takeaway overall was how welcoming the studio is. Ive had some not great experiences in the past at other shops, so this was a big must for me.

Man they all do great work there. If you are afraid to be let down or dissapointed then you should come here for all your tattoo needs. I got a cover up of my exs lips and initials and now its like it was never there.

My mom took me in to get my first tattoo at this shop. Matt did a great job helping put it all together and in the end it took him about two full hours to finish the piece and it looks great. Its a super friendly environment and they all try to make you feel better and no so nervous, because trust me I was. Would definitely go back!

Monarch tattoo is amazing. The shop is always clean, professional, and inviting. Ive been going to Kody for several years and he has always surprised and amazed me. I have never been disappointed. Even though Ive never been tattooed by Jason and Matt, they are masters of their work and it shows. They create some beautiful tattoos. Everybody that works/worked there has always been friendly and you feel more like your hanging out with friends than getting tattooed.

I love, love, love Monarch Tattoo in Downtown Kennewick! Kody is the BEST! He is a very talented artist and has a soft touch. He draws the most amazing things and then tattoos them so well they look alive! The colors he uses are very vibrant. The shop is a fun place and sparkling clean. I cant wait for my next visit.

Sadly, was not impressed by our artist. The artist my family and I had was Matt, he did amazing work but was very rude and harsh the whole time. We asked him twice to resize our tattoos (having never asked where we were placing them) and both times he scolded us and was giving us rude remarks for it. He didn’t ask us where we wanted our tattoos or any other questions. We had to tell him the colors we wanted while he was prepping because he never asked and poured all black ink, then got upset with us because of it. I have heard nothing but wonderful things from this shop and I am very sad that I have to write a review like this but I don’t want other people paying the non-refundable deposit and getting treated like we did. Worst experience I have ever had/even heard of personally at a tattoo shop.

I had been thinking of doing this for about 3 years. I finally chose Monarch Tattoo based on the great reviews each of the artists have received. I felt comfortable with my choice beforehand and am soooo happy with my choice after! Matt was awesome! He was able to work within my schedule perfectly, even when I changed my mind a couple of times with what I wanted. Highly recommend this place!

FRAUD ! Took my deposit and does not want to give it back or give me a tattoo after having a agreement! Definitely don’t reccomend Matthew Barnes!!!! Go anywhere but here.

Matt did a tattoo for me 2 years ago that I absolutely love. I get so many compliments on it! Matt has a super calm disposition and his experience made for the most relaxing tattoo session ever. 10/10

Ive made some mistakes with my tattoos in the past and havent thought through the tattoos or the people I let do them. After seeing the bears that Kody did on my wifes arm (which, by chance, we found the picture of her arm later on a list of top 40 bear tattoos) I scheduled the largest tattoo I have to date. 5 full day sessions in and I have gotten to know the entire staff at Monarch. Between Kody, Lloyd and Matt you get the perfect combination of professionalism, great business practice and the fun you hope to have in a place like this! If you going to put something on your body that wont wash off, these are the guys to go to!

Monarch and all the artists are very professional and fun! The shop has a very laid back environment but stays professional at the same time. They participate in community activities such as their blood drive last year. I highly recommend them to everyone who is looking to get a tattoo!

GOT my first tattoo today and it was something my husband drew up. Heard a lot of horror stories about tattoos but Matt made me feel at ease and relaxed didnt hurt as bad as everyone made it out to be. THANK YOU MATT!!!!!

Going into a tattoo shop can be very intimidating, especially if its your first tattoo. Not the case here. The guys at Monarch are professional, dedicated artists. Kody Flannery is very patient and great at taking your ideas (and I had a lot!) and turning them into something awesome. Hes also a cool guy and makes you feel at ease while hes working away. Monarch is a very clean shop that turns out high quality work.

Though this is not the norm, I was able to walk in this afternoon and met Jason. I was looking to have my daughters watermark placed on my forearm. He was able to get me completed in less than a hour! Staff was very friendly and business was very clean and professional. Would highly recommend Monarch to everyone. Thanks again for the great service!

Monarch is hands down the best tattoo shop that I have ever had the privilege of being tattooed at. They are very clean and sterile and have an awesome and inviting environment. I personally recommend Monarch to of my friends looking to get tattooed. They are awesome!!!

Clean and decorated with a wide variety of art from an eclectic collection of tattoo artists. Exceptional skill and made my husband and I comfortable. Got my first big tattoo and his artistic representation of what I had in mind was spot on. I didnt think l would want to work towards a sleeve, but am now hooked! Strongly recommend. Be patient they are in demand and watch for book opening alerts.

Jason has done three of my tattoos & one for my husband. He does an amazing job & is a fantastic artist. We will definitely be going back for more in the future.

Ive been getting tattoos from Monarch for over a year strieght and I have to say they have me as a client for life. Not only can my idea be put into ink, the knowledge and experience is unmatched by surrounding tattoo shops. The staff (Jason, Kody, Matt) work really hard to get the image in your head into ink for a beautiful, life long, satisfactory tatoo. They work with you, instead of telling you what can or cant do (like other shops I have been to). Its your skin, and your idea, so they respect that and make it happen. Monarch rocks and if your thinking of getting some ink, this is the place to do it.

Vibe when you walk in is awesome! The shop is clean and neat without being clinical feeling, artists are friendly and engaging and its an all around awesome shop! Going back soon to get more ink!

Ive had a full back piece and working on a leg sleeve currently. Very sanitary, excellent artists, and a funique atmosphere in the shop. First ink or full sleeve I recommend stopping in to see them.

I requested frim Lloyd Woodromea complete tattoo not just the outline he cancel my may appointment and on june 06 2021 he told me that he didn’t remember that he made the appointment to finish the tattoo and that if i wanted to reschedule now i have an unfinished tattoo thanks to a bad job of Lloyd Woodrome from the business monarch please no good business ethics and i would not recommend Llyod Woodrome or the monarch business to no one hates the business

Made an appointment a week in advance, showed up on the scheduled day and they told me I was scheduled for the day I made the appointment, didnt try to compromise just acted like it was my fault. Never stepping foot in this shop again.

By far the BEST work I have had in Washington so far, and Ive gone to almost a dozen different shops. Cant wait to go back!
