I’ve been going to Rudy at Chimera Body Art for over 10 years, and I’ve always had an amazing experience. From the moment I walk in, he makes me feel like family. Ive never had a tattoo before in came here and it was the best experience! I had all my tattoos done by Rudy and I love them. I did get 6 tattoos in the matter of 3 months, so it was definitely not cheap, but I paid for permanent art that I will love until the day I die and I have no regrets!

Such a great first experience here at Chimera with Rudy! She super detail oriented and takes pride in what she does. She spent a while, adjusting and readjusting the stencil to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. Rudy gave me way more then a beautiful art! It was a healing experience I didn’t know I needed after battling weeks of deep depression alone. He was more then willing to share his experiences and previous struggles and showed me how he managed to do it as well. Even offered me a shiny carrot of showing me the combat and fitness center next door where I can learn to control my breathing and emotions and gain some much needed skills along the way. Seriously can’t thank you enough for taking the time to deal with me and my emotions. And about the art he gave me the tools I need in this piece to start fighting. All I did was tell him about the Jedi Symbol, the Rebel Symbol, and my hero Luke sky-walkers ship and saber and he combined them magically to fit my tiny hand and covering self harm scars along the way! Rudy did great, I love the tattoo and everything came out perfectly. He made sure it was as least painful as possible and went out of is way to be a great host. He took the time to sit down and make a custom one piece with me and it came out better than what I came into the store with.

I went in on the 9th of November and was immediately greeted. I was tattooed by Brisa and let me tell you: she was amazing. She was nice and funny and made sure I had what I needed and made sure I liked the design before tattooing me. This is my second tattoo and its been many years between, I live with chronic pain and anxiety and was nervous before going, I was treated like family; made comfortable and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! Chimera has been one of the first tattoo studios on The Blvd for as long as I can remember, and its success makes absolute sense. Rudy (the owner and artist) is so welcoming, professional, friendly and beyond talented! I went in at first to check out the studio after reading the wonderful ratings on yelp from other reviewers. My visit confirmed what I read.The studio is clean, very cool and customized decor. Its not like most tattoo studios at all, and it has its own style. The equipment Rudy uses is clean and updated tools. The bed/chair you sit on is comfortable and adjustable which definitely is an overseen important factor when getting tatted (especially for long period of time).Rudy is a family guy and has a very calm energy to him, which is important to me as I wouldnt want someone with bad energy touching me while tattooing. His wife is just as dope as a FNP and also does body contouring and skin tightening at the studio too which was a perfect surprise as my girlfirend who came in during my tattooing was in search for. The combo of a highly skilled and friendly tattoo artist-business owner with a nurse practitioner in the mix made me feel super safe and taken care of.I was sooooo excited seeing my tatt that he did, and the after care with the ink sack he put on top of the fresh ink on my back was the first Ive seen and experienced.Seriously the best tattoo experience Ive ever had (I have several tatts from different places). I DEFINITELY will be back for more with Rudy at Chimera!

Rudy (the manager here) is an incredible artist. He has the best tattoo crew in Southern California as well. I got my first tattoo here and Ill be going back for another. They make sure that you see when they sanitize all equipment and chairs. They also make you feel comfortable before they start anything. No pressure here at all. I got a tattoo to commemorate my mothers recent passing. So it had to be perfect. I would give my tattoo a perfect 10. There isn’t anyone else that I trust with my tattoos other than Rudy. My very first piece he took the time to ask the background story, worked within both of our time frames, and delivered something we both would be proud of. To this day, I don’t allow anyone to finish my sleeve but him. Not to mention he is very light handed and fast as hell! We knocked out a half sleeve in a matter of basically a day! Great art aint cheap, cheap art aint great. I think its hilarious someone would whine about an ARTIST like Rudy being expensive when you KNOW what he quotes you before anything gets started.He sat down and we came up with a game plan for my sleeve and the entire process could have come together faster but his schedule and my dialysis cant be exclusive of each other.Rudy and his team are just the right combo of crazy and professional and what you want is what youll get. Sometimes youll even get what you didnt know you wanted.I just need to figure out how to pay for the next sleeve, and chest piece...... Love you Rudy!!!!

He is very talented has do e most of my tattoos that I love and did exactly what I wanted and even made them better with his ideas. Loved this place, soon as I walked in they treated me like family. I knew I wanted a raven but it was also a cover up piece, Rudy came prepared with several different options that would work best with the ink already there. Out of the 14 prices I have gotten from around the world this one both hurt and bled the least thanks to Rudys expertise with his craft. 10/10 would go again and encourage others.

What I can say about Chimera Body Art is simply amazing. I was a tattoo virgin lol but as soon as I knew what I wanted and whent in I was treated like family by the owner Rudy. He took the time to explain the process and to tell me how things were going to go down. Once it was tattoo time we spend 9 hours doing my half arm sleeve, but during those 9 hours there was never a dull moment, joking around, listening to music, conversating we even stop took a break for dinner and got back on track, we finished at 2am but man was it worth it, there was never any rush on his part. Ive gotten 2 other tattoos since then and everytime I go in I always have a blast. Ive recommended people and they always give me positive and amazing feed back. Rudy and his staff are simply the best and I will be getting tatted by no on else but him.
