I had a tattoo done over a year ago by Mickey. I told him the concepts and meaning, and told him to go for it. I’m grateful I did. He’s got amazing skill and his canvas paintings are stunning. Worth checking out their artists to see if they match what you’re looking for.

Got my first tattoo, walk in on a Sunday, ms.Emm was so nice, she did awesome job,very clean shop,good price

Stopped in as the website says thats ok. Got a name for a botanical design to cover a scar and send the artist recommended pictures and a request for an appointment. Got the, I assume auto replies that my design was not enough to fulfill the creative vibe that the artist was going for. Was told at that time that I would hear from someone that she referred me to and again received auto generated text about how somebody was “in excited about my design” and to watch my email, never heard from anyone…

What an experience!! Spent two days with James and I couldnt be happier with the results! The dude is amazing and his art is on another level! Its worth the wait!! Cant wait to go back and have more work done!

I just got the most amazing memorial tattoo of my dog that just passed recently. Mickey did an amazing job I couldnt ask for any more the image is a mirror to the picture I had him use.

Kayla is incredible. All I shared is that I wanted a sleeve and she has DELIVERED. I asked for certain flowers and I asked for them all in Grayscale. Each piece is rendered fabulously.Ive had nearly 20 tattoos from her so far, and she has done an incredible job of creating individual pieces that come together cohesively.I have a piece in color that is one of my favorite pieces and not at all what Ive seen her do. Shes done so well and I cant recommend Kayla enough. Light hand and fast work!!

Super happy with how my tattoo by Leah turned out! She was great, and was able to whip up a new design for me last minute. Atmosphere was good, very relaxed. Will definitely be going back.

Guest Artist Loren is an amazing professional! Shes very knowledgeable, amazing with thin and direct lines. They are the best Ive had done. She will be doing ALL of my future work, and I will highly recommend her to anyone and everyone. She travels and is only scheduled here for certain times of the year. So...before she heads out, get ahold of her! You wont be disappointed!!Shes extremely well spoken, great conversation (I cant sit in silence) and loves what she does, you can definitely tell she takes pride in her work!Thank you Loren!

Oh goodness, Noah was amazing. I got my first tattoo in England with friends supporting me. Today I was on my own and Noah was wonderful. The design was beautiful. He was wonderful throughout, talked to me, took a breath when I seemed to need a breath. Thank you. Ill be back and perhaps my child if they are ready before university.

Isaac did my tattoo and was wonderful! He adjusted the design to my liking, carefully placed it and asked questions so we both knew I’d be happy with it. Very professional, polite, and a great vibe there. I would definitely go back for another tattoo! You can’t go wrong here, everyone was so nice and helpful.

Cant say enough good things about my experience getting work done by Mickey. The entire staff at the shop is very welcoming and tattooing area is very easy to relax in. Spent a total of 14 hours at this shop and it felt like 2. Will definitely be back for more.

Kayla is AWESOME! My family and I wanted to get tattoos together, Kayla worked with us & created the perfect design for each of us! We all had such a great experience she is absolutely delightful! I couldnt have asked for a better experience in getting ink that means so much to me. Isaac paid attention to detail and did such an amazing job. A true artist can capture the emotion behind the ink, and he did it! I absolutely LOVE it! Thank guys for being amazing. Id highly recommend this place and I cannot wait to go again!

I got my first tattoo from Issac and it is exactly what I wanted. Since moving from Missoula to Minnesota, Ive wanted to get a tattoo that represents home and my favorite thing about home (white water rivers) but Ive never planned ahead to schedule time. I finally went ahead and got my septum pierced, even though I had been nervous about it for years. As it turns out, doing it with the Montana Tattoo Company was absolutely the right choice. From the moment I walked in the door, the service and bedside manner was professional, warm, and efficient. The apprentice who performed the piercing did a perfect job, which reflects on the culture of the shop as a whole. Only a place with high standards, good work culture, and excellent training could create an environment like this! I left with a high level of confidence in my new look, as well as in the work that was done. I will make a point of getting more work done here, even though it’s a 15 hour drive from where I live.

Got a new tattoo and touched up an older one with Kayla, first time at this shop and it was great! She did a fantastic job and the shop is super cool too. Will definitely be going back again and already recommending it to friends.

