My 18- year old and I came to Abbi for matching tattoos in April and LOVE them. It was the first for both of us and Abbi made us feel so comfortable. Her art is stunning and they healed perfectly. It’s exactly what we wanted. So I knew my 22-year old would be in good hands yesterday. Sure enough, another gorgeous piece! I’ll never go to another artist! Thank you so much.

The staff is amazing and super friendly. My artist, Jamie, is fun and really, really good at inking. His work is exactly what I wanted. He just grabbed a sharpie and drew the tattoo design freehand. Hes so talented!

Recently scheduled an appointment for my partner and I to get our lobes pierced at the Matthews location. Evan was so friendly and welcoming, and the process was really easy. Our piercings have been practically painless, so I couldnt ask for a better experience. We will definitely be going back in the future!

Me and my older sister came here a while ago to get piercings, today it’s been atleast 3 months since we went and let me tell you my nose piercing has healed so GOOD! I forgot who pierced me but he was a short guy with hella tats he was so sweet and gentle he talked me through it and the piercing was in my nose the moment we stopped talking!! didn’t feel a THING!!!! Pls tell me his name he’s in the picture but you can’t see him im sure he’d remember but the people here is so amazing and I am coming back Friday for my 2nd nose piercing😛

I did a tattoo with Abbi and she did absolutely amazing. Her line work is phenomenal and super clean. She helped me with my design (a line drawing of an acoustic guitar with initials in it) and made sure it was exactly how I wanted. She was super sweet and we had a nice conversation while she was tattooing. Highly recommend this tattoo shop and especially Abbi if you’re looking for intricate line tattoos!

I’ve had the pleasure of being pierced by Evan and tattooed by Mike, Jamie, and more recently Abbi. The whole shop is incredible. Each artist takes pride in their craft and it shows in their work. Abbi was so kind, talented, caring, and gentle. I seriously love this shop so much, guys. I refuse to go anywhere else—they’re stuck with me! Definitely a shop worth visiting.

Love the shop. I’ve gotten a few piercings done by Evan, which were all well done. The manager Bre is kind and professional. The shop is always clean, the artists are nice people, and I enjoy the overall vibe of the shop. Haven’t gotten a tattoo by any of the artists but I do like the work I’ve seen on others.

I got tattooed my Thomas today, it was a pretty small and simple design but he was amazing! He didn’t make it feel as though I was wasting his time with this simple one, he made sure to get every detail to perfection, comforted me, and talked me through the whole thing. I highly recommend him and when i’m ready for another I definitely will be heading his way!!

I have never felt so confident and welcomed in studio as I do at Divine Arts. Jamie did my ted lasso piece last yr or so- its a beautiful watercolor goldfish. I love divine arts! i got my second ear piercing and navel here and it was so cool! my piercer was evan and i highly recommend them, they made sure i was comfortable and made the piercing such a cool experience! i will definitely be back for more piercings in the future 😊

Ive have a couple of tattoos and was ready for another. While the guy that did my last one did a good job, I never felt fully comfortable with him. I had a design idea in my head and after talking it out with the artist for about five minutes he said okay, lets go do this. I guess he was going to freestyle it but i pressed pause and he drew it out, etc., etc. and everything was fine. My experience with Divine Arts Tattoo Company was the exact opposite of my experience with the other company.I chose Divine Arts mainly because of the reviews. Their is no shortage of tattoo shops in the Charlotte area but unless you know someone then its hard to know where to go or who to trust. And even if you know someone there is no guarantee that the artist will be in the same local shop or hasnt moved to another city. Regardless, the reviews were spot on and helpful.After I landed on Divine Arts as a finalist I submitted an online application with intimate details of my design, placement, etc. I never heard back after a couple of days so I decided to stop by since I was in the area. The lady at the front desk was really nice and helpful. She introduced me to Thomas who was in the middle of a tattoo. We had a short chat about what, where, when, etc. and I made an appointment for a design session. Thomas is booked weeks, if not more than a month out, so turnaround time is not the fastest.During the design session Thomas took his time and we discussed alot of options and variations to my ideas. In some areas he wasnt able to offer much help from a content perspective because he wasnt familiar with the subject however, he continued to insert his advice on how the design would look given the content I was exploring. His advice helped craft a result I was really happy with. Next we booked the tattoo session, paid my deposit and got ready for some ink.The tattoo session was as good as it gets. Even though I have tattoos Thomas was very thorough and communicative. The place was really clean and I had zero sanitation concerns. During my sessions I got to hear the staff interact with a wide variety of customers and they did an amazing job. There were even several kids coming in to get their ears pierced and the staff was super cool with them.The only two areas that were a sore spot for me was the online application and punctuality. The online application seemed to be lost or just not followed up with. I noticed other reviewers mentioning a similar experience to mine. Secondly, punctuality does not seem to be existent especially, if you are the first appointment of the day. I was kept waiting for a while and I heard many, many others with the same complaint. These would not keep me from returning but just expect it.

