The Magic Needle Piercing Studio

We took our daughter here to get #2 and 3 on her lobes. The shop has a fun vibe! I loved how it was decorated and everyone working there was friendly. Trinity did a great job with the piercings, and she was very thorough explaining after care. Our daughter is very happy with the piercings. Super pleased with the whole experience!

Had been contemplating getting piercings for sometime. After chatting with one of my yoga sisters, I decided to visit The Magic Needle in downtown McKinney. The shop is very eclectic with lots to look at before and after getting poked.My appointment was scheduled for 6:00 and I arrived a few minutes early but was not seated with the magic technician until after 6:30. That said, I was able to be seen by one of two ladies recommended.I didn’t think I’d be as nervous as I was, but Mya was patient and calm with me. She even handed me a squishy toy for my nerves.I got both a nose and navel piercing. I’m quite pleased with the look and glad the studio enforces aftercare. I do recommend the shop and more specifically recommend seeing Mya.❤️🪡❤️🪡❤️🪡❤️🪡❤️🪡❤️🪡❤️

Had the best experience! The staff was absolutely amazing and made me feel so comfortable 😊 My sister and I came in today so I can get my dermal removal and my ears pierced and the owner Patty did the removal and my ears and my sisters ears and she was so gentle and the ladies helped me breath and stay strong while removal. This will be my place now if I want another piercing. Definitely recommend!

I got 2 piercings here on my birthday with my sister (she loved her piercing and piercer). I was really happy with one, and was a little less happy with my second (no fault of the staff - just personal preference, it was not looking the way I had hoped). I called a day or so later to let them know I wanted to try again and they asked me to come in. The staff was kind and attentive apart from one gentleman who kept trying to convince me it would look differently once it healed. The owner, Patty, stepped in as well. I remembered Patty from another piercing place- funny enough, she had fixed my piercings (from a different person at the shop) that time too! (side note, I had been looking for her and when I called the old shop they would not tell me where she had gone- otherwise I would have continued to go to her!) I was relieved because Patty immediately understood what I was unhappy with and advocated for me, and made me feel seen and heard. She re-pierced me herself and it was painless, clean, quick, and professionally done. I was so happy with the result, I cant stop admiring my piercing in the mirror (it has healed great!). The staff was welcoming and did not seem upset or irritated with me wanting to come back and try again. In fact, each member of the team touched my ear to make sure it would be safe to pierce the area again. I will definitely be coming back and telling others to come get pierced here as well! Had my septum done by Trinity in July. Awesome experience. Trinity took the time to make sure everything was placed correctly, didn’t rush and did everything to help me feel comfortable. I had a million questions and Trinity even answered some questions about other work I want to have done. The environment was clean and comfortable with fun decor. I’ll definitely be back for my next piercing. Oh and pricing is reasonable for the quality of work.

Went in pretty close to closing time which i already felt bad about, but my piercing was super loose and I needed to get it tweaked/replaced before work. The three people that were there were absolutely amazing!!! They were so nice and got me taken care of quickly and also gave me great pointers for the future on what might be the cause. Will be returning most definitely for future piercing needs and really hope those employees get the credit they deserve from ownership!!

100/10 stars! The girls at this shop were incredible and so sweet. I was so nervous to have my nose pierced for the first time and they talked me through the entire process and calmed me down. Very clean, knowledgeable, and so sweet! Thank you for everything!

Anna was great. After an extremely unpleasant experience with a DIFFERENT studio/person in the past i was hesitant to get another piercing. She listened to my concerns and explained what went wrong in the past and what she would do to make it a different experience/ go right this time. Very good experience and will go back if i get more piercings

Best ever! I have gotten 3 of my piercings from them, and they always heal perfectly and the process is as painless as it gets! They are very understanding and have great regard for those with medical issues. The prices are AMAZING and affordable! Mya is the sweetest ever and makes everything so easy and fast. Patty is also very fun and knowledgeable! The shop is extremely clean and sterile. Once they put on their gloves, they wont touch anything but the piercing site and sterile tools. I love this place so much, and I will keep coming back for more piercings!

Absolute stellar service! I would give this place all the stars in the world if I could. If you’re thinking about getting pierced this is the place, hands down. It is so hard to find establishments that truly care about their customers these days and these lovely ladies do. They are all extremely knowledgeable in the practice, very very caring, attentive and patient and just all around the best. I will always keep coming here as long as they’re around.

Could’ve sworn i did a review! i got my dimples done here around 5 months ago by patty. the decor here was beautiful and i loved the environment! the workers were kind, though the prices on the site were different than i paid (even checked the site in the store LOL), but that’s not too big a deal! good work isn’t cheap and i didn’t mind paying a little more! patty did my dimples and she did a beautiful job! she made sure to ask my preferences on placement and was very informative about risks and aftercare! overall i’d recommend this shop and patty specifically. thanks again :)

I’ve gotten 3 different piercings as well as piercing changes at magic needle and i love all 3 of them as well as the piercers!! they are all so nice and friendly. definitely helps with the experience of a needle going through various parts of your body easier and less scary!

This studio is amazing best service. Best piercing studio Ive been to in north Texas .To JD They have a sign on door that states No alcohol allowed you giving them a bad review because you cant have your way shame on! They have a right to refuse business from people like you .

This is great place. Always busy :) but that’s a good thing. The staff is kind and helpful. I was nervous for my lobe piercing but everything went on smooth. Mya was very kind and patient. All my questions were answered as well. Will visit again for my next piercing.

Its wonderful that we now have a great piercing studio in Mckinney. There were four ladies working there the day I went and every one of them was knowledgeable, kind and well experienced. I had 6 piercings that day and they were all handled perfectly. Keep in mind that theyre closed on Wednesdays. Theyre located on the west side of the square near the antique mall and close to the library. No matter what kind of piercing you want, you will be well cared for here and glad that you went.

