I had an existing Daith piercing that I COULD NOT get out. The staff here saw me the same day, and had a very short wait time.The whole environment was very clean and put together. The staff was very friendly for the short amount of time I was there.And we all made jokes about how stuck my earring was.Great experience. Everyone made a very good first impression very quickly.Would recommend to a friend!

My daughter and me have been going here for a couple years now - they handle all our tattoos and piercings! We love going here, everyone is so nice and amazing to work with! I don’t heal the best on my piercings and they are always so helpful with each one not only to educate me on home care but also help me pick the best jewelry to help it heal :)

Ive been in a few times for piercings and a few line tattoos. Derek recently did a flash piece that he drew up for Friday the 13th, very clean lines and i love it. Delaney did my conch, shes so sweet and cute! Thanks guys!

Great piercing place. The owner is fantastic. The piercers are total pros and work with you to find exactly what you want, and they made the whole process totally comfortable. They have a huge selection of super cool jewlery. Im so happy with my new piercing. Great prices too! Highly recommend!

Hands down the easiest, best piercing experience I’ve ever had in my life (and I’ve had over 20). Friendly staff that were super helpful through from beginning to end. Hollie was so sweet and did an exceptional job! It was the least painful experience I’ve ever had and The healing process is going so much quicker than I couldve Anticipated! I have been to Clean Slate twice now. Once for a piercing and once for tattoos. Both times I had a great experience and was super happy with what I had done. Delaney pierced my nose, and she was amazing - so nice and helpful! Zack did my tattoos, and they turned out even better than I had hoped! He was kind and patient with me through the whole process. Hollie was phenomenal! I got my septum pierced by her and she made feel super relaxed during the process. I highly recommend seeing Hollie for all of your piercing needs. The young lady who pierced my ears was very very friendly and polite. She was great at her job too! She convinced me to continue with my ear piercings despite telling me she does not numb the ears, which freaked me out a little! I will say it hurt a little, especially the piercing toward the top of my ear. But it was quick, well done and I’ve had no problems. I couldn’t be any more satisfied!

Amazing studio/shop. All staff seems to be professional. Derek is an amazing artist and does high-quality work. I recommend Clean Slate for anyone who is looking for there 1st tattoo or last tattoo. I went to two different tattoo shops before this one and they weren’t the same. After going to Clean Slate for my first time, I knew I was gonna continue to go there. For awhile I wanted to go to a female artist to be more comfortable, but I now go to a male artist at Clean Slate and I love it. The whole environment of the shop just feels so welcoming and safe. I have already recommended this place for my friends and family and I will continue to recommend this place to anyone that’s asks.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. My friend and I went in as walk ins and they were so accommodating. My artist was attentive and talented. He helped me redesign my concept and executed it perfectly while being honest about what would work and what wouldn’t as far as aging. Everything was so clean, too.

The piercers are all very sweet and comforting, however I feel burned by some of the shops actions. I have spent around $1,500 here more or less and have unfortunately decided to leave. Id say the prices are fair for the area and competing shops. Theyre clean and give good aftercare instructions as well. My problem with them is their unwillingness to backup their work and accommodate issues that arise. Ive have had four pieces of jewelry fall out from them. The first was a nose ring that I was fortunately able to put back in, followed by a daith piercing that fell out that I was also able to put back in (with much effort), then my rook piercing fell out, and finally my tragus fell out. The first one I blamed on potentially rough treatment of the piercing, the second I blamed on the jewelry not being checked for tightness often enough, the third is when I started to get upset because it was starting to become a pattern, the fourth I just felt completely angry (my tragus and rook were pierced at the same time and fell out around the same time) . I called the shop and explained that I wasnt able to put the jewelry back in because it was swollen from my attempts and I flat out didnt have the time to go into a shop and pay for new jewelry and the jewelry change fee because I was in Arizona visiting a friend. This occurred about 2 weeks after I got the piercing. I have many piercings and I know proper aftercare and everything. I called shortly after I got back home, explained what happened and asked if they would re-pierce it for free and they said no and said I shouldve called them when it fell out. I WAS IN ARIZONA, WHAT COULD THEY HAVE DONE?! On top of this garbage sundae, their jewelry has become gross and cloudy with long term wear, which none of my other jewelry bought other places (sometimes for cheaper) has done. I am not trying to be entitled, but I wish they couldve thrown me a bone considering all the money Ive spent there, as well as, recommending them to others (who did, in fact go), which I now regret. Ive spent money on piercings, jewelry changes, just jewelry in general, etc. and like I said, I feel burned knowing that they arent willing to back up their work and re-do something that is clearly a problem with their shop.

Excellent experience getting matching memorial tattoos, our artist was so patience and did an excellent job making sure we were all happy with the design. They look great! He even gave the 4 year a matching stencil so he didnt feel left out! Super friendly and chill environment

I have been getting the majority of my piercings and tattoos at Clean Slate for about 3 years now. Every time I try somewhere new, I just think about how I shouldve stuck with Clean Slate! Excellent service, prices, suuuuuper helpful.

Amazing experience today. Hannah gave my wife the color tattoo that she has been wanting for over a year now. On a walk-in, with some extra flair that was very impressive. Van, the owner of the shop did my tattoos 15 years ago and they still hold color and look great. Looks like he has continued to bring in great and talented artists. It’s a busy shop and for good reason. Highly recommend.

The place was a little confusing to find since it is in a house, but once we got there they were amazing. Place is clean and welcoming and the staff is very friendly and attentive. Only thing I wish I would’ve done is ask for a price breakdown for how much the service, earring, cleaning spray each cost.

I have been coming to Clean Slate for over a year now. All of the staff, artist and piercers have been amazing and wonderful. All work is top notch with care and safety as the number one priority. Walk-in piercings are available but they stay busy so best to make an appointment. Let the busyness and the packed schedules speak for the quality, care and amazingness of their work and practices.Derik is a supreme artist and tattooist. I highly recommend him or Paige for you tattoo desires but honestly, all the artist are just as good. Will be returning again for the next and all future work.

