Kapow Ink tattoo

I have been pierced here three times the first by Willow who pierced my nostril perfectly, the second by Ben who pierced my septum and made it super quick + easy and lastly by Jessie who pierced my other nostril and explained the risk of piercing it again since I had it done at another shop and it tore, she placed the piercing perfectly and took my anatomy into account when placing the piercing + matched it perfectly to willows placement after assessing my nose and letting me know it could be done! I have also been tattooed by Tym many times,he no longer works there but I would highly recommend checking out the shop as all my experiences have been great and it’s clear the staff are educated and cool individuals :)

I ended up at Kapow because a shop down the road said they weren’t able to do piercings that day, even though we called the day before and they said to just come today. So I found Kapow was two minutes down the road and they said they’d take us as a walk in. We were greeted with the most friendly and personally shop employee I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. I believe their name was Jess. They were personable, friendly, funny, and just pure amazing. The wait wasn’t long and the piercing was professional, clean, and perfect. Honestly, if I ever need a piercing or recommend anyone, it’s Jess with Kapow. I am extremely impressed. Thank you so much!

I came to just get my nose pierced and both me and my bf ended up leaving with tattoos too. Everyone here was so nice. Willow did my piercing and was so professional and nice. She explained everything with a lot of details and was so fast!! Tyler did my tattoo and he was amazing. Very friendly and professional, and even let me pick the music while getting tattooed. The studio is super cool and they have very good prices too. 10/10.

I wanted to get another tattoo as kind of an impulse so I was at the Greenfield shop on a Friday as soon as they opened. On the website they do say that its first come first served so I wanted to be there to see if anybody was able to help me. (Your mileage may vary depending on their availability.) Tyler was open and was able to get me in right away. It was a simple line drawing that I already had picked out so there wasnt any design work. We just talked about the placement and the size and he was ready to go. Its in a slightly awkward place but Tyler was great and professional. We ended up talking about other tattoo ideas we had and Ill definitely be back if inspiration strikes again. The shop was really nice and everybody there was very friendly and it was a great experience.5/21/23 - barely 3 weeks later and I went back and had another line drawing done by Tyler, this time on my outer right leg. Great shop with really nice people. Definitely recommended.

Went to get a tattoo fixed after another shop botched my arm up. Only to waste my money & it not look any better! Thank goodness for The tattoo artist I found who helped fix it! Would not recommend this place...Clearly the artist didnt have an eye for how create a nice tattoo. Looking at my before & after pics its was an easy fix but the artist made my tattoo harder to fix!

This place is a vibe from the artists to the art just an overall great experience. Just got an nose piercing and now planning on a tattoo due to atmosphere and amazing people working. Willow was amazing!!!!

Hello,I went in earlier and there seemed to be some pretty severe communication issues between the tattoo artists, the store front, and the customers. I had a tattoo appointment for 4:30pm and was told that I could come in up to a half an hour early. I showed up at 4pm in order to talk about placement and size and the artist, Tyler never showed up. I waited for an hour and a half as he never emailed and the other workers and store attempted to get ahold of Tyler. The communication was poor and he never cancelled. This is very unprofessional and poor for customer service. As a follow up, I was also told that there would be a follow up email to reschedule and there was none. There was never an apology or acknowledgment of how poorly this was handled. I would not advise getting a tattoo at this venue.

Such a cool Place! We got our ears double pierced! Very professional and patient in explaining the differences in getting your ears pierced and understanding why a needle is better than a “piercing gun”. Would recommend to even check out for all its fun ambiance!

Willow was by far the best piercer I’ve ever had. I went in to get my nose pierced and they did an outstanding job. Incredibly kind, friendly and professional. Highly recommend for your piercing needs.

I just got a new septum piercing and the piercer (Jessie Otero) was absolutely amazing! She killed it!! I love it so much and she was so kind and sweet. Continued talking to me about everything including aftercare, educated me on the anatomy, and was very supportive after! Definitely recommend going to her if you want a piercing!

Got piercings with 2 of my friends, technician was named Willow and they did a wonderful job, went over everything with each of us, even those of us who have had piercings before to make sure we know everything we should. Was a great experience and certainly will come back here if I intend to get any more piercings. The shop also has a wonderful atmosphere and polite staff. Wonderful experience.

