I went in for their 20$ tattoos they were doing for Friday the 13th and it came out so so good! I got it done by Eric and he was absolutely amazing and even gave me the option to add some shading if I wanted to! Everyone was super nice and it took no time to get in.

I had the best experience at Burn the Boats! All of the staff were very friendly. The space is cool to hang out in with movies playing and a lot of artwork to look at. They clearly take cleanliness very seriously, which I appreciated.This was my first tattoo and Chad did an amazing job. I will be back for any future tattoos!

Jacob was amazing!!! My fiance and I sent an inquiry with a really rough draft idea. Not only did Jacob get us in same day, he did an amazing job bringing our idea to life. We walked out with exactly what we were looking for. The shop was clean and had a great vibe. We will definitely be going back. Thank you!

This shop is insane!! I loved the environment and all the people in there were so amazing. I visited idaho just to go see my girl Sarah for some new ink!! She is literally the best tattoo artist I know. Her work absolutely speaks for itself. Her work is phenomenal and I would recommend her to anyone looking to get a tattoo. She brings such a good vibe and you will have an amazing time in her chair! If I could rate more than 5 stars, I absolutely would!

I contacted Sarah about getting a Phoenix memorial tattoo and after a quick back and forth, she was able to get me in the same day for both the Phoenix and a little bunny. I travel from Arizona for Sarah’s work and I would cross the country for her if it came to it 😂 The shop itself is just good vibes all around. I came for the Friday the 13th flash sale, I was placed with Ryan and he did an amazing job! Everything was super clean, super professional and everyone was super friendly too. So far Ive gotten two tattoos, one of a sunflower and another of my kitty cat. Both my artists were super sweet and kind as Im not very good with pain; both look so awesome and Im in love. 12/10 recommend. Good prices, good people, good environment. If you’re not yelling “Mike, Mike, Mike!” like it’s Hump Day when you leave Burn the Boats Tattoo, did you even get a tattoo? I drove four hours to see Mike again, and let me tell you, he’s the Picasso of ink—if Picasso was also a hilarious dude with killer music taste. Mike turned my half baked tattoo idea into something way better than I imagined! Highly recommend!

I havent had a tattoo in 14 years and when I got the itch for another - I really looked around to find an artist with a style I like, and Burn the Boats Tattoo was my front-runner. My brother had been a tattoo artist before he died, so I knew what to look for when it came to clean line work and sanitary conditions. I was not interested in tattoo flash but a collaborative piece of my design with the artists spin. Burn The Boats is top-tier! Mike was super chill, no-nonsense and it was great working with his wife to set up the appointment. The quote and time were very much spot on, and the art - well it makes me want to have all my others redone.It healed very well, much better than any of my previous tats. I have received nothing but compliments and my husband now has the itch... 😝 we both intend on going back sooner rather than later. Thank you all, I look forward to getting another.

Ryan Wadsworth is a phenomenal artist! I went in for the Friday 13th flash deals anticipating some fast and quick tattoos. They were fast but Ryan certainly took his time to ensure that I enjoyed my tattoos on my body forever! If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Ive been looking for a good tattoo shop for a hot minute now & remembered I always see BTB on my daily commute. I looked at reviews & pictures of their artists work & contacted them. I was able to get an appointment the next day with Eric Brooks. I was nervous because I havent had a tattoo in over a decade, but when I got there I immediately felt at ease. Eric is very friendly and knowledgeable but above all his work is stellar! He made this experience as perfect as it could be. Im already thinking of the next piece Id like for him to work on! I highly recommend Burn The Boats for your next tattoo! The shop is very clean & organized & the memorabilia around the entire place is so cool & really ties everything together! Everyone there is so friendly, welcoming & accommodating - it was an amazing experience. This tattoo has a lot of significance in my life & Eric was able to bring it to life.

