UPDATE:I went last night with my boyfriend to get his third piece done by Aaron, and as usual, it came out amazing! I highly recommend Aaron as a tattoo ARTIST!! You give him an idea, and he creates whatever you want. If the first one isnt to your liking and you tell him what needs to be changed, he does it. I also got some color added to a little bird tattoo I already had back in December. It was part of my Christmas present from the boyfriend, and he made it match the color of my Conure Parrot perfectly!Original Review:I went to get my second tattoo for the Halloween special they were having, and I couldnt be happier! The artist and his wife are super nice and very knowledgeable. My best friend and I had appointments, and my boyfriend decided to tag along to check it out since he doesnt have any tattoos yet. He ended up getting his first one after our appointments were done. Not only did he do it without an appointment, but he designed it right then and there and stayed super late to finish it. I highly recommend this tattoo shop and will definitely be going back many more times!

I cannot recommend Aaron at 1-Of-A-Kind-Inks Tattoo Studio enough. I was so fortunate to meet him about a year ago when I was seeking a skilled tattoo artist who specialized in black and grey designs. Since then, he has completed 10 tattoos for me. Each one has been a collaboration between my vision and his artistry. He has such skill for fine details and clean line work. He is truly a professional. His shop is clean and welcoming.

I couldn’t be happier with my experience here. The consultation with Stephanie was easy and informative and she scheduled me quickly. The studio is also very clean. I showed her two tattoos that I wanted from Aaron and he made my visions a reality. He made me feel at ease during the entire session as I had not gotten a tattoo in 10 years. He takes great pride in his work and it is evident when you see the finished piece(s). Highly recommended!

Aaron did an amazing job covering up my name tattoo. I’m satisfied with how he created my tattoo with intent and made sure it aligned with a piece of my story.His wife is super friendly and made me feel comfortable. The customer service is top notch.

This is an amazing tattoo shop located in Middletown CT. I am extremely happy with all the work Aaron has done for me over the past few months. If i could give 10 stars I would!!!It always brings me joy to see people passionate about their craft and thats Aaron. You can tell he eats, sleeps and breathes tattooing. You can see his determination to provide the absolute best quality in every tattoo regardless of size and subject matter. Every time I bring an idea to him, he completely exceeds my expectations! Hes punctual, professional and a master at his craft. I have dark skin and each piece (even with color) looks amazing!!! I 100% recommend his shop and Ill be going there as long as hes in the profession. The pic Im attaching is my most recent tat by him which is half way done. I couldn’t recommend 1-Of-A-Kind-Inks enough! I have had two tattoos done by Aaron and each has come out absolutely BEAUTIFUL. My friends and I came in at the absolute last minute a few months back for matching tattoos; Aaron and Stephanie were literal angels and accommodated us (despite how late it was!) and Aaron delivered three clean, amazing tattoos that healed beautifully under their thorough aftercare instruction. I just sat for my second piece yesterday and I am absolutely blown away by the quality of Aaron’s work. Both Aaron and Stephanie’s professionalism, expertise and kindness from start to finish is unmatched. Each experience here has been awesome; I couldn’t be happier with my tattoos and I will return again and again.

I went in with my girlfriend and her friend for their tattoo appointments not planning on getting my first tattoo at all. After meeting the artist and seeing his dedication to his craft and how much pride and professionalism he put into his business I decided to get my first tattoo. I was absolutely blown away with how well he was able to translate my poorly worded thoughts into a design that ended up surpassing my expectations. The tattoo came out amazing and healed up very well. I will absolutely be a repeat customer and recommending everyone I can.

Aaron is an amazing artist and Stephanie is so kind, informative and caring. They really take care of you when you come to their shop, and it shows in everything they do. My friends and I went in with 2 of us having appointments and one of us there to tagalong, who didnt have any tattoos. We all 3 left extremely satisfied, me for a second (or third) time. I really cant say enough good things about these two. Definitely gonna be a regular customer

Cant say enough about how great Stephanie and Aaron are. Id been debating getting my first tattoo for months but was nervous, so spur of the moment I decided take the plunge and get one ASAP. I talked to Stephanie on the phone that afternoon and she was so knowledgeable and supportive, and got me in THAT NIGHT.When I walked in there was only a little bit of a wait, but mostly because Aaron was being thorough with his last client and taking the time to make sure his station was super clean and ready to go. Once I got in, he explained his whole process and safety measures to guarantee a clean and healthy tattoo. He was great at detailing the after care process as well. My only regret is that I didnt have MORE time in the chair with him as he is a really talented artist and calming conversationalist.Ill definitely go back to add to my tattoo in the future (and Im thinking my husband will too as he also loved chatting with Aaron!)

I’ve been wanting to do a tattoo to signify the relationship I had with my Grandmother, who passed a couple years ago. I didn’t know where to get it done because all the tattoos I have were done where I used to live. Well! One day I saw Aaron’s shop and just decided to stop in and talk to someone about it.. I couldn’t have been happier when I met Aaron and found out he was from the same area of CT as I and we had many mutual acquaintances, including one of my previous tattoo artists!! I immediately felt super comfortable! Moving along to when I got my tatt done… Aaron was professional and very knowledgeable. My finished tattoo is beautiful and I WILL DEFINITELY be going back to see Aaron soon!!!

Got my first tattoo here, Aaron was super informative and kind throughout the process! Went back for a second tattoo that was much bigger than my first yesterday and got the same great service and couldnt be happier with the result. Great shop, great artist, fully recommend!

I got my first tattoo and I couldn’t be more pleased. Aaron is a great person and artist. He takes the time to listen to what his clients communicate to him about what they are looking for. I would recommend anyone looking to get a professional tattoo to at least stop in to 1 Of A Kind Inks, across the street from Walgreens on Washington Street. There is plenty of well lit City Perking directly across the street.

I was a walk-in and showed Aaron what I wanted. He made a great stencil and went to work. I was looking to get something done quick and he made it happen. Ill be making an appointment next time to get something bigger done. Aaron was very chill and easy to talk to. His piece book in the front of the shop speaks volumes of passion for the art of tattooing. He cares about the Middletown community also!! My tattoo was the Mars Rover Opportunity and its last message to Earth. A bot that was only supposed to last 90 days on Mars but far succeeded that. The lettering is supposed to look like a childs because Opportunity was a child 😄Thanks Aaron and Ill be coming back again soon!!

The manager is so sweet and her customer service is amazing she worked with me with pricing and what I wanted. The tattoo artist was great have me a walk through on everything and how to properly take care of my tattoo as well as taking his time and patience to get it done. Im definitely coming back here for more work and I recommend this place to everyone.