Tyler is phenomenal! I’ve gotten a few tattoos from him and the line work is superb. I also appreciate that he talks through the techniques he’s using as he’s tattooing. It makes me feel confident in his skill level. All my tattoos have turned out beautifully.The overall environment of the shop is welcoming and there is always someone at the front to help you promptly. I’ve tried a few different shops in Milwaukee and I will keep coming back to Kapow.

Took my daughters in for ear lobe piercing. Such a great experience for them dealing with a clean and safe environment. They definitely enjoyed all the decorations in the shop as well. Would recommend to anyone and 1 big plus is they take walk in customers. Amazing service!

Willow was the absolute best! I went with 2 friends to get piercings. Willow was so professional and kind. We were walked through every step and not once did we feel uncomfortable. Awesome and professional. I cant say enough good things! If you want a piercing, ask for Willow. Thank you Willow!!!!

I took my younger daughter here to get her ears pierced. After the first one, she was scared because it hurt. Ben, the piercer, was fabulous with her and very patient while she calmed down. Once she was calm and ready for the second one it went super fast. I highly recommend this shop. They were professional and just amazing.

Absolutely loved this place!! Willow and Jessie are very nice and very helpful with any questions you may have. Jessie pierced my Helix and she was amazing. She was very gentle and kept talking to me to help with nervousness. Definitely will be coming here again.

5/5 stars! Took my 12 year old here to get her ears pierced after to many failed attempts elsewhere. (Dont go to advante garde)Willow was fantastic. Treated my daughter with kindness and value. My child and her emotions mattered. Basic ear piercing of earlobe cost us close to 60 plus tip. Walked in. Taken care of, pierced and out the door in less then half an hour with someone in front of us. Very speedy. Very proffesional. Shop was wickedly decorated. Artists are all amazing. I want to come back for some tattoos.After trying different tattoo shops and piercing parlors for 2 straight months. I wish id of gone here the first time.Lesson learned.COME HERE TO GET PIERCED. They are actually open, and honest.Loved this shop!!!!!!

I walked in for a nose piercing and left with so much knowledge of piercings and after care that I never knew ! Jesse was amazing and made me feel so comfortable and safe. Definitely will be back for the other piercings I want. Highly recommend !!

My husband and I went in yesterday to get Roman numerals done. Highly recommend Tyler! Im still shocked at how painless and clean the tattoo came out. We couldnt be happier and will definitely be back!

My 13 year old daughter wanted a helix piercing. I made an appointment at Ulta and was told they only do love piercings. They told me to go to Kapow. I called Kapow and spoke to Willow. Willow said to bring my daughter over and they would take a look at her cartilage and decide if it was doable. When we arrived the whole staff was very nice. Willow was the first to greet us. My daughter plays year round softball and basketball. Willow was honest and talked directly to my daughter about the risks of sports with cartilage piercings and that she should wait to do it until she is done playing sports because cartilage piercings take a long time to heal. I was so impressed with this honesty and the time taken to educate my daughter. They could have taken our money and done the piercing with no explanations. Thank you Willow for your professionalism and kindness!

Got a tattoo done july 8th, payed about 150 (not including tip) and it took over 2 hours for a pretty simple tattoo that isnt too big.I have been reaching out for the touch up for over a month now, the tattoo artist (courtney) simply ignores those emails. Would NOT recommend this place to anyone looking for a professional and reliable tattoo artist.

My girlfriend and I came in today to get her belly button pierced, our piercer was Jessie! She was phenomenal, one of the best piercing experiences both my girlfriend and I have had! Kapow has always been great to us, but Jessie was amazing!

Horrible experience. Called ahead to make appointment and explained tattoos we were looking for. They said it was first come - first serve. (We were surprised they didnt want us to email the designs prior) Showed up right at noon on a Sunday. No one was there except employees. Got told we needed to email designs first. Apparently couldnt help us right away due to having to draw out and wanted us to come back later. Ok - No problem....(Still odd considering every tattoo I have ever gotten the artist drew on the spot - but, every where is different) Then tried coming back later and got cancelled on. Rescheduled again and got cancelled AGAIN. Clearly not looking for more business. Unfortunate because was looking at getting several tattoos done over next few months and was trying to find an artist closer. Guess I will go back to my old place on the Eastside. Definitely never going back to Kapow and telling friends to stay away. Their artists and tattoos there could be amazing...if you can ever book an actual appointment

My friend and I walked in for nose piercings and Willow was our piercer. They were very kind and super cool. They made the process super fast and not nerve wrecking at all. I would 100% recommend willow for any piercings you want done. They were amazing!!