I went here on Saturday with some family - this was my second time here. I LOVED IT! Such a professional, clean, and beautiful shop. The entire staff was so nice and helpful. Tip from me - make sure you have an appointment! It is such a smooth process when you have an appointment & arrive a little early to fill out the paperwork.I am typically a very anxious person, but there was nothing to be anxious about here. The staff is so knowledgeable and kind, and the piercings go by so fast. I got my nose pierced and I already want to go back for another piercing!

This place is a rip-off. The desk staff and front desk were incredibly rude and pushy. The piercing girl (?) couldnt get the placement on my daughters ear correct, and rushed us through the process without any care for my daughters preferences. But, if you dont mind creepy people and Satanic decor, then this is the place for you! 🙄 Zero stars, if I could.

My experience was horrible. Sad thing is, they probably wouldn’t remember me even if I did go back, although I went a few times for the same piercings, but the fact that I went back for corrections and I only ended up with badly placed piercings that wouldn’t heal and ultimately caused painful scarring. The picture shows the piercings months after initial piercing.

Mya was the sweetest! I was really anxious, indecisive, and everything in between. Needless to say, I loveee my nose piercing and it didn’t even hurt like I thought it would. She was amazing and everyone at the shop hyped me up! Definitely will recommend 1,000 times over. 🤩🫶🏽🥹

The lady who pierced my ear was so sweet but after only 4 months my ear started hurting. I’m so happy I took out my earring because it was all rusted! They told me this earring is surgical steel and is great and will never rust. There was also an extra piece of rust. So happy I took it out and hope it doesn’t get infected worse.

I had an earlobe piercing appointment & was in & out in 15 mins. Shoutout to Maya and the other friendly staff for the quality service.

Loved my experience here! The ladies were so helpful in both guiding my thoughts on where to place my piercings and walked me through the process. I’m so happy!! To happy healing and will return in four weeks for downsizing.

I went to get my second piecing on my nose and what a great experience, actually night and day from my recent visit to Cowboy tattoo in Mckinney. I went to get my piercing about 10 days ago, the piercer at Cowboy tattoo Katie was UNABLE to get the jewelry into the piercing. She even has the audacity to ask me to put on gloves and try to insert the stud, although i have NO experience my self. Anyhow, i went to see Mya and not only is she fantastic, she is super sweet and patient. My piercing is placed perfectly and I am in love. Moral of the story, never go to Cowboy tattoo and see Katie. Just skip the pain and frustration and go see Mya!!!

Hands down everything about Pattys personality (Truly Genuine Bada** Boss Chick!) her shop, employees and service is top notch. I had previously gotten my nose pierced somewhere else. Experienced immense bleeding and my nose began to keloid soon after. Right away Patty recognized the cheap jewelery that was used, removed it, dropped a ton of knowledge AND most importantly she used these discs to kill the bacteria. About a week or so later my nose was keloid free with a new and proper stud! Incredibly thankful because yeah could u imagine a keloid remaining on your nose? Thanks a million times Magic Needle!!

This place was amazing! Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable! Xochie did a fantastic job with my teenagers ear piercing! I highly recommend The Magic Needle. Be sure and ask for Xochie too! We will most definitely be back for my other two daughters

Went in for a double lobe piercing, because of a slight miscommunication I got my second and third lobe pierced, upon realization, they happily pierced the first one for me for free, so now I have three lobe piercings that are all healing nicely! the shop is small but very nicely laid out, everyones nice and its a chill atmosphere, 10/10 would recommend and return!!

I brought my 15 year old to get her ears pierced. The girls were all nice and helpful. We will be back. Anna did a great job

I got my nose pierced today, and it was great experienced! Even though I went in as a walk in I didn’t wait long, granted I went during the weekday. Lady at the front desk and piercer Trinity was great! Everything was sterile, the establishment was clean and definitely a vibe!

The front desk was friendly and open to questions. I got pierced by Patty, who is personable and funny. I appreciate her patience and expertise in getting the earring placement just right. Most importantly, she has a light and gentle hand. Piercings will hurt, but whatever magic Patty used made the process less painful. I highly recommend the Magic Needle and will be returning soon.

Took my teen to get her nose pierced as a walk in. She wanted here as it’s women owned and ran. She wanted me to get mine done with her. We had Bailey as a piercer. I sent her the proof I’m my child’s guardian and parent via her skyward school website and only had to wait 30-ish minutes to be seen. She pierced us differently than I’ve experienced and I’ve had multiple face piercings over my lifetime but it wasn’t bad by any means. We got pierced July 27th and it’s already healed! She put an L bracket nose stud in us both and had us both lay down for the piercing. She used tongs and gave my kiddo some cute sushi squishes to hold during. Ignore her attitude filled face as she didn’t want a photo but we were fine right after and went out to eat. 10/10 will be back if we need anything else done!

Got my septum pierced here by Ms. Patty and she did a wonderful job. She kept me very informed about everything she was doing and she even gave me a stress ball to squeeze while I got my piercing done. I went in just to get my daith jewelry switched out, and found out that it had been done wrong originally, and it would be difficult for me to ever get jewelry in and out. After a couple of them tried to help get the new bar in for like 30 minutes, the boss came over and just offered to repierce and fix it for me. They were super patient with me and really nice through the whole experience. I’ve been to a bunch of different piercing places around McKinney, and I would highly recommend Magic Needle!

Quick response for an appointment, and wonderful staff! So fun and friendly! I came in to get my favorite piercing redone and ANNA was so precise and paid close attention to past scar tissue. These ladies rock! Can’t wait to come back for more.

I had a great experience at The Magic Needle. I was a bit nervous going in for a lobe piercing after my original ones from 40 years ago closed up. They put me at ease and the experience was quick and with very little pain. It has been a week since I had it done and my ears have not been sore or caused any problems. Thank you ladies!