I had my first tattoo 15 years ago and have wanted another for several years BUT the first one hurt so bad I have been hesitant. This time I did my research and asked around and made an informed decision and chose Divine Arts, Jamie was amazing. I got the tattoo I dreamed of and he even said they could do some work to my previous tattoo and make it look better. I had the best experience ever and would recommend them to anyone who is interested in a tattoo.

First off, the staff here run by Jordan are amazing. They are involved, attentive, and funny to have conversations with. They are all subject matter experts in their craft, and have many years of experience. Jordan did a two session tattoo for me that was dedicated to my mother who passed away in 2017 of pancreatic cancer. He quickly and willing accepted to do the tattoo for me, and I couldnt be any happier. The detail and passion involved in this tattoo really sets him and his shop apart from anyone else. If you are considering a tattoo, and live anywhere near Matthews, this has to be the place for you. My wife has gotten her tattoo from Jordan as well, and we have other friends looking to do the same. Book now, as Jordan stays busy. Charlie and Ryan do amazing work as well, so dont leave those guys out. Overall great place to do business!

All of the artists are super nice and I’ve known Jordan for a long time he is the owner and he is amazing! I just got my second tattoo the day after my 18th birthday and it was a big one. He made me feel super comfortable and was really considerate about the pain and making sure I was okay!! It looks amazing and they all do amazing work!

Best tattoo experience ever! It actually felt more like hanging out with old friends than being a first time customer at the shop. Abby and Evan at the front desk were friendly and responded promptly to e-mails. Mike did an AMAZING job on my Japanese tattoo. He repositioned the stencil multiple times and used the artwork as a guide to ensure the proper balance and white space between the characters. His attention to detail really showed with the perfect thickness of the lines making the tattoo pop. And, I got to know Ryan (artist) who is extremely interesting and enjoyable to talk to. I’ve never met more authentic, friendly, and passionate people. Wouldn’t go anywhere else…

My artist here is Michael Trimboli and he’s a great artist. Finished my sleeve on my left arm and now starting on the right arm. Come here for your next ink therapy session! Entire staff is awesome here. Highly recommend for tattoos or piercings!

Very nice people! I had issues with a piercing from a different place I originally was pierced at and Evan solved the problem for me. He was a pleasure to meet and I appreciate how open he was to answering my questions. If I could do it all over, Id go here first instead of where I went.

I was apprehensive trying to find a good tattoo parlor in Charlotte. My first one was done or of state. After reading countless reviews and looking at artists on Instagram, I narrowed it down to Divine Arts. I lucked out big time because Divine Arts Tattoo is a GREAT tattoo parlor! The shop was very clean, and you can see how each artists booth was well kept. The front desk staff listened to what I was looking for and suggested Thomas. This was the right fit because of what I wanted done. He was professional and helped me think through placement and the size of the design. When I scheduled, the process was well explained and seamless. On the day of my tattoo, Thomas made sure I was well informed and comfortable. The vibe of the shop itself was super chill. You could tell the other artists were interested in each others work and chatty with each other. I wasnt nervous at all because Thomas is very experienced and it came out perfect! These pics are from the day of and about a month healed. I have recommended them to my friends and get compliments on my tattoo almost daily. I will be looking to go back when Im ready for another tattoo!