Went in to get a cool spyro the dragon tattoo done by Brian, had the first half of the agreed upon a price of $300. Didnt ask for a head change and was surprised he did one, because of that he changed it to $350 with out any warning. He claims in a email he did tell me but in reality he didnt tell me till after the line work was done, and some spots of the ink look like he didnt go deep enough and my skin is poking through. I also get the feeling he traced the picture that gave me my tattoo idea and the head that I used as an example for his eyes being open. The only change I had asked for was his eyes being open and him smiling and not having his tongue sticking out. I asked if it would stay the agreed upon price and he said yes that should be fine

Me and my 2 friends all went to get piercings and the people there are so nice and they give each other feedback which is really nice to see they also have really cool decor

Our piercer was Willow. Super awesome person and piercer. They did an amazing job at piercing my septum. As for the atmosphere. I loved it. They have an axolotl who is the cutest and I liked the theme of the shop too. I will definitely be back

Really wanted to like this place. Even gave them a second chance. Clearly they use terrible piercing jewelry or just don’t have good piercers. My first piercing from them got infected after day 1 as well as my friends piercing from the same day. I thought it was just a coincidence or something so I went to get another piercing and the same thing happened. Obviously I followed their instructions. I’ve literally had over 30 piercings in my life and have never had an infection let alone 2 from the same shop as well as my friends also getting infected. I also had them change out 2 of my piercings and I said put them extra tight please and they fell out the next day. Never going here again

Great experience getting my rook piercing. Walked in on a Saturday and staff was quick to greet and get us checked in. Kept us updated on wait time. First cartilage piercing for me and they did a great job walking me through it. Well be back for sure.

Got a piercing here and it got infected, the placement was also crooked. i thought maybe their tattoos would be different since it was a different person and i got a small heart on my finger and i even showed them a pic for reference and the tattoo doesn’t look anything like the pic. they also nicked my finger in the process of tattooing and made a small line that i tried scrubbing off and i got most of it off but you can clearly still see a tattoo line on my finger that wasn’t intended because they weren’t careful. the small, teeny tiny heart was also $80. that they messed up, looks like i gave a child a tattoo gun and let them do it, AND buzzed an irrelevant finger and got permanent ink on it.

I have been here twice now and both times were amazing. The first time I went was to get my septum pierced, and the person who did it was fantastic, although I did not catch their name, she/they were amazing! I did get a little woozy right after the piercing, and she offered me a soda to help get some sugar in me which I thought was exceptional. I also have gotten a tattoo done by Tyler, who was the best! He made sure that I was completely sure on the placement and even put on and wiped off the stencil 3 times for me. His attention to detail, with the stencil before, and while doing the tattoo, was very noticeable. He was upfront with the price of the tattoo right away, and even said that when it healed if it looked weird in some spots, he would fix it up for free! My only complaint is the wait times, but sometimes that is out of anyones control as you never know how long a tattoo will really take and I wouldnt blame the artist for that. Overall, amazing place and very friendly staff.

My friend and I went to get piercings on a whim and they were accepting walk ins. They were pretty busy with a lot of people waiting but seemed well organized. Even tho they were busy, our piercer took the time to make sure we were comfortable, liked the placement, and got our questions answered. She opened all of the equipment in front of us which I appreciated. Both of our piercings look great and I’ll definitely be going back for my next one.

Courtney has an unmatched level of attention to detail, through and through, she doesnt disappoint, gave me exactly what i asked for and more. Will return for a head piece.

I got my double nostrils done here about a year ago and also went in today for my rook. I brought someone with and they got their industrial.In the times I’ve been here, I had two different piercers and an apprentice. Everyone was super friendly and professional both times and the piercings were done amazingly! Couldn’t be happier with the experience here. This is now exclusively where I’ll go for piercings.