This place really is Magic!! Brought my daughter here for her birthday on Christmas Eve, she wanted her belly button pierced. We both had a magical experience thanks to the owner Patty and her awesome team. The team were friendly, down to earth, made you feel at home, all of them were very knowledgeable and forthcoming with information and tips/advice, the studio was very clean, beautiful location and aesthetic inside and out. Mya pierced my daughters belly button, she was especially amazing, she helped ease my daughters nerves, walked her through each step, and gave perfect not rushed after care instructions, made sure all of our questions were answered. They also have the coolest in house after care solution that we have loved using so far. My daughter loves her belly button piercing, we are both very happy we found this place. The owner Patty is incredibly talented, so nice, and professional, you can tell by talking to her just how well she knows her stuff, she was so careful and precise in her placement and measurements, anyone can see this is truly art for her and that she’s a perfectionist which is obviously great when having any type of piercing done. I came back the next day to have some piercings done by her, her and her apprentice made my experience so easy and pleasant that I hugged her when we were done, would recommend this place 10/10. Latina and female owned were just an added bonus. Downtown McKinney is lucky to have such a neat studio in their midst.

Me and my friend came in to our appointment 30 minutes early on accident yesterday, zero wait time! got my labret and navel done and omg they are so perfect. the employees were super nice and gave me a stress toy to squeeze while getting pierced. piercing was super fast too. they are healing great with no pain.

I loved getting pierced here! I came in with my friends to get a septum and ear lobe piercing and I absolutely loved the service. Ms. Patty was my piercer and she kept me calm throughout the entire service and even hyped me up! I was anxious getting pierced because of the pain but she kept me calm with a stress ball and our conversations. She made sure my lobe piercings were even and to my liking and overall she was amazing. She informed me about the after care and explained how to clean my piercings really well! Loved the service, the environment, and the workers! Definitely would come here again!!

Went here to get my orbital. Staff was super friendly and professional. My piercer was amazing and knew what she was doing! All my piercings always get infected, but I have had this one for a week and its perfect! Definitely going here from now on!

I got 3 new piercings with Anna and she did such an amazing job. She was super quick and so sweet. She also changed two of my other piercings and I’m obsessed with them. Do not come here !! I wish I put no stars at all. They pierced my ear crooked! They have low quality piercings! And they need more training! My ear is infected because how low quality the piercings are and the lady said it will be fine to pierce where there’s scar tissue built up already and it hurts so bad!! And it’s infected!! Not only just those two things but she pierced my ear crooked!!! I got pierced with a TRAINER before!!! And he did way much better than the female I got my ear pierced with! Much cheaper as well with REAL sterling piercings! I recommend going to Koneko studio!

Best place to get any piercing! It’s such an eccentric and eclectic piercing shop. Such a great vibe to the fullest! Patty and the staff are knowledgeable and professional, and take the time to make you feel absolutely comfortable.

I had gotten my daith pierced at another shop and my piercing had fallen out... I went there to get a new piercing and they put it in for me... 2 days later it was really swollen and they changed out the piercing again... it really hurt but the girls were amazing and very helpful and understanding... she gave me better cleaning instructions and its already feeling much better! definitely recommend them!

I love me some Anna. I went for a daith piercing and she did it so smooth, painless and effortless as can be. She was attentive and professional. If I want another piercing I will definitely go back to get it done with Anna. Also, the atmosphere was welcoming and clean.

I feel bad, because Im not sure the name of the lady who pierced us nor do I remember the name of the receptionist. However, my sister and I bad an amazing experience. Ill admit, I was pretty nervous as I dont have any piercings (outside of my ears) and I am in the middle of an eczema flare up. However, they were both great! Got my septum done today!! Staff was very welcoming and entertaining. I felt very comfortable the whole time. Piercing feels fine and no part of the process was especially painful- a pinch with the pierce and some stinging afterward was all.No regrets!! I went in for a nostril piercing and the entire staff was incredibly kind. The two ladies at the front helped me get settled and answered my questions and then Patty, the owner, did my piercing—she was so thoughtful and so quick! I had been worried it would hurt and it was over before it even started. (: I couldn’t recommend them more.

The atmosphere and customer service here is absolutely amazing! I went in to get my first piercing and the two ladies at the front were super nice and greeted me as I was walking in. I got my piercing from Bailey, who was nice enough to notice I was anxious and offered water, soda, and crackers to make sure I was okay (I was squeamish). The employees here all seemed to really care about me. Everybody there was very professional and hyped me up for my piercing. After getting it done, the piercer and Maya (I think that’s her name.) spoke to me about aftercare to make sure I was all taken care of. All in all, this place is amazing to go to for your piercing needs!

Walked in on a very busy afternoon in Downtown McKinney. I was greeted immediately by staff and discussed what options I was considering, and was given a full price consultation before moving forward. I was then escorted to Mya who would perform my piercing. She answered all of my questions before any procedure was completed. Mya was so calming during the process making sure I was OK multiple times. Mya also made sure I knew the cleaning protocol and timelines for down sizing, healing and changing the jewelry before I left as well. Thank you for making my experience so wonderful!

I have been there twice with me and my mom. We both got our cartilage pierced. The staff was great and the owner Patty was super sweet to me! She gave very good directions on how to take care of our piercing with cleaning. I recommend going here to get any piercing. Super clean, very personable and we will be going back! Patty is very professional and the staff is amazing as well as very friendly and welcoming. When it came to taking care of my piercings, she made sure to inform me of all the aftercare and what was needed to do to avoid any type of infection so my piercing can look at its best. I had already gotten a lobe piercing by patty and it was absolutely amazing! Came back with something completely different and not only Patty but front desk, other loyal customers, and her apprentices made me feel so comfortable. I was nervous about this particular piercing but Patty and her amazing apprentice made me feel at ease and comfortable. It was so quick and so easy. I’m just grateful she’s a professional piercer who cares and educates her clients. I go back in 2 weeks for a check up and it’s going to be so hard to leave without a new hole in my body from her. 10/10 recommend. You will NOT be disappointed.

