Spike-O-Matic Tattoo

I have nothing but good things to say about this shop and Spike. He is a true artist and is dedicated to his craft. His work is detailed and he is well educated on tattoo design and techniques. He takes his time with each piece and puts his all into his work. Not only is he a true artist, he is also respectful, on time, returns messages promptly and communicates regularly. I highly recommend him. He is currently working on a forearm piece. Once it is complete and healed I will post pictures.

I have several tattoos from many different studios. Just never found the right fit. So I thought I would give spike-o-matic a try. I will say that this is the only place I will ever go. Salt rock is totally amazing, not only as an artist but as a person too. He talks to you unlike so many of the others I have been to. The prices are great, very reasonable. Very clean. It is obvious that the staff really cares about the appearance. If you need a studio to go dont look any further, this is it

I got a piece done by Alyssa, and I was very pleased with the entire experience. Working with her was actually super easy and I get so many compliments on what she did! Working with Alyssa was super fun because shes very creative but also very good at hearing out what I wanted. She was able to take my idea and make it even better with her own talent...I couldnt be happier! I definitely plan on going back to get more work done.

I do not recommend Spike O Matic. I had a consult with one of the artists in December, and we scheduled for March. I was happy to wait because of the artist. The day of the appointment came and I never once heard back from the artist. She went completely dark on me. I had emailed her several times prior to the tattoo date and never once got a response. Extremely disappointing and rude in my opinion.

Spike is a amazingly talented artist! His shop is clean, professional and inviting his ability to take an idea and turn it to reality is outstanding!!!! And knowing no one will have the same ink as me has inspired me to go back again and again !!! p.s. Super Cool Dude to I enjoy every painful minute I spend with him 😊

Hands down the best experience Ive had getting a tattoo. Spike himself did like, and he was very kind, helpful, and he is one hell of an amazing artist! I will be back, and will recommend him over and over to everyone I can!

Had a great experience at Spike-O-Matic Tattoo! I got a tattoo with my best friend after locating a local artist we found on Instagram (@quagswag). Alyssa made it an easy and painless experience, which was great for my friend since it was her first tattoo and she was a bit nervous. Loved all her tattoos and other artwork in her space, real creative with natural talent and an organic style. She was easy to talk to but didnt talk your ear off the way some artists like to do. Its always great to see talented tattoo artists not doused in ink too. Will return soon and recommend this place and artist to my friends.

I just got my tattoo done by Travis. It was my first one and it was a great experience. He is very easy going and I not once felt uncomfortable. He was very knowledgeable and did a great job. I was recommended to Spike-o-Matic and I would recommend it to anyone.

Ive been in and out of a few different shops in the Madison area and really like the atmosphere and service at Spike. Im currently working on a half sleeve with Travis and he is an incredible artist. Highly recommended!

My brother passed away and I wanted to get a tattoo similar to one he had. I had something pretty set in my mind and a couple recommendations of a good establishment so I hit up Spike-o-matics on a whim. Jason was my tatto artist and I cannot speak highly enough. He listened to my ideas and then we discussed them at length. He presented concerns that I hadnt considered and professionally guided me toward a design that would hold up well over the years. Since I wanted a memorial tattoo on my inner forearm and I had no other visible tattoos, Jason questioned me thoroughly to make sure I truly understood the finality of my choice. He shared his own experience with memorial tattoos and gave me every opportunity to rethink my decision. I really respected his professionalism throughout the entire process. And the end result was a tattoo that is very little like my original idea and everything I actually wanted. All thanks to a very talented, well-educated artist. Thanks Jason!!!

I thought I knew what I wanted going in. Salt Rock gave me some advice and the results were far better than I had imagined. They are willing to do exactly what you come it have done or work with your designs and put their flair that makes them stand out. Excellent place to get a tattoo.

Ive gotten five tattoos from The Steve Zero in the last few months. I highly recommend anyone him to anyone looking for a great tattoo artist. He does fabulous work.

Went there for a consultation for my first tattoo. I cant tell of all the artists, but the one who helped me was a serious tattoo snob. It was a ridiculous experience that I hope never to have ever again.

I got a very bad tattoo there. Not attractive and some of the color is gone on the center of one after 6 months. Wish I had not gotten it.
