Chris did two new tattoos and totally redid the arrow into the flowers you see at the end. He is precise and on point and spent a lot of time with me to get the rework spot on and something that I LOVED in the end! Totally amazed and would recommend him to anyone! I’m picky AF!

My experience with Ronzy was the best by far, double checked on me throughout the session, we had good conversation and picked at each other’s brain. The tattoo came out better than I had pictured in my head, he did an excellent job, has a ton of knowledge on his craft and I could tell based off his artwork and the words that he spoke he truly cares about his craft and artwork. I’d 10/10 recommend him and will for sure stick with him for all tattoos I get in the future. Thank you Ronzy!

Got a tattoo done by @laura_tomb_raider and I absolutely love it! She was so patient with me and committed to making my piece look just the way I pictured it. Couldn’t ask for a better experience! All the staff there were great to talk to and easy to work with. Can’t wait to come back for more!

Mario Rios, aka Real Mario is a true artist. He has incredible attention to detail before, during and after the tattoo. I went in with a design in mind, he made a few suggestions, and when he was done, it truly exceeded my expectations. Great conversation during the process, a tattoo therapist so to speak! Ask for the Real Mario, you wont be disappointed! The studio is very clean and modern. Great place, good people!

Really rad tattoo shop. Very clean, organized and professional.I am very appreciative they were able to schedule me and my brother just a few weeks out from when I knew I was going to fly into Texas on short notice.Chris was very accommodating and did a fantastic job working with the reference photos we provided. Ive been getting tattooed by Dex since 2015 and wont go to anyone else regardless of his location. Hes always produced quality work. The shop is always clean and has great staff. Definitely check them out!

This shop is truly the highest quality and most comfortable place to get inked. The staff here is amazing and the artists are next level!! I went in to see Dexter about getting a sleeve done and ended up getting two sleeves. He is so freaking in tune with his craft that we hardly talked about the designs....he just went off like he was reading my mind. Again, truly next level skills!!! I have much more to get done and there IS NO OTHER place I would ever go!!! RUN, dont walk to this shop if you want the best experience for getting work done that youll be proud of for life. (Wouldve given 6 stars if I could)

Very nice shop but for the price i paid the tattoo was left unfinished and some of the lining and shading didnt take well which i understand its a hand tattoo but when i get intouch about a touch up and finishing it im told yeah this weekend maybe but will look at my calendar and 3 weeks later nothing 600 bucks palm size tat to be blown off yeah prob wont return

I cant recommend this tattoo shop enough!!! We got 2 pieces done by Lance, and he did an amazing job. Came in as 2 walk ins, and they were able to take us in right away. Every staff member was super friendly, and it was good vibes all around the second we walked in. I am IN LOVE with my tattoo, and Lance took his time to make sure everything was just the way I wanted it. The staff even helped us out and got energy drinks for us. I will definitely be coming back for more tattoos. If you want a tattoo shop that is different from the rest, (patient, friendly, with consistent work) come here! Every artist seemed great.

5 stars from me. Tomb raider helped me finished my sleeve and did an incredible job. She is an amazing artist and exceeded my expectations! From her drawing to the application, it is flawless. This is by far one of coolest and most relaxing shops I have ever been to. So glad to have come across this jewel. Highly recommend!

I came in and got a tattoo by Laura Tomb Raider and it ended up being the best tattoo I’ve ever got. The staff was so friendly and such a comfortable environment. Her line work is perfection. I will definitely back to see her for all my future tattoos.

This place is phenomenal. I am pretty picky when it comes to finding tattoo shops because I know that a lot of people are scammers around here, and its happened to me before. Let me start off by saying the people that work here are amazing, friendly, and it almost feels like a second home when you walk in. Tomb raider was my tattooist for my piece, and it was a dedication to my mom. She made sure that it looked the way I had wanted it to and even changed something to make all the wording fit on the banner. I commend them for being so attentive to detail, and at a very affordable price. You really cannot beat that anywhere else. Again Im really picky, so all the places in McKinney that I looked through did not meet my standards. If you are looking for very small intricate details I would suggest tomb raiders work because she is very good at attention to detail. The rest of the crew here are also very talented in their work and based on all the reviews I see here I can also completely recommend and agree to come here before anywhere else. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five stars back and front !!

This was my 4th tattoo and I wish Id never gone anywhere else. All of the artists seem great, but i can only speak to Chris. DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS ARTIST - he is insanely talented and I feel so lucky I was able to get some work done relatively early in his career. If you want someone who is phenomenally talented and genuinely cares enough about the work hes doing to put his heart and soul in to it, Chris is your man. Not only is his use of color and gradients truly gorgeous, hes an absolute joy to talk to. Ive already booked my 2nd appt, less than 24 hours after my first was done!