5 Stars! Girlfriend had her belly button peirced. Dude was friendly professional and very quick. The piercing was in the correct location as in not to far up or to far down left ect We were in and out of there super fast. Place was extremely clean, loved the decor AND The price as well was very proper!

The female piercer who always wears a mask messed my cartilage up. I went and got my cartilage pierced and I thought everything was fine until I went to a different place to get my nose pierced. The guy who did it said it was pierced at a 45 degree angle and I asked them for a helix but they gave me a crooked flat.

Super relaxed and fun atmosphere, everyone working there is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, kind, and a delight to talk to. Also they do great tattoos, of course.

Ive been going to Kapow for a while now for various piercings, most recently cheek piercings and a cover up tattoo (still in progress). They have been AMAZING in attending to my concerns and always tell me to come in to check on the cheek piercings if I feel theyve been acting up. Ive had to upsize a few times and they always do it free of charge. Ben has been working with me on those piercings and hes been awesome. Isaiah has been doing my cover up and so far it looks great! Looking forward to getting color on it.

Tyler is phenomenal! I have the piece Ive waited forever for, and he exceeded my expectations. Was also fun to talk to and made the whole experience great. I cant wait to go back for more.

The woman who pierced my ears was super informative, friendly and patient with me. I even felt I was a bit indecisive and she made me feel very comfortable and reassured me. It was also very affordable. Keep up the amazing work!! I highly recommended Kapow for piercings.

Awesome folks!The shop itself is clean and neat, and the decorum is nerdy, but in a way that they’ve got a little bit of something for anyone. Makes you feel more at ease, for sure.Everyone I interacted with was super nice and accommodating, also funny and relatable people, good rates, nice clean work with no blowouts or inconsistencies.Did a touch up on an older tattoo from another shop in the same go as another tattoo for a lower price, and did great on a piece that was complex for the size. No aftercare issues.I did not get any of their original designs this go around, but I saw a few absolutely wonderful ones I’ll be getting in the future.Would highly recommend, especially if you’re a generally nervous person, or if this is your first time :)

If you guys want to close at 8, then change your business hours. 2 times I called ahead to see if I can get a piercing a little after 8 after work. Both times told yes. First time homegirl was walking out as I was walking in and was visibly upset my friend and I showed up. Second time they were just completely closed. Just change your hours instead of inconveniencing others and being inconvenienced

Jesse took care of me and my tattoo in the best way possible. I found my new tattoo artists and shop. Isiah is a super cool dude as well. I am fortunate that i had such expertise during my tattoo. I already want more. Thanks to Jesse, Isiah, and the whole crew for making me feel welcome and providing guidance on placement of my tattoo. I will be back and recommend this place to everyone!

Took my 6 year old daughter to have her ears pierced and it was a wonderful experience. Ben did an excellent job! Everything was handled very professionally. I was able to have my daughter sit on my lap during the process which was very quick (the entire process from checking in and paying to leaving with her pretty pierced ears took less than 30 minutes). They use surgical grade steel so everything is safe. Gloves were worn and measures were taken to keep everything clean and sterile. I highly recommend Harvest Moon!

Took my daughter there to get her an industrial piercing. Its an ear piercing thats done in the cartilage of the ear. The first time I took her it was on a Wednesday and the person who does their piercings is only there for walk-ins Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays so they gave us a $5 off coupon to come back on Friday which I really appreciated. Ben was excellent and walked my daughter through everything he was doing as he went along. Everything was very clean and after care was went over well. Great experience!

I came to this shop after being told by another shop that I was too big for a belly piercing and it was a waste of money. Told me to come back when I lost weight, even though I had told them when I first walked in that I had just lost 160lbs and wanted it as a celebration....I am so happy I came here for a second opinion! My belly piercing is healing wonderfully and both my husband and I think it is sexy! I will be coming here for all future piercings and tattoos! Plus I LOVE their shop look 😍

I got a triple Helix the same day i booked it. I wasnt expecting that. That was awesome. It looks really good, and the guy was super quick. I plan to come back for an industrial after I heal.Edit: changed to 1 star. I forgot to come back to this but yeah dude said he used hypoallergenic metal & didnt. The triple helix got infected in less than 3 days.