I’m going to take some time to revise my review. I originally visited Clean Slate Tattoo & Body Piercing Studio to get a longer bar for my floating navel piercing, As the gem was sinking into the hole. I didnt get pierced at Clean Slate! I went there because the shop where I was originally pierced at was 40 mins away and I didnt see the need to drive that far just to buy longer jewelry when clean slate was 8 mins away at the time. Although the original shop eventually fixed the issue because apparently some employees at clean slate are just too incompetent to sell me longer belly button jewelry. The gem sinking into the hole was not normal and prolonged proper healing. All I needed was longer jewelry. I called Clean Slate before coming in, explained my situation and was told I could come in. However when I arrived, I was greeted by one employee who seemed quite…inexperienced lol. Then I got greeted by another one who said she needed to get her boss to look at my piercing. The boss arrived and only reiterated that my piercing was swollen and tried to sell me a $20 aftercare product. Seems she had nothing but air in her head because this wasnt what I needed…it wasn’t swollen, Maybe she was just confused cuz I’m chunky and I just needed a longer bar like I KEEP saying. Yes, my original piercer did mess up by using a short bar…I get that. I also wanted to purchase a vertical labret since I lost one of the balls. Before I could finish explaining what I needed, I was interrupted by her saying they dont do Ashleys, which wasnt what I was asking for. When I finally got the vertical labret, it was way too small for my lips. As professional piercers, they should have known to provide the appropriate size. Luckily, The ball fit onto my last vertical labret so that work out. Anyway, yeah after the first girl I started getting irritated because what is going on with the customer service…it was just one airhead after another. Then I really got irritated because I left with no belly button jewelry…literally my whole point in going over there lol. Overall, my experience at Clean Slate was frustrating and unhelpful. Those three specifically seemed unprofessional and did not listen to my needs and most of all…annoying. So yeah I was irritated.

Holly is a great piercer. She did my daughter’s ears a few months ago and more recently her belly button. She is very friendly and skilled.

The staff here were wonderful and professional! The jewelry they use is very high quality and they have customers needs in mind by offering a variety of metal types. There’s a lot of variety with their jewelry as well - which is hard to find. I went in to get a ‘snug’ piercing and was actually advised against it and told to get a ‘faux snug’ since normal ones are hard to heal.Jk my piercings became increasingly painful and swollen beyond belief, had to go to the ER.

I had a piercing changed today, but anytime Ive needed a tatoo or piercing, Clean Slate comes to mind as one of the only shops Ill get tattooed at. One of the artists over there Van is the most skilled professional Ive met with a gun, Considering I got most my art done in DOC. Hes always booked out a bit, but its definitely worth the wait.

I loved going there! I went for a nose piercing, and was welcomed in and I gelt truly prepared to get the piercing! they are all so friendly and are there for you!!I will definitely be going back (once I get some more money) to get more piercings!

Friend convinced me to actually make this review… I got a tattoo from here a bit back (2022) and ending getting a pretty bad Staph infection and secondary infection, but I had already left the state.When I was getting it, he got pretty irritated at me for twitching when it hurt, but I get that. However, when he finished, he didn’t cover the tattoo at all? Even when I clarified that that was what he meant to do. I’d gotten a tattoo here before and it was.. fine but I definitely won’t be going back again.

I have had multiple tattoos and piercings at Clean Slate and I plan to be a client for life!! Ansley has done 3 tattoos for me so far, and I already have another booked. She is an incredibly talented artist as well as one of the sweetest people I know. She always goes above and beyond to make me feel comfortable during my sessions. I know that I can trust her to turn my ideas into a stunning and unique piece of art.Jessica and her piercing team are also wonderful. Jessica helped me to select my recent ear piercings based on my anatomy, and she and her team made the piercing and healing process as painless as possible. I have had other piercings done at different shops in the Denver area, and never been as happy with my results as I have been at Clean Slate. They also have a gorgeous selection of jewelry for both initial piercings and later jewelry changes.If you are looking for a piercing or tattoo in the Denver area, I highly recommend Clean Slate.

This is a great place to permanently alter your body with ink or punch holes in it. I say that I jest because if youre getting a tattoo or piercing, then you know its gonna leave a mark. But seriously, I love this place. The staff are friendly and very skilled/talented. Dont know what kind of design you want on your skin? Talk to the artists and theyll help you design something you will love.I chose Ansley because she is very good at listening to her clients and helping them create something they will be happy with. I went in last fall with a half-sleeve in mind, and now I have a full sleeve thats nearly complete. Im extremely happy with Ansleys work and love showing it off.

Looking for tattoo... Kevin is amazing. His lines are very clean, he is very personable and just a very nice guy that can have good conversation. Looking for piercing... Nina is so sweet and always making sure your good and ready. The whole shop is just amazing. I will always go back there, and I feel comfortable going to anyone in there. Very professional and so nice. Makes you feel comfortable and at home. Also extremely clean! 100% recommended!

I already had 13 piercings and came here to get my naval done and both girls were so sweet and talked me through the whole thing while being so genuine and Kind. I can’t recommend this place more! It’s healing wonderfully and the pain was so minimal!

Emelia at Clean Slate is the freakin best. Within a month, I got these three beauties, the barbed wire heart being a V-Day flash tat, and every time Im blown away by her line work. Her precision, effectiveness, personality, professionalism is why I chose HER to be my artist. I cant wait to have more of her work on my body. Clean Slate is very lucky to have such a talented artist.

