Genuinely the best piercing place in lynchburg. not only has my piercer been so kind the 2 times i went in to get pierced, but he’s funny and really knows what he’s doing. amazing service, great prices, and the shop is super clean ! super pleased everytime i stop in :)

They aren’t professional. To many opinions given even after you already said yes to it. Also they are very overpriced. When they were at the old shop, they were much better. I’ve gotten my first tattoo here but now since they have moved it’s changed. I’d suggest kiss of ink or lucky penny tattoo

Great place! Drove from Roanoke to get my septum and nostril pierced after hearing good things and I will definitely return for more piercings in the future! The staff are very sanitary and highly skilled in their work not to mention the price is extremely reasonable for the high quality work! I’m not sure of his name but the piercer with the dark curly hair is awesome. Very friendly and knows what he’s doing. My piercings came out perfect, not crooked and the septum hangs just right. If you are looking for piercings or tattoos I highly recommend this place!

A week ago i got dahlias with two friends. one friend got his bridge from the same piercer and another back dermals from another piercer. the back dermals r amazing and are perfect. my dahlias were pierced with too short of jewelry and is uneven as my friends bridge was pierced with a curved bar and is slightly uneven as well. my jewelry sunk into my cheek and when i went to push it out the ball fell off. leading me to stretch to a 14g with spare tongue rings to save the piercing. we both had to buy new jewelry and switch out ourselves. love this shop just will probably go somewhere else though next time to ensure proper jewelry is used. posting photos of my piercing day of and after it sunk had had to be changed. along with the jewelry used in both of our piercings (mine comparing what i replaced it with to heal properly)

Mark is the absolute biggest sweetheart and has done so many of my piercings perfectly every time; and changes out my jewelry for me every few months! I seriously can’t recommend him enough. He has the most calming presence, answers every question with such patience, and never shames you for anything. The prices are also an incredible deal. Just make this your piercing place 💕

Spontaneously got my nose pierced Feb 2022, then spontaneously added both my 3rd holes & two cartilage piercings in Nov 2022. Went to Kiss of Ink for all 5 of em. Always loved the fun, laid back environment from the staff. They are super easy to go to with any inquiries, & have the best prices in town. Would trust them to do any future work I may get as well.

I got my middle cartilage pierced, all I can say is awful. Got it done on a tuesday, the following sunday my cartilage had swollen over the jewlery. Went to the doctor and infection was confirmed. The piercer was very unprofessional, and there’s no wonder I got an infection (he was hitting his vape right before he pierced me). Now on a prescription for 10 days and shots until swelling goes down. Constant throbbing and a fever on and off.

Any experience Ive had here has always been great. Aclean environment with knowledgeable staff that really seems to care and take their time to do whats right. I have nothing but positive opinions about this shop.

Went in on an impulsive thought to get my ears pierced and it was best/fastest experience ever. The prices are way better than those in the area. I was in and out within 10 minutes and the staff was great. Would definitely come back, if I ever decide to get more!

They have a great, cheap, $25 deal on nose piercings - getting your nose pierced and stud piercing all included in the price!! I got my nose pierced 3 days ago, and have had absolutely no issues with my piercing. Staff is also very friendly and professional. I had to have my piercings removed for surgery and they did so without hesitation or charging me. I went back to have them put back in and have a piercing re-done. Service was fast and friendly. Cost is reasonable. Love these guys!

I have terrible fear of needles but I went for my septum. I started getting nervous and told them dont tell me when you do it. they were very patient with me until I calmed down enough. When I almost passed out one of the staff got me a soda.they are very patient and did their job well. Good price as well definitely recommend!

The absolute BEST tattoo artist Ive ever been to! Joe is very talented, professional, and CLEAN. The prices cant be beat! Now I see why there was so many people waiting! Im already thinking about what I can get for my next tattoo. Its first come, first served so go early or expect to wait. But trust me when I say that the wait is definitely worth it. You will not be disappointed.