Eric Brooks did my half sleeve in a single 9 hour session, which is honestly pretty damn impressive. He did a topographic map of my hometown, which incorporated a LOT of fine black lines. Pricing was reasonable, and on top of that they WILL try to work with your budget.UPDATE: Went back for a second piece from Mike this time. He’s definitely the veteran presence in the shop, been tattooing a long time, and it shows. Had my best interest in mind during the whole process. Has a trained eye for what will and won’t work where. Love the art from him.

Eric is an old buddy and I was thrilled when he took the leap into tattooing. Drove from California with a friend to support the new venture. The shop itself is clean, welcoming, and spacious. The staff were humorous and the vibe very relaxed. The art and memorabilia is like all classic 80s movies were in a freight train accident in the lobby and exploded over the walls. The work itself went well. Eric has soft hands, delivers clean lines, and his choice of color mixes reflected my needs well. He also filled in a few touch up spots on one of my older pieces. Will be making this a yearly trip if possible.

Mike Beard was awesome! These were my 3rd flash tatts from him, and he was so fast. Good lines and good advice on where to put them. Overall, Burn the Boats is a fave. Theyre organized and fun, and the shop is so cool! $20 flash on Friday the 13th!!

Got my first tattoo ever from Eric Brooks. He did amazing! Was great with all my questions, and making me comfortable. Loved the design he did and how it turned out. Bonus the shop is fun, clean, and vintage.

My sisters and I did a walk in for matching tattoos. Jacob was amazing and very professional. He was very patient with us and did beautiful simple tattoos. I also appreciate his honesty with size and placement of the tattoos. Thank you so much for making the experience memorable and fun for us. I will definitely be coming back. The shop itself was nice and spacious. I also loved that there was Happy Gilmore playing while we were being tattooed.

The place is amazing!!!! The entire atmosphere is fun and relaxed! You feel welcomed and comfortable from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave! The giant movie projector is brilliant!! Helps keep your mind occupied (less painful for me that way) and the time flies by! This crew rocks! Mike is super kind and communicates clearly and makes sure to get your tattoo just the way you want it!!

ERIC has been amazing to work with! He was very communicative and responsive to every question we had (matching tats for anniversary). ERIC spent as much time as we needed to get the perfect design worked out. He has a great personality. Unlike a lot of other artists that I’ve experienced. Mike is amazing to work with. He wants you to get something you will be happy with and helps you with design if needed. Very sanitary and strictly follow safety protocols. He is hilarious and made me laugh throughout entire appt. This is such a nice shop, super clean and full of fun memorabilia from the 80’s. My tattoo turned out ever better than I expected, I LOVE it! Chad drew my bee out. He listened intently to how I wanted the legs and wings to look, and his shade work is impeccable. Make an appointment you will not be disappointed.

What an amazing place, not only is it a great shop but it’s like a museum of 80’s memorabilia. Super cool place and extremely nice and talented artist. Eric Brooks was super patient and made sure he had my ideas perfect on paper. He placed and replaced several stencils, until we found the perfect fit. I also got useful information before hand from the front desk manager regarding placement of tattoos and what would work for my life style. Super happy with my new ink!!

This is the best tattoo shop i’ve been in, some shops are usually kind of scary or intimidating but this one is super welcoming and had great vibes. I got tattooed by Ryan, he was super professional while still making it an enjoyable experience. He did a really amazing job on my piece today!! Totally would recommend hitting him up!

Sarah is such a an amazing artist. She worked to create absolutely gorgeous designs within our budget. My aunt and I got memorial tattoos together, and our tattoos go together beautifully while reflecting our personal styles. The shop is also amazing, super clean and bright and filled with tons of cool memorabilia. Super supportive with aftercare too! We were sent home with fun aftercare kits, and they had no problem replacing the healing wrap on my tattoo after it got messed up. Overall awesome experience!