Both of my kids have had thier piecing done here. We love this place.And now tattoo as well. The place is clean, inviting and I would just hang out there if it did not make me too creepy. Leaving 2 stars because the person that did my piercing almost a year ago was amazing and was so quick that it was painless. but getting my jewelry changed/sized down was a horrible painful experience. i’m not sure what the name of the woman was but she was condescending when answering my questions and also seemed like she didn’t really know what she was doing. not only did i bleed, but my nearly year old piercing is now extremely swollen and feels like a fresh piercing. i don’t think it should be as painful as it was just to change jewelry. definitely going somewhere else for my next piercings

Been coming here since the shop first open I have gotten every single tattoo and piercing here. All I can say is most amazing experience every single time the owner van and Jess are flat out amazing. I recommend this spot to all my friends and work colleagues honestly amazing staff overall!

Ive recieved 8 piercings through here (3 different visits) and have been primarily pierced by Hollie and Jessica, but there was also a very sweet piercer with long brown hair and bright blue eyes that I did not catch her name but she was also wonderful! I used to have 19 piercings but most of them closed up after an emergency surgery and my body went into hyper-drive trying to heal up.Im now back up to 14 piercings and theyve helped me choose some based what looks best on my anatomy - turns out I shouldnt have ever had my septum pierced as it is severely deviated and thats why it was original wonky and low. My nips were actually pierced crooked the 1st time that they were done. My nostril was put in a really odd place.They will outright tell you if something will not work on you or if the outcome will not be whats expected.I am so incredibly thankful for that they actually care about giving you quality piercings rather than just giving you what you want and then you have to deal with the problems that come with it later.Piercings arent cheap, as they should not be. Please dont pay $10 for a piercing. They start at $45 then go up based off of what type of piercing youre getting. This price includes basic jewelry, but my body hates me and I always have to go for titanium or 14k gold, the upcharge for the better quality jewelry is not insane or unreasonable.The studio is clean and organized, Ive seen a few tattoos being done and they artists here are seriously talented and best of all - hygienic. I will definitely be planning a tattoo in the near future.Hollie was able to taper two piercings back open that I thought were completely lost, which saved me money and extra pain.I am 100% satisfied with everything that Ive had done at Clean Slate, the employees are fantastic and friendly (especially Hollie with her hey girl!) and they genuinely care about giving you results that youll be happy with for years to come.Attached are some pictures of a few piercings that Ive had done.*They are not to blame for the wonky lobe piercings by the way, that is the result of my mother taking me to get my ears pierced with a gun as a baby and me being a stupid 12 year old that bought needles off Amazon and did my 2nds and 3rds by myself.*

Took my 7 year old daughter here for ear piercing and they did a wonderful job! Piercing them at the same time was much appreciated. They took the time to explain everything to my daughter and once they finally pierced it was incredibly quick. Good selection of earrings to pierce with as well! I’ve recommended everyone who has asked that also has young daughters wanting to get their ears pierced to come here! Would absolutely come back for any future piercings.

I would recommend this place to everyone. The staff is very friendly and helped me immediately when I walked in. I got my first tattoo with Derik. He was very friendly and drew my tattoo from a drawing I brought in. He had great recommendations. It took only an hour and yes it was painful but he did a really good job and he was quick. I saw Rae yesterday for a piercing change. She was polite, personable, and professional! She was knowledgeable of the jewelry, and made picking out the best piece for me a breeze. The jewelry change itself was quick and easy. She did a great job explaining the process, had a confident but gentle touch, and her station was clean. Great experience, cant recommend enough. Whole shop was in great shape, and my limited interactions with other staff members were also positive.

A friend and i were in town for a wedding and had some time to kill so we were looking for a place that did walk-ins. the wait time was short. my artist kevin was very friendly and made sure the stencil was the perfect size and location before we started. im so happy with the results and cant wait to see how it looks healed! if im ever in the area again id definitely return to the shop. thanks kevin!

My ear got infected in about of getting the piercing and the skin had grown over the piercing, I came to the shop and asked what they could do. I felt extremely helped and the took care of the infection. Would definitely recommend this place

I’ve gone the past two years for ladies night and it’s been so fun each time! I got a Labret piercing and tattoo this year and so cute! Loving it so far!! Plus when I had a worry about my piercing the piercer checked it out for me and explained what I was seeing and that everything is perfectly normal and put my mind at ease.

I had an appointment for a nostril piercing with Delaney, and she was absolutely amazing!! It was my birthday present to myself and I was not disappointed. I had never been there, but researched the place thoroughly beforehand. The shop had incredible reviews so I decided to give them a try, and man I’m definitely going to be a repeat customer for sure! Their business is clean, their employees are friendly and helpful, and Delaney- who did my piercing- was phenomenal! She explained everything from beginning to end. She was quick, and professional, and gentle with me, and gave me all the best tips on how to take care of my new piercing. I’ve had many piercings and tattoos before, but this experience was my best yet! I will definitely be back!!

We took our four year old daughter here to get her ears pierce after she had been asking for a while, how did your buddy and it couldn’t have gone better. From the initial scheduling to arrival to the actual piercing and healing instruction, everything was absolutely fantastic! They have a great due diligence process for kiddos and made sure to have two piercers to do both ears at the same time. The staff was sooo friendly and made us all feel very comfortable. Everything was clean and her piercings came out perfect. I was so impressed, I went back the next day to get an industrial piercing and it went just as flawless as my daughter’s! I would HIGHLY recommend this place for any piercing. An upcoming decision will test your straight. I’ll.

I came here bc it was the only place near me that didnt have even 1 bad review. & it didnt disappoint, Nina was AMAZING! she first greeted me w a genuine smile (it helps that shes super pretty & sweet) I had talked to her previously that day on the phone about the piercing I wanted, and the problems I had in the past and she gave me great advice and she remembered me when it came time to get my piercing and walked me through it and all the pricings for the jewelry. and im a weenie so i was super scared for the piercing and she was so calm and reassuring. we also agreed on better placement for the piercing this time and im so in love w it. it looks so much better. will be going there for any future piercings! maybe even some tattoos.