I’ve had positive experiences with piercings here in the past however I can’t recommend them for jewelry changes because 1. they charge $25 for them 2. if it’s not jewelry they sell they may not know how to put it in but they will gladly tell you they can do it and take your money and not refund you after not being able to figure out how to put it in. Also the nose jewelry they do sell can be a bit faulty and the backing may come out I would recommend an L bar or something similar to avoid it.

Beyond grateful for this place I came in with and infected nose ring from cowboy tattoos. They fixed me up immediately. Such an amazing environment of strong women. Totally recommend!! It may be pricey but hands down worth every dollar. So happy with my new results.

Apart of the live scene of downtown McKinney, the magic needle offers something new and fresh. Their staff are honest and warm people who have stories to share to make you feel more at home. The shop itself is gorgeous and suits the vibe very well. I myself have been pierced several times here and never had a compliant about them. I have been able to come in and ask questions MONTHS after my piercings and Ive always been greeted with open arms. I have seen them pierce children, teens, and adults and all were happy customers. Highly recommend to anyone, but especially people who have wanted a piercing but have been nervous. The Magic Needle is great quality but also great company.

Just tried to buy a replacement set of jewelry- $50 for basic barbells. Then promptly the cashier at the front said “okayyyy byeeeeeee”. Attitude from the front of house sucks. Avoid as piercing shop.

The girls here were so sweet and welcoming. I had never been here before or had a piercing in many years.Check-in was simple, wait was short and the staff member who took care of my piercing was so kind and explained everything thoroughly before, during and after.Shop is cute af to boot!Would definitely recommend to anyone.Thanks, yall!

I went there to get two piercings done in my left ear.Arrived a little early was no problem for them. The staff were all very friendly was a really clean and nice looking shop.I had Ashley do my piercing and she could not have been nicer.Explained to me all the after care and how much and when to apply there lotion got it done no problem no pain whatsoever.The whole thing was a really pleasant experience so much so I’m going back next Friday to get the other ear done.I highly recommend any one wanting a piercing to hit them up.

I had previous bad experiences with my first two lobe piercings at claire’s (as first piercings usually go with a gun).This experience was exceptionally less stressful and actually very fun and easy going! They really help you decide on where to place your jewelry, as well as make the piercing simple and fast. You don’t feel rushed while in the shop, and they guarantee aftercare service after your appointment. I got my doubles and my cartilage done, and the process was relatively painless. Seriously.Highly recommend. Great location downtown as well!

Ive been twice now, once for my seconds and then for a helix as I work on a personal ear curation project. The staff is kind, patient, and knowledgeable. The facility and tools are very clean and maintained. I will definitely be back as I continue this project!

I got my septum done here. I was really nervous about it and been holding getting it done for awhile because of hearing horror stories about it. However, after meeting the owner and him giving me good advice and being very educational and understanding of my personal anxiety I decided to finally get my nose done. The staff were very nice, very conscious I was an anxious person and nervous about getting my septum done and walked me through whole thing. I just walked in and did it for me and barely had to wait! I had great experience. I did however think I left my ID there and called in explaining I thought I left it there and they were very helpful then too. ( I didn’t, it was still in my bag I’m a goofball! Sorry staff!)

The staff and owner are very thorough and walked me through multiple piercing options. Moreover, they were very reassuring and triple-checked the placement of my piercing after having gotten an uneven piercing at the Pin Cushion a year ago (that I ended up removing soon after).This establishment is well worth the price and drive, theyll get it right the first time. Im definitely coming back to get other piercings in the future.

Miss Patty was very nice and accommodating. She allowed my boys to sit and wait while I got my piercing. The gal over the phone did not mention no kids allowed before I got there. Her response “it’s kind of a given”. Other piercing shops in the area have let my boys in. So no dear… not a given. Also, I had been having excruciating migraines, which was why I decided on getting my daith pierced. The gal that did my piercing was very sweet but seemed a bit inexperience, but everybody has to start somewhere so I’m fine with that. Piercing my daiths with curved barbell is very hard to clean as opposed to a hoop. I was not asked nor told till afterwards. Two weeks later, realized that my earring had came out one one side. Came in the next day to have them replace it for $25, even though I wasn’t advice to tighten them. I have been nurturing it but somehow one of my daith piercing has a piercing bump. It’s only been 5 weeks. Called to ask for help as to why it was done with a bar and not hoop. Response was, That’s just the way they do it because it won’t heal with a hoop, which is funny because that’s what most people use. I did not mind the price being $30 more than other shops, but the lack of real answers got to me. Same girl on the phone didn’t seem like she wanted to help. Her other response to my piercing bump was the bar being too long and that I needed to come in to downsize, even though it hasn’t passed the downsize recommended time. I will go to Pin Cushion, way more helpful and only $5 as opposed to magic needle $20-$25 per earring. I am only writing this review in hopes that they will serve McKinney better. 4 star to piercing, 5 star to miss Patty, 1 to rude girl at the front. 3.5 star.

I accidentally yanked my hoop out of my nose and decided not to put it back in because I wanted a new one anyway. I went two days without a piercing in, not knowing just how quickly nose piercings healed. I came here to get a new one put in and was informed by the piercer that the hole was already partially closed.Getting it redone was not fun. My pain tolerance isn’t the best so I cried and flinched a lot (super embarrassed about that). But the two girls that were there made the experience so much easier. The piercer was extremely patient with me and gentle. She kept making sure I was okay, kept offering me water and etc. The girl from the counter had also come back there and they both did a good job of keeping me distracted from the pain with general conversation. They were friendly and nice. I was so anxious but their demeanors calmed me down.I genuinely appreciate the way they handled everything. I hope they see this and know what an amazing job they did and that I’m truly thankful!