When in with a tattoo of my wife’s name (now ex-wife), I know silly me. Eric welcomed me into the shop and we spoke about a coverup. Eric was enthusiastic about my choice and did an amazing job! I walked in a couple weeks ago and was immediately greeted by Eric Brooks. He was super nice, patient, listened to what I wanted and is a very amazing artist which is why I recently went back for my 2nd tattoo. Great experience!I was in dire need of covering up a previous tattoo, and I lucked out finding the talented Chad Ager to help. Chad creatively concealed the old design with a stunning and intricately beautiful butterfly. Seriously, it’s gorgeous! This tattoo holds deep significance as it pays homage to my late mother, who lost her battle with cancer. I’m certain that she would have been moved to see such a beautiful tribute in her honor.Grateful beyond words, Chad!

I was referred in to the shop by a friend. I have several tattoos and I have to say Jacob did an AMAZING job. He was funny, easy to talk to and listened to my idea. He did a beautiful tribute to my father on my shoulder. I had questions afterwards, my bandage was coming up, and he fixed it the next day. Awesome customer service! When I get my next tatoo, I will come back.

My tattoo is so clean and amazing, I couldnt stop smiling after seeing the finished design! I used to have a dentist who had a tv in the ceiling, watching MTV while getting my teeth cleaned made me looks forward to going to the dentist. Burn the Boats carries the same appeal ñ, The range of iconic wall art and artwork as well as classic films playing in the background really make this a fun tattoo shop. But what makes it more fun? Eric Brooks! Eric is an amazing artist, with an amazing imagination and knack for creative twists. He collaborated with me on an amazing piece and helped adjust it to my liking. I was very impressed with the plan and execution. I will definitely return to Eric for more pieces to come, even if there weren’t movies playing in the shop. He does great work i couldn’t recommend him more.

Foooking love this place!!! The vibes are amazing and there’s so much cool 90s/80s memorabilia that you’ll find new stuff everytime you look around. The staff is top notch and everyone is funny. Eric is such an inspired artist and really makes you feel comfortable. His drawings in the bathroom and his skill and attention to detail is something you don’t find in every artist! The staff are all very professional and they all will tell you if they think what you want is something that a different artist would be better for. I love love love this tattoo shop! Have traditionally had most of my tattoos done by a different spot and decided to try out BURN THE BOATS. Great looking open space, everyone was friendly and my artist Eric did an amazing piece of work. Plus they were able to schedule me very quickly. Highly recommend.

I came in right when the opened and Ian happily took me as a walk in. I explained how i was only interested in spending a set amount of money and Ian was a dope guy and took on my idea because he thought it was cool😜 My first time being here and it definitely won’t be my last!

This shop has everything a person wants. It is clean, friendly and decked to the nines with intriguing decor. The multitude of talent flows out the front door and the amazing staff are welcoming and inviting. My experience here was more than I expected, and I will be returning for more work soon. I got my tattoo from Mike! I originally was going to get two small ones. One in front of my ear, and another on my ankle.Mike let me know that the idea I had for in front of my ear would not look good in years to come and I truly appreciated that. I decided to just get one on the front of my ankle. The tattoo he gave me was exactly what I wanted. If not more!! Would definitely recommend them and I would go back again!

Unfortunately when I was 18 I decided to get THE WORST TATTOO OF MY LIFE that I have since regretted. I walked into the parlor yesterday and was greeted with kind, and friendly faces and got an appointment for my cover up the next day! Eric Brooks was my artist and was absolutely AMAZING to work with. His detail to line work and shading is excellent and he is beyond talented when it comes to tattooing. I cannot recommend him enough. My cover up tattoo turned out to be everything (and more) that I wanted and I couldn’t be happier with his work. 5 stars for Eric!