Weve had 4 people in my family get a variety of piercings here. All the piercing staff is amazing, I think weve had just about everyone do a piercing of some sort. They were amazing at helping replace jewelery. My husband was told by several piercers that he couldnt have his septum pierced and they were able to do it with zero problem. They were super patient with my 14-year old who was very nervous, but really wanted his nose pierced . I have a tattoo booked soon as well. They are great with communication, respond to emails and phone calls very quickly, I will never get a piercing anywhere else.

This place is amazing I’ve gotten my nose and belly button piercing here and they were both great so fast and painless the people that work here are so nice.

I love clean slate and I don’t trust anyone else in Denver with my piercings. Derek gave me a tattoo a long time ago (2021) turned out great, my piercings also turned out great. Super clean setup and good vibes here.

I absolutely love Clean Slate. I came in to get a tattoo done by Kevin Waltz and I was in love with the artwork provided in the beginning and at the end! The place itself felt safe and cozy, despite the idea of me getting my first tattoo done. My artist also understood that I have health issues and if I needed breaks, I just had to say so. He even knew when I was close to my breaking point near the end of my appointment but I was still willing to keep pushing forward to finish my tattoo. Its been maybe a week or two since I got my tattoo and it looks amazing! Im so happy and I would definitely come again to get more in the future!

I wouldn’t recommend this shop for tattoos. The owners treat their employees with disrespect, especially the females; several desk employees and artists have actually quit and walked out because of this. I have seen the way they are treated first hand!They also require a $100 deposit to schedule tattoos and will NOT refund even if the artist you were working with left. Find somewhere else for your tattoos!!(I tried and tried to get my deposit back but the manager refused.)**Update - yes, only AFTER my review, the owner refunded my deposit! I wasnt rude to any employees, just frustrated with their refund policy - I only spoke once to an employee about this matter, Derick, and this was over the phone. There was no swearing or harsh words...simply frustration.The only rude person was the owner when he called me directly to tell me he would refund my deposit because he refused to have me “step foot in his shop” for any tattoo because of my review!So lesson learned…if you write an honest review, you will be vilified by the business! :(

My daughter and I were here today for 2 walk-in appointments. They were super busy but worked us into their schedule with only a short wait and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Delaney was super patient and helped me figure out exactly what I wanted, especially since I wasn’t quite sure myself. You must go here if you are thinking about a piercing!! My friend and I came here on a whim wanting to get piercings. I had found out about them from a friend who gets their tattoos done here. We decided to try them out and we were blown right away by how welcoming the environment is but also how kind, patient, and through the piercer Delaney was! I had my septum and 2nd lobes pierced yesterday and was blown away by how great the experience was. My piercing artist, Hollie was so professional and friendly, and helped ease my anxiety through the whole process. She helped me pick the best jewelry for my metal sensitivity, walked me though necessary aftercare, and was so quick during the actual piercings, that I hardly felt them! I will definitely be coming back for more piercings (and maybe tats) in the future and highly recommend Clean Slate to anyone looking for a quick, clean, professional, and comfortable experience. Every dollar was well worth it!

I walked into Clean Slate yesterday for my tattoo appointment and was blown away from the minute I walked in. The staff is amazingly friendly and the place is cleaner than a hospital. It was really awesome seeing all of the smiles coming and leaving the place. The mood was terrific! I worked with Van and I’m truly amazed at how good of an artist he really is. I have seen his work in magazines and in person before but he truly impressed me. He works really fast, light handed and puts out lines straighter than a computer. Coming from a guy that has over 85 hours of tattoos, my only regret is that I didn’t let Van do all of them! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

People have always been nice every time I go. Sometimes they dont have what Im looking for when it comes to jewelry, but when they do it is always good jewelry. My piercings tend to fall out A LOT! Had a great experience for my second nose piercing. I had my nose pierced years ago at a different shop, unfortunately the experience wasnt as great as Clean Slate. The piercers at Clean Slate were professional, kind, and educational about the after care healing. The environment is clean and Ive gone back after my piercing healed for the jewelry - they are always so helpful to change it out and make recommendations.

Loved that this experience was so much better then the last time I had gotten a tattoo. Great atmosphere and Zach did an amazing job on my cover up!!!!

I have an appointment here every few months for a new tattoo. I have my go to artist Paige who is amazing. She cares so much about her tattoos being perfect and her clients loving them. Everyone here is super kind and the atmosphere is great.

The whole process of me getting a nose piercing and a tattoo from them was the best! They are so welcoming and kind. I got my nose pierced at one of their events, Ladies Night, in July. Then I just got my tattoo with Emelia. Emelia was amazing and did an amazing job! I am so happy with my tattoo. Would definitely recommend, and not too expensive either. I will be going back for my next one with Emelia.

I first came to Clean Slate for their Summer Solstice event. The vibe was not only fun but extremely professional. My artist was Emelia and we hit it off immediately. Since June, I have been back three times to have work done with her and each experience is better than the last. The staff is amazing and it feels like walking in and seeing family. I would recommend the shop to anyone and actually have done so to several friends. I cannot sing their praises enough!

I went there as a walk in and it was super busy but we waited for 15-20 minutes! I got my second peircing and it looks and feels amazing! I felt no pain at all and they gave great instructions for aftercare! I would recommend for sensitive ears!

My 9 year old had her ears pierced and the two piercers did an awesome job! Went in for a sort of impromptu repiercing job. Ive had a terrible fear of needles my whole life and had recently been doing work to get over it and recently decided to just go for! They were actually the second choice after my first choice ended up closed, by were by far the best choice. The interior of the shop is very bright and welcoming rather than the dark and grungy stereotype. The people were nice and my technician was very kind. She was very supportive the entire time and, after explaining my situation, was very reassuring and clear about what was happening through the whole thing. Didnt even need to fully pierce, she was able to just reopen the healed hole with the earring thus saving me money. Definitely recommend for the average person, but also for someone hesitantly getting over their fear of needles.