Did a walk in tattoo. Friendly staff, clean environment, tyler helped me and my friend get dino tattoos. Definitely felt comfortable the entire time and will continue to come back!

My friend went here to get her snake bites done.Not only did they pierce her with 2 different sized rings, they also pierced her crooked (the rings were also upside down.)She reached out to them to explain what happened and they refused a refund and said the most they could do is remove them. Why would she go back to the place that messed her up?? She ended up getting them removed and will be getting them redone by a more professional and clean artist. (Not that I’d peg any of the people working at Kapow as “artists”)How absolutely horrible. Definitely will not be recommending. Definitely will not be going.

Don’t come here. i got my belly button pierced march 31st and it was pierced completely wrong, crooked with the wrong jewelry for my anatomy (verified by MULTIPLE professional piercers) i emailed them April 27th and still no reply. i gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited for swelling to go down before emailing for a refund, my email was extremely nice just asking to have the jewelry removed and a refund because the piercing is terrible and was causing pain because the jewelry was so tight. i called with no answers as well and now i’m forced to leave a review. i had to remove the jewelry myself and my skin has 2 very dark skin discoloration marks from the jewelry and it’s still not gone after almost 2 weeks of it being removed. the skin in my belly button was indented because the jewelry was pulling my skin so hard, i have multiple pictures before and after the jewelry removal but won’t post because they are a bit graphic.

Needed some help removing a stuck earring (twist on back) and have them replaced. The guy got it done quick and for a very reasonable price for the replacement earrings.

So due to an MRI, I had to remove all of my piercings. Aerie was very accommodating super nice and unlike other tattoo places did not charge for removal. Bought some jewelry when I got it all put back in. Amazing team.

Went in to get a nose piercing.Walked in and every was very clean. Something covered with plastic fue to Covid. Everyone was wearing a mask.Was greeted by a lovely lady at the reception desk. After my nose pierced I asked about a tattoo and they were very polite, fast and got exactly what I wanted. While there I spoke with Rick who will be doing my tattoo at the end of February. Prices are very good for how amazing his drawings are.

Have gotten a piercing and a tattoo here. Awesome service and artists. The only thing I disliked was the quality of my Friday the 13th flash tattoo, but for a 50 buck flash tattoo, i should have known what I was getting into.

I was unable to get into the tattoo shop I wanted. The reviews looked good so I came here instead. This isnt my first tattoo so Im good with aftercare and even got a sheet from them on it in case. Long story short, its infected. Its only been a week but the lines are faded. If your tattoo is still as sensitive as it was right after you got it after a few days, go make sure it isnt infected. I was hoping to find a place where I could go back to, but after this Ill be staying away.

Me and 2 friends went in got piercings. Great service from our piercer. Clean professional, i was there 2 weeks ago and my labret is healed. Piercings mostly 45 bucks great price! Will be back!

Piercer said if you wanted high quality jewelry go to waukesha now why? Would yall not have high quality jewelry your self. Or even a Variety of jewelry? You guys a piercing place. Makes no sense.

I’ve had problems going to avant-garde. They used a back that was too small for my tregus stud and my skin completely grew over the back. I obviously wasn’t going back to avant-garde. These heroes pulled that right out for me. Since then I’ve had numerous piercings done here (hood, daith, nose, and bridge) and they all have been affordable and healed well. They’re professional and clean. I definitely plan to continue to get piercings done here and probably my next tattoo as well.

Got two piercings nose and lip love them. The lip one wasnt healing well went back and they gave me a longer bar so quick and easy. They also have all this awesome comic book memorabilia that is really cool.

I called in the morning asking what time I could come to get my nose re-pierced. I was told anytime between 6-9pm. I went in at 6:30pm, both staff on the couch. One of the sleeping and of them sitting the iPad, neither with masks on. The employee proceeds to tell me the piercer is not feeling well and I will have to come back tomorrow. Never will I be going back to this unprofessionalism of a business. We are in a pandemic, if the piercer isnt feeling well GO HOME!!!