Eric did an amazing job!! He is an apprentice and has been working towards this for 4mo now. His artistic ability is far beyond that!! He was kind and attentive. Shop is decorated uniquely with memorabilia, toys, art, neon rope lights, two projector screens, a very comfy sofa and a bumpin sound system. I found it to be thoughtful and welcoming. My artist, Mike Beard, was very personable and patient answering my questions. Uses saniderm patches and gives you an after care kit with your wash, lotion, blow pop and a sticker! Well done guys! Cant wait to go back! And of course, my tattoo is so good! :)

I had Eric brooks do a awsome rocks glass on my shoulder. He killed it with the color and beautiful line work. He also made me feel very welcome and comfortable would definitely recommend this shop and this artist. 👌

Not only did Mike do an amazing job bringing my idea of my aspen lady to fruition last year, but I also couldnt be happier with the cover-up he just did on my 20 yr old tribal butterfly. Its my 2nd time with Mike and 3rd time at Burn The Boats, and I wouldnt go anywhere else. My other tattoo there was with Sarah, and she did a great job too! Ill be back!

I love this place and the atmosphere it was a place of definite throwback to your years as a child and the staff is awesome, a big Thank you to Jacob for the tatts, we couldnt get exactly the way I wanted but he redesigned it better than I expected and gave me advice on the tattoo as he redesigned it and a better way to fit it, trust in your artist to do their thing is the best way. I cant wait to go back and get more done.

I had a pretty great experience getting a piece done at BTB. Jacob was my artist and he did an awesome job. Overall, the place looked really good. If youre a huge Star Wars fan like me, youll be able to appreciate basically a whole wall dedicated to SW art. They also had a big projection screen playing movies that helped keep you occupied. I plan on going back here for whatever piece I have planned next, and Ill definitely be hitting Jacob up for it. He displayed professionalism during the session, and also checked up on me several days later which I appreciated too.

Got the most amazing tattoo from Queenie. It was definitely painful however Queenie was fantastic. I know I wiggled a bit but she said nothing. This tattoo means so much to me and there couldn’t have been a better artist. The line work, the shading, all of it is even better than I had imagined. I enjoyed the other artists as well. I was there for 8 hours so I saw a few clients in and out and all of the artists are very talented and are nice company. Thanks so much Burn The Boats and Queenie!

Ryan was awesome! He responded to my request within a couple of days and had me on the books for the following week. He helped me come up with a design that worked with ideas and worked efficiently and professionally. Made sure to ask me numerous times about placement, comfort, and my genuine happiness with the design. Choose this company due to the reviews and rewards received, dont be fooled. Scheduling process was easily done through text, but they rescheduled me which I didnt want, but oh well I guess. Provided explanation and photos of what I wanted. Artist brought up photos on his tablet and I chose one I liked better. I was very excited for it to turn out like the picture! Unfortunately it did not. Half looks great, but the other half Im going to have to go get fixed. The coloring came out well. Artist said they would follow up, but never did. It was a meh experience and I was surprised after seeing all their rewards and reviews that it wasnt more exceptional.

I got my new ink here with Sarah and loved the experience and shop (all 80s and 90s nostalgia...like a collectors shop) along with the comforts of good people and movies for longer sits. Go support em. I cant wait to finish my sleeve with Sarah.

This is the second tattoo Ive gotten here, and I will keep coming back. Not only is the shop entertaining with everything 80s, but you get to chill out watching 80s movies. Its clean, friendly, inviting and a very easy feeling. Every time I walk in I see something new!So.....like I said this is my second tattoo I got from Mike. I got what I wanted, but felt like it was missing something. It needed more. After I healed I went in to add to my piece. I love it 10x more!!!! Its now surpass my other tattoo from Mike (which is also amazing), and its now my new favorite!! Im already planning another and yes, Im going here. Why would you not! This was my first tattoo experience and Mike made it a great one! I had consulted with another local shop in Boise and never heard back! So it was quite exciting to get in for a consult and appointment all in one. The only down side being it may have felt a bit rushed going from consult to appt. with no time to think over any changes. However, I am very happy with the end result and Mikes artistry! He used saniderm for healing and it barely had any redness and absolutely no liquid residue. Very clean healing process which is reassuring for a first tattoo! If you go here you wont be disappointed. The atmosphere is very fun with nostalgic 80’s/90’s decor and they play a movie through a projector for a great distraction!