I went with my 2 daughters and we all got piercings. My youngest and myself both got our helix pierced. I also got my nose pierced. My older daughter got her medusa. I had surgery 3 weeks later and had to put in a retainer. Well, the nose retainer was smaller than the jewelry and I had a hard time replacing it. I went back and they were great about helping me out the jewelry back in. I highly recommend them!

My first time and yes I waited in line. There is a process. I understand why people wait hours in line because it is well worth the wait. Friendly atmosphere. Every artist takes the time to understand what type of tattoo you want. The size, location, colors etc... When you are getting your tattoo other staff check to make sure you are doing ok.

These people were awesome! Came in for a new septum jewelry and left with a new conch. Overall great energy— I was constantly laughing and smiling throughout the whole process. Definitely going here for more piercings in the future

My husband and I got tatts here a few years ago for my birthday and had a great experience, so I went back to get another one and had a totally different experience. I stood around for about 5 minutes before anyone addressed me. I finally got to speak to someone, told them what I wanted, and they went to a big guy in the back to get him to do it. He was very unpleasant and then didnt even spell the word correctly.*Update*I have been back since the last review as they have made a lot of changes. I have had three dermals, two nose, one vertical labret piercings and my daughter got her ear pierced. Every single time I have received great service. I even went in four times in the same week for different things and every time the service was consistent. The people from the previous review aren’t even there any more.

Place is very different from my last visit a few years ago. All 3 people working were very friendly unlike other places I’ve visited. I found Joe on Facebook the day before going and after looking at his work there was no doubt that I wanted him to do my next piece. His personality matched his work as well. I usually don’t go out of my way to do positive reviews often.You will want to get there early to get a time for the day of to be tattooed (don’t try and get a tattoo if you don’t have a free day, that’s why there’s negative reviews on here because people don’t understand). I arrived around 11:15am and was the 8th person in line. The First Lady there said she arrived at 7:30am, People literally camp out like Best Buy on Black Friday.I will go back for more work from Joe.

We took our daughter in for her 18th birthday . She was so nervous , but she wanted this. Pauline was amazing with calming her down, and in the end , her tattoo looked amazing . They are very clean , sanitary , and patient. Definitely recommending this place to anyone who wants a tattoo or needs a touch up. I went in with both of my daughters for the Friday the 13th sale! $13 piercings. I got my nose and my helix. One of my daughters got her helix and the other got a Medusa. The piercer was great. The staff was very friendly.

My mom and I just got our Dairths done at Kiss of ink.Ive had multiple piercings before and my mom had one dairth from another store.We where both surprised at the experience. It was absolutely wonderful. As a seasoned pin cushion, this has been the best experience Ive ever had. Very gentle and very quick. Extremely clean as well. Each Dairth was 25$ including jewelry, so very under prices for the quality.Thank Kiss of Ink!!!

I got my first tattoo there earlier this week and it was an incredible experience! I was a little nervous going in but right from the begging everyone was friendly and made you feel more at ease. My tattoo artist was super cool and helped me feel good before starting my first tattoo. And the tattoo turned out awesome! I had a really great experience at Kiss of Ink. 😊

I felt very comfortable as soon as I walked in Kiss of Ink Tattoo on Waterlick Road. I went in here to get my first tattoo. They were very friendly and very accurate on the estimated time of wait. I would definitely recommend them in the future and would definitely revisit if and when I decide on tattoo number two.

Went in for my first tattoo & had a great experience! Pauline is amazing! The tattoo is exactly what I wanted, better than I imagined. The line work is crisp & straight the colors are beautiful. Pauline is friendly, helpful, & a blast to talk to. I will recommend her to EVERYBODY!!!

Maybe would be okay, the art looked good but pretty unprofessional employees. The guy at the counter didn’t look up from whatever he was doing on his computer the entire time I was in the store trying to get questioned answered. I asked about appointments but was told to show up 2-4 hours before THE STORE OPENED to wait in line and maybe, hopefully get an appointment. If you don’t work a normal job then this shop is for you, but if you have a day job, school, or kids you’re better off going to a normal shop.