Went in to get a small simple memorial tattoo for my best friend who passed away. Mickey was really great at providing feedback on my ideas and helped me come up with a solid little tribute piece. Clean, laid back and a really pleasant first tattoo, as well as a meaningful one. Cant recommend them enough!

Kayla is an awesome tattoo artist! So nice and willing to work with any ideas. She can seriously do anything! Also the fastest tattoo artist ever! I love the atmosphere in here and that its in a more hidden location.

Edit 9/14/2022: My fourth tattoo from Mickey. Amazing as always. Worth the drive for the amazing work.Mickey Schlick hit it out off the park once again. I drove 14 hours to get here and he didnt disappoint. This was the third piece he has done for me. Even in the grocery store here in Missoula people are stopping me to look closer at the tattoo. Yes, it is that good.

Brit did an amazing job with this first timer! Totally beat my expectations, and gave me a wonderful new experience to share. The shop in general is nice and clean, and the staff are very friendly and easy to talk to. Definitely would recommend The Montana Tattoo Company!

I recently visited this shop for the first time and was at ease the entire time. Well, as much as someone as socially awkward as I can be. Ha! Everyone I spoke with was friendly and helpful. Urango was attentive and sincere while discussing my tattoo and throughout the tattoo session. I definitely would recommend this shop to anyone.

Urango squeezed my wife and I in for a fellow employee who could no longer take our appointment. He’s a fun, personable dude and does great work. Highly recommend. Noah is a funny dude as well! His dog, Bill is the best dog you’ll ever meet.

I went here to get small tattoos with a couple of friends who had never gotten a tattoo before. Noah was amazing. Extremely friendly and reassuring to my two friends who were very nervous. 10/10 would recommend if you are looking for a friendly and professional environment

I wouldnt say this is just the best shop in Missoula but the best shop in Montana. Mickey is absolutely the best artist to work with. He genuinely cares about the client and will do whatever to make sure you are happy with the outcome! He is one of the most talented artists I have came across and couldnt be more happy with the work he has done! I love this shop and wont go anywhere else in Montana. Great work Mickey!

Got my first tattoo here! Was a great place! The artists are all awesome! It was a clean environment, skilled artist and safe tools. Plus my artist gave me a deal because it took less time then he thought! Definitely will be back!

Noah is AMAZING, super friendly, made us feel welcome and comfortable. We had a great time and will definitely send people his way and continue to book sessions with him.

Chelsi did my first tattoo and she did an amazing job! She was fast and made me as comfortable as I could be getting my first tattoo in a pretty painful place (my rib cage). They have a very clean shop and friendly staff all around will recommend to anyone looking for a place to get a tattoo.

Our walk-in was delayed because the walk-in before us was late, pushing us back instead of moving the other customer to a later time. This seemed a bit unprofessional however the rest of the experience and the price made up for it.Would recommend, but be ready to be flexible

Called them twice, they told me to text them a picture of the tattoo I wanted, so I did. No reply. Called them again, they apologized and told me to text them it again, so I did a third time, texted me back and asked me where I wanted it and if I wanted it in color, I replied yes, then no reply again. Been 2 weeks now without a reply. I’ll take my business elsewhere. And I would recommend everyone else should too.

My husband, daughter, and I all got tats done here. We didnt have appointments but they managed to fit us all in (admittedly, 2 of the 3 were smaller tats). We are all very pleased with the work that was done. Thank you!

We went to get simple tattoos and were highly impressed with the machines and the cleanliness and the staff there.. my husband and I have received tattoos for multiple locations across the country and were impressed with how well these guys did. Would totally go back if we are ever in the area again and want to get more tattoos.

Got a hamsa hand tattoo here from Phil and was super happy with his work. Said he had been tattooing for 20+ yrs and that was very apparent. Well saturated tattoo with solid line work. I would recommend this shop to anybody looking for ink in missoula.

If you are looking for an authentic, skilled artist with great attention to detail, not to mention professionalism Chelsi - Soleil is your gal. Not only is she great at what she does, but she genuinely cares that you get a tattoo ( or piercing) you will love for life. She is extremely versatile in styles that she can do and the little detailing she can accomplish in a small area is pretty impressive. Plus she is just delightful to be around. I have gotten two tattoos from her and will definitely be back again.