Staff needs education on the kinds of metal they handle and allergies. I called to make an appointment and I let them know I am allergic to silver, gold and nickel. The first option they recommend? Surgical stainless steel (which has nickel in it,) and their second option was titanium with diamonds because they had nothing else.Update: Having only two options in titanium is unacceptable. You dont have to be a jewelry store to be accommodating, let alone when it comes to body modification. Implant grade stainless steel still has nickel in it, albeit a lesser amount than surgical stainless steel. Steer clear, folks. Theyre lacking both education and professionalism.

I had my septum re-pierced with Patty and she really took her time to make sure she chose the right spot, very professional and knowledgeable. Place was super clean and all staff was friendly. Id recommend this place to anyone whos getting something pierced. Also my septum has healed in about 2 weeks, no pain 4 or 5 days out.

My experience with Magic Needle was AWESOME! I recently got a nose piercing about 3 weeks ago. Staff was nice and professional. I didnt look at the needle, so I closed my eyes and within a blink of an eye it was over. Hardly even felt it because it was quick. I was given instructions on how to care for my piercing. Ive had no issues whatsoever. I pick places by reviews, and this one has the most in my area. If you want a piercing done, choose The Magic Needle. Im going back soon for another one.

I got my nose pierced a few years back at a studio out of state. I recently changed my nose piercing with a hoop I bought from Etsy. After a few days I had really bad irritation and could not remove it myself. I called up the Magic Needle and they were able to have me come in right away. The staff was so friendly and helpful! My nose was very irritated from me trying to get the hoop out but the staff removed it so gently, I didn’t feel a thing! They advised me on after care and getting my piercing back to normal. Highly recommend!!

I treated myself and my friend to some new piercings for her birthday and it was amazing! Tiffany did both of our piercings (just a cartilage for her, but a cartilage and a re-do naval from one that closed years ago for me) and it was relaxed, clean and easy. Tiffany made both of us feel confident she knew what she was doing and what the process was. Love this place and can’t wait to come back!

The whole staff was lovely and my piercer Mya was incredible. They were efficient, clean, knowledgeable, and made me feel so comfortable. The prices are fair, too. Hands down best piercing experience Ive had.

This is the ONLY place that I trust to do my piercings! I have gotten multiple piercings from both Patty and her apprentices. My daughter got her nose pierced here and it was an awesome experience as it was her first. Patty made her feel comfortable during the process easing her fears of the needle by explaining the process as she is doing it. The shop is clean and super fun! They pierced my husband’s ears wrong …. It looks straight but in the back the hole is not lined up they pierced it so the piercing has to go in at an angle we had to take his earrings out…

Patty was awesome! She did my lobes, after which, they had closed sometime ago. Mine happen to be sensitive, although, I don’t believe I conveyed that to her at the time. Patty made everything alright and was very professional, and nice to converse with! I got my lobes and cartilage pierced, and absolutely loved the experience. Patti was so sweet and incredibly quick, I hardly felt any pain. The staff is incredibly welcoming, supportive, and more than willing to answer any questions. I walked in a bit nervous, as this was my first piercing in a long time, but walked out with a wonderful experience, new holes in my ears, and a smile on my face.

Ive always thought I had a low pain tolerance and was scared of needles because of it, but Tiffiny is seriously the best. She made getting my double nose piercing experience easy, simple and not painful at all. It was such a great experience that I have gone back for5 more piercings and plan on going back for 5 more. I got my septum pierced here exactly 4 months ago. Everyone was so kind, and it took no time at all. This is my best experience at a piercing shop, and I’ll go here for any other piercings in the future. One of the girls even offered for me to hold her hand. I wasn’t even uncomfortable during the piercing. The girl that pierced me was quick and I could tell she knew what she was doing. I even love the size of the ring she gave me! They are really good at finding the perfect placement, which is really important when getting a septum. I got my first piercing on my nose done at the pin cushion and it was horrible in every way. Love these girls! I’ve gone to them for years now whenever I have the “I want a new piercing” yearning. They are always so friendly, professional and clean. Went in today to get a daith ear piercing for migraines, with a migraine. The kind of migraine that was definitely a “I want to be curled in a corner crying, 10/10 on the pain scale” kind of pain. The instant they pierced my daith my pain went from a 10 to a 3, in seconds. Absolutely recommend it and these wonderful ladies!!

Patty has pierced my lip twice, as well as my septum. I got extremely lucky to get pierced by her and she’s wonderful at her job! The shop is perfectly cozy and everybody is absolutely wonderful! To make a long a long story short a year ago I had a major surgery which caused my bellybutton to be ripped open. I went in months ago where the owner recommended I wait a full year before attempting a re-piercing. After a long wait today was the day. The sweet lady was so patient, kind, and paid incredible detail to placement by asking the owner over multiple times to make sure it was done perfectly. I could have cried with how much this meant to me. Highly recommend them to anyone!! I cant thank them enough for how much they cared about their customer.

I had a great experience at the magic needle. All the the staff was amazing. I have had my lobe pierced 3 times previously and every time they would pierce in the same spot, which was way too low. Patty pierced it in the correct spot and made them look the way I wanted them done the first time. That being said, she knows how to do her job well and make me laugh while I was there. I really liked the other workers, especially the one who was talking with me while getting pierced. She didn’t know this but I have a fear of needles and her talking helped a lot. I didnt even get the chance to start stressing. The Magic Needle will be where I go when I get another urge to have someone poke another needle through my ear. Thanks y’all!

What an amazing experience! My husband recommended this place because of the witchy vibes. I was originally going to go to the pin cushion, but after checking this place out I felt so comfortable & every person leaving seemed happy & not in pain. I was a walk in, and in & out within 45 minutes. I got my septum peirced, and was super nervous just because it had been 4 years since my last peircing. All of the peircers & the front host were so cool & made me feel so comfortable, and the peircing didnt hurt at all. I will most definitely be coming back to get more peircings here. Absolutely fell in love with this place. Such a cool vibe & very professional staff! 10 stars if I could!