Seems like a great place. Stopped in to fix my jewelry and the line for tattoos was anything Ive seen for a shop. So this must be a great place for tattoos. Gonna have to come back and check that.

Walked in knew what I wanted. Great customer service. Professional. Clints the guy who done my tattoo. He was clean, detailed, and very good at what he does. Fast and efficient. Very warm personality he has. Seems like a guy who takes great pride in his work. He makes sure you are taken care of from beginning to end. Highly recommend!

These people are amazing individuals with EXTREME talent! I’ve come with so many friends to get both piercings and tattoos and it’s always a great experience. I highly recommend them to almost every person I meet, if tattoos are brought up, or if they’re not. They’re just great. 👍🏽

They will not take any appointments at all even with a deposit. Even if you call to see how busy they are they wont tell you anything even if they are too busy to take more tattoos for the day they let you waste your gas driving to their store because they wont say it out right over the phone.They just said good luck on guessing the right time to come in they do not care if someome is trying to go out of their way to get a tattoo from them. It is a wonder that they have stayed in business with how rude they are to customers, new or repetitive customers.

Pauline is absolutely amazing! She has done three of my tattoos and they are all beautiful! She is the only artist I will go to in Lynchburg! She is also reasonably priced and you have a great convo with her during tats :) I would recommend her over and over again!

The artist was incredible. She was open to explaining everything to me, patient with me, sensitive to any discomfort, and very very very clean and sanitary! All single-use needle-cartridges, they open it in front of you, and you watch them set up and sanitize the station before you begin! And the artwork she did for me (a quill pen running from my chest to bicep) is gorgeous! Tons of compliments. Her rates are by far some of the best in the area, to build costumer trust, and I would absolutely recommend Kiss of Ink Lynchburg to anyone interested. I will be going back!

I went to get my middle cartilage pierced and i had so many issues. he did not wash the jewelry beforehand and gave me jewelry that did not allow room for swelling at all. my ear got so infected that my piercing got swollen over. after that i got my jewelry switched on the other ear and he was so rough and caused me to bleed a ton. then that piercing got extremely infected and my ear swelled over the jewelry. do not go.

I have three piercings by Mark and my daughter has one piercing by him also. He is very professional! I’ve stopped in on one occasion for advise and he took the time to answer my question with out hesitation. I will continue to refer my friends/family to Mark and see him for all my personal piercing needs.

I honestly wish I wouldve gotten ALL of my tattoos here. Went today to get one and it looks so good! The price was absolutely amazing. Lets just say.. I have been a loyal customer to Caspian Tattoo.. but their prices are ridiculously crazy. Like they cant even compare. At Caspian, a small tattoo will cost like $80-90. Here, it starts at 45. Mine was only 60 which wouldve been like 80 at Caspian. I got a smaller one done at Caspian than the one I got today at Kiss of Ink, and it was 80 at Caspian. The $60 one i got here today is waaaay bigger than the one i got at Caspian. So Im pretty sure you can see which is better now. Yes i like Caspian Tattoo but i wish they would have reasonable prices like here. I will definitely be coming here from now on 😊😊 you should too!

Got 4 ear piercings, 2 backings intersected each other causing consistent pain in that ear for 2 weeks before having to remove them, and another on other side pierced in a really bad spot which was inflamed nonstop until a week after removal

The piercer was amazing! He was very patient with my cousin and I, not to mention very fast and friendly! The prices absolutely cannot be beat, especially for the quality and care you receive!!

I absolutely adore this shop, and have been here multiple times with both Joseph and Pauline performing my art. All employees are fantastic at their jobs, and I would highly recommend this shop to anyone wanting a tattoo or piercing.