Jamie Clinton is a brilliant, creative , efficient , dependable , and punctual tattoo artist. Hes done a dozen or so tattoos on me and I cant recommend him enough. His wealth of experience really shines in his execution of vivid and dynamic color combinations that make my other tattooed friends jealous . Jamies talent for coverups and refurbishing tattoos cannot be understated . I take pride in tattoos that Jamie has fixed that I used to be disgusted with. Hes my one and only artist and friends that Ive recommended him to have never been disappointed with his talent . Go see him !

Called today to see if they had any walk in’s available for a vertical labret piercing. The girl that answered was very nice and told me to come in! When I got there her and the person piercing me (I didn’t get either of their names sadly) we’re both so sweet. I was pretty nervous and the guy kept talking and chatting which calmed me down a lot and he let my partner sit with me which was also cool. The piercing went smoothly and looks amazing. I’m super happy with it, the price was great and will now be going here for all my piercings.

This was my first tattoo and Thomas did a great job. He listened carefully to my what I envisioned and brought it to life. The shop was clean. Thomas took great care from start to finish. He also encouraged me to follow up with him if I have any concerns.

I’ve yet to hear anything negative about Divine Arts, so I went there for my first tattoo right after I turned 18. I wanted a 6 inch watercolor tattoo on my thigh and was recommended to Jamie. I showed Jamie a sketch of what I wanted and he made some recommendations to make the tattoo work better, like making the vines black and changing the coloring slightly to make the cross pop. Jamie said he hand draws each of his tattoos so that each one is unique. I was scheduled for a four hour appointment, but I was in and out in two hours, only 90 minutes of which were spent tattooing. Jamie worked quickly and efficiently, despite being paid by the hour. He made conversation to keep me distracted and helped me a lot. I 100% recommend Divine Arts. Their artists are very talented, efficient, and kind people. They made my first tattooing experience the best I could imagine and I intend to return to get my second tattoo soon.

This tattoo shop is a classic. It has privacy curtains if you are a little shy. The receptionist is cute as hell and very helpful. This was my second time getting tattooed by Jamie and he was amazing yet again. gave me exactly what I wanted. 10/10 would recommend if you are trying to get connected to a good shop.

I would definitely recommend this place for tattoo needs!! Very clean inside, everyone follows all safety steps with keeping everything clean and sterile. Thomas is the best great personality easy to talk and get along with which always makes the experience better. Hes very attentive the whole time and tattoo work is extremely good. Absolutely so happy with my ink from him!! Also the front desk/ assistant is very nice, the whole place feels comfy and warm.

Me and my sister got these small tattoos and she got 1970 and 1972 in a 2” tattoo and got charged $275 after her $50 deposit and if it was my choice that would’ve included tip, but trust it didn’t. For one color and an hour and a half spent. Definitely not gonna be back

Divine Arts Tattoo is an amazing tattoo shop. From the front desk to the tattoo artists, they are all friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about their business. I have had 4 tattoos done here over the last 5 years. My 2 newest tattoos and 1 touch up have been done by Mike Trimboli, and in my opinion he is the best. I will definitely be back to Divine Arts when I am ready for my next tattoo.

I felt heard and not rushed. It was my first time when I got my tattoo. The customer service I received when I first went into talk about and schedule a appointment for it went great. The customer service there is very friendly and professional. Ryan, my artist at the time did a great job explaining his process step by step on how he does tattoos so I could have a better understanding of how it works, again it was first time so listening to everything he said really gave me a good idea of what I was about to do. He also gave me some good tips on how to take care of it after it was fully healed. I’m very happy with how it turned out. I would highly recommend Ryan for first time people. If you’re just as nervous and excited at the same time like I was he will definitely put your mind at ease.I thought the pricing of my tattoo was very reasonable. Considering the fact that I was paying for a professional with good quality equipment and a very steady hand to put something on my skin that will be with for the rest of my life.