Dude this is the place to go for piercings. Went there last night and got my Monroe and was also able to get my belly button threaded. Hollie did my piercings and she is AMAZING!!!!! That is now my go to girl for piercings. I cannot say enough good things about her. She was super knowledgeable, patient and just made the whole experience comfortable for me. Polite staff, they were helpful choosing jewelry and explaining responses possible with different metals. The piercing itself was quick and clean, although they do confirm placement with you prior. Aftercare was explained throughly and they offered them on site. Cool place in general, I would recommend friends.

I came here to get my forward helix and conch pierced and both times were great experiences! The girls who do piercings are so friendly, and make sure you are comfortable through the process. They are very skilled and professional. I will be coming back to them for another piercing again soon! Highly recommend.

Very quick and clean shop for a walk-in nose piercing. Hollie was my piercer and she was great! I was undecided on jewelry and she walked me through the different metals and the price ranges. She showed me the full price of the piercing plus the jewelry I chose, tax, etc. before moving forward which I appreciated. I opted for a slightly more expensive stud but they had $0-15 options for jewelry. I’ll be back when it’s time for some new jewelry and if I for anymore piercings in the future!EDIT: I accidentally knocked my piercing out while I was washing my face. I went in first thing the next day and they helped me get the jewelry back in no problem! I was worried the hole had closed but, turns out I just needed an expert’s assistance. 10/10 on customer service again!

I got hip surgery and an employee was nice enough to get my peircing fitted in my car so I’d be more comfortable. Really nice staff!

I chose your studio based on the rave reviews, but the “experience” extends past the appointment itself.I would not feel comfortable returning.ETA: It has cost me twice as much money and over 5 months to fix the tattoo done at Clean Slate. Highly suggest going elsewhere for any tattoo services.

Took my 5 year old to get her ears pierced and I can’t say enough good things about our experience!! They ladies who pierced her ears were so kind, explained each step of the process and took all the fear out of it. Such a positive experience for my kiddo! Will definitely be coming back for my second kid!

It was amazing. The customer service was wonderful. The girl that did my navel piercing was so nice and friendly and made the experience 100 times better, I didn’t even notice when she was doing it because of how comfortable she made the experience. I got my helix pierced here a while ago. everyone was super nice and i hate to leave a bad review but it is by far the worst piercing ive gotten, i have 13. it’s insanely crooked and super far forward. i wouldn’t recommend getting a piercing here.

Artist didn’t really do a good job on my tattoo. I had gone 4 or 5 times trying to “fix” it and it never really got to where it needed to be. I found a new shop and my new artist said it looked like whoever did it “wasn’t confident in that style” and agreed it really needed a lot of help. Now I’m playing someone else to fix it. It’s only a half sleeve which is now going to run like 3k total. Won’t be back.

I have gotten multiple piercings from here and have never had any issues. I had issues with a piercing I got from another shop and they took the time to clean it and explain the issue and how to fix it when changing the jewelry. I even got 3 piercings in one session and the piercer was kind and made sure everything was perfect. They’re very knowledgeable and kind and it’s a great place to get high quality piercings.

Amazing place! They fit me into the schedule and we’re very organized and professional as well as friendly. I got my Marilyn Monroe re-pierced and she did a great job. The selection of jewelry was plentiful and unique. I will definitely love to go back for more piercings as well as tattoos.

I sent pictures of a few ideas by email, and Emelia combined the ideas into a beautiful hand drawn piece. It was the longest I have been tattooed before and I was a little nervous, but Emelia was fantastic. Patient, communicated well about the process, asked for my feedback during the whole process, and overall a wonderful person to talk to. I highly recommend her as an artist!

I love clean slate so much. I have gotten 12 piercings here and done many jewelry changes. If I get a tattoo in the future I know I’ll come here. My mom got one here and it is really pretty and detailed. The shop is comfortable and clean and everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. They have an amazing selection of jewelry. And bonus, sometimes there are 2 super cute dogs there. I recommend clean slate all the time, I’ve never had a bad experience there.

Been here a few times for both tattoos and piercings, they have many horrible piercing practices that lead to extreme healing times. The owner Van has made me incredibly uncomfortable as he stood over me while getting a couple tattoos and only said negative things about the art or just said nothing at all. They can’t seem to keep any employee from front desk or artist, I’ve seen at least 4 artists leave in the last year or so and countless front desk employees. They also don’t have a fire exit. They didn’t have an ac for a very long time and made the tattoo and piercing process hard to sit through and had to be miserable for the employees. The owner has also fully admitted in front of customers and me that he rushes through tattoos he doesn’t like and lets them turn out below his capabilities.

Went in because I had accidentally ripped out my top helix earring, lost it, and needed a new one. I walked in and everyone was so understanding, empathetic, and helpful. I was able to quickly pick out a new piece and they helped me place it as gently as they could as my ear was very irritated all for a very affordable price. Will definitely visit again.

I had the best experience here for my first tattoo. Ansley did such a wonderful job with rescheduling my appointment since I had issues with sports. She also just made me feel really relaxed and comfortable before and throughout the entire tattoo. I thought I’d need to force myself to listen to music for distraction but she was so sweet and just talked with me the entire time. All the workers there were also just so nice and it felt really welcoming! I highly recommend this place, definitely coming back.

