Hill City Tattoo

Just booked my 7th appointment with Hill City, I have personally had work done by Dean and Will. Would 100 % recommend this shop and these artists to everyone !!!! Dean even fixed someone else’s mistake and still nailed what I wanted. One of the best shops ever 🥰

Worst tattoo artist ever. He couldn’t draw a circle if his life depended on it. He claimed he had done our design multiple times but mine is lopsided and faded and my daughter’s is not filled in properly. He argued with the tattoo placement and now I see that his recommendation was the worst possible location due to the skin being fragile. Do not go here under any circumstances. Zero stars.

Shout out to Will, for once again giving me a top tier piece. ❤️ Im a hardcore reader and wanted a tattoo to show my love for that, and he did not disappoint.

Dean did an amazing job on my sunflower tattoo.... the other artist at the shop are super friendly.... I highly recommend Hill City Tattoo

Lauren Bird has been tattooing me over the past 10 yrs, completing one sleeve, starting on the other. She is light handed, fast, and precise, making her an awesome artist!! The entire staff at Hill City are friendly and helpful!! Love these guys!! Would not go anywhere else!!

Dean does fantastic work! I got some tattoos from him and his line work is great. My wife got her first tattoo from him and its literally one of the best tattoos Ive ever seen; it looks like it was machine printed and Im not just saying that because its my wife. His rate isnt bad and he works quickly so you can get a lot of work done for a good price. I definitely want to use him again. All this isnt to say anything bad about the other artists here, saw a super nice piece Will was working on, but Dean was recommended because of what my wife and I wanted and we were very happy with his work.

I’ve been getting tattooed by Lauren and Will for 8 years now. Super clean line work, not heavy handed, and work fast.Lauren has been working on a cover up on my chest and makes some of the most uncomfortable spots feel not as painful.Will has an awesome style and great creative mind, I’ve given him small ideas and he knocks it out of the park every time.Only shop I let touch me with a needle. Great atmosphere, always have a great experience each time I am in the chair.

My boyfriend and I have been going to Lauren for years. She has done a dozen tattoos for both of us. Her prices are fair and work is always on point. Were never disappointed with the final outcome. Always enjoy a good laugh and conversation while getting tattooed. Highly recommend Hill City Tattoo and Lauren as your artist!

My tattoo artist made some quick reservations and got me and 2 other family members in for a quick tattoo. She did great and was soft and fast. Great results. Highly recommend and thank you for making time for us.

We called several days ago to ask about scheduling an appointment, were told we could just walk in. We explained the tattoo we wanted and were told to come in. Got into shop and the guy behind the counter told me I would need an appointment and when I explained that I had called and was not told that he was very short and very rude. Im appalled at this shops lack of customer service or basic manners. I was already worried about the quality of their work and their attitudes just confirmed that Hill City tattoo would definitely not be getting my money. Hopefully somebody teaches these men basic manners and decency. If I could leave zero stars I would, and I will absolutely be sharing my experience across all social media accounts and with every person I know. ♥

Great shop! Got my first tattoo here and never once felt nervous. The atmosphere is open and relaxing. Everything was clean and organized. Will Hunter did my tattoo. He did a fantastic job. Hes a cool guy. Only thing that I could complain about was the price: $120 for a tattoo that was from a pre-made font and didnt even take 30 min seems like a bit much, but oh well. I am pleased and definitely recommend this artist. Planning to return for some piercings and possibly more tats.

Will was wonderful! I am so happy with my tattoo. The aftercare instructions were easy to understand and follow. Three month later, it looks even better than the day that it was done. Thank you, Will!

I recently got a tattoo done by Lauren- she was extremely helpful, friendly, and professional throughout. I cant recommend her and everyone there enough, and I will definitely be going back to Lauren for anything else I need done. The best & my favorite tattoo studio in Lynchburg!

Laura is absolutely amazing. She very fast and efficient. Her work always comes out amazing. She does all my tattoos and would highly recommend her to anyone. She is the best around.

Will is the best! You wont find a more chill artist with such skill anywhere else. Ive literally gotten tattoos in Israel, Spain, and Ukraine. All around the world, and I will always come back to see will.

Stopped in to get a quote for a tattoo and possible schedule to have one done. I stopped here because of their high reviews. I stood there 15 minutes with no one around. I heard someone in the back but they never came out. A guy finally came in from outside looked at me and went over to a section for employees and sat down. Lost 2 potential clients today