Not only do they do tattoos (which I have gotten from here before from a lovely tattoo artist by the name of Thomas) they do piercings too. I just got my second piercings and Ryan (the piercer) could not have been any sweeter. I loved the initial jewelry that they provided and they even set you up with aftercare. I will definitely be getting all of my piercings and tattoos from here in the future.

10/10 would recommend this place to everybody. I was super nervous about getting my nipples pierced and the woman who answered the phone was so helpful. She took the time to answer all of my questions & was super patient with me. Ryan did my piercings and was super professional. He explained the process, the after care & made sure I was comfortable. *UPDATE NOVEMBER, 2023*Nothing has changed! The place is still a whole vibe. The shop is clean. You can smell the cleanliness when walking in. The employees take the time to engage with the guests. They are patient when it comes to you deciding on the type of work that you want on your body. They are still very welcoming regardless of your gender, race, sexual orientation etc. As long as the standards remain high, I will continue to recommend this shop to everyone who is looking for some amazing artwork. Lastly, a HUGE shout out goes to Thomas for ALWAYS going above and beyond.I went here for a touch-up on my tattoo. The staff was super friendly and very welcoming with Amazing customer service! They also do piercings! What I admired the most was that they have a sign on their door that says they welcome EVERYONE!! They are certainly living up to that sign and their standards!!

I’ve been here twice for piercings and each time had a great experience! The biggest thing I was looking for with a piercing shop was cleanliness and Divine arts is very clean! I went last year for a triple flat piercing and Ryan was awesome. Super friendly and professional, and clearly knew what he was doing. He explained everything clearly and answered all my questions. I went in for my nostril about a week ago and they are handling COVID very well. Ryan was great and made it as painless as possible! I cannot recommend this place enough!

Went in for a forward helix piercing! Phenomenal experience. The real magic is when a week later one of the balls fell off while I was getting ready. I called to see if I was able to stop in without an appointment and to my surprise I was told yes! I was able to go by the shop (followed all COVID precautions) and Ryan was able to successfully secure my earring! No charge! Actually changed the position to make future earring changes easier!!! Excellent service and super rad people! 🤙🏼

Made an appointment months ago and was really looking forward to my appointment today. I booked it with Jordan and was committed to an entire day session for a touch up and add on.Waited 45 minutes after my appointment time and no one came out to greet me or acknowledge me except for the super friendly person working the front desk.My fiancé and I decided to leave because we didn’t want to wait any longer and the vibe didn’t feel welcoming. I thought maybe Jordan was running late, I could understand that. It seemed like he was chatting with people in the back the entire time but I can’t be sure because I was in the front waiting area. I would not recommend this tattoo shop, I wouldn’t give any money to them. So unprofessional and really upsetting. Would give zero stars if it was an option. Just letting others know my experience, they can judge for themselves.

Ive been to this shop a number of times for body mods for myself and to support friends. The shop is very clean. Ryan is a great piercer, and I will always recommend him because of his gentle and reassuring manner (also good sanitation practices). I got my first tattoo with Jordan, and Im glad I went with him! He was respectful and professional throughout my appointment, and Im so happy with my tattoo! Its been a year and the line work still looks beautiful -no touchups necessary. I have a second tattoo with him on the books!

I got work done twice here! I was very happy both times. I just recently got a armband by Jordan and he is very friendly and does excellent work! I’m going back for more work!Update!I got two tattoos here and one shading! I went to Jordan for my arm band and scar covering. I didn’t think I would ever get my domestic scar covered but he really made my day when he did a awesome job covering my scar and putting my deceased moms name on my arm. The whole staff is very customer friendly and great with making sure they keep appointments even in this covid pandemic. They are very sterile and take cleanliness and customer service seriously. I am very happy with all the services I got.

I had actually tried to get this done once before and gave up because all the studios I called were confusing and blowing the project way out of proportion. You (and Bre of course...she did most of the work upfront!) were straight up, quoted me a price without any lies or tricks, got me on your table super speedy and to be honest Jamie...you were a delight to listen to for a few hours with your stories and knowledge on everything while you autopsied my chest with your assortment of needles. My mom and I both got our cartilage pierced today. It was a comfortable and professional experience and I felt well informed. Ryan did a great job and everyone there was friendly. We drove over an hour out of our way to make sure we got a good experience and we certainly did. I would recommend.