First, gotta say we have been pleased with Kiss of Ink previously, (multiple tattoos and piercings)Pauline does awesome work and we came back as return customers for this very reason.However today was the third trip to get a tattoo. According to Google the shop opens at 12:00, we were there by 11:45, we told there was a 5-6 hour wait for Pauline. We were also told we could not leave but had to sit and wait for 5-6 hours because we dont hold spots. This is not the way to treat new or returning customers. Might I suggest appointments with a non refundable deposit for cancellations. Pauline is a local rising artist and the demand will continue to grow and its a shame that a customer is expected to wait for in the shop for a RIDICULOUS amount of time. Appointments could streamline the process for BOTH the artists and customers.

Pauline and crew are awesome. She took her time and meet all the expectations and more of both my head tattoos. The results were fantastic.

Very poor business etiquette they would not redeem a gift card from their previous studio while their post when closing the studio did not mention any information regarding not being able to use gift cards at other locations.Their professionalism is joke, they had no answers to our questions. Told us to submit questions via email and never responded back to emails. They make up the rules as they wish. I do not recommend going to Joe Matista.

Obviously walk-ins are first come, first serve. We understood that. We walked in, were told that 4 people were in front of us, and that it would be a one hour wait. We sat and waited for two hours before finally asking how much longer. He proceeded to say that he doesnt think he would have time to do all three of us. What about one? He said no probably not. He wasted our time and didnt have the decency to inform us earlier that he couldnt do the tattoos. Terrible service and will never go back nor recommend this shop to anyone.

The best place to get tatted. I highly recommend this place to everyone and they just kill every piece they do. I’ve gotten most of my tattoos from here and they are just incredible ! If your on the fence about where to go to get some ink you should definitely go here. I’m so excited to get more soon!

I was looking for a place, that was close to home, and had great reviews. From the reviews, I decided to try it out, and I am glad I did. Lauren did a great jobs. My tattoo is exactly what I wanted, and at a reasonable price, and it was done quickly. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Just went and got my BB-8 tattoo there. The price was perfect, and the staff was very kind and wonderful to me, the entire time I was spazing and twitching. Wont schedule appointments. You get there super early to schedule a spot thats good only for that day and if she runs long, you get cancelled on. So since I work during the day and took a day off. . . Im out of luck. Right.

I usually give good reviews to places but the piercing I got from here has made it very difficult to. I got my second forward facing Helix done at Kiss of Ink tattoo on my lunch break. The gentleman was very nice but the experience and aftermath was not.When getting my piercing he stating that it got stuck on my cartilage. I have had multiple piercings and nothing like that has ever happened. I tried to be understanding but it took a full, very painful, minute for minute for him to get it actually unstuck and to get the jewelry in. After the piercing was done he had to give me a new facemask because I had BLED all over the one that I was wearing. I have gotten this exact same piercing before and there minimal blood and it took half the amount of time.I thought it was just a bad experience but it turns out he did the same thing to my friend when getting a nose piercing by him. And it has been six months and it is highly irritated, infected, and swollen. (Yes Ive been taking care of it and doing all the suggested things because I have a multitude of piercings.) Ive never had such a poor piercing experience and on top of that its now starting to bump even though when I specifically asked him if the getting stuck would cause it to bump, he said no.Also, he pierced with a 16 when an upper cartilage should be pierced with an 18, so this caused for more swelling. And the piece of jewelry he put in was way too long for a forward helix which also caused irritation. So I swapped it out for a smaller gauged hoop after six months to help get the built up puss out and to clean it easier.Ive heard nothing but good things about the tattoos. But please, do not get piercings there.

Look through the artwork thats available on the counter didnt like what I saw I recognize his style of tattooing theres different styles of tattoos and this is an ancient art form theres all kinds of art forms involving years and genres but I didnt see was clean clear lines in the artwork including the color work

Mark did my septum and it was practically painless. 25 bucks, versus an outrageous 60 from Caspian or Billy Powells.

The best place to go and get tattooed or pierced. I keep.going back here and so far have gotten all 5 tattoos here and all 5 piercings with plans to go get my industrial pierced soon.

I got a monroe piercing here almost two weeks ago and had a nice experience and I loved how my piercing turned out!