I decided to book with Clean Slate after doing some review research for a septum piercing. I called the day of and was able to get an appointment for 2hrs later. Their shop is super clean, friendly, open. I was pierced by Nina who has such a contagious personality! Nina kindly walked me through step by step from the piercing to the type of jewelry to the aftercare. Took all of 2 seconds and a spicy lil pinch in the nose and it was over! I highly highly recommend this shop for piercings and to ask for Nina! I will certainly be back :)

My daughter, 9, had her ears pierced at this location by Hollie and an assistant whos name I apologize I cant remember! They were both absolutely amazing! They took the time to measure out where the piercing needed to be so it was perfect, checked it 3 times, and then explained to my daughter how everything was going to go! Ansley did my tattoo (that Ive been wanting to get for several months to a year), and it was totally worth the wait. I saw her portfolio on the website and Instagram and really liked her art style. Then, I called up the studio to book an appointment, and they were really helpful.I loved the experience I had with Ansley. She was very easy to talk to, and I liked how we saw eye to eye when it came to last-minute sizing and placement adjustments. I also love how she sees the beauty in black and grey tattoos. Unfortunately I wish I had a good experience. I got a Medusa here couple months ago and had to remove it a little after. My technician was disagreeing with me over piercing location placement; it was going to be off center of my face if I didnt fix it, as well as with my friend about a nose chain size. She asked for a bigger one but she insisted its the right size, but it ended up being too short, so she gave it away after wasting her money. I also asked specifically for an extra longer bar because Ive always had swelling issues, and she said no, and I later had to go get it switched out because my lip swelled completely around it. It doesnt help i live 30 minutes from anything and wasted a lot of gas money trying to fix my piercing. The piercing itself was crooked which is ultimately why I removed it because I already noticed tooth damage and it didnt look good. Because it was pierced incorrectly it also hurt so bad when it happened, I almost passed out which I have never come close to doing before. I honestly have never been talked down to so much about my opinions on my own jewelry before at a parlor. She was not accommodating to our wishes at all and we both left unsatisfied. I hope yall can figure out who this is and give some guidance so this doesnt happen again. Very disappointed.

Found myself here with my friend who was getting her daughters ears pierced. It was May the 4th so they had Star Wars flash sheets. I was not expecting to get a tattoo but Im a huge Star Wars nerd so I could not resist. I settled on one design but then saw a woman leaving with a different design. It looked so good I changed my mind. I ended up in Deriks chair. He was great! Light touch, super fast, and well executed. I would definitely consider him for custom work! The whole vibe of the shop was very positive. It was clean, efficient, and everyone was really nice!

I developed a metal allergy to my custom nose screw after 12 years. The owner was incredibly helpful, nice, and took the time to make sure I was happy with my new jewelry. I would definitely recommend!

The staff was polite and great taste in music. However, they have lost my business due to inexperience. I went in for a cover up and where I would expected them to take a stencil of what is currently on my body and draw over it to best cover the current art. The artist instead decided to do stencil after stencil after stencil of a simple X to cover it up. When placing the x, it sat further above, not covering the existing tattoo. The artist then offered to reschedule with a different artist at a later time instead of trying again. At this point I was okay with that as i could see this shop wasnt the place to get my work done. Its probably a great place to get your first, simple tattoo. I appreciate the artist and staff remaining polite and professional though I chose not to do business with them.

I called mins before asking if they accepted walk ins and they did for the piercing that I wanted. Dakota was extremely nice over the phone and in person. Holly was the one who pierced my nose. Very knowledgeable and respectful. I will definitely be coming back for future piercings. Also I was able to pick the style of nose stud as well as buying their aftercare product. In total it was almost 100 dollars including the tip and product.

A gift card was purchased from your tatoo studio. Gift card company isnt dealing with your studio any longer. Called your studio and you said your gift cards expire in a year. There is a law that prohibits expirations at least up to five years. What a rip off your studio is - you didnt even try to honor the card. Heres whats said about gift card expirations: The federal gift card laws require that gift cards cannot expire less than 5 years after activation. The gift card should display the expiration date, if any. When the gift card expires, the holder does have the right to request a replacement.

Delaney was awesome at helping us pick out jewelry and pierced both my nostrils and my friends double helix. We are both super happy with her professionalism, friendliness, and results. The receptionist was very kind and helpful as well. I will definitely come back for more piercings and jewelry next time Im in town!

Clean Slate is the ONLY place that I will get my tattoos and piercings. I have been coming to see Van since I was in my twenties and he has done 99% of the tattoos I have on my body. The art work he creates is beautiful! His wife typically performs all of my piercings and they both are absolutely wonderful to work with. I will not go anywhere else for these services. Clean Slate and the team that Van and his wife has built are fantastic and worth every dollar!!

Went back for more piercings and got a tatoo from Derick. His line work is unsurpassed. Nina is always so helpful and friendly:) Your looking is over, you found THE place for all your body art!!Jess was great! Her assistant has a little to learn when talking over pricing, so when we were done it was a bit of a shock, but I think shes training, so I get it. I plan on returning for more piercings soon! Highly recommend!!

Got a septum piercing today and had a great experience! Everyone in the shop was so friendly. Had different sizes of piercing jewelry to fit my small nose instead of having only one standard size like most shops so Im not stuck with giant jewelry until it heals. Piercing is perfect! Would definitely recommend going to this shop.

After 3 previous attempts at my belly button piercing, Jesica was able to do it right to where it wouldn’t reject. 8 months later it looks great and I can’t be more grateful 😭🫶

Tattoo:I got both of my tattoos done here by Kevin. They are amazing!!!!! 10/10! Perfect straight lines. Looks fantastic. And he was incredibly patient and kind with me the whole time! He was great with the many times he had to re-draw it for different sizes! He was the PERFECT artist!!!Piercings:I have gotten almost all of my servings done here. And each of the piercers have worked on my ears, Nina Hollie, Jessica, and Delaney. I have two curated ears, with 9 piercings on each side. They have done 12/18 of my ear piercings! And I wish I had known about the for the earlier ones!!!It barley hurts when they do it, and they are so careful to make sure it is in just the right spot!!!! They have helped design my ears so much its awesome. Incredibly kind people, who always remember me when I walk back in.My FAVORITE shop ever! I live in a different state now for school, but I still come back here to do any piercing/tattoos! I wouldnt go anywhere else!