If I’m honest I’m not happy with my tattoo. I got some script done on my hip. The sizing was too small and he used too large of a needle (I was told by another artist at a different shop). I got this tattoo done in July. The first couple words are already very faded and fuzzy, while the second half has blow outs and is almost blurred together. Kind of disappointing :/

I came in for a tattoo cover up on November 1st 2018, only 4 months later you could see my original tattoo peaking through my cover up. I messaged the shop to see what they could do for me and I was told I needed to pay for a WHOLE new tattoo since this happened after the 90 days where they only do free touch ups. I paid over $400.00 for this piece, and am not happy with it at all. I found out the guy who worked on my piece is no longer there due to situations like mine. This is the work you will get from them for a cover up.

Got my first tattoo here. Isaiah did a design from the pre made choices. You could tell he seems fairly new at this. I had a decent experience but a few others were leery with him. Theres also a few spots where the line was too thin and slightly shaky. But i cant complain it still looks good to me.

I got my first tattoo here! The guy here was super professional. He calmed me down by explaining the process, and even talked to me about DC and marvel because we are both fans! My tattoo turned out exactly like I wanted and I couldnt be happier!

There not welcoming what so ever. My artist was rude, I saw him tracing so I looked over and I told him thats not the flower I said I wanted and showed him the right one, he got snoty and Yes it is. And continued tracing. I knew I should have left after that, but didnt. And of course the tattoo did not come out, not even close to what I wanted. Now I have to go somewhere else to fix it. I would NOT recomend. Never going back there again.

We called at noon..to make a appointment....she told us someone would call us back.. Lol. Nope.. no one did....so the 3 of us walked in...we wanting the same tattoo with a design ready .... 4 small number tattoo.. A 10 min. Tattoo. They ALL had a horrible attitude.....NO ONE ....wanted to tattoo us.🤔... But I guess they decided to get up off the couch and tattoo us... First 2 took. Maybe May be 10 mins. Other one 20..mins... It costed $120.00. Each... 😠

If you go go see Sean or Shawn, not sure how he spells it. His lines were perfect and steady. Good pression and definently your guy if you need work with thinner lines. Hes my new main artist in Milwaukee. They have a lot of themed flash days too and their flashes are perfect for filling up blank spots.

Walked in to see if they had openings. Employees were sitting outside on the patio. Did not acknowledge that my sister and I were in the lobby waiting for a good 15 min. No hi we will be with you. NOTHING. I called three times before to see if they were open. I should’ve probably never stopped by.

I understand it was busy, but for the other tattoo artists and the front desk lady to come in the room and rush the person doing my tattoo was uncalled for. It definitely made him rush and miss important details in the tattoo which made the quality of the tattoo suck.

Today I had gotten bored and decided to go get an ear piercing. Was really sanitary and did a great job! It was nice that they accepted a walk in so easily. I would definitely recommend it.

Did a walk in and Tyler was great. Gave me lots of options and ideas and worked fast. It was a sensitive part of the arm and it didnt hurt and it turned out crispy. Ill be back!

MJ is outstanding. Perfect lines, beautiful art and she is a great person. Love the Asian themed sleeve she gave me. She has definitely gained my trust.

Went in for jewelry for my septum, great atmosphere and the gentleman that cared for me was kind and made sure I knew what I had to do since it was my first one. Will be going there more often.

Aerie is fantastic!!!She changed out my nose piercing . she was very gentle , she knew exactly what she was doing and shes got a great personality !!!!! highly recommend

Tried calling to see if their were any piercers available for the day and right off the bat when I asked the girl who picked up caught an attitude bc I couldn’t clearly hear what she was saying thru the phone . Hung up right away no ma’am. I would understand if I was being rude but I wasn’t . So much on customer service .

Called earlier in the day to see if they were open and they told me yes. Then when I got to the shop, they didnt answer the phones or answer the door. Very unprofessional and my daughter was highly upset she couldnt get her ears pierced.

Very kind and funny staff, did a great job on my ear piercings! 10/10 recommend going here!

I havent found a shop where Ive ever felt more comfortable with every artist. My friend and I visit this shop every few months for work and everyone is extremely talented.

Went in as a walk in last Friday and they saw me still and took my ideas and made a beautiful piece for me, very kind and friendly atmosphere!

They had done piercing in mine n my daughters ear..no pain at all and very clean place and staff..will visit again soon