As a mother when your teen wants to get his ear pierced, your first thought is to research. I am blessed to have found such a caring person such as Patty. She not only forms a bond right away but always keeps her focus as if you were the only person in the room which makes you feel instantly calm. So happy to have also gotten my nose pierced by her as well, which was so quick that I would do it again if possible :-) She always extends her hand in help in any piercing matter cause after care is so important to her as well. Her new product The Witches Brew is really a magic mixer to have for aftercare needs. Hope you decide to go to her cause why would you go anywhere else.

Made me wait approximately an hour for them to do nothing. I came in for a jewellery change. The process for which shouldnt take that long. But they let 4 people go infront of me, who came in AFTER me. Not once did they acknowledge my presence and honestly? It felt extremely humiliating to sit there by yourself while u see people coming in and out.. who came after you. I Never leave reviews but i honestly felt really unwelcomed. I really wanted to like the place because it looked awesome but ig unless ur white and are getting a piercing, you won’t be treated like a human. I literally started crying after i left the shop because i felt so bad. Idk why they did that but yeah keep that in mind if you come inEDIT:In response to the owners response:- no one told me i would have to wait over an hour and even more than that you just said “ take a seat we will be right with you”- the only reason why I mentioned race was because i see no other reason why you would treat me like that. There were only white ( passing ) people working. Hence i did not “ leave out important information “- no one told me you were fully booked AND that too, with appointments if that was the case, i wouldve just come in another time or you shouldnt be taking clients if you know you are fully booked and cant handle a jewellery change. You really just had to communicate with me but you just let me sit for over an hour. No form filling, no conversation, no u can pick from our jewellery selection… literally nothing and i was not the only walk in but who knows.Like i said, i dont really leave reviews esp bad ones but ya’ll really made me feel bad to the point of tears. Just do better tbh

I’ve been here several times to get both my eyebrows pierced, and to accompany my friends to get their ears pierced, snake bites and septum’s and it’s been a lovely experience. Not only is the pricing good, the place is super cool, spotless and the staff is down to earth and lovely to talk to. All in all, this place is sick. I came here on Friday the 13th as the location was close by but I didn’t know what to expect. BUT this is my new go to place for my piercings. Patty is AWESOME. She’s so sweet and you can tell she knows what she’s doing. I downsized one of my long posts from an older piercing and she has all the jewelry and knowledge I could ask for. The piercing shop is cute and clean and her rockabilly/punk vibe is super dope. I haven’t had any issues with my piercings (and I almost always get bumps and issues, I’ve gotten 18 piercings before patty and I plan on getting more with her). Come here! She’s also mad affordable. I can’t recommend enough.

If you plan to walk into your appointment and not wait, please plan ahead for wait time. My appointment was at 3:30pm I got there and by 4:15pm was still waiting on the artist. I asked for a refund and left, very disappointed that I couldnt get my piercing. It looks like this was with one artist in particular because other people got there for a 4:00pm and got in a few minutes later. I dont mind waiting 10-15 minutes but 45 is a huge ask specifically if I had an appointment scheduled over 2 weeks ago. If you know you have 2 customers and it will take you more time, then dont book any other customers until the time that you will be done with the first 2.Aside from this, the place is vey nice, looks clean and professional.

The three ladies working were very friendly and answered any questions that I had. They walked me through the whole process before actually doing my piercing. I wasn’t nervous but there was another customer that was and they did a great job at helping him relax. Everything was very clean. I didn’t have to make an appointment, and I was in and out fairly quickly.

I saw Anna for my forward helix and my fourth lobes… and she was AMAZING. She was so sweet, so informative, so QUICK, so patient, and SO fun!!! She was more than happy to adjust it to exactly where i wanted it. GO AND SEE HER!!!!!! ❤️

The only piercing I’ve ever got here was an eyebrow piercing. I got the eyebrow one a couple months back. The service was okay but it took about an hour of waiting when there was only one other costumer at the time. I normally don’t write reviews for infections because its normally the costumers fault but this time doesn’t make sense. I have 16 other piercing, three of which are facial piercings and I have clean ever single one of them with same products, the same exact way. With my eyebrow I did the same exact thing but it somehow got infected today. Now it still may be my fault but i find it strange that the one time I go here i get infected when 16 of my other ones have never been infected.

Its all about placement and Patti has the eye for it! We had a 3 pm appointment and showed up at about 2:50 pm. Everything started great we completed the paperwork paid for the services we were getting and then took our seats. There was one person before us and about 5 people came after us. As we were waiting there was no communication between us and their staff. After about 45 minutes of waiting, I saw what looked like a major confusion amongst the staff. Lots of whispering and concerned faces. I asked if everything was okay and they continued to serve everyone before us. I am sure they have had their reasons we just dont know why. I asked for a refund and the staff just reimbursed and that was that. Very disappointed left work early drove 30 minutes there looked like a nice place other than service. They let over 300 dollars walk out with no concern about our time. Not one of the employees apologized. Things happen In get that, however, what was going to be a great Friday afternoon was ruined.

I was in the shop today to get some new piercings and change some old ones out. This was the best experience i’ve ever had getting piercings. Everyone in there was super nice and helpful. The very nice woman, Patty, that gave me my piercings, was super knowledgeable about the healing process and which type of jewelry was best for the piercings and she even replace and helped me with a piercing I got a year ago that wasn’t healing properly. I will definitely be back for more piercings from this awesome shop!

