Living Canvas Tattoo and Piercing

I brought my 5 and 8 year old daughters in to get their ears pierced after weeks of them begging, and Living Canvas was nothing short of AMAZING! First of all, everything about the shop felt so welcoming which was huge for us with a couple of nervous kids. Brock was so sweet and made my girls so comfortable and told them silly stories to ease their nerves. My 5 year old went first and he did an amazing job - no tears! My 8 year old was incredibly anxious beforehand and sobbing as soon as we walked in. Brock and Jonah were so wonderful and reassuring. They told her they wouldnt do anything to her body that she did not want them to do and that it was completely her choice. I appreciate this SO MUCH. She wanted it done so badly but I wanted her to know that she could change her mind at any time, and I love that they took care to respect her autonomy and make sure she knew she was in control. By the time she got into the chair she was no longer crying and was ready to go. Brock and Jonah did both her ears at the same time since she was SO nervous, and it went so smoothly! No tears from her either (I was shocked)! Both girls are thrilled with their piercings and we are so happy with the experience. I would recommend them again every time, hands down.

I had an amazing first tattoo experience with Sammi. I reached out to Living Canvas via web form. I heard back from them within 24 hours and had a consultation scheduled. During the consultation Sammi actively listened to everything I wanted. I showed her three different phoenix that had caught my eye. I asked her to create a fierce but feminine Phoenix. She did a phenomenal job. I couldnt have asked for a better first tattoo. During the tattoo she made me feel so at ease and kept my mind of the pain. I thought sitting for more than 5 hours would be unbearable but she kept the conversation flowing and it was over before I knew it. Absolute best first tattoo experience I could ask for! Jonah was exactly what my little sister needed for her first tattoo. He was calm, concise, he gave her a unicorn plush toy to squeeze? He reminded her to breathe? He walked her through everything a tattoo entails; I’m a vet of getting tattoos and he did such a great job of walking a newbie through the process that he honestly deserves some sort of medal. I freaking loved every minute of how he treated my baby sister: he was always kind and patient and caring and devoted more time than we actually paid for. Jonah is hands down the best artist I’ve dealt with. I’m so thankful that he gave us a spare afternoon of his time.

I brought my 6 month old daughter to this shop to get her ears pierced and we had such an incredibly positive experience. It was my first time ever in a tattoo parlor and they were so kind and informative. Brock was so good with my daughter and made me feel so comfortable. I felt the environment was clean and sterile, they answered all of my questions and concerns, educated me on why using a needle is better for piercings than a gun, and helped make sure I knew how to prevent any sort of infection. It’s been about a week and her ears have been healing beautifully. I would undoubtedly trust them again and would highly recommend!

Mason has been the best to work with on my tattoos. She is skilled with a vision and adds a touch of her own. She listens and collaborates on the end result of artistic beauty. She will remain my tattoo artist due to her fun personality, creativity, kindness, professionalism and final results.

Sammi is a amazing talented artist. My wife and I went on whim to get a couples tattoo together. When we walked through the door and where greeted by Sammi and staff we felt instantly comfortable. I recently worked with Sammi for my newest tattoo. She was wonderful to work with and I couldn’t be more please with the end result. Got a tattoo with Sammi today to match a mother/son tattoo my mom wanted to get. We scheduled the consultation fairly last minute, and Sammi was more than accommodating. We got everything talked through over the phone since my mom lives out of state, and set up our appointment to get it done. She was great with last minute adjustments, and made sure my mom was well aware of the process and what to expect since it was her first tattoo. Sammi is super friendly and easy to talk with, and she worked amazingly quickly with a great result. My mom and I are both extremely happy with the work she did. I will absolutely be seeing her again!

AMAZING!!I contacted the shop to get my first tattoo. Easy communication did a consult with Mason and scheduled tattoo. Mason did sooo good all the way around. She came up with exactly what I was looking for, I didnt feel rushed or didnt feel she was rushing and she was just easy to work with. I love my tattoo, pictures dont even do the work justice.

I had a great experience with Living Canvas! The shop is like a museum of curiosities, the staff is friendly, fun, and professional, and Graves did exceptional work integrating this explosion tattoo into an older piece I had. He has an incredibly light touch and even refreshed the lines at the top of the old piece to make it all flow together better! 10 out of 10!

Sammy is siiiiiiiiiiiiiiick. I walked in wanting tattoos on my hands and Sammy said hey maybe lets not do your hands yet nerd boy or something like that. Sammy took the time to understand what I actually wanted and worked with me to make it happen in a way that we were both excited about. She never made me feel bad for taking up too much of her time with my stupid questions or anything like that.The time Sammy took made the process feel very meaningful and intentional. Ive gotten a few tattoos now, but Sammy is the first artist Ive gotten more than one from and I plan on getting more from her :)

Jonah is a wonderful artist! He had done a tattoo previously for me last year, and last week I received my second tattoo from him. He met with me prior to making the appointment, and helped immensely adding is artistic talent and helping me to design a tattoo that was unique, feminine and just exactly what I wanted. I walked in one day for a random tattoo and I’ve been coming back for Grant ever since! Everyone is so fun to be around, and they’re all so supportive of each others work. Grant helps bring my non-artistic ideas to life, makes them feel more like art, and makes them look a million times better than I could ever imagine! Jonah has done great things since taking over the shop, and all the apprentices are so eager to learn. She takes the extra time and effort to help me with my design ideas and placement. Shes exactly the artist Ive needed to help my vision become a reality. I will recommend her endlessly to anyone and everyone that wants the highest quality work and also an artist that will work with her clients to help them see their body art vision come to life. The atmosphere at Living Canvas is very warm and inviting. Ive had some good conversations with the other artists there when Im getting work done. Overall, in my humble opinion, I dont think theres a better shop out there.