It took over an hour to have one piercing jewelry changed. I purchased a conch earring that was too small and they didnt have any other sizes. When I asked for a refund on the jewelry, she told me she could only exchange since I put it in my ear (in the car at her directions). She said she could have given me a refund if she had put it in herself. This policy makes no sense given that it would have been in my ear either way, and I was given an incorrect size. Such a waste of time and money.Also worth mentioning that she suggested that I take a piece of jewelry that was 2 gauge sizes larger than my conch piercing and to put Vaseline on it to get it through... to suggest increasing gauge with a piece of jewelry that much larger in your CARTILAGE is irresponsible and just plain rude.ETA since this seems to be a recurring point made by the shop, their offer to put my conch jewelry in was verbatim do you need me to put it in for you, without mentioning the return policy by doing it by oneself. I also told the piercer that I was worried about it being too small, which was when she told me to try it in the car and to come back in if it didnt fit.

Our two daughters got their ears pierced. They’re both elementary aged. They pierced the ears at the same time. We loved our experience, so warm and inviting.

I took my 4.5 year old daughter here to get her ears pierced and they were amazing! Nina and Delaney were so good with her. They explained everything to her and pierced both ears at the same time, which took less than 5 seconds to do. She loves her earrings and we couldnt be more pleased with our experience! Everyone at the shop was so nice and amazing! Thank you!!!

Hollie did a fabulous job piercing my nose! The staff were all very kind and professional. The facility was clean, and the staff were very helpful in choosing the piece of jewelry and location. We got good instruction for aftercare and what to look out for, and there was never any pressure to buy the product they offered (but we did)!

This was the highlight of my week so far! Walked in for a piercing change after a quick google search lead me here and from the moment I walked in I felt comfortable and welcome! Everyone I interacted with was kind and very personable!! Tattoo/piercing shops can be intimidating at times and this place was anything but! Will be coming here for all my piercing needs moving forward!:) Shout out to Delaney for being the MVP!

I do not recommend this studio. I was coming here for a custom tattoo from a certain artist. The artist left Clean Slate and the studio would not give me my deposit back. I talked to 2 people on the phone regarding this, neither of which were helpful. The manager I talked to was not friendly and very pushy about the situation. I still have not received my money back.I have been here previously for a tattoo and they did not keep the original booking date. Had I not called about a different tattoo, I would not have known that they erased my appointment even though they had my deposit. They made this right by getting me in the day after I was originally supposed to get my tattoo but it was a very frustrating situation.Overall I have not had a good experience at this studio. They are in it for the money, not their clients.

I stopped in without an appointment to look into some new jewelry for my nose piercing. They happened to be very busy when I went in, and they let me know right up front that they had several appointments that day and only one piercer in the studio. I was welcome to wait, but the appointments were a priority (as it should be), so they could probably help me choose jewelry, but they couldnt guarantee the piercer would have the time to change it - or I could make an appointment for the following week.As luck would have it, the piercer had a few minutes, and the next appointment wasnt there yet, so she helped me choose some jewelry and offered to change it for me.Even when they were crazy busy, they still took a few minutes to help me out without an appointment.100% will return for future jewelry and potential ink.

A little pricey imo but from what I have been told thats good price for here, must Denver in general. We had such a great experience though. the owners and workers are fantastic. They are very nice and commutative, I love how they are with the kiddos, my daughter handled her ear piercing awesome. I couldnt have asked for a better experience for her.. Ill be back.

I’ve gone to a few different tattoo & piercing shops and Clean Slate is BY FAR the best experience I’ve ever had. I had my nose pierced elsewhere and the piercing constantly hung out of my nose and was super uncomfortable. I saw Jessica and Kali and they not only saved my piercing, but put in the hoop I’ve always wanted and made sure it was adjusted perfectly for my nose shape. Jessica was so knowledgeable and I instantly felt in good hands. Kali is so welcoming, friendly and was super gentle changing my jewelry which is so important with a sensitive piercing. 10/10 would recommend. I am definitely going back!

The whole staff there is great, first of all. This was my daughter’s second tattoo from here and Van, the owner, was the artist. Not only did he do a phenomenal job, but he was extremely patient and calm, as the tattoo was in a pretty sensitive area for my daughter. Also this is a very clean and inviting place as well. Thank you Van and Clean Slate for a great experience.

I cannot say enough positive things about this buainess! A cozy atmosphere, everyone is so nice! Great variety of jewelry and Nina is my girl! She did an amazing job on my first nostril piercing! I highly recommend this place! I love it!

Came in as support for a friend and the entire place was welcoming and clean. The owners and entire staff are friendly and competent (the perfect combination). It’s located off broadway but there’s plenty of parking around back. Inspired by the atmosphere I decided to get a tattoo as well. They managed to fit me in as a walk-in with the amazing artist Randi. So happy with my newest piece, looks exactly as I envisioned. She did a great job on my friend’s spine tattoo as well. Perfect placement, and took the time to fit the tattoo to my friends body. Care is extremely evident throughout the entire process. Would definitely recommend this place.

This place is great for both tattoo and piercings. The owner, Jessica, was so helpful with my girlfriend getting her piercings and making her feel more at ease about the whole situation. David our tattoo artist was great! He not only waited for us but did a great job walking us through and making us feel comfortable. Highly recommend!!

Highly recommend location and the people that work there. My daughters and I went to get nose piercings and Jesica went above and beyond to make everyone of us feel comfortable and love our experience. My daughter had her first tattoo and Ansley did an amazing job. We all left with smiles and a great experience. We will definitely come here again.

I very rarely write reviews, so when I do, its because it is so very well deserved. I brought my eleven year old son here to get his ear lobes pierced. Jessica, the owner, and a piecer was absolutely wonderful. She was professional, knowledgeable and used sterile technique (one of the most important pieces to me). She made my son feel at ease, explained everything she was doing and took more time than she needed to in order to engage with both him and me. We had this experience this morning, so time will tell on how the healing goes. However, should we have any issues at all, she encouraged us to call her directly, email her directly or come to see her. Her continued dedication to best practices was so incredibly appreciated and valued by me as a consumer. I would and will refer friends and family to her and Clean Slate Tattoo. In addition, the staff, from my initial phone call to our interactions with them while we waited was also quite lovely. They were polite, funny and real people. Hats off to Clean Slate Tattoo, Jessica and the staff.