I came here last Monday to check out the irritation bump on my nose piercing & for jewelry switch-outs. Patty & her piercing team were amazing! Patty addressed my previous piercers mistakes (She used pigtail jewelry & the posts were waaaaaay too small for a healing nose piercing). Once the switch out was complete, my nose felt relieved! (I was switched out to a flat back labret stud. Not sure what its called. 🙈)Im so happy that this shop exists but sad that I didnt come here first for my piercing session. I love Patty! She is the absolute BEST. I’ve seen her for all of my piercings for the last 3 years. Septum done several times due to my job making me take it out, my 2nd holes on my ears, she fixed my belly button from some guy ruining it when I was 18, she has done so many for my friends and family, as well. She is one of the most caring piercers and people I know. I blacked out once due to not eating all day, and she handled it extremely well. Truly, the women at Magic Needle are a god-send. My mother was in pain from an incorrect piercing done at another shop. The other shop was unavailable to remove the piercing so my mother and I rushed to Magic Needle. When we got there just before closing, they were cleaning and had the closed sign, but the woman who answered the door asked what the problem was and immediately asked my mom to come inside and that of course they would help her. All of the employees were so helpful and kind. They asked where mom had gotten pierced and let us know that they get fix-it jobs from that shop all the time. The woman who removed my moms piercing was so gentle and kind. Another worker let my mom hold her hand because she was in so much pain. After the piercing was taken out my mom was crying and just so happy to have the piercing out. The woman gave her a hug and calmed her down. They gave us great care recommendations and were just so helpful. I dont think my mom and I couldnt say thank you enough. We are so grateful.

I have nothing but good things to say about this studio. Patty is an artist and a skilled professional, and her apprentices and staff uphold her high standards. I am partway through a longterm project with them -- salvaging old piercings done at inferior studios and curating designs for my ears that are unique and highlight the best features of my ears. I will not go anywhere else.Their reputation for excellence means that they are in high demand and busy. You can show up as a walk-in, but they recommend making an appointment. You may end up waiting a couple of hours for your turn without one because appointments take priority.

I had an amazing experience and my piercer was named anna. She was so supportive, patient, and caring the whole time and was super quick! Highly recommend this place and if you go, request anna!

As a NTX MUA, I would never recommend anywhere but the Magic needle piercing studio in McKinney Texas! The staff goes out of their way to make every customer feel comfortable and invited. The piercer definitely knows what she’s doing and explains everything along the way! The aftercare instructions are so crystal clear that you can’t go wrong. I definitely promote this shop!

I came in to have both of my nostrils pierced, did not have an appointment but they were so kind to see me. Sonchee (sorry if i spelled your name wrong) is the one who did my piercings, she is super gentle, super sweet, told me step by step what she was doing, explained aftercare in detail and is so awesome! Loved the atmosphere and the environment theyve created with this business. Will be back in the future for more piercings.

Loved my piercing and Patty!! The process was fast and quick. The second I stepped in the energy was amazing, the nervousness I had was quickly resolved once Patty did my piercing and talked me through it. Definitely coming for my next piercing and would recommend others as well!

This place deserves ZERO stars! Do not go here unless you want to pay $300 in doctor visits, treatment and medication!!! I saw Patty about 2 months ago for an infected conch piercing I had done 8 months prior (piercing was not done by them) and I just wanted the earring out because I couldn’t take it out on my own. She had to replace the hoop with a long bar to contain the infection for 2 weeks before I could remove it for good. I paid $60 for that and a metal earring ball that was left in my freaking ear! As she was changing the jewelry and screwing the little metal ball on the bar earring she lost the ball! She said it must’ve fell on the floor and asked her assistant for a new one. I thought it was weird but thought SURELY she would tell me if that went in my ear. 6 weeks later I wake up to ear pain and some loss of hearing. Freaked out, I saw my PCP that day and you know what she saw.... A LITTLE METAL BALL ON MY EAR DRUM. After an hour of irrigation she couldn’t get it. I was then referred to an ENT who tried to get it out but was worried she would rupture my ear drum as she couldn’t tell if skin on my ear drum had grown over the earring so I had to see another ENT the following morning because my ear was so irritated. I was prescribed an antibiotic-steroid ear drop. I was so angry and upset I couldn’t even call The Magic Needle that day to tell them what they did because I couldn’t even talk about it without crying because of Patty’s straight up carelessness! Thank god the next morning the ENT said it must’ve fell out in my sleep because all he saw was a blood blister and it didn’t look like the pictures that was taken the day before.Today (2 weeks later) was my follow up and I still have a scab on my ear drum. NEVER GO TO THESE PEOPLE!!! THEY ARE HORRIBLE!! This place sure is magic..... now you see it, now you DON’T!

Brought my 16yo in for a belly button ring. We each ended up with those and I also got my nose done! Im not a fan of needles but the team was fantastic, incredibly knowledgeable and gave very thorough details for care and how to reach them for questions. Will absolutely visit if we do this in the future.

I took myself and my daughters and we all got our noses pierced last week and I have to say we ABSOLUTELY loved it!!!! Everyone was so sweet and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. The hospitality from everyone was AMAZING !!! I took my then 8 year old son to get his ears pierced on his request. After the first ear, he wanted to take a break to collect himself before the next. The staff was so persistent about not taking a break that they crowded around him and kept getting louder trying to force him to move quickly onto the next ear. I kept trying to request they give him a break, but they kept arguing back.That was 2 years ago. Ever since, he has been terrified of needles and will not willingly take shots anymore whereas he used to have zero fears.

Patty and Jimmy are the owners they are super amazing friendly loving people. I’ve been getting piercings by patty for a long time. Her and her husband have always been professional, kind, and great clean work ! I love them if you haven’t got piercings by them yet you have to it’s so worth it trust and believe!!!

Patty was great. She was straightforward about how my industrial would need to sit for my ear shape and it was almost painless. She even helped me with questions I had about correcting a piercing that she didn’t do. Definitely would recommend her services.

