Rays Tattoo

Got my first tattoo done by Dillon. 10/10 experience. Made sure I was comfortable and also encouraged me to speak up about anything I was unsure of or didn’t like! The tattoo is everything I wanted it to be and more. Looking forward to getting more work done here. Highly recommend

Very responsive, honest, reasonably priced shop. The artists are knowledgeable and it’s a very calm, comfortable, accepting environment. In love with the work I’ve gotten from Ray! Ive gotten 3 of my tattoos here, and I plan to keep coming back. Highly highly recommend.

I’ve gotten work done at a few different shops where I’ve experience good and bad but Ray’s tattoo in Lincoln was the best experience yet! Dillon is the artist I worked directly with, he took days of drawing out my idea until each and every little detail is how I envisioned it. He was very patient, kind, and genuine the entire time and wanted to make sure I got the tattoo of my dreams which I did!! Even during the tattoo he took his time and made sure that every line was perfect and I’m in love with my new piece done by him! The other artists in the shop were welcoming and down to earth, super enjoyable environment and I will be going back!!

All about money, not about tattoos with Ray and his staff.

I’m from Chicago and I knew it was going to be tough to find a trustworthy and reputable tattoo shop within the area. I was planning on getting a lip tattoo, which is a challenge in many ways. I went to Dillon, who did me and friends’ tattoos perfectly. The atmosphere is so great and it is very clean! Can’t wait to go here for all my future tats (:

I had Maxwell do a Maltese Cross with flames. There was some pretty intricate detail within the design and it came out better than I even imagined. Ill be proud to recommend Rays to anyone looking to have some work done. Great people, great service, inviting atmosphere- Ill definitely be back!

Absolutely amazing work! I walked in a couple hours before they closed and I walked out with something better then I could have expected. I had Ray, and I can say nothing but how impressed I was with his personality and artistry. He was very professional, and overall it was just an awesome experience.

Ray loves to run with your ideas and take it to places that a lot of tattoo artist dont even think about going. For the people who want to trust their tattoo artist 100% with their skin and not have to have no worries, RAYS is the place to go. I will update a picture of what Im having done April 3rd. Until then come in and get your own masterpiece done. Ive been seeing Ray for over 35 years. True that Doggz.

Having been to other artists before, I got my last two tattoos at Rays, with Ray and Michelle. I will never go anywhere else again. I could not be happier with their beautiful artwork, their patience with the process of getting everything just right, or the comfortable atmosphere at the shop. This is what the tattoo experience should always be!

Very unhelpful staff (didnt ever get to talk to an artist) - first called and was told to walk in w\o appointment because they couldnt provide any estimates over phone, then went in and was told to give them a phone number to call us back but still had no idea on any time estimate (15 minutes? 4 hours? 3 days??). Seems very clique-ish, felt like they decided we werent worth their time. Would highly recommend other places in town - had much better results at the Iron Brush.

Had tattoos done by ray, and rippy. Both times were enjoyable, and would love to go back when I can to get more work done. Definitely would suggest them to anyone.

I had pieces of art done by Michelle, Maxwell, and Ray. Im ecstatic about how they all turned out and plan on getting both my sleeves done there. The Koi fish turning into a Dragon(from a Japanese folk story) is not complete yet, but it will be soon. Just so many ideas. Theyre the best in town, and I refer them to everyone who asks me where to go to get a fine tattoo done. Its a laid back setting and all are very professional.Jake V.

Ray does phenomenal work. He did a cover-up on me and did a great job. He put a tremendous amount of detail into it, his line work is super smooth, and he used incredible colors.

I was just going through the reviews before I got my next tattoo which I will get one here shortly, thanks Covid!! The fact the owner is actually replying to comments tells me a lot about their integrity and willing to work with people In getting exactly what we would want in a tattoo. As soon as they open up tattoo parlors again I will definitely come in there for a pricing

It was over ten years since my last tattoo and I was ready for a new one. I didnt have a local shop or artist. I started looking for artists and artwork. When I had my concept done, I found Rays. The first time I met with Rippy, I swear he could have been a young Harold Finch from Person of Interest. Rippy took my concept and produced a piece of artwork that exceeded my expectations. The shop is very relaxing, the time on the table disappeared quickly, and there were very few distractions. Getting a tattoo should be a very personal experience. Im not sure how to write a review, but, I will say without any hesitation; If my wife, daughter, or son was wanting to get a tattoo, I would drive them to Rays so they can meet the artists at that shop.

I got my very first tattoo done by Michelle and i can say without a doubt it was the best tattoo experience of my life so far. the shop is very calm and relaxing and clean, you dont feel rushed or unwanted , she listened to my idea and helped me figure out exactly how i wanted it . she took her time and made it perfect . she also made me feel very comfortable and relaxed and was very wasy to talk to :) I sincerely regret not getting my other 2 tattoos done at rays :(

Rippy was great to work with, he incorporated a past tattoo with what I wanted- I love how my watercolor tattoo turned out.

Phenomenal work steady paced clean fun and professional staff Ive gotten ink from Dillon and now Rippy both times theyve gone above what the usual artist does now a days as long as Im in Lincoln Ill know that when I take my money there it isnt gonna be wasted.

Best friend & I stopped to do a consultation on tattoos & they were closed, yet their website says open. Found out you have to make an appointment just to do a consultation?

Tried overcharging and then disrespected me after I called them out. They thought it was my first tat and tried to take advantage. Probably good artists but they’re even better swindlers

Came in to discuss getting a tattoo in the near future. Wanted a design made uniquely by the artist. Basically I was told I needed to bring in an exact picture of what I wanted. Will go elsewhere as I dont want a copy and paste tattoo.

Got a large piece done on my back today. Outstanding customer service and skill. Highly recommend. Best service recieved for a tattoo yet.

In attempting to get pricing and set up an appointment, I was greatly disappointed.To begin negotiations, maybe starting off with the minimum price allowed would have helped. Once we were up to the ninth email, then I was told $60 minimum. I am from the older generation with communication, etc. Unfortunately, will not be able to experience tattoos from Rays at this time.

Theres a reason why Rays Tattoo has been in business for so long...talented artists, friendly people, and great tats. No one else compares.

First time getting a tattoo went extremely well staff was kind and patient and I got in and out faster then the expected time frame which is always nice