I took my 8-daughter here to get her ears pierced today and it was the best experience! Ryan was friendly, helpful, and had her at ease from the moment we walked in the door. I was completely impressed by his professionalism. She walked out grinning from ear to ear, saying, that was AWESOME! and has been showing everyone her new earrings all evening! Definitely recommend them over the kiosk type places in the mall and will likely be returning for a tattoo -for myself, not my daughter :-)

Everyone in this shop is great. I had Thomas and had a wonderful time he helped me through all of it having my tattoo in a very painful area. Having other tattoos as well from another person a long time ago. However the time with Thomas was one of the best and honestly least painful Ive had with one. I totally recommend this shop for anyone wanting a tattoo. Talking to the piercer as well he seems amazing I didnt get any but listening to others as I was there all day and talking to a few during breaks. Hes a great guy. So I recommend this place for both tattoos and piercings.

Great experience getting my helix pierced. Was checked in quickly and did not have to wait long to be called back. The shop appeared to be immaculate and proper sanitary precautions were taken. Such a great staff of very talented artists! Jordan, Ryan and Charlie all do amazing work and are very sweet. They take time to answer any and all questions, and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. As sometime that works in the medical profession, I am very critical of Infection Control guidelines and can say with absolute certainty these guys pay meticulous attention to them. I have been here many times and 5 stars isnt high enough! I recommend them to everyone; from the parents getting their childs first ear piercing to a someone working on full sleeves and anything in between...

I came here to get my nose pierced and felt welcomed first off, felt completely professional and clean. Everybody was so nice a tattoo artist and pierce professional named Ryan pierced my nose and was very informative on everything I needed to know as well he was very nice. I definitely will be coming back for some tattoos soon as well. :)

We took my 4 year old to get her ears pierced and I can say enough good things. Ryan was the one who pierced her and he was phenomenal. He was professional and likable and made sure she was comfortable and spoken too like a big girl. He was excellent and I recommend them to anyone!

I should’ve gone to a different shop for a second opinion. i came in to get my industrial pierced, and i clearly did not have the right anatomy for it. the piercer shattered the cartilage in my ear and now it is deformed for life. the piercing never healed, despite religiously taking care of it. i had to go to another shop for advice and they told me he messed up my piercing and i really did not have the anatomy for it. this shop may be okay for lobe piercings/any piercings that just go through skin, but stay away from this shop if you want any cartilage piercings

This place is absolutely amazing! The staff is great and helpful. The facility is clean and sanitary. The owner Jordan takes real pride in his work and shop. My sister came for a surprise visit and we really wanted tattoos but they were booked for a few days. The tattoos we wanted were small and would only take 10 minutes a piece. The owner squeezed us in between two appointments since my sister was leaving the next day. We could not be happier with the kindness and hospitality that they showed to us. My sister has since moved to Colorado and I will not see her for another year. So the fact that we have these matching tattoos to always keep us close makes me proud. I will not go back to anywhere in Charlotte unless it is here. You would make a mistake going anywhere else because Jordan and his crew are very talented artists.

Ryan is a great piercing professional! Gentle and made me comfortable. My piercing is doing great and I got to pick my own jewelry instead of some standard piece that piercers choose for you. Abby was great as well. Making the appt and getting me in and out was seemless. Both are super friendly and I actually had a good time while there because of it and Ive never been able to say that before! Thanks fellas!

Ive gotten two tattoos done by Bobby, one is still in progress. I get compliments about my sleeve all the time. His gray & black work is just as good as his color tattoos, pays attention to detail, takes his time, overall hes very diligent. I also forgot to add that bobbys tattooing is versatileThe rest of the staff is very helpful, nice and knowledgable about tattooing. It has a welcoming atmosphere so you dont feel awkward the entire time your getting tattooed and the layout of the shop is set-up very nicely, All the artist do great work whether its color or black & grey. Ill definitely be going back to get more work done in the future. She was so nice and had great advice for me who had not gotten a piercing before! She walked me through everything and made this experience a great one!! They are great for the prices! But the biggest issues that I had was that 2 days after I got my nose pierced, I had to go to a different shop to help me get the correct size! The jewelry that he gave me was way to short and started to embed in my skin and leave a hole in my nose. Luckily I found someone to change it and give me a new piece so it could heal properly. Nice place but don’t get a nose piercing here. Hate this happened.