I love this place. Since I have gotten some of my first few pericings here I will not go elsewhere. The staff are very welcoming and kind. So far I have gotten my nostril, industrial, conch, and mid helix peirced here. Always very informative and make the process quick, easy, and as painless as possible. Definitely looking to come back here for more peircings and tattoos!

Don’t trust. i got a belly piercing there like over a year ago. they pierced it crooked and i didn’t notice until i looked at old pictures and realized my piercing was always crooked. it’s been 5 months since i’ve taken the piercing out and it still hasn’t closed. it makes me feel sad and also, the jewelry fell out of the piercing after 3 months of having it in so i had to walk around with my piercing looking yellow because that’s what the inside looks like after the gem falls out.

There are a lot of great tattoo artists in the Denver area - Ive been to a lot of shops, both in and out of state. Clean Slate is, by far, the nicest studio Ive been to - on many levels. Its clean, all the artists are friendly and knowledgeable, the artwork is amazing, and the pricing is extremely competitive. Van and Jessica run an amazing place - Vans art is beyond impressive, and Jessica makes everyone feel welcome and at home. Josh, David, and Mark are insanely awesome - the level of talent in that one shop is indescribable. Each of the guys works hard to build trust with their clients. This is the only tattoo studio I will go to - anywhere else seems sub-par, almost flat now. Definitely not in the same class. I cant recommend Clean Slate Tattoo highly enough. I would encourage my friends and family to have work done there, as I dont think you will get the same high quality tattooing done anywhere else. I guarantee you wont find better prices. I used to think it didnt really matter where you got a tat done...now I know the difference between a run of the mill piece and one that comes to life and dazzles. I cant wait to go back for another!

My daughter had two appointments for a cartilage piercing done here. Actual piercing appointment was great. Second appointment to swap out stud for a hoop was not. We arrived 3 minutes after appointment time due to traffic and Jess was still working with another client, so we got checked in and sat down. The previous appointment came down a few minutes later, so I thought we would be called to go upstairs soon but we werent. After 25 more minutes passed, I asked the gal at the desk (who was not wearing a mask) if we were going to be seen soon. She went upstairs and talked to Jess and came back down. We were allowed to go up roughly five minutes later where we got lectured by Jess about how we were lucky she could squeeze us in because we were late and how valuable her time was. I apologized for being a few minutes late but pointed out that she was still working with another client at the time of our arrival. Jess continued to be rude. I believe our appointment was scheduled for something like 15-20 minutes. It took all of 5 minutes to do this, so even with us being 3 minutes late, she would have had plenty of time within our appointment window to do this. She also did not clean my daughters piercing, nor the new hoop when swapping them out, which I think should have been done for hygiene purposes. We will not be back or recommend.

I came here for my first tattoo and I will be coming back for the rest of mine! Ansley is so sweet, nice, and such an amazing artist! She was very supportive throughout my tattoo (such as telling me Im doing great and its coming along very well) and we bonded very well!! Very nice shop, homey feel, and the rest of the staff is very nice!

Took my 4 year old daughter to Clean Slate. Mind you she is very shy and will not talk to you if she doesnt know you. Jessica is super nice gentle handed and very professional. She talked with my daughter and provided her with comfort and companion talked her through the whole process and she was not scared at all. Both ears were done at the same time also. Van and Jessica both are awesome people have a great studio super clean very professional and also very comfortable. We will definitely be return customers and would recommend anyone of any age to get tattoos or piercings.

Took my 11 and 9 year old daughters for ear piercing. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Super clean. Piercings turn out great. Very happy with the results!

Always wickedly impressed by Clean Slate. Every one of my tattoos has been done by them and I will never go anywhere else. I’m so pleased with one artist in particular - Ansley Lackey. Ansley was extremely accommodating, changing a tattoo design of mine THREE times and RE DRAWING them. She had a smile on her face every time while reassuring me I’m allowed to be picky, because it’ll be on my body forever. I felt so comfortable in what seems to be a stressful and painful moment. She always allowed me to take breaks, chatting about friends we ended up having in common.She really took her time, making sure every line was 100% perfect. Ansley was very professional and friendly. Such a clean, friendly, safe and dependable tattoo and piercing shop.

Hollie did my nose piercing and it was amazing!! My anatomy was a little different than the norm and she was accommodating and super awesome! She made me feel so relaxed and safe. I definitely recommend getting pierced here!

I just got my tragus done by Jessica and Im very happy!! Not only is the shop environment super cozy, inviting and home like; he and her hubby are super genuine. Amazing. This place was fantastic. I went to get my first ever tattoo and I was extremely nervous , especially since I dont do too well with pain. My artist was Ansley and she was extremely kind, sociable, relatable, and really helped with making the tattoo less painful to go through. I originally wanted small tattoos, but she told me those would fade due to the design I chose, and so I had to get even bigger ones which was very intimidating. Ansley was patient, listened carefully, did a wonderful job with the design, and made the whole process a lot more calm and homey feeling. All the staff were friendly and cared about the life long decision you might be making. I love my two tattoos, and if I ever get another tattoo, I will for sure go there again and have Ansley as my artist.

Everyone was really nice, Nina did my piercing and helped me figure out where I was going wrong with a previous piercing I got elsewhere so. Will definitely be coming here again for my body mods 🥰🥰

Went today for the first time for a piercing. My appointment was at 4 but I waited about 50 minutes to get it. The lady who did it however was so kind and sweet! Did a great job and explained every question I had. Gave tips on after care etc. good environment but a bit bad at setting appointments for clients.