Borrowed Time is the only place I will go. Dexter does amazing work I always love the colors the look so vibrant and don’t fade. He’s also a ton of fun to work with and the atmosphere is great. I recommend him and Borrowed time to everyone who is looking to get a tattoo done. I always leave there so excited about my tattoo and smiling or laughing bc of the conversations while I was getting my tattoo done. Give them a try I promise you will not be disappointed

I went in for a tattoo on the recommendation of several friends- everybody was very friendly and welcoming, even with the ridiculous design I picked. My tattoo came out exactly how I wanted it, and Im for sure going back. Definitely set aside some time to wait if youre a walk-in because it can be a little while before youre in a chair (but there were full cleanings in between each person and the artists took their time on their work, so that is TOTALLY understandable). They definitely gave me a great birthday tattoo :)

I have, I think, 16 tattoos....most were done by a couple of other guys from where I lived in the past (and a couple done by a local shop). I searched for several weeks to see if I could find the right tattoo professional to tackle an idea that I had....most of the shops that I talked to, I got the feeling I would never let them touch me. I am so glad I found Dexter at Borrowed Time! He took my idea and I allowed him to take over and use his creative passion, and I ended up with the absolute best tattoo that I have on my skin! I will not get inked by anyone else except for Dexter from now on! I have sent a good friend of mine to get work done by him and is extremely pleased! My oldest Son will be getting work done within the next week. The shop atmosphere and other employees are awesome! My advice is don’t get inked anywhere else!

Dexter is hands-down an amazing artist. I sent him some ideas for what I wanted and gave him the creative control, and he went above and beyond. My tattoo is so much more than I imagined and we haven’t even done color yet! He is upfront, honest, and personable. I’ll be back and I’ll definitely be referring him to anyone I know needing a tattoo. You can’t go wrong with Dexter! He’s a creative genius and the artist you NEED.

Most tattoo studios I looked into had a very condescending attitude and seemed like you weren’t really worth their time if you wanted a small tattoo. Owl immediately made me feel comfortable and confident about what I wanted! He was very helpful and did great work. Highly recommend!

Dexter set me up with an amazing cover up and also memorial for a very close friend who passed recently. He worked in a very timely manner. We were constantly bouncing ideas off each other to come up with the perfect piece. I’m beyond happy with the finished piece. He is currently working on my half sleeve. I gave him my ideas and he ran with it and put his twist on it all. I’ll continue to business with only him. Might I add his prices beat anyone else in McKinney!! ❤️

We showed up as a walk in and thankfully they were able to get us in. Chris created a beautiful watercolor for me. Cam did a fantastic job on my husbands Greek lettering. Everyone in the shop was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

This place is the best shop I have ever been to. The artists give you exactly what youre looking for everytime along with giving you an amazing and fun experience while in the chair. Dexter the owner was really great with me when I was explaining the tattoo I wanted and he gave me what I wanted plus a lot more. Just had two tattoos done by a newer artist to the shop, named Chris. He did great work and was very and professional during the whole process, everything turned out great and I am very happy with it. Especially since this was my second tattoo experience ever.

I have to say, my mom lost her 12 year old chihuahua Moose on Jan 6, 2020 and for her bday she wanted a tattoo of his paw print so we came here with a pic of his actual paw print and they said they could do it! Owl was our tattoo artist and he was so professional, compassionate and so sweet while doing her tattoo! He seriously sat and personalized with us the whole time! Cool guy and great artist! We will def be coming back to see him!

If I could put 0 I would. I was calling to get a price on a septum piercing because Im not from the area and the person that answered the phone was rude and hung up in my face twice! Very rude and I would not recommend going to them for anything! Not even a COVER UP since the guy thought it was funny to mention it the second time I called and wouldnt allow me to speak.

Been going here for years now. Always a killer time, plus Dexs work is amazing. Its not just a tattoo that you get here, but memories and laughs as well.

Was supposed to be in order of arrival, but the artists sorted through and chose who they wanted. Was there over 4 hrs and watched as several others who got there after me get their tatoos before me. I had to leave, but my son stayed and finally got his, which they completely screwed up. 😠

If I could give zero stars I would. Completely unprofessional, messy shop, never on time for appointments after changing them, and more time on breaks and waiting than tattooing. Left with a tattoo that was nothing like what I wanted.

Extremely unprofessional. My gf and her sister sat in there for 3 hours. Apparently it takes an hour to trace serendipity out on a paper but he also had time to walk around and peek around the curtain to see if we were still here. Some of the artists must not want business.
