Creative Pain Tattoo Studio

My daughter turned 4 this month and got her ears pierced. I knew once she decided to do it that we would go to a tattoo shop. I searched for those close to me here in Meridian who had a piercer who had kid experience on their website. I found Maria at Creative Pain and decided to pay the shop a visit with my daughter, just to see. They said she was free and my daughter was Luke, lets do it, mommy. Maria was great, my daughter received a cake slushy, picked out earrings, Maria explained everything that she was doing, and she even placed the tools next to her ear so that she could feel it. Great experience she did cry with the first piercing, but I think she moved her ear a little with the second and cried. Only for a few seconds, then we were all better. 10/10 would definitely recommend!!! The way my daughter reacted, I think I want another ear piercing!!!😊🥰

This place was amazing. I took my 7 year old daughter to get her ears pierced. They were very professional, sanitary, and gentle. I cant say enough good things about this place. We will definitely be back.

Nikkole is absolutely phenomenal. She takes your ideas and makes them into something 100x better. Her work speaks for itself with beautiful detail and line-work. She even reworked my first piece (Haku in dragon form) and made it perfect. I’m obsessed with every piece she did for me.

I’m usually not a person to complain about much. I went for a consultation. I told the artist exactly what I wanted, the size I wanted, and the placement of the tattoo. I even showed pictures of what I wanted. I was quoted $400 or less for both pieces. I paid the deposit to book my first session. I was told the deposit would go towards the total balance. I went for the first session and when the artist finished, I was told it would be $350 for the first piece. So, with my deposit, that is already a total of $400 and I still have not gotten my second tattoo. I was also informed after I paid for my first tattoo that my second one would be $100. I left my $50 deposit there to schedule my next appointment. When I went to get my second tattoo, I was told that the piece would be $150 and the tattoo wasn’t even finished and I think the artist was having a bad day because the attitude they had was very negative. The artist said to come back and get it finished I needed to leave my $50 deposit and when I came back it would be $100 more. So if I was to come back there to get my piece finished, I would already be at a total of $650. So I guess my issue is there was no point of going for a consultation and getting a quote on the tattoos I wanted if the artist was constantly going up on the price. If anything, the artist should have quoted me a higher price and made it come out cheaper. I am debating whether to just lose the $50 or try to come back there and just get a different artist to finish the piece.

I have gotten 4 tattoos from multiple people at the shop and every single one has blown me away. From being extremely friendly, to easing my nerves if I’m nervous and never seeming annoyed. I will be getting all my tattoos here, no one beats Creative Pain Tattoo Studio!

First off I’m driving from Columbus to go to this shop so that alone should tell you how amazing this place is. Got a wrist tattoo on my bday from Sergio and a naval piercing yesterday from Maria. Customer service is amazing and the environment is very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend to anyone willing to travel and try out a tattoo/piercing shop that will tend to your style and needs. Thinking up of more tattoo ideas and piercings now 😁🤣

My husband and I went to Creative Pain as walk ins to get tattoos that were very personal and long overdue, needless to say I cannot brag enough on everyone there! We were the last ones finished for the night, the tattoos exceeded all our expectations, and not one person showed us anything but kindness. Their work and dedication is greatly appreciated and highly recommended!

Matt has designed and done all of my tattoos. I highly recommend this shop. They are very helpful, creative, and professional. Matt guided me through my first tattoo experience, and now I have six! I have not had a bad experience at Creative Pain and look forward to using them again in the future.

I have gotten my last 5 tattoos here and they have all come out amazing! The atmosphere and staff is lovely. Even on a busy day I was able to get all of my tattoos done in a timely manner. I have recommended Creative Pain to so many of my friends and will continue to recommend them!

This is where my kids got their piercings done. Jen is great. I also go one of my tattoos here and one of my sons did too. Matt is awesome. His work is amazing. plus they are friendly and nice group of people.