Just returned from my second trip to get tattooed by Jordan. Drove down 7hrs. from WV for 2 days of tattooing. Did the same last October. Jordan finished both my sleeves. Great shop, great people, and great work. Jordan went to dinner with me and my family and made sure the wife and daughters knew the local spots during the day. So when I say youre treated like family, youre treated like family! Its well worth the 7 hours I drive.

I was nervous to get my second piercings (i only have my bottom piercings and i got those done when i was 8) but ryan was so nice! he made sure i was comfortable and talked me through the process. they’re even and look great! i will definitely be coming back!

I went in to get a tattoo in memory of my boyfriend. It was a simpler tattoo, probably not the most exciting tattoo an artist would enjoy doing. Ive been to other shops that only care about the big, exciting tattoos, and have no interest in anything but your money. But Ryan put so much care and effort into doing it, and made such a meaningful tattoo to me, better than I even hoped it would turn out!!!He did such a spectacular job and Im so happy with how it came out. Ryan is the best piercer Ive ever been to! The shop is super clean and probably the nicest looking place Ive been. When I got my nose pierced, it fell out the same night and when I came back Ryan took care of me and repierced it for me. I’m obsessed with the beautiful tattoo I received from Thomas Harkness at Divine Arts Tattoo. Not only did he do an amazing job translating what I wanted into a beautiful work of art, but he patiently put up with me as I tweaked things along the way (Thomas, those peony leaves are perfection!). I have no doubt that I’ll be back again in the future...although it might take me a few years to decide EXACTLY what I want!

I got a double cartilage piercing here. It was my first piercing behind my ear lobes. They put in two large hoops that’s snagged on everything. The piercing never healed and should not have been pierced with a hoop. I had to take them out after irritation bumps formed.

First time i went here was when i turned 16 for a nose piercing. Went last year in april to get my navel done. In december went and got my cartilage and industrial done. I love going here for my piercing. They are very friendly and very patient with people.

I went here 2 weeks ago on New Years day to get a nose piercing.... Basically because they were the only shop open. Bad idea. The piercer was friendly but VERY inexperienced. He literally pierced the same nostril area 3 times because he couldnt figure out how to get the ring in...claiming it was too short. ( This is a nose screw Earring btw...A titanium one that i Had purchased myself because i have sensitive skin). There was sooooo much blood. Super traumatic. Then at the last minute, He decided to put a different Ring in that they had laying in a drawer at the shop (Did not clean it... And significantly shorter than the noise screw i bought With me.... A nose bone earring)....claiming it was surgical steel & wouldnt cause irritation. The placement was also off, way too left on the nostril, making my nose look bigger... Literally a disaster. Wish experience ever.... And did i mention the blood? I cried for an hour after that, just from the pain, soreness and keloid Scar that i knew was sure to come after that traumatic experience. To make matters worse, they still charged me full price... More because they used their own dirty earring. zFAST FORWARD 2 WEEKS LATER: and Ive experienced pain, pus, discomfort, peeling off my skin around the piercing area only, anddddd lastly, today a dark ring around the piercing because the piercer Lied about the type of metal the earring was made of. Im beyond disappointed. MORTIFIED. DO NOT GO HERE FOR PIERCINGS

I got a revamp on a tattoo I highly regretted. My expectations were BEYOND met. I had Thomas. He used a spray to make my arm numb and it really didnt hurt much. He was able to explain everything as he was going along. I have found my tattoo place!!

Just Got my industrial pierced!! Walked in , Showed my I.D and signed some paperwork & Wala they called me back!! Took no longer that 10 minuets total!!! The guy who pierced my ear was very nice & informative!! Highly recommend this place!!