Mike did an INCREDIBLE job adding to my husband’s Angelfish on his arm! My husband already had the first 2 done in Washington a few years ago for my daughter and I, and he wanted to get a third one added for our son. Mike nailed it and we are so happy with the end result. My husband is so excited about it. Also, the shop was amazing. My husband loved being tattooed there and said it by far his favorite place he’s been tattooed at. His new angelfish is definitely his best tattoo he has now and we’re already talking about what he wants to get next with Mike. Also, turns out tattoos make great Christmas gifts! David is amazing! When I arrived he had put a lot of thought into design already based on some ideas I sent over. He was super chill with the creative process during design, no pressure and lots of options. He also has a light hand and CANDY! Davids energy is relaxed and makes the whole process easy. I was recently tattooed by my friend Eric Brooks over the Thanksgiving week. I came all the way from Colorado to see family and get 3 small star constellations that have special meaning.I was already familiar with Erics amazing art/drawing skills so when he started tattooing, I knew hed be the one Id want. He did not disappoint! He made sure I was comfortable with his initial drawing and gave me some different ideas for the stars. He was gentle and made my overall experience worth the trip!And...the whole place is pretty rad with all the 80s memorabilia to look at!

I have gotten a few tattoos from the lovely Sarah! She did such a good job and worked with me on the designs. We had good conversations and she was so much fun to work with throughout the whole process! Not once did I feel uncomfortable or unwelcome by her or her coworkers. Would recommend burn the boats tattoo to anyone looking to get a tattoo for the first time or get another piece!

I cant say enough about Sarah Cooper! I knew from our very first text correspondence that she was going to be amazing. She took my vision and put her talent and heart into it to design the most beautiful piece, all the while asking questions and taking input to make sure it was exactly what i wanted. Sara Cooper is AMAZING!! After losing my dad, mom and stepdad all within 2 months she helped me create a beautiful tribute to them. She also put my nickname that my mom always called me in her handwriting ♥️ I also love this shop!! Such a fun place with awesome artists. Looking forward to future visits with Sara!!!

This shop is amazing! As soon as we walked in we were greeted and sat by a young gentleman with shoulder length hair. My artist, Eric has incredible skill. I gave him a few ideas of what he wanted and was able to create the perfect tattoo. He was extremely friendly and open to all of my ideas. Thank you Eric!!!!!

Came in a couple weeks ago with my partner to get their chest piece. Ended up getting my own tattoo as well as I couldn’t bear it! Sarah helped my partner and I, and did an amazing job conversing and making us feel comfortable. Plenty of good vibes from the owner down to the apprentices. I think I found a permanent shop for sure. Ps. Sarah recommended the surprise tattoo box for this particular piece and it came out awesome!

Great place to get a tattoo. The whole crew was funny and welcoming, and booking was easy. Been to places in the past were artist are kind of jerks and seem annoyed to be there. You can tell that everyone loves coming in and doing their job. We got wedding ring tattoos for our anniversary with Sarah and she is awesome and makes you feel comfortable the whole time, even though she is legally stabbing you lol. Definitely will come back for more work in the future

Love my new tattoo from Eric Brooks did an awesome job on a tattoo and answered all my questions about his equipment and style. I really enjoyed the shop it’s my third time getting a tattoo done there.

I got my tattoo from Ryan, who did an awesome job bringing my vision to reality. He was easy to work with, professional, and took the time to give me his absolute best work. One thing I really appreciated about this shop was the aftercare kit they send you home with! Ive never had that from a tattoo shop and it is much appreciated knowing Im not going to accidentally use the wrong stuff on my new tattoo.