Came in a few weeks ago or so. This was my 2nd time visiting. The first visit was phenomenal!! But this time, I was pretty let down. Before i say anything, my piercer and the piercings she gave me are amazing! She really made my day and was very, very sweet and explained everything. Im extremely happy with the piercings!! My experience prior to the piercing is why Im only giving 2 stars for my visit☹️I walked in, door rang, wasnt greeted or noticed, so i sat in the small waiting area. 30 minutes or so passed, i had gotten up to stand at the counter just to be stared at by everyone instead of greeted, and i sat again. Finally, someone came up to ring up another customer. I was scrolling on my phone, i couldnt hear between the music in my ears and also the mumbling of their voices. Then the next thing i hear is, Oh, so youre just gonna scroll on your phone all day while Im trying to talk to you 😭i looked up at this male wearing a bright unicorn hat with the floppy ears and said sorry i thought you were speaking to the other customers i then told him what i wanted done and he tells me to fill out the piercing form. And then he goes, You can actually just scan that QR code right there since you like being on your phone so much 😭literally took EVERYTHING i had not to walk off and go get my piercing elsewhere. I didnt catch his name, but he was extremely unpleasant, and obviously, he doesnt care about customer service too much. Its really saddening because my mother was planning to go get a new tattoo there, but after hearing about my experience, she will take her business elsewhere. As will I☹️ I wont put myself in another situation where i was mistreated before.

Wow ! Cat Tatt. I am so proud of it. Matt Hill at Creative pain Tattoos on North Hills Street is a fantastic tattoo artist. No pain, very gentle, and best part is he is fast. In and out on this tatt in less than an hour. Ok it was suggested I go back and get Two more paw prints. One for each of my fur babies. Got it done! I have several tats that I have obtained from different artists over the years. Id been looking for someone to freshen and add to an existing tattoo I had gotten right after my mother died several years ago. Ive been very picky. Finally found Matt. The quality of his work is wonderful. Love his light hand and attention to detail. HOWEVER, I have to say the number 1 reason I chose Matt was the impeccable customer service I received from both Matt and his wife who resides as the beautiful smile that greets you at the door! The fact these two have opened a family friendly tattoo shop is so refreshingly awesome!!! Im looking forward to my first full piece from Sir Matt!! I have had many tattoos done by Matt. One turned into ten quickly. He is light handed, quick, packs the color in, crisp lines and his shop is immaculate. His family is SO nice. Tattoos have stood up and not faded. They healed nicely. I have both color and black & grey done by him. He is the only person I will recommend. Prices are on point. Gets back to you quickly and keeps his appointments. He wont stand you up or keep you waiting. Some artists think they have risen above their clients. Matt is not like that. Down to earth dude. Jen is awesome piercer. She did my both of my ears and I hardly felt a thing. I had problem with the balls and she fixed them no problem. Matt does really good tattoos, I want to go back and let him work on me.

I had one of the best tattoo experiences with Matt Hill! I’ve been tattooed all over the country in many different shops by artists with varying experience levels, but Matt’s professionalism stood out to me. I came to him with multiple reference photos and he was able to pull what I loved from each one to give me a custom design. Booking my appointment through the Creative Pain Facebook page was so easy to communicate and the responses were very fast. On top of that he was able to price me out before I even stepped foot into the shop! When I did arrive for my appointment, it was apparent to me how clean the shop itself was as a whole. There was no dust or dirt anywhere, the chair was extremely clean, and I watched as he used new gloves as needed. During my tattoo which was in a sensitive spot, Matt offered me numbing cream that took any sensation of being tattooed away. I had no soreness afterwards as the cream wore off. He clearly explained the aftercare instructions and sent us home with what was necessary to take care of my new tattoo. He even went out of his way to follow up with me after my appointment to make sure I didn’t have any problems or discomfort and that I didn’t have any other questions. Creative Pain Tattoo and Matt Hill as a whole is easily the most ethical and genuine experience I’ve had. As one would hope any business would be, this business displayed nothing short of a professional and safe environment. Definitely will be returning to this shop exclusively!