I came here to get a Celtic armband. Grant did an excellent job! He was very friendly and easy going. He took the time to line things up just right and did excellent work. I was so pleased that Im going back to see Grant to get more work done. As for Living Canvas in general, I really love the place. It has a great vibe and is supercool inside! I was in town, from out of state, for a family event and had a couple hours to kill. I found Living Canvas Tattoo Parlour online a few miles from where I was and decided Id check them out. I had been wanting a tattoo done for some time but I was a newbie at 48 years old. I went in and met with Grant and was out the door with my first ink within the hour . They were friendly and courteous. The shop was clean and welcoming. Definitely a positive experience for a first timer.

Mason is incredible! She has high attention to detail with her work and is extremely patient!!! This is a very clean and good vibe place.

Grant is the man! Had him do two different pieces and he had them done in no time. He put a bit of his own style into the art which was badass and left a fantastic end result! Couldn’t be happier!

Edit: it has been a couple years now and after some more experience with the shop, I would not reccomend. I called asking for a walk in the day of my original review, and she was very irritated over the phone and sounded annoyed that I was asking if there was availability. I brushed it off and went in and got my tattoo, which I still love and was done very well, so she is a great artist and tattooer. After getting this tattoo however, a couple months later I wanted to talk to her about planning another tattoo I had wanted for years. I made an appointment to have a consultation, went in and she wasnt even there. When she finally showed up, she had another couple waiting for her and completely ignored me. I jumped in real quick and asked if we could have our consultation appointment first as it wouldnt take as long as a tattoo. She was again very rude and dismissive, and acted just extremely annoyed with me. Rather than sitting down and having an actual consultation, she told me to tell her what I wanted just standing at the counter in front of 2 other complete strangers. I got maybe one sentence out, really didnt even get the chance to fully explain my idea and she cut me off and told me she was not the right artist for that and to find someone else. Im not sure if I did something to offend her at some point or if she just straight up didnt like me, but it was extremely unprofessional and rude from the moment i first talked to her on the phone. I did find another artist who did an amazing job on the tattoo, but unfortunately they moved out of state. Im now looking for an artist again and cant even consider the shop without remembering her attitude.Original: Sara was great, did exactly what I wanted and is an amazing artist!

Amazing work from all the artists. Did a sleeve on me and my husband. Awesome letter detail. All of their work is amazing! This was not completely finished. But it is now, and Jess went beyond both of our work with her. Shes also the owner, so she wont be moving all over like allot of artists do.

I had heard great things about graves, but tgey didnt even come close to describing the professionalism and skill Graves has to offer. He consistently asked me questions on what I wanted, kept me updated on what was going on, and was unbelievably professional! It was my first tattoo and I was incredibly nervous, but Graves did an amazing job!! If you are ever in the area, I would strongly recommend him and his work to anyone!!

Sara has done all of my tattoos and there hasnt been a single one that I dont absolutely love. She is very quick to work with you and get just the right idea for your art. She has an amazing eye for Colo and gets the blends of them just right.The shop is SO clean, everything is sterile but inviting. I have known Jessica since before she opened the shop, and she has done eight tattoos on me. I love her new shop, and her as an artist! Ive followed her wherever she has gone because of the fact she has the magic touch (you can barely feel her tattooing you, yet the tattoo comes out and sticks to the skin fabulously!), is fast but precise at what she does, and makes me feel comfortable and welcome in the parlor. Im excited to see how far she will take her own shop!And as for Isaiah, he is a fantastic asset to the shop, as well as another laid-back, artistic, and professional soul with a love for tattooing! Had an impulse to get a tattoo and conveniently walked in as Sara was finishing up another client. Had a great conversation and got a pair of lavender springs on my inner upper arm. She has a great eye for color and did it in around 30 minutes. She was friendly and a good conversationalist. Im super happy with the results and would definitely go back to her.

Wow what can I say! I have two tattoos and I got them both from here from Jessica. They were both 2 to 2 and a half hour tattoos and they came out so amazing! I couldnt be happier. The prices are very reasonable for the outstanding artwork that is done. She also uses vegan ink which is a big plus for me because I am an animal lover! I will definitely be going back!

Jonah did a freaking amazing job on my vintage sewing scissors tattoo! The line work is so intricate and detailed and the shading is masterful. I came in with an idea but not sure how it would fit together and Jonah was able to see my vision and create it for me. This is my 3rd tattoo by Jonah and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I was a walk in about a month ago and Jonah was there and able to do my tattoo... I couldnt be happier with the work he did for me! It was my first tattoo... How I wanted it made it to where it was upside down to him, but he still did amazingly... I love it because of what it means to me but anybody who sees it is amazed at the artwork and how straight the lines are... I personally would never go to anybody else. Thank you!

If I could give no stars i would . Artist was incredibly rude from the moment I came in (20 min early for my scheduled appt). Told me she didnt like doing finger tattoos (even though her fingers are tattooed). What she should have said was she didnt know how. She left me with a crooked, misspelled word on the inside of my ring finger. Her solution was for me to pick the scabs when its healing to make it look right . So disappointed in this experience .Would not recommend this shop.

I took work off to stand in the line in the snow for an hour to be turned away during the $30 tattoo day, after driving out an hour to come to this event! This place was so amazing. I have only been here for a year and had no idea where to go. The reviews were good, so I gave it a try. The parlor is clean and neat. Sara was absolutely amazing in helping me figure out exactly what I wanted. This is a big decision, and I am so glad I went here!

Took my brother for his first tattoo, it turned out pretty good but I felt like the artist didnt engage with him very much.

So I had a black and white tat done and Im supper happy with it the artist was super awesome and skilled!