Got my septum pierced here in february, overall geat experience! didnt have an appointment but they got me in pretty quickly. the owner is really cool and nice, she explains every step of the process and made me feel v comfortable. coming here for my piercings from now on! vibes are also a plus

I will never be going back to this place. I clearly states to them that I have an allergy to nickel but they insisted that their surgical steel jewelry, which works for most people, would not trigger a reaction. Weeks later after my cartilage piercing, I was in searing pain and had to go to a different piercer since I was on a vacation to get it checked out. I had a severe allergic reaction and I learned that industry grade titanium is the only jewelry you can use for nickel allergies, and “surgical steel” doesn’t mean anything in terms of what’s in it. Because of the reaction, the piercing shifted so much I had to abandon it. All that money down the drain. That’s what happens when your piercers aren’t APA certified, they don’t even know what’s in their own jewelry. People with sensitivities beware!!

I would absolutely rate higher than five stars if I could, but I cant even begin to tell yall how AMAZING the folks at the magic needle are. Its a bit of a long story, but hang in and let me tell yall every reason why the magic needle is exactly where you should go for clean, friendly, and expert piercing experiences.About a year ago I got two piercings at a shop in my college town. Far away from Mckinney, very pay and leave, pretty sketchy environment. Originally I was given basically no aftercare information, and no recommendations on how to actually take care of a piercing. Fast forward to now and tragedy strikes. My dog snags a piercing on her claw while were playing and I get a tear that quickly becomes violently infected and disgusting. I go to my doctor and she basically shrugs, prescribes antibiotics and suggests I see a piercer. I normally can count on the doctor for just about anything but now Im lost, with a gnarly infection and completely at a loss for what to do.I frantically called around to several shops and was met but rude or completely uninterested employees until the MAGIC happened. Not even past the second ring, the magic needle picks up and greets me in a friendly and welcoming manner. While Im panicking on the phone the front desk employee patiently calms me downs and tells me to come in so they can see how they can help. In a bit of a frenzy I do just that, absolutely panicking. Not only did they quickly find the time to help me in my hour of urgency, but everyone there made my day and my experience 100% better. The front desk chatted with me and cheered me up, telling me about her adorable pittie and helping me get my mind out of the panic bin. She was not only friendly, but astounded me with her pure patience, kindness, and words of encouragement. I was already awestruck at the difference between my past bad experience with piercers and the staff at the magic needle. The shop itself was smaller than I expected but had a safe, cozy, and CLEAN feel that most piercing shops lack. I watched the staff clean the piercing booth and prep new sterile equipment for each customer that entered the booth. Already, I knew I would be coming back. Then I meet the magic woman herself, Patty absolutely is a fairy godmother hiding among us with a complete boss lady aesthetic to match. When I walked back to the booth I got hit with anxiety left over from my previous experience at the bad piercer, but Patty talked to me kindly and warmly, instantly helping me realize that this was someone I could trust. Working gently, but effectively she patiently checked my piercings, walked through me with what had happened, what had been going wrong with my piercings, cleaned up the mess that was there, and taught me about actual aftercare and helping fix up the mess that was the past piercings. For the first time in my life I felt like my botched piercings could actually be corrected, and that I could actually feel beautiful with them like I had originally hoped when I got them. Beyond just helping me set things on the right path, Patty prepared me better than I could have ever expected and proved to be one of the most generous and amazing people Ive met in life. While I was absolutely 100% a panicking mess walking in to the shop, I was able to leave feeling confident, cared for, and having experienced some of the best customer service of my life. I will always recommend the magic needle to anyone whos considering piercings in the Mckinney area ( and if youre a little farther, I assure you it is worth the travel). My two week follow up is still a ways off but Im already feeling loads better and starting to see a difference in how quality care can actually make such a difference.

I’m from Colorado and i was on a trip in Texas and got my septum pierced by Patty. I have been pierced by very many people and she was the absolute best. From here on out I will make the 800 mile trip every time i get a new piercing. The entire staff was so friendly and informative! I wish I could give them more stars

Twice, 1st time it was that crowded i thought I missed news COVID-19 is over. we decided to come next day. Then next day it was a wait time of 1-1.5 hrs with no visible crowd.Next day we decided to drive further, much further considering its after all 9noy a piercing- to McKinney.The Magic Needle is a small, charming place with an interesting, appropriate to the line of the business interior With friendly staff where, where we didnt wait at all and got a great professional service.Try it!

Hi there, I just want to say that my daughters piercing is awesome.It was clean and nicely placed. The piercer was very clear on how to keep the piercing clean and all of the good things about cleanliness. This review is just for the fact that I felt the 2 women on staff Monday the 16th, when I brought my daughter in, didnt communicate very well to the customers waiting. It also felt they werent communicating well with each other. It was just a weird vibe. I cant explain it. It just seemed to take the ladies so long to get organized. The paperwork and how it was handled was strange in its order. Maybe someone was new, Im not sure. Maybe theres a system, but it was odd. I just wanted to let yall know that it was strange!!Also, very slow because of the disorganization. We were there over an hour and literally one person had been peirced.

Absolutely kind and wonderful staff!! Went in to get my seconds, and when they saw how badly placed my firsts were, they didn’t let me leave without redoing them. They were so funny and great! Absolutely will be coming back :)

I was really excited when I came to get my cartilage awhile ago. I had my doubles, another cartilage and a helix all from somewhere else but wanted to try something new. I got it done it was fine, and I left. Until a few days ago I had the cartilage piercing in. The piercing was not infected, as I was told by my doctor, but my ear looked weird at the location, almost like it was swollen and it has kind of a bump at the back area of the piercing. It did not hurt at all though and since I was told it was not infected I thought I was okay, I also moved to college so was unable to come back in. So, I went to a different piercer a few days ago to get my triples and they told me my ear was pierced at such an angle he was surprised I even had it in as long as I had. It was really disappointing to hear since I spent so much money on the piercing and he did have to take it out because it was at such an odd angle and told me that he would re do it for me.

The magic needle is hip, trendy and on point with their piercings and knowledge. Hesitant because of coronavirus and flu season, their precautions before and after put me in complete comfort.
